    “We were very impressed with The Barn, it's probably the nicest stay cation we've ever done.”

    The barn is clean and comfortable and the fittings you can tell are high end which is of course reflected in the price, it's been done beautifully. We made use of the use of the gym and the washing machine on site both of which are great additions, a couple of mats would have been perfect to stretch on. The barn has pretty much everything you need, including hand soap in the kitchen which I think is always missing everywhere else! Basics like tea, sugar, coffee and milk come free and the owners ...

    The barn is clean and comfortable and the fittings you can tell are high end which is of course reflected in the price, it's been done beautifully. We made use of the use of the gym and the washing machine on site both of which are great additions, a couple of mats would have been perfect to stretch on. The barn has pretty much everything you need, including hand soap in the kitchen which I think is always missing everywhere else! Basics like tea, sugar, coffee and milk come free and the owners were kind enough to set the hot tub to a lower setting for me due to pregnancy so we maximised the use of this! Space for one car right outside and the smart TV allows for you to login to all your usual accounts. The bathroom is equipped with everything you need which was lovely. There is a BBQ outside but sadly we didn't have the weather otherwise this would have been perfect! Location is good if you're happy to drive everywhere and enjoy being in the country, it was very easy to find. Only two things that would have been great for us as extra would be an electric charging station on site, we have an electric car so an attachment on the side of the property would have been perfect and due to the length of stay we wished that more toilet rolls and dishwasher tablets could have been provided. Other than that we would definitely stay again!

Cemaes Bay 1.5 miles; Holyhead 15 miles.

Llanfechell is a small village situated one and a half miles from Cemaes Bay, on the northern tip of Anglesey in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village gets its name from the nearby 12th century Mechell Church, which has been extended over the years and where it is believed that St Mechell is buried. The ancient Parys mountain copper mines are seven miles away, with their lunar-like landscape and the area is popular with geologists and archaeologists due to the rock formations at Mechell Mountain and the several ancient monuments scattered around, reputed to be some of the oldest in the world. Llanfechell is home to a village pub, which serves traditional ale with a warm welcome. Nearby, the pretty seaside village of Cemaes Bay is home to three pubs, a few shops, a natural sheltered harbour and a sandy beach, edged by grassy cliffs and ideal for safe bathing and family fun. The whole of the Isle of Anglesey is renowned for its miles of stunning and varied coastline, offering wonderful walking and cycling opportunities, along with birdwatching, excellent watersports, fishing and many quality golf courses.
