An absolutely stunning property, beautifully restored but with the added modern amenities.

I truly can not find any fault with this property, It has everything you need for a comfortable stay and was spotless. Located in the lovely town of Llangollen there is plenty to do especially if you are in to the outdoors some beautiful locations for a walk especially if you are taking your dog. Would highly recommend this property and are seriously considering booking again in the future. Thanks for an amazing stay

Lovely old cottage in good location for exploring Langollen.

Good kitchen facilities. Very nice living room and outdoor patio and seating.Spiral staircase was fine for us but may be difficult for some people. Ideal for a short break in North Wales.

It is clean, comfortable and well equipped. Nice welcome pack was greatly appreciated. The outside space was a great advantage in the heatwave we had. Thoughtfully provided fans were very much welcome as well. Found easy, cheap parking at The Hand Hotel, book in advance.

The cottage and location is perfect.

The use of the coop carpark could not be better especially with the garden gate opening up at the back of the cottage to aid unloading and loading the car. The seating in the garden gives lovely relaxing views over the hills. Would recommend and hope to return again soon

The property was outstanding, in terms of cleanliness it could not be faulted.

The facilities were superb, everything required to make the property, and the holiday memorable. The restoration was brilliant and the blend with modern equipment was extremely well done. The situation, of the property, is an excellent base, to explore Llangollen, our only wish, is we would have loved stayed longer. The best cottage we have ever stayed in.

This historic cottage was a treat to stay in.

The building has been beautifully restored without loosing the charm of the historic character of the cottage. As well, the little garden seating area made for a lovely rest spot at the end of our days hiking trails around Llangollen.

Fabulous cottage in the centre of Llangollen, great enclosed outside space ideal for the dogs and for sitting out stunning fireplace with log burner to keep cosy on chilly nights and well equipped kitchen can't fault the cottage and will definitely be back

The building has a fascinating history, and has been made very comfortable to stay in. Conveniently location for the town and surrounding countryside.

We absolutely loved our break away in this stunning cottage.

Everything you need is there, immaculately clean and only a few mins walk into town. We enjoyed our out of the door walks with our dogs too. The garden is a lovely place to sit with a glass of wine and relax after lots of walking. Highly recommended

Comfortable and clean, and with a great outdoor space with a covered over area so you can be outside whatever the time of day and even if it's raining. Our third stay!

The cottage itself is very special, absolutely beautiful.

A wonderful, homely holiday home. Our two small dogs very much enjoyed the safe, enclosed garden. The outside area is a gem with beautiful scenic views and what a treat to hear the church bells. A great location, close to the town and all activities. Thank you for the fans they were much needed.

What an amazing property!

We spent the weekend there to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Our honeymoon was spent in Llangollen - 56 years ago! The delights of 18 Church Street helped to make it a perfect occasion. The beautifully restored cottage is stunning - comfortable, quirky and with a lovely outdoor area to relax in. The town seems to have gone from strength to strength, offering plenty of good choices for eating out and great walking in the nearby hills to work off the calories. All in all a perfect weekend.

This cottage is faultless. I have never stayed in a more perfect place. What a gem. The quirkyness and charm is unbelievable. There is a very interesting book that pictures the renovation of this gem of a cottage. My sister & myself with 2 whippets only spent 4 very comfortable days days there but could have stayed much longer. Fortunately the weather was quite kind to us so we were able to use the beautiful outside veranda for breakfast and our evening gin & tonic

Such a beautifully restored cottage in an excellent position.

Clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Loved all the quirky ‘ups and downs’, even the spiral staircase was easily managed. Outside space was so useful and appreciated in the very hot weather we’ve had. Parking just outside, in Co-op car park, was an added bonus.There are lots of places to eat and drink just a short stroll from the cottage. Can highly recommend Chapel St Bar & Kitchen. We loved everything here so much we’re already planning our next visit.

A stunning property in a beautiful location.

We’ve absolutely loved our stay here in Llangollen - beautifully restored to maintain its historical character but with everything you expect in modern comfort - a truly exceptional stay. Loved the sounds of the church bells, steam train and working horses from the canal passing in the morning. The fantastic outside space is an added bonus and is super secure and dog friendly. Lovely outdoor seating area catching the evening sun, even in April. Easy and cheap parking in the co-op car park right outside the back door (need to pre-book).

This is an amazing property!

It’s absolutely beautiful and cosy, it’s very small which just adds to its charm, I would buy it tomorrow! As a finishing touch perhaps think about having shower gel/shampoo in the bathroom. Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back if it’s available.

Brilliant conversion in such a small footprint.

Outside seating and dining areas are stunning. Very close to facilities but quiet. Back door in garden very close to parking space. Prebooked parking is surprisingly cheap. Bathroom is stunning with great shower. For an old property it is very cosy. Everything you need in kitchen.

Enclosed garden was a sun trap, we were so lucky with the weather even managed a barbecue in March! Llangollen was a delight, well served with local amenities and beautiful walks on the doorstep. Owners accessible and responsive to contact made. Absolutely loved our week, will definitely return.

Absolutely stunning cottage!

We often visit Llangollen as a day trip as it's not too far away but decided this year we'd stay for a whole week and couldn't have chosen the most perfect cottage to stay in. It's bursting with character and charm and it's renovation has really paid off in making this such a delightful holiday cottage. We enjoyed everything from the comfortable cosy lounge, stunning bathroom and seating areas outside. Really pleased we booked a space in the co-op car park prior to arriving, it just made life so much easier with the car literally right outside the back access gate. Llangollen is truly outstanding with some of the best walks ever, lovely scenery, various places to eat and drink and plenty of nice shops too. We will most certainly be back very soon for day trips as it's our favourite inland Welsh town, but this cottage has really tugged at our heart strings I think we may well be tempted to book another stay here in the coming years, as it's without a doubt one of the best holiday cottages we've ever stayed in. Thanks for sharing it Lynsey and Dave....it's amazing!

All finished to a very high standard, super clean. It was great to have such a secure garden for our dogs to enjoy. The hosts are lovely and very responsive. Would definitely recommend and we have already booked again to return!

We had a wonderful stay at 18 Church Street at the end of January 2025.

Our expectations were exceeded in all respects. On arrival it was great to come into a warm and welcoming cottage with a nice welcome pack. The woodburner worked very efficiently and was really only needed for atmosphere because the heating system kept the cottage lovely and warm. There were plenty of towels for us to use around the property and all the basic necessities were catered for. We slept well in the very comfortable bed. We were impressed with the security and privacy of the property and it was in a great location in the town with easy access to amenities and transport links. We couldn't fault it! Thanks so much for a great stay.

We stayed at 18, Church Street for a few days after a busy working Christmas/ New year.

Everything was perfect, a nice bottle of wine on arrival with some biscuits. Well stocked kitchen with basic essentials for cooking. Can highly recommend this cottage. Great location for exploring the surrounding area. Lynsey checked we arrived safely due to weather. Fabulous hosts.

Beautifully designed to hold its magical medieval era character but have all the practical convenience of a modern home. We looked forward to coming home from our winter walks into a cosy and warm cottage. The Co-op parking behind was easy and affordable making it really easy to unload from the car. No 18 was Immaculately clean and had everything we required to enjoy our stay. We enjoyed it so much, we’re already planning our return! The owners were very helpful with great communication through out our stay. Thank you so much

What a truly wonderful property!

! A fiver star experience. We cannot fault anything about this property. Everything was catered for. For dog owners a safe environment and not far from wonderful walks. For adults a few staggering minutes from good food and wine! We had a fantastic, glorious time at this stunning cottage which has been restored to a truly first class property. The thought and love that has gone into this property is there to see. I don't want to recommend this property too much because it's a wonderous secret . If you are lucky enough to visit please enjoy all its charm and true enchantment!!!!!!!

We had a lovely week staying here at the end of October.

What a lovely house. It is obvious so much time and energy has been spent restoring it. House is in a great location, has a lovely vibe, very quirky and is well equipped. We loved staying there and will definitely consider booking it again.

The cottage is full of character and has been beautifully restored.

It was spotlessly clean, and every home comfort was provided. The location too was perfect, only a short walk into the town. The only very minor downside was not being able to park outside the cottage - we weren't entirely comfortable having to leave the car out of sight but this wasn't enough of a worry to spoil our appreciation of the property.

Absolutely loved our week here - the property has been beautifully and sympathetically restored, was very clean and had everything we needed.

It is comfortable & cosy, especially with the log fire burning. The garden area was a real bonus for our little westies. It is located just a short stroll away from the lovely independent shops and eatieries, of which there are plenty. Llangollen has so much to offer and we were very grateful for good weather to enjoy the fabulous walks along the canal, river and nearby acqueduct, there is also a steam railway but I would advise to check when the trains are running. We also did white water rafting here with a company just down the road from the cottage and it was so much fun. Highly recommend this holiday home.

Delightful holiday home in a perfect location.

18 Church Street has been beautifully restored to create the perfect mix of olde world charm with all the facilities you’d expect in a modern holiday home. We enjoyed cosy evenings by the log burner, listening to the distant peal of church bells and the twice daily clip clop of the canal horses going to and from work at the canal….bliss! The outside seating area has been perfectly designed to stay dry and sheltered in all weathers. We even sat out and watched a thunderstorm! Can’t rate this property highly enough for modern comfort in an idyllic setting. We’ll definitely be back. 5 stars *****

An amazing property with a lot of thought having gone into it to make it comfortable, even down to plug sockets being exactly where you want them.

It was spotlessly clean and well equipped. A cosy and comfortable place to hunker down into during bad weather and an amazing outside area to enjoy at other times. The property is well situated for the town and for walking with both the canal and the river to enjoy. I would definitely recommend this cottage and would stay here again if looking to holiday in Wales in the future.

The property is beautiful inside and out with access from the front and back which is very handy for off loading.

The accommodation was exceptional, we loved the fact it was an old property keeping the original features but had the additional tastefully done kitchen and bathroom. The garden is lovely, has the sun until it goes down in the evening, and the seating area is excellent with fantastic views. The hosts were lovely. The owners have presented the cottage to an extremely high standard, with both modern and traditional features in abundance throughout the property. We would highly recommend and will definitely stay here again.

A beautifully restored cottage.

This is our second stay here and the brilliant outside area was extra appreciated this week with great weather. V clean including shower drain which is sometimes overlooked in other holiday houses. Bottle of wine was much appreciated too. The book of local walks is v good too. I've got my own copy as a regular visitor to the area. We'll be back! Thank you again for another relaxing stay.

We did enjoy our stay, however there were a couple of issues which require attention.

Immediately as you enter you smell damp. My view is this is coming from the main bathroom shower as the shower screen has no bottom seal and a lot of water is escaping on use. In addition we were unable to sleep well due to the lack of blackout curtains which prevented us being able to sleep past 5am. This is however a lovely property. Thanks John

We have just returned from a week's stay at 18 Church Street and what a wonderful week it was.

Parking with a permit,directly behind the property,cost less than £20 for the whole week which was really good value for money. It made unloading the car simple as we just carried the bags through the beautiful back garden and in to the cottage. The property has been restored to its original wattle and daub architectural beginnings with a photo book available to see first hand,the work that went into it. Inside,it's a peaceful little haven,spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished and with such a relaxed atmosphere. The inglenook fireplace is stunning and looks wonderful at night with the little light to accentuate the oxblood interior. (Need to go back in winter to see the stove in action ) The kitchen is bright and modern with everything you need ,finding the fridge and freezer is a revelation ! The downstairs bathroom is bright and airy with a really comfortable,deep bath and fantastic walk-in shower. The staircase proved a tiny bit of a struggle for me as I'm using a crutch due to a ligament injury but I managed quite well ,just took it slowly. The beds are made up with pristine white cotton bedding and are amazingly comfortable,I slept better that I have for years ! But it's the enclosed garden area that was the icing on the cake. Parts of it,starting with the table and chairs first thing in the morning,get the sun all day and the sheltered seating area at the top gets its share in the later afternoon/early evening. It's protected from the weather so unless it's a hurricane,you can still sit outside in inclement weather. There is only one tiny niggle, I think a rubber bath mat for the bath interior would be an idea,just for a little extra security when getting in and out ,or specify on the info that people might like to bring one with them. Be prepared for a little noise from the occasional passing merrymaker ( the town seemed to have a few "stags" around ) but they rarely seem to venture up Church Street and deliveries to the Co-op,but these really don't have more than a fleeting impact. The other noise is simply bird song,raucous Jackdaws and church bells. But the biggest thing about the cottage is the effect it had on my partner. He has a very stressful job and is constantly strung out....after two days of being at 18 he was more relaxed than I've seen him for years...the property was obviously a labour of love for the owners and it repays by wrapping guests in a lovely,warm and quiet embrace. Fantastic stay,thank you !

Lovely property, well maintained and very comfortable.

The garden area with patio, decking and covered seating were marvellous. Our own little suntrap even though in close proximity to the town centre. Kitchen beautifully equipped, lounge and dining area very cosy. Shame it wasn't cold weather, I'd have loved to light the fire. Full credit to the owners.

18 Church Street is a one off property!

It has been beautifully and sympathetically restored and definitely has the wow factor when you come in. It's so cosy with the wood burner and the lounge is very tastefully and comfortably decorated. Lovely modern kitchen and bathroom and we loved the garden area with the fabulous undercover seating area. We had the best nights sleep in a long time. The bedrooms are very comfortable and beautifully decorated. It was fabulous to see the story of the restoration, a true labour of love. The location of the cottage is great, very central and some lovely pubs and eateries in the town. Would 100% recommend this cottage and if we return to Llangollen would definitely stay there again.

Wow, what an amazing place to stay!

The owners have done a fantastic job at renovating the property and it’s been done to a very high standard (we loved the photo book). Really easy to find and access the cottage. The house was absolutely immaculate and I’m very picky. Loved the garden and the garden furniture, which was really comfy. We even sat out in the rain in the undercover section with a glass of wine. Parking was extremely easy and the cheapest in Llangollen. It was very reasonably priced (about £2 for 24hrs), so make sure you book for your whole stay in advance to secure a spot. It’s a brilliant app to find parking anywhere, we’ll definitely use it again. The children loved the secret garden entrance, it’s a genius idea and really easy to unload your belongings from the car. The cottage is located close to the centre, so we didn’t need to use the car for our whole stay. The cottage was lovely and warm with comfy beds and a great sized tv. We played some of the board games in the evening (thank you). If you are considering booking this property, we can highly recommend it, you won’t be disappointed, it is exactly as described and a whole lot more. We loved it and loved our stay. Thank you

“My Dream Cottage” We had a fab time whilst staying at this beautiful holiday cottage.

When we arrived I was stunned to see just how truly magical the cottage is. The cottage was spotlessly clean and the owners have carefully thought out and supplied everything needed for a really comfortable break away. The character of the cottage is adorable and all of the beautiful little nooks and crannies were so intriguing. The bed was VERY comfy, and having a second toilet upstairs came in really handy. We couldn’t have wished for a more pleasant stay in Llangollen. We loved the cottage and enjoyed it so much that we’ve booked again to stay in 2025. Fantastic holiday cottage.

Despite being such an old historic cottage it was spotless. The restoration has been undertaken in a sympathetic way without any compromise to life’s luxuries and comforts. Attention to detail and quality evident from down bedding, stunning kitchen and the deep bath. Garden is a fantastic space to settle down in with a book. Great location for walking around town, the canal and the River Dee. It was such a treat to stay at 18 Church Street.

Location was excellent a few minutes walk to the main streets filled with shops, eateries and pubs. Surprise bottle of wine and packet of biscuits in the cottage, house keeper called on arrival day with a small milk for us. Very nice touch we are very pleased and would highly recommend the cottage.

A wonderful little Grade II Listed cottage in the heart of the fabulous little town of Llangollen!

We have stayed in the area several times now since 2020 and a visit into Llangollen has always been on the agenda. For this trip we wanted to stay in the Town itself. It turns out we were the Cottage owners first ever customers after what must have been a labour of love from them to restore this lovely property. A cosy lounge with a comfy sofa and equally comfy armchair, a massive fire place with wood burner for those cold evenings - the owners provide an ample starter kit. Beyond the lovely lounge is a spotless and well equipped kitchen and bathroom with a bath and separate shower beyond. The bed in the master bedroom was large and comfy. The garden area is well kept and pleasant and a surprise view of the sides of the valley when sat in the sheltered seating area was an unexpected bonus. Zero complaints and only praise. We will be booking this lovely little gem of a cottage again!
