Although the property is listed as dog friendly, in my opinion it isn't.

Firstly, the stairs are wooden with no grip at all, and my dog fell down them twice. Also, the garden is too big and you can't keep an eye on dogs as it goes around the corner. The fence isn't secure near the driveway, and a dog could easily get through it.

Beautiful property.

No complaints. Things that ground have deffo helped would to have had a set of instructions on how to work the cooker, heating etc. it was a very hot day and the bathroom radiator was on full heat, we had no idea how to turn it down or off. Also the hot tub being out of use for the last full day was a disappointment

2nd time we have been to this beautiful cottage perfect in every way we be back again soon 100% recommend this lovely property

We had a fantastic stay at this lovely two-bedroom cottage in the heart of the Welsh countryside.

The property was exactly as described, in excellent condition, spotlessly clean and really well equipped with all the facilities and accessories we needed for our family of four. Waking up to the sound of birds and sheep each morning was an absolute joy, and the peaceful rural setting made it a perfect place to unwind. The only small request we would make is for the hot tub to be set a little warmer, but otherwise we had no complaints at all and would definitely love to stay here again.

We had an amazing stay in Briws cottage, it was spotless, the beds were so comfy and the facilities were great.

We drove into Llangollen and Bala lake, each were about a 20 minute drive from the cottage but well worth it. I’ve already recommended this cottage to family and friends and wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

We loved every moment of our holiday, the cottage was beautiful , the surroundings are beautiful.

The owners even made our stay better by decorating with a Christmas tree etc. Cannot fault it ,and the hot tub is checked by staff to ensure its safe samples etc . Would recommend people to spend a day at Bala and the train ride at Cowen well worth the money.

Fantastic stay, lovely little cottage.

Couldn’t find a fault with the accommodation. My only observation was it’s a shame the shed is placed where it is, as it blocks the lovely view from the jacuzzi. Would definitely stay here again. Great host, was super helpful. We did struggle to light the fire as there was no lighter but we got there in the end with some help off the hob and a skewer. Overall a lovely stay, peaceful, felt very safe, stunning views! Thanks!

Lovely cottage and the boys loved the huge garden. All the pots pans and cutlery you need. Really comfy beds. Love the BBQ and Log fire. Hot tub makes it top class.

This is the second time we have been to this lovely cottage and we think it’s perfect, very cosy and homely and in the bad weather the underfloor heating is a bonus!

Stunning cottage in a beautiful location, me, my partner, 1 year old and my dog stayed here for a week from 13th-20th December.

We wanted to sight see quite a lot of Wales so wanted to stay somewhere that wasn’t to long of drives to get to each place. You can get to most places if you want to travel Wales in about 45m-1h, we also drove to Chester Zoo for my daughter’s 1st birthday and this was about an hour away. Each drive was a beautiful scenic drive! The cottage was clean and comfy and was even decorated for Christmas! Hot tub was amazing and the garden is huge for our dog that we took! Communication was great, if I ever needed anything, I could just call or text. We will be coming back to your cottage one day, thank you! X

Wonderful cottage with all the facilities that you could want, the hot tub was lovely after a long day sight seeing.

Wi-fi could be better but I guess that's just down to the area where the cottage is situated. Will be looking to return in the near future.

This is a great base for exploring North Wales. This place is absolutely lovely! I have already booked a return for next year.

Absolutely loved Briws cottage nice and cozy with a massive back garden for the kids and Bonnie the miniature poodle to play in.

The hot tub was great clean and well maintained. This is a great location to visit all parts of Wales. Would definitely recommend visiting we will be back in summer can’t wait.

If it’s possible to move the shed across that would be a big positive, As the view is amazing and the shed does block most of it when in the hot tub.

Cottage was clean & comfortable.

The Hot tub was lovely but we think it should have been available to use on our last night as it being out of bounds from 12.30 on the last full day seems a bit excessive. Understand with the location it's perhaps difficult but the TV was disappointing - didn't have channel 1 or 3 and ITV hub wouldn't work and all channels seemed to buffer or freeze a lot. Wi-fi a bit slow but again, perhaps the location doesn't help that. We also think a nice addition would be to have a shelf in the shower. The log basket for the wood burner may be better kept outside as there were a lot of huge spiders. All in all though, a great stay.

Lovely location and property.

The hot tub made the stay for us! We did feel we could smell damp in the lounge and hallway. There was some mould on the walls in the top bedroom. There was a wardrobe but no coat hangers! The details said a utility room but this was an outside room not part of the house so a little misleading. The hot tub was fantastic and hot every day with no issues but the shed spoilt the view. If you moved it out of the way it would be 10/10!! Beautiful location though and lovely site.

We had a lovely stay here, the scenery is stunning and the cottage had everything we needed.

I did find it a bit disappointing that we're unable to use the hot tub on the final night and wondered if there was anyway to change this? I also feel it's a shame the shed has been put up in front of the hot tub as this blocks the otherwise stunning views from the hot tub. All in all a lovely stay and friendly host.

Lovely cottage with a fabulous hot tub, we had a great week.

Located in a beautiful spot. It would have been useful to have more chopping boards and further clothes storage in the main bedroom, the wifi is also a little slow, which is expected given the location. However, overall this is a really great cottage and we’re planning a return visit!

The garden and hot tub are beautiful with amazing views. We had rented Granar too and it was nice and easy nipping between the two accommodations.

Our stay was nice enough and the location was nice.

For the price we paid I'd have expected things like towels etc included, seems a bit tight not to. The bed and sofa aren't overly comfortable and the kitchen table is tricky to get 4 people at. Overall everything was fine but it's little touches it was missing. Plus the WiFi is utterly useless which makes watching TV impossible too.

The views were incredible and the hot tub was a luxury we looked forward to at the end of the day. Would highly recommend this large cottage.

This is a fantastic property with beautiful views of the Welsh countryside.

It's a shame the shed blocks some of the beautiful views but you can live with that! Especially when you are gazing up at the stars instead in the evening! We have stayed here before and it's a fabulous place. Sadly it wasn't quite as clean this time round. The floors could have done with hoovering and mopping (we are a shoes off and live in socks or bare feet family, so we really noticed the muck) and the bathroom needed a good deep clean. But apart from that, absolutely joyful. You need to change the listing as there is no dvd player for the TV and the Freeview TV channels are hit & miss and all over the place. But it was Christmas week when we stayed so plenty of games to be playing instead and lovely walks to go on. Would absolutely recommend this property to everyone as it's such a lovely place and generally well cared for. We would love to return one day.

Amazing place, so clean and warm and the hot tub was fabulous even in a snow storm.

Had difficulty getting out due to snow and ice on drive, but a quick chat with owner and it was sorted, brilliant, would highly recommend this beautiful place, so so much satisfied with everything.

We had a blast of a week exploring North Wales.

The good weather was a bonus! The cottage was lovely. Great location, clean and tidy and well equipped. We loved relaxing the hot tub after being out and about during the day. Definitely one of our best holidays to date. We would love to return in the near future. Many thanks

I don't know where to start, best place we have ever stayed on holiday!

There are a number of holiday cottages on site and we were in awe, they are all finished to the highest standard and surrounded by gorgeous, postcard-perfect scenery. You are surrounded by wildlife, we saw bats, swallows, the sheep and lambs, cows, and even saw a hare! The cottage was absolutely spotless. It felt spacious yet very cosy. There were even mini football goals in the garden outside, we had so much fun! The location was perfect for exploring all of North wales, its very central, and a scenic drive to get everywhere. I can't recommend highly enough. And the hot tub.....what a bonus! We loved it all, the owners have clearly spent a lot of time and money here and it shows. I was sad leaving, can't wait to come back.

Beautiful accommodation and location, and the weather was fantastic. Hot tubs were a superb addition and these were well maintained, but done so discreetly. Owners were welcoming and extremely accommodating. Great location and look forward to returning.

Had a wonderful relaxing week here which for March we could not have had better weather.

Underfloor heating meant we never lit the log fire but it would be handy if there was a box of matches. Really enjoyed the hot tub but were not told it was drained and refilled on Thursday so we could not use it on the last night. Really good and will definitely come again.

Beautiful cottage with very clean facilities.

Only small issues was a lack of a personal touch. In other cottages we had stayed in, there was a local welcome pack like Welsh cake or bread. And also guides or pamphlets of local things to do. Also had trouble with the heating system, seemed to be locked and it got very hot in the evenings, even in Feb. Views were amazing from the hot tub and everything we needed was there. Would stay again.

What an absolutely fabulous place !

! We went for Christmas and were not disappointed! It's absolutely beautiful. The facilities are wonderful, including the hottub! The area is lovely and quiet. We spent some lovely evenings in the hottub under the stars. There is everything you could ever need/want in the cottage. The owners have thought of everything. (the only thing missing is a dvd player. We took Christmas movies hoping to watch them over the week but the TV doesn't have a dvd player. Not a big problem....there were so many other things to be doing!!) Beautiful, huge garden for the kids to play in. Very close to Bala and Betws y coed.....perfect for days out. We would 100% recommend this cottage (and the owners) and Sykes to anyone! We are already wondering when we can return! Happy customers. Thank you

Hi, Please feedback to the cottages owners that the place was beautiful, with great views and a great hot tub.

The only slight thing to let it down was very dirty crockery and stuck on food in the pans, which we had to clean thoroughly before using. We believe it because the dishwasher as that was filthy inside too.

Houses are lovely. Hosts are nearby jd anything needed and incredibly friendly. Only thing I’d say is the pictures don’t do the place justice - it really is fab!

Wow what can I say what a beautiful cottage we stayed at the Briws Cottage and it was out of this world so relaxing and homely.

We went out for days out during our stay but it was so nice to go back to the cottage after a fun filled day out and jump in the hot tub and unwind whilst our boys played football in the garden. We will definitely be booking Briws again for our next vacation.

Briws is situated in the perfect location to explore mid to North Wales.

This was our second visit and we would definitely visit again. The cottage is clean with good facilities to make it an enjoyable, pleasant stay.

Our only disappointment was not being able to use the hot tub on our last full day. This was apparently due to Covid 19 so couldn’t be helped. We had a fabulous stay and would love to visit again.

This is a fabulous cottage, 4 cottages in all but all arranged to give privacy to each one.

The cottage was in great condition with all the facilities you could need.

It was lovely and secluded, so quiet at night. My only slight issue was the ceiling height in the bedroom and having to navigate a lot a stairs when dark and heading to the bathroom in the night. However, it was a beautiful cottage and we had a great stay. Would highly recommend the cottage. The hot tub was great, even in the cold weather. Then getting back indoors in front of the log fire was amazing.

My husband suffers from arthritis and found the settees and bed a bit low to get out of, but that's not the fault of the cottage, we found with 4 of us we could have done with an extra toilet, Otherwise it was excellent

This weekend was important to us to make happy memories for our deceased Mothers 90th birthday.

Well we were not disappointed. Amazing accommodation/facilities, underfloor heating a bonus, however, it was mild this weekend and not really required. Locally we visited Llangollun, Bala and in our return journey Trevor and Lludlow. Beautiful countryside and courteous, friendly locals. All in all fab.

We loved our stay at the cottage, amazing would definitely recommend and am sure we will be back again.

Every year I book a cottage in Wales and I have to say this was the most easiest and beautiful of them all.

Great location with amazing views, it was the week before Christmas so the weather wasnt great but the with being at this lovely cottage it didnt matter. The hot tub was a great hit and spent a lit of time in there along with the burning of the light fire. Owners were very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be staying again. x

Only one moan really needs some bleach or simular around the shower bit off putting when you get in as there is black mould.

Having the log fire and the hot tub was fabulous. I really enjoyed the walk to the top of the hill but I wasn’t completely sure if I was meant to walk up there - information on where to walk from the cottage would be good. We really enjoyed our stay.

The cottage was perfect.

The location was great. The view is stunning and is very relaxing especially in the hot tub with a glass of bubbly. Its close to Snowdonia, and we visited Fairy Glen which was beautiful. And Go Below adventures which was an amazing experience. The cottage is close to a few little towns that has everything you need however there isn't much in Ty Nant, but this is what we wanted Complete relaxation. The cottage was very clean. Very comfortable I would go back in a heartbeat.

The cottage was a little bit chilly as the weather, although beautifully sunny during the day, was very cold at night and due to the heating system, you were not able to change this.

It could also do with a second TV in the twin bedroom. Everything else was great. It was especially good that the hot tub was ready for your arrival as this isn't always the case with short rentals and supplying your first lot of wood for the wood burner was great too.

This is such a beautiful cottage in the most amazing location would recommend highly to anyone to come visit this place.

The walk up the mountain opposite have great views and worth the effort. Baka 14 minutes drive and Conwy around 40 minutes and well worth the drive with castle and smallest house in Britain to expensive. Lovely boat trip too. Great experience and would definitely go back Thank you x

Everything was fantastic.

Really homely, clean and equipped. Also, the hot tub was super and there was a lot of space on the cottage and garden. Beds were very comfy, under floor heating in the bathroom was a nice touch. Altogether, it was a very nice stay.

The cottage was lovely and clean, well looked after and amazing views.

The staff were there when we arrived and very friendly and the hot tub and gas BBQ were both very clean. We would certainly consider staying here again as we loved it....... and the scorching weather was a bonus

The cottage is bigger then I thought which was great as very spacious.

Views from the garden are stunning. Cottage has everything you could need for a break away including the plastic glasses for use in the hot tub. The owner is very attentive and will try her best to help you if you have any queries or concerns. Overall it was a lovely stay and we would defintly recommend it.

Great base for exploring the area, especially by bike with our two children aged 11 and 13 - there is a bike shed for storing bikes.

Wonderful family Christmas week long break.

Cottage was spotless, warm, cosy and welcoming. Beautifully decorated for Christmas and had everything we needed. Loved spending our evenings in the hot tub and the snow made the setting even more magical. Location is a little remote but this was exactly what we wanted. Have already booked one of the other cottages for next year we loved it so much!

The pictures don't do this cottage justice. The underfloor heating is fabulous and the kitchen has everything you will need. The hot tub is perfect. Will definitely be coming back next year

The location was perfect the cottage was fantastic we had a relaxing holiday but if we wanted to be more active there was plenty of walks and activities near by.

The hot tub was excellent i have never known a week to go so fast we loved every minute and will hopefully be returning in the future

Such an amazing property. It met all our self catering needs, we didn't want for anything. We admired the stunning views from relaxing in the hot tub. The location was a little remote - nearest open place for food was a 25min drive away but not an issue to us. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone and have already passed the details on to others. I would like to hope we'll return one day. Im already searching for future skyes cottages to rent!

This cottage was just amazing.

My wife and I with our two young children had the best holiday there. The hot-tub was truly the highlight for us, but it would be doing the accommodation a huge disservice if we said that was the only great thing about this cottage. The underfloor heating made walking bare-foot on the beautifully tiled floors a luxury. The complementary logs for the log-burner in the living room made for a lovely cozy evening in with the wife. The garden was a great size allowing the children to play out and run around in safety. We even flew the kite that was left for us in the garden shed. The owners were lovely. Oh, and did I mention how peaceful it was and how great the view was? The cottage was exactly one year old on the week of our visit, but it still felt brand new. Would we consider going back? Most definitely.
