Perfect location and hosts were helpful and friendly

Ideal location for exploring North Wales.

There's also many walks right on your doorstep. Marchlyn is a lovely property with everything you need for a weeks' stay and very quiet. Our pooch was very settled there, too. It's certainly a place we would come back to.

Lovely location and was perfect for Eryri marathon.

Very comfortable property and the log burner post race, after an absolute battering by the weather, was a godsend. Welsh cakes, milk and made fire were lovely touches to find on arrival.

We had a lovely stay here.

It was a great location for everything we wanted to do in the area. There were a couple of things that needed to be sorted, but it wasn't a deal breaker for us. Murray was very welcoming and we really enjoyed meeting the foals around the farm. Overall, we would recommend anyone to stay here. Stunning views. Wonderful walks and a delicious cake to welcome our stay.

Lovely, tranquil, clean and great host.

Perfect place to get away for some peace and rest and be in nature with great views. The cottage is not far from local attractions too. Would love to go back for longer than 2 nights next time.

A home away from home. The owners were very friendly and couldn't be more helpful. And being able to walk in with the ponies and take photos of them was such a wonderful experience. Would 100% recommend staying here.

We had a fabulous stay in Marchlyn cottage.

It is furnished beautifully and has a cosy feel to it.The property offers plenty of crockery, utensils etc which is really useful.The hosts are also very friendly and welcoming.The surrounding scenery is absolutely beautiful and it's so lovely seeing horses and sheep at such close proximity.Hopefully we'll return one day.

The cottage was perfect and so peaceful and quiet.

The location is idyllic and is a great base for exploring Llanberis and the surrounding area.

Lovely property in a great setting for hikes in the mountains straight from the property.

Well equipped lovely clean and tidy property with superb heating and great WiFi. Lovely friendly owners even texted us when the snow came advising where to park the car if it was really bad. Thoroughly enjoyable stay would definitely stay again. Nice garden area for the dogs too.

A spacious, well presented and furnished cottage with everything you need.

The owners are extremely pleasant and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The little gated garden opposite the cottage is perfect for sitting and relaxing in to enjoy the beautiful and dramatic scenery which surrounds the cottage, we absolutely loved it just disappointed that we only booked 2 nights!

The property was so well stocked with everything that we needed there. The owners were so lovely and welcoming. We didn't need anything but I have no doubt that both would go above and beyond to support and make sure your stay was perfect. The dogs very much enjoyed their holiday too and we loved nothing more than waking up on a morning and admiring the stunning views from the property. We will 100% be returning.

Despite it being high up. It’s soo easy to get to places (by car). The hosts are wonderful and it feels like a home away from home. Without a doubt the best place we have stayed. We are currently looking to book back in.

Marchlyn was such a gem, nestled among abeautiful mountainous landscape, with views of the owners beautiful Welsh Mountain Ponies.

Welcoming arrival with little homely comforts such as Welsh cakes and fresh milk in the fridge. A true home from home. A short journey to Snowdonia and a 20 min journey to zipworld. Exceptional hosts, we hope to come back for more adventures soon. A holiday my young family will cherish

Lovely place to stay with fantastic views all around.

Cottage was immaculate with everything you need. Kids loved the interaction with the animals especially Jinny and Nigel the sheep. Owners a very friendly and helpful. We had a lovely time and wished we could have stayed longer. Will definitely be back!

This cottage is warm, cosy and comfortable.

We had a great week running some excellent trails straight from the front door as well as Snowdon and others further afield. We will definitely be returning!

This is a lovely cottage in a nice area.

The owners are great, although we didn't chat to them personally, but very attentive and around if needed. If you have dogs, it's great as loads of walks. The location is great as virtually all attractions i cluding beaches are no more than 30 mins drive away.

Had a great holiday in Marchlyn thanks to Sharon and Murray for exceptional hospitality and letting us see all the horses.

Great remote, quiet location - ideal for relaxation but close enough to loads of attractions and amenities. Shop and ATM in the village and a very local Welsh pub that we thoroughly enjoyed visiting on night (drinks only). Great local characters. Beautiful scenery all around and a very clean and well presented accommodation. Excellent

Beautiful home and location. We had great time.

The moment we walked in the door we could see the cottage was immaculate.

It was beautifully decorated, clean and tidy. The kitchen has everything you would need. A lovely added touch with a pint of milk and bottle of wine. The beds were so comfortable, we all slept so well. It was home from home. The scenery from the cottage was breath taking, so beautiful and quite. We throughly enjoyed our stay and we were all sad to leave. I would definitely love to return. Highly recommend, this is a 5* accommodation without a doubt.

A beautiful, clean house with everything we needed for our family holiday.

A lovely quiet location, perfect for exploring the mountains and a walk to Llanberis from the doorstep. Thank you for the milk and wine on arrival! The only negative point was that I wouldn't really describe it as having a private enclosed patio as the patio area is across the gravel drive and has gaps in the fence to the field with sheep in it. This wasn't an issue for us as our dog was not bothered about going outside as we exercised him so much! But for those who would like to just open the door to let the dog out it might be a problem.

A lovely, well-kept cottage in a beautiful location.

The welcome was amazing, milk in the fridge, coffee in the jar, and Welsh Cakes to remind us here we were. Genuine interest without any sense of intrusion in where we were off to each day on our motorbikes made the welcome complete.

The ponies and foals were amazing to see everyday, the kids loved them . Very friendly and helpful hosts on site.A great location for getting about for day trips, plenty to do in the area. We would definitely stay here again, we were sad to leave after a fantastic week’s holiday.

Sharon came to our rescue after our first property was not up to standard, accommodating us at last minute.

A fantastic well presented and comfy cottage.

Loads of room. A few finer touches could be improved I.e. the baby gate was loose, loose curtain holder and the toilet brush snapped, but other then tiny things it was amazing. Amazing location and quiet with helpful and friendly owners. Even had cava and milk on arrival. Would definitely stay again.

We had a lovely holiday thanks but would point out that the mattresses on the twin beds were slightly inferior and I personally was very disappointed with the towels, they were thin, hard, well worn and the one I used had a big bleach stain.

I would rather be asked to bring my own. Our tv broke during our visit and it was very quickly sorted out so thanks to the hosts for that.

Sharon was the nicest possible host and very helpful with all our enquiries about the local area.

her Horses were beautiful to wake up to every morning and so friendly and the cottage was really modern, comfy and clean with a great, fully equipped kitchen and comfy TV area. i'd highly recommend this property :)

Sharon & Murray were the best hosts we could of asked for.

On arrival day we were welcomed with a lovely bottle of wine and milk for tea which was amazing after a long drive from London. The cottage was spotless and has everything you need as a home from home. The surrounding area of the cottage is breathtaking and we spent a lot of time looking at and chatting with the ponies. Our children were safe and happy playing outside and made friends with Sharon’s dogs as well as the children next door. Overall we had the best family holiday and we couldn’t of asked for more. We can’t wait to revisit!

Despite us not actually being there all that much.

The Cottage was a lovely, warm and very cosy place to stay. From Books and Board Games to TV and Walks up the country lanes. It had a nice modern upkeep to the look of both the interior and exterior visuals with quite a comfortable space to move around it and even for the dogs to lay down where they pleased. And the view from the cottage is a sight to behold looking up towards Anglesey from the mountain. Everything seemed to be in reaching distance of this place and with no real lengthy travel times either making it a great central location to branch out and do activities in the nearby areas. Overall we are very happy with how this place was presented, its facilities and information's you can use to see what's around. Would very much recommend to family and friends and even to anyone who is interested in staying here!

Perfect for exploring Eryri (Snowdonia) Bangor, Ynys Mon (Anglesey) The host was amazing. On hand if we needed anything and very friendly. Can't recommend highly enough. Diolch yn fawr!

We have really enjoyed spending a week in Marchlyn.

The location of this property is excellent for access to all the main sights in this corner of North Wales and there is plenty to see and do. The house is located outside the village so a car is definitely recommended, but there are walks and lovely views directly on the doorstep. The secure bike store was useful if you are bringing bikes. The house was immaculately clean, well equipped, very warm and cosy - perfect for a family of 4 + dog for a winter break. We appreciated the wine, milk and fresh flowers on our arrival. Wonderful rain shower was a bonus!

Warm and cosy with plenty to see and do in the surrounding area. Hosts checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Will make sure we return.

It had everything we needed as a family for a great week away.

The host was lovely and friendly and the property was nice and clean when we arrived.

It was very cosy and just a nice amount of furniture needed, so was easy to keep the property clean. Would definitely go back and stay again.

The property was lovely and so was our host, Sharon.

Everything was straightforward- property was easy to find, the house was spacious with plenty of room for everyone and very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. It was lovely being able to interact with the horses in the fields next door and give them an apple or two (with owner's permission). The wine and flowers were a lovely touch. My only two niggles were the double bed and the bathroom floor. The mattress on the double bed wasn't comfortable and I had to remove the foam that was placed in between the mattress and the mattress protector. The foam was put back on the bed before we left. The bathroom floor was especially noisy - even tiptoeing in the middle of the night didn't make a difference to the floorboards squeaking with every step.

Cottage was in a lovely position, countryside was ever changing with the weather.

Lots to see and do within a short drive. The cottage was cosy and had all you needed. Sharon and Murray were lovely hosts and very helpful.

The cottage was immaculately kept, and we felt extremely safe with the COVID measures which have been put in place.

The only issue we had was with the internet connectivity. While free guest wifi was provided, the smart TV in the living room had no internet connectivity (despite being connected to the wifi) so we need to tether the TV to my mobile phone to gain internet access. The wifi worked fine for the TV in the bedroom. This didn't detract from the overall stay, and I would be more than happy to stay here again in future.

Well presented cottage in a lovely area.

Lovely and clean great facilities. Great location for zip world day trips. Plenty of walks around for the dog. The owners were really friendly and chatty and welcomed us into their farm. We would definitely rebook this cottage if we were in the area again. Thank you for a lovely stay x

Holiday was great , cottage was excellent, the owners were nice, however Sykes never answer their phone waiting time is over an hour that’s not acceptable.

The cottage was cosy, spotlessly clean and well equipped, with a bottle of Prosecco and chocolates waiting for us on arrival.

Excellent location to walk from both the cottage and further afield.

Plenty of adventures to fill more than a week. I expect that we will be back to finish the things we did not get time to do.

We loved being situated around the base of mountain Elidir Fawr and had a fantastic day walking up and down the old slate mining route into Llanberis approx 8.

5miles. Sharon & Murray were superb hosts, non intrusive and very welcoming. We are already planning our return next spring. Thank you

The welcome was warm, Sharon and Murray are genuinely lovely people, we felt at home immediately. The cottage is beautiful and so tastefully done. We would highly recommend it and hopefully will return ourselves.

Excellent location, nice and rural but not too remote.

Lots to see and do in the area without having to drive too far. Would certainly return and a real gem to find - highly recommended.
