Lovely comfortable property.

Easily accessed and within reach of everything on Anglesey and the north of mainland Wales Good quality fittings. Our only problem is that we both have mobility issues and the step from outside to the twin bedroom and the step down to the lounge was difficult . Both these could be easily improved: adding another external step to the bedroom (ie 2 steps up) and another hang rail for going down / up between the kitchen area and the lounge would help, The bedside lamp in the double room was odd and there were no instructions. Couldn't use the bath as we couldn't safely get in. Maybe some steps? These would also help shorter guests reach the top of kitchen cupboards. Maybe baking tray could be added and even a plug in USB socket ... both very cheap. Would have hoped to see a mention of problems that might face people with mobility issues. Regards Patti

Lovely peaceful property.

Great place to recharge our batteries and explore the Island from. The owner was really helpful with advice on places to visit.

If you like beautiful views, absolute quiet & good accommodation then this is for you. There were a few issues with the heating & hot water however Owain (owner) sorted these out. Due to having no light pollution the stars @ night were fantastic.

We spent a week at the cottage when the weather was very cold and a little snow one day.

We were so comfortable there in front of a roaring log fire and a wonderful view from the large patio windows. The cottage was lovely and warm, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed and ideally situated to see all the wonders of Anglesey. We enjoyed our stay so much and would definitely stay again. Owain was very kind and checked on us when it snowed. Thank you Owain for leaving us some welcome goodies too, much appreciated.

A lovely relaxing week, close to all areas of Anglesey.

If you want rest and relaxation this is the ideal place. Owners very helpful. We’ve loved our week there.

The property is well equipped and in a superb location with a wonderful view of Snowdonia, this enhances the lovely shared garden along with total peace and quiet to help you relax.

The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful if you need any assistance or advice. The only minor things I would note are that the temperature of the hot water was scalding and could do with being turned down; also the thermostatic shower control was defective and could not be adjusted to make the shower cooler. My party all enjoy hot showers so it wasn’t really a problem for us. Would definitely return again.

Lovely location.

Basically a nice property but tired. We found the settee and double bed uncomfortable. The facilities were ok but we did not get the log burner starter kit, nor loo roll. It was a good job we brought some with us.

Wi fi internet wasn't secure, heating only came on evening and morning so if you decided to stay in if it rains then cottage is cold and heating is in the cost of holiday Microwave was rusty along the bottom

We loved our stay here, everything was perfect and the host provided swift assistance where required.

The only problem we encountered was with the central heating. The radiator in the kids room didn’t work. The external combi boiler lost pressure a couple of times meaning there was no heating or hot water momentarily, but this was promptly resolved. Lovely location, we’d definitely recommend and would stay here again without hesitation.

This cottage was a total disappointment.

It was far from clean. The fittings x fixtures were in very poor condition. The kitchen cupboards were grubby and there was a cracked glass x broken cafetière . Many light bulbs were not working. The fridge had cracked drawers. All in all far from the best. I question how it’s got the rating it has?

Unfortunately I cannot rate it as other previous guests have, it was adequate, but not amazing, could do with some updating especially the two single beds.

Nice place and good location just need better mainty on the lounge area and the shower.

Drive way was slightly tricky. Big garden but nothing much to do.

Very relaxing and spacious. However, the owners never greeted us and there were no instructions! My wife & I felt this was very rude and unprofessional!!!

Cottage was in a quiet location but close to all amenities. Very many and varied walking routes all around the island make it ideal for an outdoor holiday.

Bwthyn Gwyn is a lovely character cottage.

It’s tastefully decorated and furnished throughout. The kitchen is well equipped with everything needed for self catering. We found the house clean and very comfortable. The log burner was an added bonus,we were warm throughout our stay during January/February. Outside there’s a private patio area over looking a large garden with distant views of the mountains. Although in a rural location it is only a few minutes away from Menai and Llangefni to stock up on provisions or dine out. Some of the most beautiful beaches are close by too. The cottage is an excellent base for discovering the island. The owner is very kind and friendly but not intrusive. We would highly recommend this lovely cottage.

Perfect short break, great property, great location, would recommend

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bwthyn Gwyn, the cottage is comfortable and well equipped and furnished, and is in a quiet and peaceful location overlooking a large garden.

It is easy to reach all parts of Anglesey from here. The owner is very helpful, and I am more than happy to recommend this accomodation.

Fabulous stay at Bwthyn Gwyn lovely cottage in beautiful countryside close to many interesting places to visit and great coastline for sea or nature enthusiasts.

This was our 2nd visit to Bwthyn Gwyn and was just as enjoyable as the last time we visited 2 years ago.

The cottage is in a fantastic position for exploring Anglesey with easy access to the A55 yet so very quiet and peaceful. It has beautiful views from the picture window across the countryside, a decking area which we did not use but would be great in warmer weather. Inside the cottage was warm and welcoming with the added bonus of a log burner making it very comfortable after being out all day. The kitchen is well equipped if you want to prepare meals, a big bathroom with a bath & shower with plenty of hot water. The double bedroom is lovely and we slept so well. The owners welcomed us on arrival and were available if needed but not intrusive. We would highly recommend this cottage for a holiday on the island and hope to return for a 3rd visit!

Accomodation was very nice, comfortable and lovely quiet location.

Only thing we noticed is there were parts that were not very clean. Handle of fridge door looked like something had been spilt in it, was brown and sticky. A lot of the cupboard doors had little splashes on and dust in the ridges, as if not wiped down regularly. we brought out a large frying pan than looked like it hadn't been washed properly and just put away, same as some cutlery. We just ended up washing everything before we used it. Everything else was fine, just think a bit more care could have been taken in the kitchen to make sure it was all clean, especially in these covid times.

Ideal for travelling to all parts of the Island.

The holiday cottage was in a great location for exploring all that Anglesey has to offer.

There are plenty of amenities and shops nearby in Menai & Llangefni which is handy. The holiday cottage was clean and comfortable and our 4 year old loved the large garden. The hosts were very helpful with any queries. Would love to stay again in the future.

Peaceful and comfortable

We had a wonderful time in your lovely peaceful cottage and were able to visit so many beautiful places from there.

We wouldn't hesitate in recommending it and hope one day to be able to come again. Thank you for your kind hospitality and warm welcome.

Certain kitchen essentials were missing.

No scissors or wooden spoons. We believe there should be larger wine glasses. The double bed had an end at the foot of the bed which is not good for people over six feet tall. Therefore I had to sleep diagonally across the bed which is not good for your partner.

Xmas stay had a few special treats, many thanks to the owners.

This holiday was very good.

It is 8 years since we stayed there and it was as comfortable and quiet as it was then. We were able to go out and about and do the things we wanted to. Also, despite what we were told, it doesn't always rain in Wales. We had nice sunny days for 12 out of the 14 days we were there.

This was our 4th visit to Bwthyn Gwyn which is a very comfortable cottage situated in a lovely peaceful spot.

There is everything you require including a warm welcome from the owners. There are a variety of places to visit from historic houses to beaches. The Coastal Path offers lots of opportunities for scenic walks. We enjoyed our stay despite the weather.

The only problem we found was as we were aware that the owner had 2 dogs we did not realize that they would be using the communal garden as a toilet not ideal if you had children

Beautiful setting with views of Snowden behind the trees.

Decking to sit out on,complete with bbq. Everthing you need to unwind and an ideal base to explore the beautiful island of Anglesey and all it has to offer. Just hope there's a week available 16th July.

FRIENDLY OWNERS LIVE NEXTDOOR WITH 2 FRIENDLY LABRADOR DOGS. aLL MOST WELCOMING.tHIS IS THE SECOND TIME MY FAMILY HAS USED SYKES AND WOULD USE AGAIN.

The location was super, very convenient to get around Anglesey and see all the beautiful locations.

Great location, lovely cottage, we had a wonderful relaxing holiday

Owner greeted us on arrival and showed us how to operate heating and appliances, we enjoyed our daily visit from the owners dogs.

The cottage was delightful and very quiet and the location was ideal for getting easily to anywhere on the island. Would definitely recommend to others.

Bwthyn Gwyn is a beautiful cottage, it really exceeded our expectations, it is in a lovely rural location, and the views very relaxing!

The accommodation has lot's of character, and a very welcoming feel. It was 'just what the Doctor ordered', in a peaceful area, and a very good base for exploring Anglesey. The owners are friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed playing with their dog Star and feeding the ducks. It's a real gem of a cottage, and we are planning to return next year!!!

Mr Evans (the owner) is such a nice welcoming person.

He left a tray of Welsh goodies for us on our arrival. He put two Christmas trees up and cut wood for the fire for us. This is the third Christmas we have rented this cottage it is so cosy warm and it's very relaxing being so quiet. It's central for all journeys around North Wales. Always clean and tidy with wonderful comfortable beds. The kitchen is well equipped. The views from the living room are wonderful. We have already looked up the prices for next year. The family were extremely helpful - the cottage was ideal, clean, well decorated, well equipped and comfortable.

Due to domestic circumstances sadly we had to leave early but hope to return soon.

The cottage was perfect for what we needed.

Our goal was to climb Snowdon and walk surrounding areas which we did and the cottage was lovely and warm to come back to with all the facilities we needed. If we do Snowdon again in the near future we would definitely book the cottage again.
