Ty Bains

Perfect holiday home, didn’t want to leave.

We struggled with parking as one of our cars couldn’t park on the steep driveway but spoke to owner and was able to park elsewhere. Ideal location for visiting all North Wales has to offer especially Snowdon. Would definitely book again.

Great place to stay, I thoroughly recommend it.

The house is located near the centre of Llanberis village and is a convenient, yet quiet, base for exploring Snowdonia. It's a short walk to pubs, restaurants and the Snowdonia Mountain Railway station. The house was super clean and has everything we could have wanted, and lots of stuff that we didn't need, such as great kitchen and cooking facilities and washing machine etc. The four doubke bedrooms were spacious enough for our needs and provided adequate hanging space. There's is a load of really comfortable outdoor space and sitting area and a massive outdoor fire, that on an evening it would be lovely to sit round. There's a small stream running to the side of the garden. Being the end house it's also very private. Three of us stayed a week and agreed that it was one of the best accommodations we've stayed at on our annual road trips.

Beautiful house, immaculately clean and well maintained in the most gorgeous setting.

Family of 6, plenty of space and very well equipped. Would recommend without hesitation and would definitely return. Photos online don't do it justice. Would have liked - The option to have twin beds in a room or two. More / better storage facilities in the bedrooms, only one wardrobe. Egg cups.

Walking distance to town and not far from snowdon. Property was well equipped with everything we needed. Housekeeper eve was excellent. We had good weather too

Immaculate property, superbly maintained and spotlessly clean.

Kitchen utensils and equipment top quality. Landscaped patio exceptional although to cool to able to appreciate in October. The top gate was very handy to get directly onto the hills.

Fantastic extensive property with an amazing mountain view.

Location great for easy access to village and walks up nearby mountains. Very well equipped and spacious. Bit confusing about bins and recycling waste and the driveway feels very steep for parking but otherwise difficult to fault. Just need the good weather!

Cannot recommend this property highly enough.

Lovely, clean and tidy house. Excellent sized bedrooms. All the utensils you could ask for in a kitchen. Fantastic location in lovely Llanberis. The village has everything you need. The house is in a really quiet cul-de-sac but within walking distance of Mt Snowdon Llanberis path. I was sad to leave this house and would definitely return and recommend.

Great place to stay in the midst of everything, easy walk to snowdonia railways , lots of restaurants, pubs and the lake.

No too far to explore Caernorfan, which is a dab day out. Property has everything you could need and Eve is easy to contact should you need help .

A beautifully decorated, comfortable house in a quiet location.

The beds are comfortable. Having a downstairs toilet and a bedroom with en-suite is a bonus. The kitchen is well equipped if you need to prepare a meal. Great walks from the door and the Llanberis Path is close by if you want to walk up Snowdon.

It's definitely a wow factor!

Better than the photos. We booked the property for my Father-in-laws 90th birthday. It was perfect! The house had everything we needed. Its in an amazing, quiet location. The outside covered seating area and fire really came in handy, we were very lucky with the weather, so sat outside most evenings. The beds are extremely comfy, a good night sleep was had by all. Having a downstairs toilet and a bedroom with onsuite was a bonus. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a meal, but if you don't want to cook, a 5 min stroll into the village you'll find takeaways n pubs/eateries. There are also 2 well stocked shops in the village if you run out of anything. It's in walking distance to the Snowdon Mountain Railway and the Padarn Lake Railway, Slate Museum and walks around that area - though the Slate Museum is closed until 2027 for refurbishment. When it reopens.. it is a good place to visit. Regular buses come through the village for neighbouring villages and also the sherpa buses to take you up to the start of the Pyg and Miners tracks. If you want to walk up Snowdon. I would definitely book again. Thank you, the house is beautiful.

Ty Bains has been perfect for our weeks stay in North Wales.

We stayed there with my son, daughter, son in law and baby Grandson and there was plenty of room for us all. This beautiful house is spacious, comfortable, spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated, it has everything a family could possibly need. It's in a great location, Llanberis high street is a few minutes walk away. I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend this property.

What an absolutely fantastic place to stay, relax, walk from and enjoy yourself.

Our 23rd wedding anniversary was an absolute belter as we just sank into warm couches, relaxed mornings, long mountain walks and excellent fish n chips 5 minutes away. I cannot speak highly enough of this property. From the get go Eve left it warm, clean and welcoming.

An absolutely superb property, beautifully furnished and in a great location for access to the hills, Llanberis town centre and as a hub for touring farther afield.

The open plan ground floor is really good particularly for large groups. Our only observation was wardrobe/ chest of drawer storage was very limited for 8 adults (just one in one bedroom) and most of us lived out of our suitcases, not satisfactory and not aligned with an otherwise well appointed property.

The house was clean, comfortable and spacious.

One of the best properties I have stayed in.

Owners have thought of everything. Beautiful furnishings and extremely clean. My only niggle was the mattresses which where on the soft side but that is a personal preference and not a reflection on the property.

Amazing property.

Loved everything about it. Great views from master bedroom to Elidir Fawr. Walking distance to all facilities in Llanberis. Shame you can't reach the wild raspberries growing by the stream which flows down side of property. The addition of a little bridge in there would be perfect. The wood stash needs covering up to keep the rain out.

We've had a wonderful week at Ty Bains.

The house was perfect, clean and well equipped. The beds were comfortable, there was lots of seating space and a wonderful seating area in the back garden. The location was perfectly situated just off Llanberis High Street and provided us with lots of walks that we didn't need to use the car once there. We will definitely come back to Ty Bains.

Faultless property which was immaculate on arrival and furnished to a very high standard.

Some properties you just immediately feel relaxed in and this was definitely one.The outside area is fantastic although we didn’t get full use due to the weather not being very kind to us. The location was perfect with our group able to do the Snowdon walk straight from the doorstep. Plenty to do and if we return we would be booking Ty Bains again 100%. Thanks again Brian & Lynne

A beautiful spacious and warm house situated in a lovely quiet area of Llanberis.

Had everything we needed for a comfy (luxurious) stay away from home, thank you.

A lovely spacious modern house that comfortably gave us plenty of room.

The beds and sofas were really comfy and there was a large dining table that seated us all easily. Plenty of room for 2 cars ( we squeezed 3 on). We didn’t use the cars as the central location was close to the excellent Spar and pub (the latter had good food). We were able to walk to the bottom of the Llanberis path for our journey to the top of Snowdon. The Slate museum, railways and local walking were also within walking access. Would thoroughly recommend the house and place!

Really well presented and comfortable property The house was spotlessly clean and a few nice touches left for our arrival The location couldn’t be better as not only are you a couple of minutes walk from all the local amenities but the local attractions are also within walking distance so great opportunity to leave the car and get out.

We would definitely love to return to Ty Bains again as so much more to explore which we didn’t get around to on this break

A lovely and beautifully decorated property.

Plenty of seating inside and out for everyone to be together. We really enjoyed our time there and wished we had been staying for longer. We would definitely come back again.

Very comfortable and warm house; excellent layout downstairs.

Our only niggle was lack of space in the bedrooms for clothes storage but it was just about solvable for us. We were able to use the 4th bedroom as a spare

We had a fantastic stay over the Christmas break.

The only thing I would mention would be the oven doesn’t seem to get that hot when we was cooking and maybe some tips on how to light the fire as one day we managed to fill the lounge with smoke. Not sure if that was user error. But a fantastic location with everything we needed and more.

Lovely house, very comfortable.

A nice cream cake and bottle of wine in the fridge on arrival, thank-you. Facilities were very good and nothing disappointed, everything in good working order. The week we stayed the weather was mixed and a bit on the cool side so we made good use of the outdoor fire in the evenings which was really nice, listening to the bird calls, we heard a tawny owl most evenings. Some nice walks nearby up to the waterfalls and around the lake in Llanberis, Llyn Padarn. Llanberis itself is a nice place with some good shops. Recommend the ice-cream shop and we had really good takeaways from The Spice of Llanberis and Allports Fish and Chips.

The house is gorgeous, and had everything we needed. It’s a great location to climb Snowdon with lots of other activities to do also, so was a great base for us.

a wonderful house to stay in.

It was exactly as it appeared online, with everything you could need for a holiday stay and more. Very comfortable beds which is always important. Living area is also well thought out and comfortable. The location was brilliant, only a short distance from Llanberis centre and very close to many attractions. Very quiet location. Lovely outdoor space to entertain or to sit and read.

Our stay was just perfect the house felt so homely we all fell in love with the decor .

. perfectly situated everything in walking distance. As we arrived and bought in our bags the first thing you do is check there’s milk for a cuppa (there was ) but we were also surprised with two bottles of Prosecco and profiteroles

Our stay has been hugely enjoyable as a result of the lovely facilities and beautifully scenic position of this property.

It really is a home from home with all needs met plus the thoughtfulness of a welcome bottle of prosecco and yummy desert in the fridge for our arrival was an extra pleasure. Though we had no direct contact with the owners/caretaker we felt very welcomed by these touches and the provision of the basics for cleaning products, etc. was an added bonus.

Stepping into Ty Bains was a fantastic start to our family holiday.

The location was excellent and the house was exceptional. The welcome pack was a lovely touch and much appreciated. The house and gardens where to a very high standard, with all amenities that you could need. We really enjoyed the downstairs open living layout and made the most if the wood burner on cold evenings. The house was very clean and modern and we would highly recommend it.
