Maesdu Cottage

Lovely property close to shops and a short walk to the promenade.

I didn't have any issues with the driveway gate. Once it was close the garden area was secure. We didn’t use the upstairs bedrooms but they looked fine. Would love to come again. Karen was very helpful too.

The cottage was lovely and comfortable.

There were no extras such as soap or extra towels. There was no cafetière. Its position was excellent; easy walking to town and beach. It is on a busy road but the sliding gate made it safe for the dog.

There were some nice touches like the wine & goodies left by the owners, on the down side the downstairs bedroom felt cold and damp despite the heating being on most of the day, there wasn’t really anywhere to dry your hair with sockets close by to plug into had to dry in lounge which wasn’t ideal, due to the toilet being downstairs we never used the upstairs area at all, and there was no side gate to stop our dog escaping onto a busy main road as you can’t close front gates when car is parked.

we only used half of the property the dining room was cold and dark and had a dehumidifier on most of the time, so we avoided that room altogether. Don’t think it was worth the rental fee they’re charging one of the most expensive we’ve stayed at we ended our holiday 2 days early came home New Year’s Day.

This is our 2nd stay at Maesdu & hope to go again next year.

There is everything you need & every where is immaculate. Because I have a back problem I must remember to take a cushion to sit on either of the sofas, as they are lovely & soft so you sink into the seat....there are cushions on the setees but I wouldn't want to flatten them!! Karen, is a lovely person who owns the property & is very helpful. The property is very handy for the retail parks & the main road into Llandudno, also if you drive all the way on Maesdu Road it is great for travelling to Conwy. I would like to wish everyone at Sykes, Karen & her family a very happy Christmas & healthy 2026.

Karen is most kind and helpful the property is lovely home from home only problem was getting into driveway as a road to Conway was closed not Karen’s fault we have booked this again in March and also September next year already could not fault anything had a lovely stay again .

Very pleasant property very convenient for the town.

You can easily walk to the sea front, railway station, Mostyn Street (the main shopping street), and pier, as well as easy to drive out of Llandudno itself for touring. I very much look forward to a return visit, which sums it all up.

Lovely little cottage with parking and a gate.

It is a very secure place. All the basics are there although it would benefit from a little extras like tea towels or paper towels for drying up. Overall though it was a lovely experience and I would highly recommend.

very comfortable and clean . For us the only downside was the busy road and our van was too big to park on the drive as we had our dog we needed to keep the gate shut .Not a problem for a smaller vehicle nothing the owner can do about that I know .apart from that would recommend this home to friends and family .great being so close to the retail park .

The cottage was spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable.

The only slight issue, there are no plug sockets next to any mirrors in the property so drying hair was a bit of a challenge! Also the bedside cupboard next to the double bed upstairs has to be moved if you want to close the door!

The cottage was in an ideal location for Llandudno town and beaches and off street parking was a huge benefit .

We found it clean and tidy and well equipped with the basics for our holiday.

The property was lovely:-bright,clean,warm and welcoming,complete with everything we could have possibly needed during our 3 day stay.

It was in a nice,clean area(no litter), within walking distance of the beach and close to 2 retail parks,a supermarket and town centre.

The bungalow is in great spot for all the family plenty to do in walking distance, lovely and warm to come home to, The Link Hotel serves good food, which we enjoyed in the evening, definitely will book again, lovely owner thank you for sharing, can’t fault anything.

Well equipped kitchen - the fact that there’s a full size fridge freezer , as opposed to a small freezer box , was very much appreciated . Only small downside was that the heavy metal gate across the driveway needed to be closed to have an enclosed garden for the dog. We had two cars and you couldn’t close the gate if one party was out in their car - the road was too busy to stop and open the gate . Minor inconvenience given the excellent location and great accommodation . Would hope to be back next year .

The house is spotless and well furnished, and in easy walking distance of Llandudno beach and town centre. We book our next visit before we leave this one!

A lovely cottage well equipped with its own little patio garden.

Lovely clean bungalow close to Llandudno promenade with all the facilities you need to enjoy your stay.

Owners very attentive when needed. Llandudno is a good base to visit other parts of Wales. Thank you for an enjoyable visit to Wales.

Spacious and comfortable accommodation had a fab stay great food at the guestty links 200metres away.

10 minute walk to the prom with all the coffee shops in Llandudno near by what’s not to like Graham and Debbie

Lovely cottage , fabulous location for town and promenade which is 10 ‘minutes walk away and also a good 30 walk to west shore beach .

The cottage had everything we wanted , dog friendly too with added bonus of lights in the back garden so you can see your dog at 3am and see what he’s up to

Ideal location.

Very comfortable and warm property very well equipped. However decor felt quite dated. The toilet and bathroom really let the property down. The flooring and paintwork had definitely seen better days and was not up to the standard we were expecting having stayed in other Sykes holiday properties

Very dog friendly Links hotel over the road does lovely food and beer and it is only a short walk into Llandudno perfect thank you.

A very comfortable stay.

The cottage was very clean. Nice to have a Christmas tree. We were initially worried that it would be cold but it was in fact more than warm enough. It would have been nice to have been able to put the dimplex fire display on, but it was not working. Very convenient for food shopping and other shops and not too far to walk to the main town centre. One spare toilet roll would have been appreciated. Overall was very good for what we needed. Thanks.

Everything you need for a lovely holiday!

What a wonderful place, close to retail shopping, only 10 minutes walk to town centre, 5 minutes to Asda & about 8 minutes to the sea front.

Karen the owner was very helpful when we had an enquiry, only minor setback was the tv has Netflix app installed but could not register on it. Prime & bbc iplayer worked fine, could do with adding more apps. Would also be ideal if there was a wooden gated small fence by the kitchen door to keep small dogs safe as ours would have got through the drive gate he's a cavapoo, so couldn't let him runaround as he likes to. But overall really good break & weather was kind. Mr D Williams/ stockport

This is our second stay at Maesdu Cottage and the standards are exactly the same.

The cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay and is beautifully clean. Our Border terrier was very grateful for the very safe and enclosed garden! A special thank you to Karen for sorting out the DVD player that had ceased to function. After trying to rectify the problem she decided to buy a new replacement. This was installed in no time. Great.

The cottage was excellent.

It was spotlessly clean with everything thought of that you would need for a lovely holiday. It was within walking distance of the town, pier and even one day we walked up the Great Orme! Our little dog Poppy was able to go out in the garden safely. We will book again. Thank you Karen for letting us stay in your lovely home.

This cottage was a little gem.

It is a good size property with all we needed for a family stay . Everything was extremely clean and tidy on arrival , the beds are very comfortable .The kitchen has a good supply of saucepans and utensils with a family size fridge freezer. Although on a main road we did not find noise an issue at all, you just need to take care when you reverse off the drive. Thank you Karen and Gary for making our stay great .

Lovely homely cottage spotlessly clean with everything that you may need we especially liked the down stair s bedroom with twin beds which was so comfortable we slept like logs .

Parking space and garden which our little dog loved was a bonus ,5mins to shopping centre and 15mins walk into town and 15min to beach we're slow walkers

I am disabled and had to use the downstairs bedroom it smelt awful like a cat peed on the carpet I had to call Karen to sort it out she came promptly and put in an air freshener which didn’t stop it smelling and it got up your nose all night The wardrobe in there was mouldy inside and Karen had to come and clean it the beds in there were uncomfortable ok for kids but not for adults we had had enough by the Thursday and came home a day early the room was mouldy and damp and musty

The cottage is perfect there is a lovely little garden at the back of the property and everything you need is there. We had a lovely time and will definitely be booking again.

The hosts Karen and Gary were very helpful, the cottage modern, very comfortable and spotless, it easily accommodated, 4 adults and a baby. The next time I'm in Llandudno I'd definitely see if it was free to stay again.

Cottage in good location for walking into Llandudno, property was clean and warm and had everything we required for self catering.

Owner allowed us in earlier than stated which was a bonus, this is our 2nd time at the cottage and will probably return in the future.

The house, facilities and location couldn’t be better, and the host is friendly and approachable. It’s a short flat walk to the seafront or Llandudno centre, and easy local travel to Conwy and all north wales has to offer. Booked next visit before this one had finished!

Very comfortable cottage.

Very well furnished with everything you would need for a happy stay. Close to all amenities and facilities. Super safe for our dog who has the tendency to be a bit of a Houdini! The only one thing I found to be annoying was the missing instructions for the media players. That was the only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 as it took up so much time trying to get the things to work. I would stay again.

A very clean & comfortable property in an excellent location for exploring North Wales.

Ideal for our family of four & the dog too! Only improvements I would suggest are a toilet upstairs, dish washer instead of washing machine & some side lamps in the lounge rather than just the main light. Otherwise all fab!

We enjoyed our stay at Maesda cottage.

The cottage was spotless and the facilities were excellent. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you needed. The cooker was gas and there was an big fridge freezer and a washing machine. The lounge was very comfortable and equipped with dvd player and television and had games and jigsaws. We enjoyed the outside sitting area. The beds were comfortable and we had no problem sleeping. Would recommend this property.

Great property - the house was fresh and clean, and had everything we needed.

As a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children aged 5 and 12 years) and a dog, there was plenty of room, games and books. Location was excellent with a field and small play park across the road, plenty of shops within 5 minutes walking (Asda, Aldi, Pets at Home, etc) and the beach only 10 minutes walk. Unfortunately we missed the goats randomly walking the streets, hopefully we will see them next time. Would highly recommend!

Only negative of this property is the lack of a full length bannister for the stairs which are steep and we ended up sleeping in the downstairs twin bedroom because we didn’t like the idea of having to come down the stairs in the night to use the toilet.

Even during the day the stairs are not nice without the bannister at the top, especially with tired legs after a full days walking.. A few other previous guests have made the same comments going back some time but it would appear that no notice has been taken by the owner, which is a shame because otherwise the property is perfect.

Spot on decor bit dated

Good location on main road, easy walk to shops and beach, bus stop nearby.

Well equipped, cosy accommodation, nicely decorated and very clean. A couple of low ceilings in the dining area and one bedroom to be aware of. One ground floor bedroom next to downstairs toilet was handy for our older relatives. Small bathroom with shower over bath might be a problem for anyone with access needs. Ideal for our family trip for four and we booked it as pets were accepted by arrangement. Thank you, we had an excellent stay in this lovely seaside location.

Have stayed at this cottage before, we like it's position in relation to shop facilities and local attractions.

Being within walking distance of the prom, beaches and Orme is fabulous and then having shorter drives to other attractions. Absolutely love the Orme and the coastal walks, pebbles, sand, water, fossils, history, outstanding beauty and relaxation, couldn't ask for anything more. When it rained and was misty the Orme and all the other places looked just as beautiful and sometimes more.

The cottage was a good size in walking distance of the beach making it an enjoyable week.

Perfect position to walk into Llandudno, without the hassle of trying to park your vehicle.

Close to shopping complex, Supermarket and other shops. Only used my car once, to get to the top of the Great Orme, because unfortunately the tram was not in use. The bungalow had everything we needed, DVD player, and even down to the play station and games for my grandson, Could not fault it.!!!!!

Very pleased with the accommodation.

Comfortable and clean. Plenty of space for a group of 5 people. Variety of cleansing products provided. Smart tv with Netflix and plenty of DVDs to watch.. Nearby a local shop and an Asda store only a bit further. Could walk to the promenade. Provided everything you needed in the kitchen. Only disappointment for my husband, was no coffee maker. Would definitely go back.

went in December in cold weather.

Fob for boiler welded to front door key.When you go out you take the fob with you and boiler has no power. When you return bungalow cold. Back door key chained to back door so you cannot leave via back door and lock door . owner penny pinching spoiled holiday came home early which saved him money on gas. Was Wednesday when we came home feel i should be reimbursed for this. Also bungalow very cold and damp on arrival.

This cottage is well placed in Llandudno, close to town and the sea front.

We have had a lovely stay; the owner was lovely and friendly. The cottage was comfortable and well equipped with books, DVDs, and games. There was also cleaning equipment available if you needed it. We had a great walking holiday, and visited lots of places, including Plas Newydd, Conway Castle, Bodnant Gardens, and Betws y coed. We loved it so much we have already booked for next year.

Superb cottage, the best we have ever stopped in.

Very homely and clean. Comfortable beds & sofas. Great garden for our dog to play in. Central for all amenities - essential as we don't drive. Only bad thing was having to leave!

Our holiday included a lot of walking/hiking, it was really lovely to have somewhere to come back to of an evening where we could relax and enjoy family times, such as preparing and eating meals together, playing the family games provided by the owners.

Beds were so comfortable and cottage very clean, it was good to have leisurely mornings together. Our work shifts often mean we don't get much time to do these things as a family and Maesdu Cottage was the perfect setting for these moments, it really did feel like home.

We had a very comfortable holiday, we relaxed from opening the door to coming home.

It is very central to everything and there was a dog friendly field across the road. We met the owners on the last day due to car trouble, they could not do enough for us for us, we will be going back.

The property is close to all amentities asda around the corner Aldi argos home bargains etc all with in walking distance.

1 min walk to the local pub which does a lovely Sunday lunch booking is advised.beds were very comfortable ps3 in the living room so you won't be bored.all in all perfect property to stay in x

The property is on a main road and therefore tends to suffer from a lot of traffic noise It also could cause nervous drivers problems when reversing into the driveway

Disappointing location for a holiday cottage.

Very comfy, road noise did not disturb us , very quiet at night.

Pub up the road good value for money. Very emjoyable.

The cottage is over sold, it wasn’t as clean as it should be - dusty cupboards, picture rail on stairs, under the settee (we found sweet papers underneath, a dog ball, wrapping from a fidget spinner and parts of toys) the top of the fridge was dusty.

It was very damp and the dehumidifier in the bedroom hadn’t been emptied. The garden was lovely, adequate parking and the heating is excellent.

Lovely clean cottage with everything you need to make it feel like home from home. The location was perfect, within walking distance of the shops and the beach which meant we didn't need to use the car whilst there. Booked again already for the same time next year, staying at the owners other property next door, thought we'd try this one just for a change.
