Fir Tree Cottage

We had a lovely stay at Fir tree apartment, on first arrival we couldn't find the right door to enter the apartment, as it's main entrance is shared with number 4.

. Once discovered we found the apartment clean, well equipped, spacious and well decorated and a great location to explore the surrounding area. There is a Premier shop, Co-op, chippy and pub in the village, all within walking distance. The pub is dog friendly, we ate in there a few times and we found the food of good quality and staff really friendly. Thank you

The approach and outside of the property looked awful. The outside looks really run down and could do with tidying up. If our parents hadn't been staying in Bay Tree where we parked our car, parking would have been extremely difficult with the neighbours car also parked outside Fir Tree. The inside of the Fir Tree was beautiful and everything was provided although the cleaner obviously leaves the dirty wet mop in the cupboard next to the fridge which leaves an unpleasant smell. The sofa is extremely soft and difficult to get off. The bed was very comfortable and the shower room was very well done. It would be useful to have a guest information book like the one in Bay Tree for recommendations of places to eat, go to and information about what's in the cottage. It would also be useful to have a note on recycling and bin collection as we were told by the neighbour that we had missed it so we had to leave it in the bins which my husband had to go and find at the top of the driveway.

We enjoyed our stay in this basic, clean, and well-equipped rental.

It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. However, potential guests should be aware that the driveway is very muddy, which made access difficult—a 4x4 or high-clearance vehicle is highly recommended, especially in wet weather.

Fir Tree Cottage is modern, comfortable and beautifully decorated.

It has everything we needed for a great stay and located right on the edge of the national park- great location. The only thing that could make it better is the outside space, in particular the drive which was very flooded for the whole week we were there.

Kitchen sink wasn’t fit for purpose and the tap was leaking when the tap was turned on, couldn’t get hold of the owners until the end of our holiday which was too late.

Sofa very worn and uncomfortable, stains on sofa and rug. Very dirty windows and exterior of the property. No hairdryer. Apart from that it was a nice place, good location.

The cottage was lovely, clean, comfortable, well equipped and well located we would happily return at some time in the future.

We had an amazing stay at Fir Tree Cottage.

On arrival, we were greeted with a lovely welcome gift which was such a thoughtful touch. The cottage itself was modern, spotless, and very comfortable. The bedrooms were spacious with comfy beds, making it easy to relax after our days out. Having local shops nearby was really handy too, especially for grabbing drinks and bits during our stay. Overall, we had a brilliant time and would highly recommend Fir Tree Cottage to anyone looking for a clean, modern, and welcoming place to stay.

Everything on the whole was ok.

The outside in certain areas could of done with a spruce up ie the giant pile of leaves outside one of the doors, back garden needed weeding. Inside was lovely, only thing that let it down was the sofa. Most uncomfortable and too low, very hard to get up from. Really could do with a new one. Few niggles ie no kitchen towel and only one tea towel. The bed and pillows was really comfortable, nice decor too.

Excellent property, close to attractions.

Good base for hiking Snowdon. We made use of the local bus service which allows you to hike Snowdon on one path and return via another and finish in a different location to the start.

This was a great location to visit northern wales handy to shops and a pub which served good meals.

Would recommend this as a base to use for your holiday.

We stayed for 3 nights as a base for our walk up Snowdonia - the cottage was lovely.

Very tastefully decorated and very clean. Facilities were all very modern and to a really good standard we really enjoyed our stay and could not fault anything ! Even had a peacock sitting outside my bedroom window!! Many thanks for making our stay so nice - Angie

Good morning, we had a fantastic stay at the cottage and would highly recommend a stay there but please try and book through someone other than Sykes.

As during our stay we lost the keys which is completely our fault and we're happy to pay for a set of replacement keys. We've tried to rectify this and contact Sykes via text, email and phone but we have not received a response to our communications. The contact we have had from Sykes didn't acknowledge our messages and threatened us with a charge of up to £200 to replace the locks which is completely disproportionate as the keys gave no indication of the address and there are spare keys. As previously mentioned we're happy to replace the lost keys and this 1 star review is to try and garner a response from Sykes and to close this matter.

Lovely, cozy cottage.

Very clean, more spacious than the pictures led us to expect. Nicely decorated with comfortable beds and lovely bedding. The small welcome basket was great too as we’d left our teabags at home! Ideal base for exploring North Wales or climbing Snowdon.

Goody basket on arrival was a fab surprise and the dogs loved their treats too. Thank you for a great week.

Lovely cottage Well equipped Beautifully clean The only negative we have is that the sofa is very low for seniors to get up from and the cushions are past their best otherwise everything else was perfect.

Kitchen well equipped bathroom lovely and shower so so good. Would visit again if the sofa is replaced

Lovely warm and comfortable cottage.

The Owners have gone to great lengths to ensure that he property has everything required. The cottage is very well situated and there are plenty of things to do locally. Check our Gypsy Wood as a children's adventure park.

Great location for accessing most of north wales, especially Anglesey!

The cottage was lovely, my sister wanted to take her bed home as it was so comfortable!

The shower was excellent and the kitchen really well equipped. Absolutely no complaints!

Maybe just a hairdryer but otherwise a fab stay

Brilliant place to stay with everything we needed, would have been fine for a longer stay and will definitely consider if we return.

Only note would be possibly specifying that the building is shared with No. 4 as even with the instructions sent it was a bit tricky to find No. 1 alongside 2 & 4!

What a hidden gem.

So easy to miss entrance first time around but wow, when you do it is marvellous. Well kept, well designed, just what you need for a nice, relaxing break.

Absolutely beautifully done.

Excellent location to beaches, shops, local fish and chip shop and a pud serving lovely food 5 minutes drive from cottage. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again. Comfortable with everything you would need

We had a lovely stay at Fir Tree Cottage.

The cottage was beautiful, clean and cozy. The cottage is around 10 minute drive from Llanberis Path so perfect location if looking to climb snowdonia. 2 minutes from the Cottage is a local SPAR shop. The owners left a lovely little welcome basket which I loved and my children enjoyed the Welsh cakes.
