“We travelled 5 hours to this property and were really looking forward to our 3 night stay with my son and his partner.”

First impressions really count however the entrance to the property was so disappointing; filthy and lots of cobwebs with ingrained dirt on the door and the sills/frame. On entering the property sadly we were presented with a musty damp smell. The portable heaters in each room was evidence that the property suffered with damp. The en suite did not have any hot water and the kitchen had a very slow flow of hot water. The hallway window had mould in it as did the en-suite window. (A shower ...

(A shower over the bath in the en-suite would be beneficial). The kitchen is dated but adequate. Having two dogs we wanted to hoover up but the hoover did not work despite us emptying the full bag inside. The TV had no terrestrial channels but thankfully Netflix was available. We used the property as a base as we made sure we went out daily. Sadly I would not return to this property neither can I recommend it.

Many thanks for leaving your feedback, we are sorry to read that you were unhappy with some aspects of your recent stay. We were delighted to hear that you found the level of cleanliness was good. As the entrance area by the front door is enclosed on 3 sides in some weather conditions such as high winds which we had recently with Storm Agnes, leaves and debris can gather, this is something that we will ask the house keeper to monitor in the future. As the property is sizeable we have provided some additional heaters for those colder moments if the guests need a boost of heat. We are sorry that you didn't find the switch for the immersion heater for the hot water in the en-suite, frustrating for you, the information for that is in the visitors manual. It is disappointing that you found some signs of mould on two windows, this is something that we will ask our house keeper to monitor in the future. We do supply a Smart TV that has freeview,it is able to get Netflix, BBC and ITV channels. We have provided a visitors manual giving detailed instructions on all features of the property including contact details for our agent Menai should a guest have any issues. It is a shame that they weren't contacted during your stay in order for us to try to resolve the issues as quickly as possible and to make your stay an enjoyable. Property Owner
