3 Alma Terrace

We had a lovely stay for 3 nights here in LLanfairfechan.

we would definitely return with my 6 and 10 year old. Perfect stay close to a beaches. really lovely setting too.

Personal preference, I didn’t like the bare boards upstairs, l appreciate it’s a look, but not for me, too noisy.

Enjoyed my stay otherwise.

A nice size of cottage & a good base to stay.

However, there were issues. Firstly, I don't know how long the front door will last, but it stuck so badly, when you were pushing or pulling to open the door, it buckled. All of the paintwork at the front was peeling off & looked tatty. There's a drainage hole by the front gate, my husband fell down it after walking the dog one night. Then the interior: paint peeling off the walls; kitchen doors need repainting. The rugs in the bedrooms are way too small & while it's nice to see bare floorboards, lots of them are loose & there are big gaps between. The light fitment in the bathroom is a normal light fitment - not safe for a steamy bathroom. The shower cubicle is so tiny, I managed a couple of showers, but my disabled husband had to strip wash, as he also can't use a bath. Then there was the waste bin debacle! The instructions for the general waste said to find a bin with a number 3 on it for the general waste. We never found it. Somewhere down the road isn't good enough. You need to know where the bin is to be found - up the hill? By the pub? Next to the bridge? Outside number 1, 4, 6 or whatever?! Just say clearly where to find it. The lights in the living room are on separate switches at both ends of the room. We were switching on & off for 10mins & the front light ended up off all week. It initially flickered all night, so got switched off (we tried swapping bulbs from one to another & back again), then from mid week, it just stopped working altogether. The walls & bannister rails need a good scrub. The furniture & accessories is a mish-mash, nothing matches. The gas fire is just for show. Only half the toaster works, my husband wanted cereals anyway! The whole place just needs stripping out, redecorating, updating & some furniture & light fitments that work, match & are legal. We've stayed in good few Sykes cottages & returned to some. We didn't have much money to play with this year, but wish we could have stayed at one of our previous properties. This one could be a little gem, but it needs a lot of TLC to bring it up to the standard of places we've previously stayed.

Many other places within easy reach. Short walk to the beach. Many amenities in the village too.

It’s got everything you could possibly need and is deceptively spacious but also cosy- the heating is brilliant, just what you need in North Wales!! Great location for walks and to the beach, as well as other parts of Eyri. We’d definitely stay here again!

Lovely terrace, lots of space.

Everything is there you’d need, pots, pans, utensils etc.

Lovely cosy cottage, well equipped, all the important things were spot on, ie hot water, cleanliness, well equipped kitchen.

Couple of minor points, bring slippers in the winter as the tiled floor is cold and the fridge is very small. Lots to do in this area, or a short drive away. Would recommend and would come again.

3 Alma Terrace is a homely and comfortable holiday home, in a great location on the north Wales coast.

We had a lovely time there, the cottage was well stocked with everything we needed, it was warm and inviting after a chilly Welsh day! Josh the owner was quick to respond when we had a query and was really helpful, so we'd thoroughly recommend it for anyone wanting a base to explore the area. It's close to Snowdonia, Anglesey, and Llandudno so lots to see and do.

A real home from home will book again next time we are in North Wales.

Lovely wee terraced cottage within a nice and historic part of Wales.

Plenty to see and do. Promenade and sea walks not too far away. Washing machine a great asset within this cottage.

We have just returned from a lovely stay at 3 Alma Terrace!

As 2 adults and 2 children (11 & 13) we were very comfortable in this cottage. It was clean and incredibly well stocked with everything you could possibly need in the kitchen! Our boys also enjoyed the PS4 in the livingroom, and we all appreciated the Smart TVs which allowed us to access our own Netflix etc. accounts for family film evenings. The cottage is walking distance from a Co-op, the beach and 2 pubs and easy driving distance from some stunning walks. Highly recommend the Aber falls circular as well as a circular starting from Conwy, taking in both coast and hills! We were very spoilt with the weather and had a fantastic short stay, would highly recommend this cottage, which is very reasonably priced for what you get. Thanks to the owners!

A lovely cosy cottage in a good location.

It was just me and my dog. Great for a couple or small family. Close to all the local walks and beach, so ideal for just heading off on foot for the day. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge.The Wi-Fi seemed ok. I got a prompt response from the friendly owner, who efficiently dealt with a question I had on arrival. The shower cubicle is quite small and the shower water pressure low. It only has a shower curtain. Overall all though, I felt the cottage gave me a big hug.

Couldn’t fault the cottage.

Really enjoyed our stay at Alma terrace.

It had everything we needed for our weeks stay.Comfortable and warm and I loved the vintage furniture.Shower could have been bigger as it was tight squeeze and you had to battle with the shower curtain to stop the water going on the floor.Enjoyed the breakfast at the seagrass cafe and it was dog friendly.!!.The pubs on the street did not do food which was a shame but both were friendly Virginia inn particularly

A lovely place to stay, love the character of Alma terrace it had all the facilities we needed.

Close to shops, beach and pub. Train station is close so we left the car and used the train for our visits to Llandudno, Conway and Rhyl, only used the car to go to Snowdon which is 25 minutes away. We walked to Aber falls which was lovely. We would definitely stay again thank you.

The cottage is dated, but comfortable and clean.

However, the bathroom needs updating - the electric shower is tiny and not accessible to anyone with mobility issues or who is not very slim. The shower did not work. It could not be adjusted from either freezing cold to scolding hot. When I informed the owner, I was told it could not be fixed for our stay and 'it's a shame you can't use the bath'!! I have mobility issues but the bath does not have mixer taps nor a shower head fitting, so it would not 'obviously' be 'the solution' as suggested by the owner for anyone! No offer of compensation was made.

A simply furnished cottage, if not a little old fashioned, positioned in a lovely village.

Great place to travel out from to local towns & for sight seeing. Kitchen had everything you could need, clean and tidy. There is a very small yard to the rear with the river running along the back. Easy to access the property and was parking available on the road. Fair price for what we paid and was able to take the dog.

Once again, we enjoyed a lovely holiday at this cottage.

The area has plenty to see and do. The cottage is a great base to see North Wales from. It is a lovely cottage, clean, cosy and everything you could need to make your stay an enjoyable one. We've already booked for next year! We would highly recommend this cottage for your holiday.

Dirty damp and mould everywhere

Lovely cosy warm and clean cottage, just right for two adults and two children.

Very responsive and helpful owner, two issues (both our fault) quickly and pleasantly resolved with no fuss. Situation is excellent for touring North Wales, we had no trouble parking outside the cottage, boys very grateful for the Play Station!, and we all had a very enjoyable short holiday in Wales.

We thought the cottage was great, well equipped and the owners appeared very thoughtful in terms of equipment , accessories needed for a home from home stay .

Llanfairfechan has pubs, , shops , co op , nisa and plenty of independent shops and local butcher . It’s a short walk/drive to the promenade and beach from the cottage and a short drive to the North Wales expressway ( A55 ) so it’s pretty much central to other towns , cities etc to explore and enjoy . We had a great stay at the cottage and would stay here again

Arrived at the cottage to find it had not been cleaned and bed had not been made up.

The owner contacted the cleaning company and a cleaner arrive at just after 5pm. Both apologised and I was refunded £50. There was also a problem with the gas fire which has been disconnected. I spent some time trying to light it when I contacted the owner she suggested I should have seen it was disconnected as there was a sign on it. The sign was the size of a cheese triangle and had been pushed under the fire so was not visible. The cottage itself is lovely and in a good position for exploring surrounding the The first day of my holiday was spoilt due to stress of finding the cottage had not been cleaned and I was unable to explore in daylight as I would normally on the first day. The owner although responded quickly was quite rude in her response to me when I told her the first day of my holiday had been ruined suggesting I should be satisfied with an apology from her and the cleaner and £50 refund.

Everything we needed was provided in the clean, comfortable and deceptively spacious house. Well located for day trips to Conwy, Llandudno and Anglesey and I must mention the Riverside Cafe breakfast and The Jolly Fryer fish & chips, both absolutely gorgeous.

The only issues were the tiny shower cubicle and the cottage feels a bit dark and dated downstairs, but it more than accommodated our needs last week.

(Ps we were worried about locking ourselves out with the type of key we had too)

This delightful cottage exceeded our expectations!

Spotlessly clean and thoughtfully equipped with everything we could need and more besides. The pretty location is close the the beach and mountains, plus an abundance of places to visit. We will definitely be returning!

Cottage smelt a bit musty when I arrived Central heating wasn't set to come on - unseasonably cold May so would have liked that option Couldn't get the lounge fire to light after four days!

? Everything was OK so no real complaints - my only 'real' negative is that the lighting in the kitchen was paltry - it was difficult to see what I was doing, and in fact I could never tell whether the light was on or not unless I checked!

We had a wonderful stay.

Amazing place, really clean and tidy, best location in Wales, we definitely recommend this place is close to every where, beach mountains,jungle, lots of places left to explore for next time, we will back again soon
