    “What a wonderful holiday!”

The scenery is amazing, the photos don’t do it justice. We regularly saw pheasants, birds of prey, even a barn owl only feet away from us. The sea is also in clear view. The area is totally silent and there is no light pollution to stop you seeing the stars whilst in the hot tub! The hut is excellent, spotlessly clean, everything you would need is provided. The bed is comfiest I’ve ever slept in. You do need a car to get about but once you know where you are it’s not too far to takeaways, ...

The bed is comfiest I’ve ever slept in. You do need a car to get about but once you know where you are it’s not too far to takeaways, restaurants and supermarkets. If you want a peaceful, relaxing holiday I really recommend you visit shepherds stone. Upon returning we immediately booked to go back for a week next year! Host is really friendly, lives not far behind hut and is available if ever needed. Thanks Tracy! xx

The property

Llanfaethlu 3.4 miles.

Perched on the rural outskirts of Llanfairynghornwy, a quaint Welsh village a short distance north of neighbouring Llanfaethlu in Anglesey, lies the charming, one-bedroom holiday hut of Shepherd’s Stone.

Featuring a pristine, enclosed garden with lawn and patio areas that enjoys panoramic views of the outstanding encompassing countryside, along with a tastefully-presented, open-plan living space inside, this delightful shepherd’s hut makes an idyllic base for a couple seeking a romantic escape to the beautiful North Wales.

Step up into your new home-from-home, whereupon you'll be greeted by a well-appointed, studio-style living area.

A well-equipped kitchenette houses the appliances you and your loved one will require to rustle up a romantic dinner for two, which can be savoured at the dining table, or even out front on the furnished patio as you soak in more of your serene surroundings.

When it's time to relax, slip into your pool attire and indulge with a dip in the outdoor lazy spa hot tub, and gaze up as you watch the starry night vistas as they begin to appear overhead.

When the sun has set, head back indoors to refresh with a rejuvenating shower, before you finally hop on up into the plush double bed, enjoying a film on the wall-mounted TV as you gradually drift off to a well-earned slumber.

If you can tear yourself from your lovely new dwelling, head out to explore what your local area has in store.

A brief car journey will take you into Llanfaethlu, where you can stock up on essentials at Coffee House Shop before you tuck into a traditional pub lunch at Blas Mwy Black Lion to fuel your day's adventures.

You'll find an array of noteworthy locations a short car trip from your new home, such as the marvellous Traeth Ynys y Fydlyn, the awe-inspiring spot of Maes Parcio Bryn Aber, as well as the peaceful locale of Porth Trwyn.

To the north you can find Cemaes Bay, where the lookout of Porth y Wylfa and the gorgeous location of Traeth Mawr Big Beach await eager tourists.

For a day out, head south to Holyhead, the largest town on Anglesey, home to the Holyhead Maritime Museum, Parc Gwledig Morglawdd Caergybi Breakwater Country Park, and the Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path.

For the ultimate romantic getaway in North Wales, look no further than Shepherd’s Stone.
