A wonderful cottage for our week long stay.

A lovely welcome from our host Russ and lovely touches such as home-made bara brith and local cider. Beautiful grounds-very well maintained. The charming cottage had everything we needed and was very clean. The enclosed garden was great especially as we had our dog with us. We will stay again one day! The location was well placed for day trips to lots of nearby attractions.

A lovely couples cottage in extremely beautiful grounds which are well cared for.

There is everything you will need in the cottage; having said that an outside umbrella would have been useful as we arrived just as the third heatwave hit. We found the 2 seater settee uncomfortable to sit on and brought in the two green garden chairs which were more comfortable, especially of an evening. It felt as though every one of the upstairs floorboards creaked and moaned when they were walked on. All that being said we really enjoyed our stay at The Little Coach House.

Perfect little cottage set in the most beautiful and immaculate private grounds.

Perfect for dogs - 3 there during our stay and each cottage had its own secure garden so no need to worry about unfriendly interactions. Was extremely hot month when we were there so didn’t see quite as much of the area as we had hoped. Good excuse to return! Owner very friendly and informative.

Beautiful setting and accommodation.

The owners should be credited for the work they put in to the grounds and the standard of accommodation. Would recommend to all.

This was our first visit to The Little Coach House.

Everything about it is 5 Star. This includes the accommodation and the beautiful gardens and lake. The cottage was spotlessly clean and provided everything you could think of to make the holiday one to remember. The owners, Russ and Karen, made us very welcome and the complimentary cider and Bara Brith were lovely. Have already booked for 2027 and can’t wait to return.

We were looking for somewhere peaceful for myself, my partner and our little pooch who can be reactive to other dogs.

My partner and I are both experiencing some health issues and wanted somewhere we could switch off a bit. The Little coach house suited this perfectly. It's immaculate inside and out with everything you could need. The gardens and lake are a heaven for relaxing, you could stay the week without leaving the grounds. It's rare that we return to the same place twice, bit will definitely be back. Karen and Russ are around if you need anything but give total privacy too. The side gate had a slight gap which our dog, Jack a whip could get under, within 2 mins Russ popped a block there Just what we needed for real recuperating.

What a great little hideaway this is.

The Coach House is quite a unique little place, off the beaten track but within easy access of the main road and within easy striking distance of everything that this part of Wales has to offer. Dog friendly but as there are sheep and geese on site it is rightfully requested that dogs are kept on a lead outside of the cottage courtyard - which is plenty big enough and secure for most pooches to go out and have a sniff around by themselves without getting into any trouble. Inside of the cottage is lovely, spotlessly clean and comfy. The lake area is lovely, if visiting in the warmer summer months it would be ideal to sit there with a picnic and just savour the peace and quiet. The only "nit pick" is that the couch isn't that comfy and it's a tad small, we're only of small build but larger people could possibly find it a bit of a challenge. The bedroom and bed are extremely comfortable and again spotlessly clean as are both upstairs and downstairs toilets / bathroom. We fully intend returning to The Coach House, maybe later in the year - autumn possibly. We've never returned to a holiday property but we would come back here without question. The owner is a lovely guy and is on hand if you have any questions or problems etc.

This is a lovely cottage that was ideal for the two of us and our medium sized dog.

It is well equipped, spotlessly clean and has everything you need for your stay. The hosts made us very welcome, including local cider and home-made Bara Brith on arrival at the cottage, and also provided plenty of local tourist information and personal recommendations. Tyddyn Mawr is really well situated, with beautiful countryside all around and its own wooded land and lake – a bonus of open natural space for guests to enjoy. It’s very convenient for the coast and everything that the Llyn Peninsula has to offer. We thought The Little Coach House very fairly priced, well located and exceptionally clean. We will look forward to our next visit and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

This was our second stay at this beautiful cottage.

The owners were wonderful and helpful and despite the weather we had a lovely week in this stunning part of the world. Thank you Russ and Karen for your hospitality and we can't wait to come back again!

The Little Coach House was amazing.

My husband myself and our dog spent 3 nights at the Little Coach House, we found it to be very comfortable, cosy and spotlessly clean. Loved the courtyard completely enclosed so very dog friendly. We met the owner Russ who was very friendly and helpful,all in all we had a fantastic stay wouldn't hesitate to return.

The property was extremely well presented in beautiful surroundings, clearly well loved and looked after.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and recommend it.

6 previous. Standard never drops. Always a welcome from owner. Nothing too much trouble. We have also stayed with friends 3 times in The Garden Cottage and once inthe Honey Pot. All the cottages are of the same standard. Highly recommend.

It was an extremely good week with this excellent accommodation.

The cottage was beautifully furnished, modern but also with a warm cottage feel to it. The owner was really friendly and willing to help us in any way. Wonderful Barabrith provided on arrival along with a bottle of cider. We hope to return one day. Thank you

A beautiful property with lovely grounds in a perfect location for exploring North Wales.

A personal welcome from the owners was a nice touch alongside the delicious Bara Brith and Welsh cider! We would definitely choose to stay here again if we were holidaying in the area and would highly recommend it to our family and friends.

The lodge was so clean and the surrounding area was so beautiful.

The little coach was wonderful and located within beautiful grounds.

The entire place is extremely well maintained and has everything you need. I would recommend for anybody looking for a relaxing stay in high quality accommodation. The owners are very friendly and happy to provide local knowledge. Will definitely look to return in the future.

Perfect accommodation in a perfect setting.

It was almost as good as last year, this time we had trouble with the microwave; that's all.

The new bathroom fittings are a definite improvement, and the grounds were as perfect as last year. Russell and Karen were wonderful, they really helped me when I was quite ill.

A lovely cottage fully equipped and finished to very high standards, also set in beautiful grounds and gardens including a very picturesque boating lake.

We were made to feel very welcome by the owners. The bottle of local cider and cake were a nice touch (thank you). The location is excellent, with easy access to the mountains and the sea, plenty of great routes if you like walking. We recommend the short walk along the beach to Tý Coch Inn, at Morfa Nefyn, and continue around the headland to the lifeboat station. WiFi is good along with Freesat TV for those wet days.

omg what can i say ,it was perfect .

the owners had thought of everything , their wasnt anything in the cotage they didnt have that we wanted, even had iron and ironing board also hairdryer ,plenty of storage space for clothes. the grounds were amazing, myself and steve even had a go on the boat around the lake , also lay in the sunshine on the sun loungers .lovely summer house . very enjoyable wk owners were lovely , owners should be proud of their little coach house was a delight full week , will recomend , love from sandra and steve

The listing on your website states that the property is a bungalow but in fact it is a cottage with a gate leg staircase and three steps to negotiate from the car parking space and also the patio, all of which make it unsuitable for anyone with limited mobility.

The owner did say that he has asked for the listing to be amended. However the cottage is well equipped and was extremely clean and very welcoming. The garden and lake is a real bonus and has a variety of seating for visitors. The bara brith and wine was much appreciated.

We will book this cottage for next year without a doubt if possible

I have been fortunate enough to visit several times now , in different seasons , and it is always a pleasure. Karen and Russ are wonderful hosts , ( thank you for the bara brith and the bottle of wine ! ) The Little Coach House is always spotlessly clean and very comfortable , the location is beautiful , and the weather was fantastic this time too ! It’s a wonderful place to stay. I’d just like to point out that the listing on the Menai Cottages site may be slightly misleading, as it states that the Little Coach House is a bungalow , with level access . This could be a problem for any potential visitors with mobility difficulties , if they had thought from the description on the website that it was completely accessible for them , with level access and no stairs to negotiate. It is actually a little house , on two floors , with a staircase leading to the second floor bedroom and bathroom . There are also some shallow steps leading down from the private parking place for The Little Coach House. Additionally , as the private courtyard garden is on two levels , there are also some steps between the different levels. Maybe some indication of this on the website would be helpful for those who are thinking of booking a stay , but have limited mobility ?

A lovely little cottage in lovely setting.

Ceilings are low in parts of the upstairs so you need to watch your head as my husband found out.Very welcoming host.

We had a really enjoyable stay.

The property had all that was needed, the surroundings were beautiful. The location was perfect. Russ and Karen were hospitable and helpful. There were plenty of places to sit out and enjoy if you didn't feel like going out, or if you wanted to relax after a busy day. Although the dog needed to be on the lead when on the grounds due to livestock, this was not an inconvenience and there were plenty of places to take her for a morning or late evening stroll. Although the property is attached to another, there was very little if no noise from our neighbours apart from the occasional bark of a dog. We can't recommend this place highly enough.

We very much enjoyed our stay in this peaceful and beautiful setting, the grounds were gorgeous with its pretty lake.It was a great base to enjoy visiting a lot of North Wales and we enjoyed some pretty good weather for February. The Bara brith and wine were a lovely touch on arrival. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Lovely cottage with grounds and lake, friendly owners.

The Little Coach House is such a special place to stay , and I have visited it many times .

It is set in the most glorious grounds , and is an ideal base if you want to explore the surrounding beautiful Snowdonia countryside, as well as the coast. Porth Madoc, Portmeirion, Criccieth and Caernarfon are just a short drive away , and Porth Madoc has the Heritage Welsh Highland Railway if you are a train buff ! Karen and Russ couldn’t be more helpful, and the cottage is fully equipped with everything you could need , and spotlessly clean. I had a wonderful week , thank you both so much !

Beautiful cottage in a delightful setting.

Definitely one of the best properties we have stayed in. Tastefully decorated both inside and out. With the added bonus of 14 acres of private grounds with boating lake. Our dog enjoyed a swim! A lovely summer house available for chilly days. Plenty of garden furniture and a BBQ. The owners had thought of everything and a bottle of Pinot Grigio and a Bara Brith awaited us on arrival!

The cottage ( the little coach house) was absolutely lovely and very clean, with everything we needed, the grounds were beautiful and very well looked after by Russ the owner, he even baked a cake for our arrival which was delicious , we will be coming again Glynis and Peter Adams

Wonderful stay at The Little Coach House.

So comfortable, immaculately clean and a Perfect location for visiting local attractions and beaches. Already missing my walks with Rosy (dog) around the house where the bluebells and rhododendrons were in full bloom and the lambs were skipping and jumping in the surrounding fields. At this time of year, the camellias are in full bloom up by the house , and primroses , arums and violets can be seen down by the lake . Canada geese had also decided to visit , and were enjoying the facilities of the lake

Lovely cottage and grounds with lake.

Very clean and comfortable. We average three self catering holidays a year in the UK, and we rate the Little Coach House as one of the best we have stayed in. The location is exceptional.

We received a very warm welcome from the owners despite the fact we had to change our travel plans.

The property is very well equipped and benefits from a private, quite large, beautiful patio area with table and seating, very useful as we had a dog with us. The coach house is cosy downstairs and has a spacious bedroom/ dressing area with TV. There are lovely landscaped garden views from every window. The gardens have various seating areas you can use and a summer house which contained DVDs and board games to borrow. There is a pleasant walk to a private lake which also has seating areas and sun lounges; there are boats you can use but we didn't! It is a pity that due to live stock our dog had to be on a lead but we quite understood. Located within 15 minutes drive of a very dog friendly beach and close to many Welsh beauty spots we are happy to recommend this lovely holiday property and would return.

The owners really take pride in their cottages..Tyddyn Mawr is centrally placed - only a few miles from Portmadog and Cricieth and many more places of interest. I can highly recommend to anyone seeking a comfotable, relaxing holiday.

We spent a very enjoyable week at this delightful property.

Set in a beautiful location it was always a joy to return to the Little Coach House after days out exploring this area of North Wales. Karen was very helpful and was available to provide any assistance if required. The gardens and lakeside were a superb place for relaxing walks and it was nice to see the local wildlife from our windows. The cottage location is excellent for visits in all directions and nearby Porthmadog has all the shops you will need. We would have no hesitation in returning to this lovely property.

A wonderful week at the Little Coach House!

This cottage had everything we needed for a relaxing week, easy to self cater, and is on the doorstep of many excellent locations and walks in Snowdonia. Karen was extremely welcoming and very helpful with local recommendations. We felt extremely covid secure as the cottage was extra clean and easy to keep social distancing in the large grounds of the property. In particular, we loved the well equipped kitchen, including the nespresso machine, and comfortable bed. Great locations of Criccieth and Beddgelert nearby, as well as easy access via A roads to Snowdon and its surrounding walks. We will definitely be back for another gorgeous stay at Tyddyn Mawr!

I had a wonderful stay, and cannot recommend this cottage more highly . Hope to return again !

Spent the new year in this lovely cottage and recommended it as a very relaxing place with everything you need available.

Met on arrival by Karen who explained everything we needed to know and we then settled down to our enjoyable week. The boating lake is a lovely place to walk round with our dog in the morning and later on it was only a short drive to Black Rock Sands which is also a lovely walk.

This is our third visit in 18 months and it’s impressive how the high standards have been maintained. We’ll be back!

It was my second stay here , I was able to stay for a few days in the spring, and returned in June , for a week this time, with amazing weather ! The cottage is beautiful, and is in the most glorious setting. It is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, and Joyce and Karen are the perfect hosts .
