“This was a home from home.”

Meeting all our needs in every way . Spacious and well appointed .Quiet position. The dish washer needs some attention still….previous week had a problem . Nowhere could I find info on the fact that ‘ towels were not provided’ ( I picked it up as Mentioned in a couple of reviews) This is important information that should be highlighted. We would definitely recommend the property and would happily rebook .

“This bungalow is almost perfect.”

Very well cared for, immaculately clean and maintained to a very high standard. The living room is spacious and very comfortable though the massive conservatory would benefit from a little more comfortable seating to make it a perfect spot to hang out and relax during the evenings. The kitchen is very small but well equipped with a full fridge and freezer making it a dream for self catering. Due to it's size the owner opted not to add a slow cooker or air fryer, knowing this we took our own and found setting them up in the conservatory worked better than we hoped, so I'd suggest that too. That aside however this property offers you a relaxing, peaceful home from home experience. We enjoyed being there and have zero doubts about booking again. The Cul de sac it sits in is isolated making it free from passing cars. The A55 and also coastal road are close by giving access to anywhere, but far enough away not up hear a sound. It's about 10-15 minutes from the Britannia Bridge as I accessing the mainland is effortless. In short. A beautiful home in a beautiful location, well stocked and equipped and beautifully cared for. I'd recommend it... (but not the week I want.... so off! hahaha).

The garden is spacious with a seating area and there’s plenty of room to park. The conservatory is large and looks out over the garden. Eurach Parc is easy to find and is a good base to explore the island from. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and intend to return.

It is always reliably clean, crockery, cooking utensils, etc are always available. The garden is a delight on a warm sunny day for enjoying a coffee on the seating area. Unfortunately this time the weather for the latter part of the week was dreadful so couldn't go out but at least the property is warm and comfortable for staying inside.

Comfortable sofas and beds. Good sized TV that works properly! A car is a must for this property as it is situated in rural location. This was very peaceful and the night sky was so beautiful and dark without light pollution. We took 85 year old family member who managed the week very well in this property .

The bathroom and shower room were very convenient and very well kept. We loved the large conservatory which looked out onto the well kept gardens and the countryside beyond and being a corner plot also made it very private. We can’t speak highly enough about Bwthyn Clyd and would not hesitate to recommend it. We sincerely hope to return in the future.

“Beautiful bungalow, exactly as described in the details.”

The garden is a wonderful private sun trap, we spent a lot of time sitting out there as we had absolutely perfect weather. There are lots of wild rabbits in the field behind and we enjoyed watching them. The bungalow is a perfect base from which to explore north wales and Anglesey. We went out every day - Beaumaris and llanfairPG are close and Plas newydd is just two miles away, bodnant gardens, Llandudno and Conway are within easy reach. We went on a steam train from Caernarfon to bedgellert and drove to south stacks lighthouse at the end of Anglesey another day. It was nice to come back to such a wonderful comfortable base each afternoon. Very comfortable beds, lovely showers. A minor niggle was that this was the first place I have ever stayed where we had to bring our own towels, but a bath mat and tea towels in the kitchen were provided, so obviously not for hygiene reasons. The settees would benefit from cushions, but a note in the information pack cited covid and the need for stricter cleaning between stays as a reason that some homely stuff wasn’t provided, but we felt this was a cop out as there were cushions in the bedrooms and conservatory (which we used on the settee during our stay). Also the instructions for connecting to the WiFi need to be amended - we needed to get information from the hub at the back of the TV - as I said ‘minor niggles’ we had a great stay it is truly a home from home.

“I have stayed in many Sykes properties over the years this is the first one I would like to call home it was very clean and private the small estate is kept immaculate from our point of view we found the double bed to hard but the two singles were okay the one thing we found was the to was very difficult to use.”

I had the double bedroom and the bed is fabulous. My sister in law had the twin room and her bed was as comfortable as her bed at home. The bungalow has everything you need and is very clean and modern. A lovely large private garden and the whole site is beautifully designed and all you can hear are the birds and we watch the rabbits every morning.

“We have stayed at this property before having found it provided a quiet, spacious and comfortable base.”

The property is situated inland and the immediate surrounds are pleasant if not especially scenic and it is in a good location if you wish to travel and explore other parts of Anglesey and North Wales. It is about 20 minute drive to the nearest good beach at Newborough. Kitchen facilities are good though not outstanding and the large fridge/freezer is very useful. The bedrooms are spacious and beds comfortable with the double being firm and the two singles on the soft side. Given the space available a king size bed would be a useful addition to replace the double. The duvet covers could also be larger on the existing beds. In the bathroom off the double bedroom a hook for towels would be useful and a minor irritation was that the bathroom lock was loose and fell out - we left it out for the duration of our stay. Overall we would recommend this property.

Beautiful surroundings and garden. The bungalow was lovely and clean with everything we needed. Beds were very comfortable with firm mattresses just what I needed. Although there were other holiday homes the garden is very private and all you can hear are the birds. We've already booked again for next year.

Same lovely well stocked bungalow. Just disappointed in the dirty microwave, cooker hob, crumbs in the cutlery drawer, spider webs complete with occupants. Also underwear was left in the bedside drawers. Very disappointed.

It would have been nice if the twin beds had been zip'n'link to make a double, but we managed. A slip mat for the shower in the twin would also be a good idea as I found it very slippy under foot when getting out of the shower. All in all a very good property.

It’s spacious and warm. Loved the powerful shower. The garden is a real sun trap in the evenings and plenty there’s of seating. The double bed was comfy as were the sofas! Also nice that we could log into Netflix and the Wi-Fi was reliable. The only thing missing was a full size clothes airer as we did some washing and had no where to hang it. On arrival we were disappointed that the dining table, worktop, one sofa and the floor were covered in crumb's. It appeared non of the floors had been cleaned. But we would definitely stay here again as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay on this lovely quiet Island.

“A bungalow on a relatively small new development that is beautifully landscaped, rural and quiet.”

Everything that you could possibly need is provided in the property which has it's own pretty gardens with garden seats and table and we much enjoyed sitting in the spacious conservatory bird watching. We loved the locality so near to so much of interest but a car is essential. A handyman is on site if you have any problems, he changed a lightbulb for us at about 6 pm.

“We had an excellent stay here, very relaxing, particularly enjoyed sitting in the conservatory.”

The only thing we would like to mention is that there is a slight misalignment of the pathway to the left of the front door which is difficult to see. Perhaps it would be a good idea to put a yellow strip here to highlight this. One of our party slipped here on arrival which alerted us to it. It would be a great shame if someone really hurt themselves here. Other than that we loved our stay.

We would recommend that both sofas require fixing or replacement. Other than this it was a lovely cottage in a peaceful area, well maintained with many small extras which were much appreciated.

“Having enjoyed our third year's holiday at this particular holiday home we were sadly surprised on our arrival to see that the home needed a good clean.”

Whilst the floors seemed to have been vacuumed, both bathrooms were clean and tidy and both bedrooms were similarly clean there were many cobwebs evident in the corners of each room, the inside of the fridge needed a good clean as did the exterior of the kettle. In addition the kitchen floor needed to be mopped. We personally addressed these aspects and as such we can only rate this year's experience as having met our expectations, not exceeded them. All other aspects of the holiday home was very enjoyable; however on reflection the mattress of double bed in the master bedroom was quite firm. Assuming the prior high standards of cleanliness are resumed would mean future holidays at this location would once again exceed our expectations.

“After a long journey it would have been nice to have had a pint of milk in the fridge.”

We know it is self catering and we were prepared but there are no shops very local and arriving after hours could have been unpleasant if we didn`t have some provisions. It is the first cottage we have ever been to where there was no small welcome pack. One other small point was that the water was so hot in the shower and taps that it was difficult to get cool enough. The boiler was going almost constantly to keep the water at the temperature setting. Cleaning was slightly below par. Now the good bits. It was a lovely bungalow in a nice quiet setting with a nice garden. Well equipped, comfortable furnishings, Wi-Fi, big rooms and comfy beds. Despite our small moans, we will quite possibly go back again.

“We were really happy with this place.”

There were 4 adults in our party and it was much better than we had expected. It was very clean and they even left us some basics i.e.tea, coffee, sugar, salt and pepper and cleaning products. Also in the property they have a fully functioning kitchen including washing machine and dishwasher as wellas a large fridge/freezer. They had books, DVD's and CD's if we wanted to use them. The rooms were fresh and had been aired when we arrived. There was enough room for us all to have nice chats and dinner together but also enough space that you could go off and maybe read in the conservatory which was again lovely. The garden is well maintained and nicely furnished, you can sit out and watch the rabbits in the field behind you. It was in easy reach of everywhere we wanted to go, we even went to Dublin one day from Holyhead port (don't forget your passport) which was about 20 minutes drive away. We have decided we would definitely go to Anglesey again and when we do we will book this place. It may not be the cheapest in Anglesey but it has to be the best most reasonable priced place I have been to. Thanks for making our holiday

Menai Bridge with its excellent shops and restaurants is a short distance away, from there you can cross the magnificent Telford Bridge to visit the university city of Bangor and its beautiful cathedral, the city has a great vibe and is popular with young and old alike. For a taste of history, visit The National Trust’s Plas Newydd country house and gardens, which is a short drive and well worth a visit. Six miles away is a riding centre and just seven miles away, the historic town of Beaumaris, with its medieval castle and Victorian pier, offers a good selection of shops, restaurants and pubs, whilst the whole of the island boasts superb watersports, fishing, diving and walking opportunities. From the village itself are some wonderful countryside walks, the village favourite is a walk to the neolithic tombs of Bryn Celi Ddu, one of the most mysterious and ancient tombs in all of Wales. The lofty mountains and lakes of Snowdonia National Park are easily accessible and are a paradise for lovers of the outdoors. A wonderful location for a varied and enjoyable holiday.
