We have just returned from a fantastic week.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We took advice given in the folder and visited some places we had never been before which was lovely. The property was great. Having a bathroom with each bedroom was a luxury and the kids loved the hot tub! We would love to return. Great location and easy to get around.

Elen and John were fantastic hosts, so welcoming and friendly.

Their property was finished to a high standard with everything you could want for your holiday home. Children really enjoyed the hot tub and getting “up close & personal” with their bulls. We had a fantastic holiday - thank you.

This is a great place to stay and ideal as a base to explore Anglesey.

The house was spacious with a high quality finish in a beautiful setting.

It was small child friendly and close to several beaches. The owners were kind and helpful with any queries. We were lucky with sunny weather but it would also be a good place to stay in the winter. Highly recommend it.

A super property suitable for friends or family.

Two relaxing areas would be great with multi generational groups, but was also appreciated so we could look at the view. Hot tub came in very handy for easing aches and pains. Very well thought out property done to a high standard. Two bathrooms have walk in showers. The remaining one is over the bath. Owners very pleasant and on site in case of need. Very well presented and scrupulously clean. A nice surprise was the fresh farm eggs, homemade cake along with butter tea and coffee. Well worth a visit.

The property was all we expected and more.

Owners were very helpful and welcoming. Lovely to have a fabulous bath room with each bedroom Hot tub was the icing on the cake!! Just one disappointment. The ITV reception on the TV was very poor made it unwatchable. BBC was fine.

We loved staying at Sgubor for the second time over New Year.

As a family of 8 (4 adults, 4 kids) the accommodation is perfect with loads of space and everything you can need for a homely stay. Comfy beds, great kitchen, brilliant log burner and a hot tub we hope to be back again, highly recommend.

The owner seemed nice and had a gorgeous dog. Hot tub was a really nice addition.

We had an amazing week in Anglesey.

John and Ellen were lovely and made us very welcome. The property is great, well equipped, spacious, clean, and a home from home. The hot tub was also a great addition. It was also really nice being on a working farm and seeing the cows and sheep. Another benefit is the location which was no more than 30 minutes from everywhere that we wanted to visit. Can’t wait to return!!

We had a lovely week and felt very welcome by the owners.

The property is very spacious and was very clean. It was ideal for our two and half year old grandson who loved being able to watch the sheep and see the tractor in action and particularly loved being able to sit in it! The property is an ideal base for a number of lovely beaches and other places to visit, all only a short drive away. Our daughter loved the hot tub and was in every day! The weather was also great!

Truly the best holiday accomodation I've ever stayed in. All done to an exceptionally high standard and nothing overlooked. Beautiful place and lovely people. I can't recommend it highly enough!

Lovely stay in the barn conversion.

Loved the kitchen and mezzanine balcony. Ideal for reading or children chilling. The summer lounge was great during the day and the evening lounge snug at night. Used the hot tub every night just need to crank it up a few degrees s as it’s Wales. The barn has so much space which is needed if the weather is not great. Very quiet location and great hosts in Elen and John. Kitchen has most things you need just take some tongs and ice cube tray. The barn is really warm so you will be snug. The location is great for the wonderful Anglesey beaches which the kids loved in low tide for rock pooling. Also a 30 minute trip to Zip World and the Snowdonia Mountains. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend the Barn and location.

Sgubor is lovely, spacious and comfortable the owners were welcoming and home baked cake on arrival a yummy touch.

The property is well placed for exploring Angelsey, there are lots of family days out locally and good restaurants and eateries nearby.

We had a lovely peaceful stay here and the location was perfect.

The barn was beautifully appointed with a fabulous kitchen and was immaculately clean! Elen and John were very welcoming and we appreciated the gorgeous cake!! The views and surrounding area are beautiful and we loved the hot tub in the evening! We would definitely love to return if we visit Anglesey in the future. The only thing we would have liked was more than 1 bar stool in the kitchen as we liked to congregate there.

A wonderful barn conversion, beautifully and well appointed and equipped.

The owners were lovely, and we were grateful for the delicious cake, eggs, milk and tea that greeted us on arrival. It was spotlessly clean, en suite in each bedroom, and really spacious and comfortable. The hot tub was lovely after a day's walking. The owners had taken the time to point out local attractions, a superb fish and chip shop in Benllech, and local Chinese takeaway, and we loved the area, convenient for most places. Beaumaris, Menai Straits, South Stack all in easy reach. If we come to Anglesey again we wouldn't stay anywhere else. Perfect.

Stunning property in a lovely location.

Owners Elen and John are very welcoming and make you feel home from home, the finish and cleanliness of the property is to an extremely high standard, the hot tub is perfect after a long walk along to beach. Can't fault anything, favourite part of the house was definitely the reading corner for me. We will definitely be back and can highly recommend this property for a family get away. Ideal for a large family or group as you all have your own space, but also space together 10/10

A superb holiday "cottage"

A first class holiday barn - very well appointed and maintained and with very thoughtful preparation.

We were a family of 5 - 2 adults and 3 children and found there was plenty to do for the range of ages and exploring the area was most enjoyable.

The property is lovely and spacious and in a nice quiet location.

Whilst it is semi-detached you are totally unaware of guests in the other cottage as outside spaces are private. The owners are very welcoming and go out of their way to provide anything you need. The hot tub is a great way to end the day. It is a great base from which to explore the beautiful island of Anglesey. Being 3 couples the 3 ensuites were ideal. Please note there were no hairdryers so suggest taking your own. One of the bedrooms didn’t have any drawers and suggest taking some extra hangers for the wardrobe. Other than that would still recommend staying at Sgubor.

We had a lovely week's stay at Sgubor.

The owners welcomed us when we arrived and there was some essentials such as milk, butter, eggs and a homemade cake left for us. The cake was very delicious. The house was perfect for us with three king/double bedrooms and three bathrooms. All of the bedrooms are massive, the only thing I'd change is having a chest of drawers in the bedroom we stayed in, apart from that it was perfect. The house is very spacious and well equipped. We loved having the hot tub, it was lovely having a glass of wine in the evening in the hot tub. The cottage is in a lovely rural location, we also had several visits from the owner's Labrador who is very friendly. We were able to easily travel to any part of Anglesey without too much driving. We'll definitely be booking this again.

A great well maintained property owners are very friendly and welcoming

this is the third time we have stayed at this property and will most certainly be returning again.

The second and third time we brought other people along with us who loved it just as much as us. it is such a relaxing place, waking up to the sound of sheep bleating after a wonderful night's sleep, lounging in the sun room, curling up by a log fire in the comfy lounge putting together a meal in the beautifully equipped kitchen where you can watch sheep while you wash pots (if you choose not to put them in the dishwasher). Everything you need is to hand and if you find anything missing, want any advice or information John and Elen are always more than happy to help and are easily to hand. will be back again soon to enjoy the wonderful walks and restaurants nearby. The cottage is very spacious, well equipped and spotless and it’s in a great location. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. We’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend.

An absolutely lovely property which has been fitted out to a high specification and with everything you might need for self catering.

The downstairs bedroom would be very suitable for a disabled guest with its large bedroom and huge en-suite wet room. Plenty of outside seating in a sheltered area and parking for two or three cars. We would happily return to this property.

The owners were very welcoming and made sure we were settled. The welcome pack and the cake was lovely and they provide lots of leaflets of things to do in the area. Everything is 10 minutes away so it’s not so remote, the views and scenery is stunning.

We absolutely loved our stay at Sgubor!

The Owners where incredibly helpful! We loved the little touches they provided us for example the butter, milk, eggs and cake left in the kitchen. A few visits from the friendly dog where sweet to! Hot tub was sensational and the cleanliness of the house was outstanding! It is in a great location, with short drives to some breathtaking places! A short 10 minute drive from a couple of golf courses that we took advantage of! All in all it was such a lovely and unbelievable stay at Sgubor and we shall definitely stay again! Thank you so much for our wonderful stay in such a beautiful part of the country!

Very friendly hosts, but not intrusive. Responded immediately and fixed problem with hot tub. Spacious rooms and excellent wet room on ground floor. Five star property!

Superb property which served our needs well.

Stayed in over 15 + cottages and we concluded this has been the best. Warm friendly welcome. Good access to areas of interest and Snowdonia if wanted. Nice for us to entertain my parents at the property who were staying elsewhere. Only improvement suggestion for a family that likes to walk from the door would be to ask if it were possble to access footpath network toward Red Warf Bay by going across farm land to avoid road section (albeit quiet) ? Might not be possible and I guess few people would use it but struggling to add anything constructive as it is so good. Thank you.

the house is beautiful, finished to a very high standard with three beautiful en-suite rooms. Ideal for anyone disabled as there is a downstairs bedroom with large walk in wet room. Very comfortable lounge and modern kitchen with all necessary equipment. There is a hot tub which we didnot use due to the weather, however, we will definitely be returning, hopefully in the summer when we can make use of it. We also loved the location which is out of the town but ideally situated for visiting both sides of the island. We enjoyed sunday lunch at Panton Arms, which is a short distance from the house, also a well stocked spar at the petrol station. Would certainly recommend this house

Beautiful spacious house fitted to a very high standard, extremely comfortable.

Bedrooms and en suite bathrooms all lovely. Kitchen also very well equipped, plenty of storage and very smart cooker and other appliances. Added luxury of the hot tub was a bonus! The hosts were very helpful and welcoming. We enjoyed a brilliant week with our friends!

This cottage is beautiful and in an amazing part of Wales.

The cottage has everything you could need and the owners couldn't be more helpful. We arrived to a lovely home made cake and a few extra supplies, milk, eggs, butter. Owners are happy to give recommendations for walks / things to do nearby and the surrounding area, red wharf bay, benllech, newborough, have some beautiful beaches. This is our second stay, the first time was in their other cottage storws, and we will be back again soon. Kate and Tim Warner

One of the best holidays have been on, all covid restrictions were excellent and explained properly by Sykes.

The holiday cottage was outstanding with vast amount of space and storage. Hot tub was brilliant and so was the area, some noise from the road if had patio door open in front bedroom but quiet at night. Ellen and John were extremely lovely and helpful people. Would definetly come back to stay again as it was perfect and close to towns and attractions

This was a brilliant holiday to have!

The entire house was spotless (even in the places you wouldn't have thought to clean). We were amazed at how comfy everything was and very much enjoyed our stay. John and Elen were incredibly welcoming, and when we needed any assistance they were ready to help. Not to mention the beautiful cake that we received upon arrival. It was certainly a week to remember, and we hope to return!

Took a very long time to answer my questions in the meantime I contacted the owner directly, she had answered all my queries very positively and had given her consent to some things I requested!

When you got back to me eventually you told me no! So it was obvious you had not even contacted the owner with my requests !!!! The cottage was excellent John and Elen were very helpful and friendly, it’s a beautiful cottage and would book it again without hesitation

Lovely barn conversion - has a wonderful hot-tub.

Exceptionally clean and well resourced kitchen. Friendly owners and delicious home-made cake in the welcome pack. Property is in an excellent location. You need to ask for the master bedroom upstairs to be made up as a super king-size rather than 2 single beds.

We arrived to a beautiful house complete with welcome pack, the house was beautifully decorated, warm and spacious.

Set on a farm, the views were stunning and perfect for a peaceful and relaxing few days, especially coupled with the hot tub! Our hosts were friendly and welcoming and we even got to see some new born lambs. It's a good base to explore Anglesey and we would very much like to come back again.

The cottage was amazing, beautiful interior and furnished to an excellent standard.

A nice cake eggs & butter was waiting for us on arrival and everything that you needed for your stay was provided. The underfloor heating down stairs was lovely, but upstairs was a little chilly, no instructions on how to turn heating up. We tried to do it our self with no joy. Reported to the owner who was lovely and came straight round to resolve the problem. Would definitely stay again

Elen was a super host.

Cottage was huge and all 3 bedrooms are huge too. All of them ensuite which was amazing. 2 rooms have king size beds and the other has 2 singles which can connect and make a king size. Make sure you let Elen know if you want it as a king bed before arrival otherwise it will be set up as 2 singles. However, it is easily switched. Little touches such as a Welsh cake and eggs and milk with tea and coffee were left in the kitchen for us. It is a fully equipped cottage and all you need it food and toiletries and a hairdryer etc. Will most definitely be coming back. We went as 3 couples for a break away. Loved every minute. Thanks again Elen x

The cottages are beautiful, our friends had rented the adjoining cottage, Storws, and again it was beautifully appointed. We had a fantastic stay and we wouldn’t hesitate to return.

The cottage was a brand new refurbishment of some old barn buildings on the owner’s sheep farming property and provided us with a well thought out floor plan with great facilities and in immaculate condition. We especially enjoyed the spacious kitchen facilities and the downstairs bedroom and wet room areas. There were further bedroom and bathroom facilities upstairs, easily providing plenty of space for a group of 6 people. The cottage is set in a peaceful location providing a quiet, private and spacious environment. The location served as an excellent base for exploring the island of Anglesey and Snowdonia National Park in North Wales. Our hosts, John and Elen, were very warm and welcoming and were on hand with advice and assistance if we needed anything. The lovely welcome pack, including a traditional home baked Welsh cake was a very thoughtful gesture. We would have no hesitation in recommending this wonderful cottage and hope to revisit in the future.

A weekend break celebrating our mothers 84th Birthday - A weekend to remember.

Accommodation outstanding - far exceeded our expectations. Fabulous all round, especially the downstairs facilities and huge wet-room. Well thought out by the lovely owners John and Elen, who were on hand if we needed anything. A dip in the hot tub a must! Peaceful location, just a short drive to town, beaches, pubs etc. Have no hesitation in recommending this wonderful cottage and will definitely be returning.

They provided us with all the essentials and were at the end of the phone when needed. The property has excellent beaches nearby. Llandona beach as suggested by the hosts is our family's favourite. The property is in excellent condition and is nearer to all the amenities. Elen's home baked Welsh cake was delicious. Being rural in location, WiFi connection is intermittent. We are delighted with the quality of the accommodation and warmth of the hosts.
