The Hawthorns

All our party loved this house, from my 87 year old mum to my 3 year old great nephew!

It was a home from home. A high standard of cleanliness and comfort throughout, a well-equipped kitchen, lovely sitting and dining area. We spent a lot of time in the back garden, it was great for our 3 year old to play in and for alfresco dining and a lovely outlook. The house isn't far from the beautiful coast too.

What a lovely house and perfect for families. Stunning facilities and a fantastic peaceful garden overlooking fields and echoing to the sound of...... parrots. :) We had a great time at Anglesey, and the Hawthorns helped make it a memorable holiday for our kids and Grandkids. Ensuite for the adults and a smashing bathroom for the kids bath time. The open plan living, cooking and dining area with the doors opening to the garden made a great social area, and the facilities and fittings were perfect. You will not be disappointed. Very impressive. The neighbours were also so friendly. From next door to the local shop down the road, everyone was so friendly. Within a short walk you have a well stocked local shop, a village pub and a brilliant kids park. We'll definitely be back and cannot recommend this wonderful house enough. Thank you.

We were very comfortable in the bungalow.

There was plenty of information on the area available which was helpful. I would suggest maybe for people who don't know the island and coming in from North Wales to take the A5025 road to the bungalow - it was a far easier route. Our maps took us through the middle of the island where the roads were more single track.

lovely house very well appointed and clean which made for a nice weeks holiday the beds were a bit soft for us but thats not a criticism we just like a hard mattress in a very nice quiet area really enjoyed our stay

Beautiful bungalow of a high standard.

Everything you need and more with 3 quality bathrooms. I visited with my elderly mother and sister who has mobility issues and they found it very accessible and comfortable. All in all a very good holiday.

The bungalow was lovely and clean, home from home feeling.

The garden was secure and safe for the doggy. We sat outside quite a lot on the chairs outside, definitely an added extra in the nice weather.

It was obvious alot of thought had gone into the decoration and all high spec. It was also lovely and clean and parking easy too. Lovely garden for the dog and a real suntrap to relax in. Would definately recommend a stay here.

We really enjoyed our stay so we decided to stay an extra week.

The bungalow is lovely and has everything you need. There is only one tv though. We'll be booking up again for next year.

Beautiful bungalow but missing some necessities for me.

The purpose of our stay was to meet up with family on days and evenings out. Missing for me was “Full stand mirror, some form of lighting to do hair and makeup with a decent mirror not so high up on the wall (only place was on a set of tall drawers in a dark corner of the bedroom (first room on right of hall) no plug in the en-suite bathroom, reading light switch at side of bed in wrong position, you had to get out of your bed to switch ceiling reading light off or on. Needs a free standing reading lamp.) as I said was a lovely bungalow but some comforts missing for me.

The Hawthorns was a lovely house and catered for our needs for the short time (3 nights) we stayed.

The bedrooms are a decent size and have a good size wardrobe and dresser in them. Two of the rooms are ensuite whilst the third bedroom has the main bathroom which also was of a good size and beautifully decorated. The Kitchen/Lounge/Diner was cosy for our group of Five adults and one dog, but it had everything we required to make our stay comfortable. The lack of a hair dryer in the property was missed as was blinds at the bedroom windows, to help with privacy when the curtains were open. I happily recommend this property to future holiday makers, but would add it is a little out of the way. Having said that it did not spoil our enjoyment of the house or the Island.

Beautiful property well appointed and looked after

Nice position for getting about using the car.

Great to have good parking on drive. A comfortable stay, although the layout for watching the extra large tv screen is not ideal. We chose The Hawthorns as two of our party have mobility issues, and loved that it was a bungalow, with lots of options re bathrooms. However, it was disappointing that neither of the en-suite showers, or the separate bath has grab rails. Something that could be easily remedid. It might be worth mentioning that there are high steps both front and back entrances.

Heating had minor issues insofar as the radiators in the bedrooms did not come on (reported, but we didn't t have need for them).

The property was very comfortable and was an ideal location for exploring the island. The tranquility of the garden was a great asset. A very pleasant stay, happy to recommend and indeed return.

Gorgeous house with everything you could possibly need.

Beautifully clean. The outside space was perfect and fabulous for early morning coffee. It was very quiet and peaceful.

Comfortable spacious bungalow.

Fully equipped with plenty of utensils and crockery. Good parking space in a quiet location. Lucky with weather so able to sit in the garden for morning coffee and evening drinks! Would love to visit again as such lovely places to visit not far from the property.

Lovely detached bungalow in a quiet cul-de-sac.

A great base for exploring Anglesey. A really clean, excellent equipped property. Lovely decor with modern facilities. Beautiful views from the enclosed back garden. Would definitely recommend and also stay again if we were in the area. Thank you

Fantastic bathroom, garden, kitchen, and living area, along with very spacious and comfortable bedrooms.

A lovely, well equipped bungalow, suitable for all ages & dog, in a peaceful, friendly village.

Lovely views from the garden & we enjoyed having sheep as our neighbours. We had a lovely stay, with lots of interesting places to visit locally. We would definitely recommend this property and would love to come back. The only issues we had was the cooking hob was temperamental, going on & off. Also the radiators in the living area weren’t working properly and we couldn’t seem to work them out. However this didn’t spoil our lovely holiday in a beautiful home.

Don't judge a book by its cover.

Looks like an ordinary bungalow from the outside, but open the door and wow, what a surprise. Beautifully referbished property, great place to spend a holiday only 5 minutes drive from the sea. Can't fault it. Only slight comment, would be nice to have TV in the bedroom, but who wants to be in the bedroom when there's such a lovely living area. Thanks for a great property would definitely come back, even the neighbours were lovely.

We’ve been renting worldwide for 45+ years and this is far and away this best, well equipped property we have rented.

We have just returned from our 3 night stay.

The property is beautiful and very well equipped. There was nothing we needed that wasn’t there. The weather was very nice on the Saturday.. lovely to sit out in the garden and play games with our grown up family and their partners whilst enjoying our afternoon buffet for the kings coronation. The shower in the double room nearest the main bathroom leaks into the bedroom along the skirting board and onto the carpet. Our daughter noticed this straight away.. and we didn’t use it again they just shared our main bathroom shower. There was a number to contact, but it wasn’t a bit deal so just left a little note for the cleaner. Overall.. fantastic weekend in a lovely property with countryside views from the garden… so peaceful and relaxing. We will definitely be returning again.. think we have found a little gem

Fabulous property in a quiet cul de sac.

Very tastefully decorated to a high standard. Everything you need in a kitchen was supplied but I would suggest either a coffee machine or a much larger caffietere as the one provided is only enough for two. We were very lucky with the weather and got to sit out in the garden overlooking the fields and enjoying the peace and quiet.
