Beautiful views from this property , great parking outside too & a great location for exploring the local area.

Good size rooms. I just felt this property lacks from a few homely touches & a few things could be changed ,felt that the amenities let it down, like lack of glasses, mugs in the property, not enough for 7/8 people. Most kitchen cupboards were empty. No welcome book, no welcome basket, never had that before , no instructions for bins, recycling. No toilet rolls or hand soaps. Had to purchase our own. Sofa in the front room was broken & the table, the wine fridge didn’t work & the kick board falls on your feet when you open the dishwasher. Overall we had a lovely stay, just feel with a few little changes Sannans Lodge could be amazing.

The cleaning team need training.

On arrival there was an awful smell which greeted us on opening the front door. The kitchen floor had been mopped with a dirty/sour mop which had been left in the utility room. Before I did anything, I had to go to the local shop to buy cleaning products to clean everything before we could unpack. The kick board falls on you foot when opening the dishwasher. The sofa in the living room is broken, you might as well just sit on the floor! The black coffee table has a broken leg and was simply balanced in place. The ensuite and main bathroom ceilings are flaking paint. The toilet brushes were in a disgusting state. There is an iron mark on the floor in one of the bedrooms. All the chains on every blind are broken. The glass on the balcony area is green and looks so unwelcoming. There are numerous stains on the walls, one of which looks like blood! The single duvets need replaced, on stripping the beds on departure they were all frayed. My daughter injured her foot whilst there and we opened both first aid kits to find nothing but a guaze bandage that had an expiry date of 2023!! I have photographs to back this up and would like a response from yourselves or the owner as we are very unhappy about the cost of the holiday with all of these issues. We had booked this a year in advance and can honestly say it spoilt our holiday. I actually work in the industry and cannot believe that no one checks after the cleaners or indeed do checks of the property regularly. I await your response. Thanks Lisa Hedley-Eke

Beautiful bungalow in an idea location for exploring.

Lots of space and we had a lovely week. Pubs, shops and restaurants close by too. My only issue was it wasn't as clean as I would have liked, and is need of a little TLC. Upon arrival there was old fishing tackle and a starbucks cup rolling around on the driveway. The glass balcony was covered in green moss and there were dirty blue cloths near the seating area, along with a very dirty BBQ. The dressing table in the main bedroom was covered in make up and when placing clothes on the top shelf of the second double bedroom, they came out covered in dust. The chandeliers throughout the property were dusty. When closing the dishwasher door the kickboard falls off and the microwave has an intermittent fault where it makes a loud noise. I had seen these things mentioned on previous reviews. The cleaning company had left a card to say cleaned to the highest standard and that we could call them within 24 hours. I chose not to do this and cleaned the main areas myself so that we could get on with our holiday. The tv is a smart tv but not connected to the internet. We did have a lovely week, the lodge is in an ideal location and just needs some attention to detail, especially where cleaning is concerned.

The property was very spacious and had wonderful views over the bay.

I do feel the kitchen and bathrooms were not very clean ie kitchen table when wiped was very dirty, plates put in cupboard dirty, kickboard under sink when opened dishwasher fell on sons toes. Both showers were dirty, larger 1 had a slip mat with black mould all around. Deep clean required

We spent a fabulous family Christmas at Sannans Lodge, the facilities were perfect for our needs.

Special thanks to the landlord. I telephoned him on Christmas Eve at 2pm just to let him know the dishwasher had stopped working, fully expecting to be on washing up duties on Christmas Day, at 4pm he arrived and fitted a new dishwasher. A Christmas miracle in my opinion! Would definitely stay there again.

Lovely spacious property perfect for large families or groups of friends.

A real home from home feeling. Property was immaculately clean and in a great location. Brilliant value for money. We had a fabulous time, the photos on the website don’t do the property justice. This property has so much potential and could be amazing with a few updates. The lounge is lovely and the views stunning, log fire really nice in winter. Living room needs a little more personality to add some warmth to the large space. Few areas of improvement required: Sofas arm needs fixing Microwave needs fixing/replacing Wine fridge/fixing replacing Toilet short flush in en-suite needs fixing Mold in bathroom and in en-suite shower Duvets and pillows need replacing . The duvets are practically falling apart and pillows v thin Would benefit from a coat stand Would benefit from some Prosecco glasses Would benefit from a welcome book

This spacious bungalow is in a superb location with great views.

This was our second stay at Sannans Lodge and we will definitely book here again in the future.

What a lovely place to stay very clean bungalow situated on a hill looking over Llandudno with gorgeous sunsets and sea views.

Everything was lovely from the minute we stepped inside and the roaring open fire every evening was fantastic the grandchildren loved it, and also the space for the children was a bonus. Thankyou Mr & Mrs Graham

Great location for Llundudno, Colwyn Bay, Caernafon castle, portmerion, and Snowdonia.

Accommodation was excellent. Walking distance to to very good pubs. One a restaurant pub and Cross keys which is just a pub with an excellent host. The living room furniture needs repairs. Sagging and dipping in the middle. The smart TV need a internet connection as it wouldn't connect to the WiFi. Though these things didn't detract from the overall experience. Also needs a pin drop for the entrance as maps take you to the road through the village and not to the actual entrance on Bryn Y Bia rd and not Pendre rd . Or just three words.

The owner responded quickly to some issues that we had.

The house was very spacious and in an ideal location.

Sannans Lodge is a lovely place, this was our third visit.

However, when we arrived this time, a number of issues became apparent and Sykes never responded to any of our messages. Zero customer service. The property was not cleaned as well as it had previously been. Some of the beds smelt fusty and almost damp. We had to wash the bedsheets to feel comfortable. The patio door key was missing. The microwave would make a horrific noise if used for more than 30 seconds. The outside bins were overflowing. Despite all this, we had a nice enough holiday. The property is lovely, Sykes just need to do a better job of maintaining it and responded to their customers.

Fantastic stay , great views .

Could not of asked for better location/ holiday home . 10 minute drive from everything you need to explore . There is a few steps but you don't get the tree top feel and Fantastic views if not . We will 100% be booking again found the perfect stay for future visits . Thank you

Finding the property was a bit confusing as the entrance to the drive for the car was not in the same road as pedestrian access which was where the instructions directed us.

We would have liked a little more information on how to work the various appliances and where the nearest local shops were etc We figured it out of course but a "welcome pack " left in an obvious place like the counter top in the kitchen would have been useful. That said, everything else was excellent and well stocked with everything we needed. I would heartily recommend this place and indeed I will be booking again with some more friends later in the year as North Wales is a fantastic place to visit and Sannans Lodge is a perfectly situated base from which to to explore the area .

Absolutely fab stay here with my family!

View of the sea was beautiful. Easy drive to places cause of the easy links from the property. Would deffo recommend anyone who have a few more people staying with you. Although the parking on the side wasn’t mentioned, I found it with easy and was glad as we had the 2 cars. Easy to find, don’t know how many people get it confused haha. Thank you.

Very nice looking property from the photos but we were disappointed that quite a lot of negative comments going back months have not been acted on.

Directions are very poor, nowhere does it say that the entrance to the drive is in Bryn y Bria Road! Still no battery in the kitchen clock, only 5 wine glasses, no prosecco glasses, no table mats, no visitors book, no welcome pack, pillows very flat, uncomfortable mattresses, no starter pack for the log burner, house was very cold on arrival as heating was off, very clinical look to the house. What is the point of writing reviews if nobody takes any notice of them. This house would be better in the warmer weather as there are plenty of sitting areas outside but in the winter would benefit from the heating being on for arrivals and kindling, firelighters and matches being provided for the log burner. Agree with other reviewers, great view and location and plenty of space but could be so much better

A nice property somewhat let down by the finishing touches, cleanliness and road noise.

The heating wasn’t working and the property was cold on arrival but the host sorted this after about 90 minutes. Plates and cutlery had to be put through the dish washer before we could use them, so we had to wait in the cold for our first cup of tea. Bathrooms and bedrooms were fine, although the bed linen looked clean but dated. The lounge furniture and rug had seen better days. Previous reviews don’t mention road noise, but this would be a big deal breaker for me in the warmer weather when you want to spend time outside. Some holiday accommodation is fab, some is ok, this was ok.

Visited in July after reading great reviews.

Found the property to be in a great location with lovely views to Colwyn Bay. However, we found this holiday bungalow very disappointing. Although very spacious, it totally lacked that homely feeling. We found a pubic hair in one of the showers, and both showers had black mould in the base. No hair dryer wad supplied, we had to buy one from Argos. Kitchen crockery was lacking and some of the cooking pans were in a terrible state. Bedding was old and worn out. Lou ge settees were well past it, very uncomfortable. Would we stay again. Definitely not. It all needs a total makeover.

Beutiful house with amazing views and really nicely decorated with quality bathrooms and kitchen.

Some of the finer details are lacking; only 6 wine glasses (sleeps 8) and no glasses for champagne / prosecco. There's no body wash in the showers and no washing up liquid (we had brought our own). We reported the dishwasher as OOO when we arrived, with a lot of standing water in it (maybe blocked so didn't want to risk flooding the propety), and the contact said they'd call round. No-one came or, if they did, they didn't let us know. We washed up manually so no drama but felt a bit neglected. There's no Welcome pack or letter and no previous visitors book (useful for recommendations on local restaurants and walks etc). These are not even niggles and didn't effect our enjoyment... just feel it would be nice to have a warmer welcome.

Although this property has the wow factor when you walk through the door, it definitely lacks the personal touch.

No welcome pack for the guests Is unusual and not something we have ever come across before. Also no information about the property or comments book, all caring touches. The clock in the kitchen still needs a replacement battery and the sliding doors in the twin room are jammed. In our opinion Sannans lodge could be so much more!

Spacious and comfortable.

Feels clinical needs the edges softened perhaps curtains. Outside area needs attention looking a bit tired and grubby. Bed linen needs updating. Extra pillows provided but no pillow cases. However not bad value for money and the views were great.

We had a great stay in a lovely property.

We have been going away as a family for a number of years and this has been the nicest property to date. The Grandchildren told me that they had the best week ever and we're sad to leave.

This was the second time we have stayed at Sannans Lodge and it didn’t disappoint.

We absolutely love this place. It is homely but spacious, so there is room for family time and rest time as needed. The driveway has now been tarmacked which made it much easier. The view is outstanding. Sannans Lodge is perfectly placed to be able to reach all our favourite places in this area. We are hoping to return next year! Very special place. Full of peace. Fabulous views from this lovely holiday property.

Extremely spacious and great for a family break. Well situated for travel to all North Wales locations. Lovely village pub with excellent meal choices and very welcoming. Only issue were the directions to find and access the large driveway to the property. We drove around the village and it's very narrow streets before spotting the house high above by walking the street. Directions would been clearer if the entrance to the driveway had been shared in the instructions. Other than that we had a great experience.

Could do with full length mirror and couple of seats on balcony plus garden still needs maintenance but overall we had a lovely time in your property and would return

Brilliant holiday home - warm, spacious, clean, comfortable, well equipped and with a great view.

We absolutely loved our stay at Sannans Lodge, so much so that we have already booked to go back next summer.

The property is so spacious and well equipped with everything we needed. I did have to replace the batteries in the TV remote as it wasn’t working. The driveway approaching the property was a slight challenge as it is so steep and full of potholes, but I accepted the challenge and made it up every time! The view is wonderful and all the positives far out way the niggles. We look forward to returning.

The property is amazing with fabulous views over the bay.

It is very well- equipped and is great for exploring the North Wales area. The only negative we have is the track leading up to the property is very bumpy and rugged and isn’t really suitable for low cars. If this could be made smoother, the property would be perfect! We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and will definitely recommend.

Good location and nice sized cottage with fantastic views.

Could have been so much more welcoming though. All small things but cumulatively spoiled the arrival experience and the stay. No welcome pack information at all,no guest book wifi information local amenities and attractions etc. No starter pack for the fire, no milk or anything else left to greet you on arrival. One toilet roll per bathroom with no spares. One clock in the house with a dead battery. Light bulb missing in hallway etc. As others have stated the driveway is very steep, however we came via public transport so accessed up the front steps which are super steep and due to the overgrown nature of the garden the steps had brambles growing across them making access more tricky. This listing could be so much better however it just seems to lack a personal touch. Such a pity as the location was great. It wouldn't take much effort to make this cottage much more welcoming and so get your stay off to a happy start rather than a disappointed start.

Sannans Lodge was fantastic.

Loved all the space and how well equipped it was. The views are amazing and loved how close it was to the pubs along the road. The only issue was the track you have to drive up to the lodge - it is quite rocky and I can imagine some cars could struggle over the rocks and gravely incline. This wouldn't stop me staying here again however as the lodge really is worth it.

Lovely property with lots of space and view.

However it could do with leaving more toiletries like toilet rolls and washing up liquid as we had to buy our own toilet rolls since there was 8 of us over 4 nights and there was only one toilet roll in each bathroom! Whilst its ok to empty all rubbish before we leave the property I thought it's abit odd we had to strip all beddings ourselves before we vacate the property, surely this should be the role of property owner and not customers?? It kind of ruin our stay experience abit. Most self catering accommodation do not require their clients to do strip off their beddings. It made a rather unpleasant experience to our stay at the end in my opinion otherwise it would have been an excellent top marks stay. Small advice, it might be nice if property owner use plain white beddings rather than patterned ones as it looked old and dated. The ensuite shower room could do with treating the mould around the ceiling and walls as we had to ensure the doors of the shower room closed before we sleep for fear of breathing in mould spores. On the whole the house was pleasant to stay minus the minor issues.

The bed was not comfortable, there was not enough hand wash and toilet paper in the washroom.

Fantastic lodge in an amazing setting!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this gorgeous Lodge. Lovely & modern , all rooms spacious & very comfortable. The views are stunning and we particularly loved sitting up on the hill on the seating area within the property grounds. Very peaceful and relaxing place to stay. Excellent location and easy access to places such as Little Llandudno, Angel Bay, Llandudno & Conway Castle. We would highly recommend to anyone to stay at this lodge. There is local shops nearby just done a hill. * Initially its a bit tricky to find but if you look out for a big sign with big white letters "Llandudno Welcomes you Croeso" * don't turn into first sharp left Make sure you drive a little past that first sharp left & you'll see a gravel track you turn left into and drive up the hill and it leads you onto the property car park. We would definitely stay at this beautiful lodge again. Fantastic place. Thankyou.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this amazing cottage for a weekend getaway, and I must say that the experience was simply unforgettable.

From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the pristine cleanliness and overall well-managed atmosphere of the cottage. Very salacious and beautiful scenery.

A lovely property with fantastic views over looking Colwyn Bay.

Ideally situated for Llandudno and Colwyn Bay. Well equipped with spacious and comfortable rooms. It’s difficult to find. Don’t access the property via instructions given on sat nav. Look for a gravel path around the back that leads to the property. Overall fantastic. Loved it and can’t wait to return

A wonderful place to visit.

After using Google Earth to double check access, as mentioned in other reviews, the house is easy to get to. The access slightly bumpy and steep but nothing to worry about. The house itself has been well thought out and is warm and welcoming, which was great for the older members of our group. The wood burner was great in the colder evenings, the beds were comfortable and the kitchen is very well equipped. The only downside was the lack of cloakroom outside of using the main bathroom. Even though the advertising shows the view from the front of the property, everything looks good in photos right? Wow! It looks as good, with a view from the living room and kitchen who needs tv?? Can’t wait to return

We had a great stay at Sannans Lodge in March 2023.

It is a modern and very well appointed holiday cottage in a great location for Llandudno and other nearby beaches. It's not too far from the North Wales Expressway meaning that a large area of North Wales is accessible by a relatively short drive.

Property was immaculate, lovely and clean and having no neighbours to worry about was great.

Would highly recommend and definitely stay again. The only thing I would say (and this isn’t a complaint) is that you could do with a little sign on the gate at the bottom of the hill and more specific directions on how to find it, but apart from that - our stay was excellent ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We stayed at Sannans Lodge as a family of 6 adults & 2 children (10yrs) during the October half term.

The property was in a great location and within walking distance of Llandudno (albeit a little hilly on the way back) with sea views from the front. Who needs a big TV when you can see the sea. A walk over to Angel Bay to see the seals is a must. Like in other reviews we found it difficult to find so a tip for future guests - turn at the big 'welcome to Llandudno' sign at the top of Penrhyn Hill and turn left onto a dirt track just after

We absolutely loved this property, like in other reviews it’s not easy to find because no sign at bottom of drive , the drive itself is steep and bumpy but you get used to it , the lodge is fabulous and spacious and would recommend to anyone , bigger telly is needed because room is so big but that’s it , would definitely go back if I was going to wales again , just fabulous

We had a truly fabulous week in this amazing lodge which I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

We alternated our family members staying so we all enjoyed some time there. A great base and the lodge itself lacks nothing, except maybe coat hooks, Martin, the owner was very obliging, he contacted me over a couple of things including letting us know we had left some clothing which he's going to send on. The views are breathtaking and we were lucky enough to enjoy lovely weather, all in all a great week.

I would agree driveway is hard to get up and finding house first day was fun but all good after that.

We knew the property had a driveway but finding it was a challenge, if it was not for workmen who were repairing the floor due to previous guests we would never of found it as no signage had been put at its entrance, the very steep track was a challenge as its a bit rutty until you get to the property which has tarmac parking area.

First impression was a wow view and a lovely entrance, the whole property has been refurbished to a good standard, the kitchen could do with a few more useful utensils and new baking sheets had to be returned to the owner as they did not fit in the oven in all ways. The main bathroom was impressive clean and fresh. The bedrooms spacious but lacking in some items, mirrors essential for hair and makeup, hangers for wardrobes and bins. The pillows only one per person and very thin, the mattresses on all beds were functional but lumpy. It is a shame a toilet off the utility could not have been included in the refurb as just having the main bathroom for up to six people can be challenging, it was for our party which was for only 3 as the main bedroom has an ensuite but in the mornings is occupied. The main lounge is large and has wonderful views of the valley to the sea. The seats are comfortable and you have space to configure to your preferance. The general maintenance outside is ok but lacking in the gardening area as an abundance of weeds detracts a little, it makes it look untidy from a superb property. The heating system is quick to warm the house when the temperature drops which is excellent when their are seniors in the party. The rubbish needs to be taken down very steep steps (the old entrance route) to a red bin you need to remember the key, alternatively driving on your way out maybe an idea. Overall the property is an excellent base to explore the area which we did daily. Maybe a better welcome book giving guests a few recommendations to visit and eat would be helpful, a shop owner helped us out with options which were excellent.

This is a lovely property in an ideal location.

Lots of space, nice and clean, good facilities, great views, and the spacious parking area is a real boon. We found it so easy to get to lots of local places of interest and amenities. A few minutes on Google Maps investigating the location and in particular the exact location of the gate leading to the drive up to the property and parking paid dividends and made it easy to find when we arrived. The drive is a little steep with a bumpy bit, if you have a smaller car, but just take it easy going up and down. We hope to be back here in the not too distant future.

Excellent all round, access could be a little difficult if not in a 4x4 as the steep drive is quite rutted.

However this leads onto a spacious parking and well surfaced parking area.

The house is beautiful and has loads of space.

My children loved running about and exploring. Kitchen and bathroom were lovely. Lots of wood was provided so we could enjoy a lovely fire at night time. I had read reviews about baking trays not fitting in the oven so took some of my own which were needed. The one thing that really must change is the drive. It has HUGE holes which could do a lot of damage to smaller cars. Also a sign really needs to be put up at the bottom of the drive. It took us 20 minutes to find the drive and struggled to get in as there was always cars parked very close to the entrance. A simple sign would have made it far easier. Very pleased we arrived during the day and not in the dark. The house is beautiful and the views are stunning. Nice wee park just down the steps and across the road for kids.

A beautiful home with amazing views across to the sea.

Very peaceful yet very near to the coast and amenities. Plenty of room for eight people. Lots of space for young children to play indoors. It would benefit from somewhere to hang coats..especially during a stormy week!! Needs clear instructions how to get to the parking area. Would stay here again.

Great place to stay, brilliant local pub down the road, few minutes walk, that did great pizzas.

Good location, spacious and accommodating. Little hard to find however owner was very helpful with directions.

Spacious kitchen/diner was ideal for our family at Christmas. We were all very satisfied with our stay.

Lodge was spacious and in a great location to get to llandudno, penrhyn old village or rhos on sea.

The balcony with sea views is a real plus, just lovely to sit outside. Car park to the lodge not easy to find - we had to ask the cleaners, this should be made clearer in the directions provided as sat nav takes you to the front of the property. Property lacks personality, its very functional with all the basics you need BUT if you are preparing a nice dinner, there are no nice plates, large bowls for salads, decent glasses etc. For the price there should be more as i stayed at a house in anglesey for less that had a fully stocked kitchen. In addition the lounge would benefit from lamps to make it more cosy. Other houses we have stayed in at the same price (£1000/3 days) had welcome packs - i noted in the guest book that these used to be provided, we felt this would have been a nice touch. All in all we would stay again due to location and size of property but dont expect any frills -this is clearly run as a business.

Recycling method could of been a little clearer from what we read on arriving.

Could do with updating. Double beds could do with new mattresses as we could feel the springs when lied down on them. Not comfortable.

There are potholes on the drive that need filling in especially as it is on a steep slope.

Stayed in a lot of Sykes properties, this is the nicest property we have stayed in.

Would definitely recommend it.

We were very pleased with the house overall but just a few points to consider.

The shower door handle in the en suite was broken. Most of the pots were badly chipped. None of which spoilt our holiday however when we reported to the cleaners on our departure they were already aware. I would have therefore expected these issues to have been dealt with either before or during our stay.

More instructions of how to get to the parking for the lodge is necessary, turning off the b5115 you need to go past the first left(pendre road) until you come to an open gate with a track, you need to turn left up there and this takes you to lodge level and parking.

The house exceeded our expectations,was modern,spacious and clean with special care taken rgds to Covid.Views from the balcony are stunning morning and evening,and surrounding countryside lovely.Plenty of activities for all locally. Only issue we had was finding the back carpark.Suggest a sign is placed at bar gate entrance as we presumed it was a field and went past. Fab.holiday,thankyou,hope to return.Jo

It is a lovely holiday let with wonderful views.

If there was anything we could comment on it would be that there are no curtains in the living room or bedrooms. Although there are blinds in the bedrooms, they let a lot of light in, not good for early mornings.

This is a spacious, peaceful , private property with glorious views over the bay and surrounding countryside.

It is clearly very recently renovated, and in wonderful condition. It would benefit from a few additions : - Coat hooks - A boot rack at back door for wet/ muddy footwear ( the front area is carpeted, and may spoil quickly) - Another large saucepan and more oven trays that fit the ovens ( there are only 2 that do). -Towel rails, to save drying towels on radiators These are suggestions, to make this already fabulous property truly excellent. The welcome gifts were kind, and much appreciated. We will certainly recommend this to friends and family.

Incredible location and house

On arrival the postcode takes you to the front of the property, which involves a steep climb to the top.

Luckily the owner dropped by to check we had settled, and pointed out the second route to the property which leads to the back where there was a large car park for us to park. The property itself was beautiful, very clean and had all the amenities needed for self catering. There is a log fire in the lounge area which added the extra homely feel. Location wise the property is spot on, with most places to visit being a ten minute or less drive away. If you don't have young kids you could even walk. There was a co-op close by which was useful to stock up on goods. All in all our stay here was fantastic, the owner offering to pop over to see if we had settled and needed anything added the personal touch.
