Just fabulous.

. loved the privacy and tranquil surroundings.. wonderful walks within 10 minutes drive.. I would definitely recommend a stay here .. a week was not enough

A beautiful and convenient setting for local attractions and walks.

The wood burner was a great help for heating the living room and bedroom where an extremely comfortable bed awaited us after long walks!

The property was in a lovely location with great views only a short drive into Conwy, with a chip shop and a food shop about 2 minutes away.

We meet the owners who were very helpful and were more like old friends the field was a great safe place for the dogs to run around in,if we were in the area again we would stay there again..

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Shippon.

Very comfortable, clean, beautiful location, friendly owners, loved it.

Having stayed at numerous cottages up and down the uk we found the Shippon to be the most comfortable we have stayed in, Andrew and Sarah were very helpful to any needs we had.

the only negative was the narrow roads leading to the accommodation But still 10 out of 10.

We wanted a quite few days away over new year to get away from all the fireworks at home for the dogs.

The whole stay was outstanding from the 1st day to the last day. The accommodation was clean and cosy, the wood burner was fantastic especially in the cold December days. We enjoyed it so much we booked again for same time over Christmas and new year in 2026.

Third time we have stayed at the shippon, peaceful with lovely surroundings.

A very quiet location with beautiful fields all around.

Heating is mostly only effective if you run the log burner, the guest book with telephone numbers to renew stocks of wood were not updated. No answers on messages or calls so we had to go out and purchase bags of logs. The bed was super comfortable but the doorway posts should have some decor to warn you just how low they are. We kept banging our heads throughout the week. The cleanliness of the property was excellent but throughout the week we noticed lots of wood lice dropping in from the wooden rafters, they were everywhere sadly, slightly off putting but after all this is a barn conversion.

This was the best place we've ever stayed, lovely cottage, everything you need, lovely and clean the location is idyllic, peaceful tranquil with amazing views.

Owners welcoming and friendly ensuring we were happy, giving us plenty ideas for walks and visits in and around the surrounding area. A field on hand too to let the dogs run off steam. Absolutely perfect.

Super secluded get away, beautiful quiet surroundings, only minutes away from Conwy and Llandudno for anything you might want.

Lovely well maintained gardens, and even a horse to pat in a nearby field, heaven. Our 3rd time, can’t wait to come again next year, our small dogs loved the freedom of the outdoor space and owners field to play in .

The Shippon is a lovely homely cottage.

It was great for us and our dog, who loved the field he could run in. Owners Andrew and Sarah could help with queries when needed. It was in a lovely rural setting but only a couple of miles from the attractions in Conwy and the surrounding area. We loved this stay and hope to return.

This is the second time we have been to the shipping and will be going back .

It is clean, comfortable and so peaceful. Andrew was really helpful if you needed anything and little duggie was a bonus . Would recommend.

The bed is really hard we ended up going back a night early because we both weren't sleeping and the pillows aren't the best really thin, me and partner had to actually go out and buy some pillows they were that bad.

The central heating is on a time you can't control and doesn't really heat up the property enough.

If you are looking for peace and quiet then this is the place for you.

Beautiful little cottage everything you need is provided for, immaculately clean, beautiful views, great walks near by, fantastic base to explore the surrounding areas. We loved our time here so much so we are planning a return trip later in the year.

We stayed at the Shippon 2 years ago and were so happy with the accommodation and the area that we booked in again.

It's a great base to explore the coast and mountains of north Wales and to come back and light the log burner at the end of a cold day and have a hot bath was perfect. Our dogs loved it too. We will return in the future. Thanks Andrew and Sarah.

The Shippon provided some much-needed peace and quiet in its remote location, whilst only being a couple of miles away from Conwy.

Clean, full of character and sympathetically furnished (with luxurious bed and bedding!), the living area was well laid out and felt more spacious than we expected from the photos. The log burner gave us warmth and made for some cosy evenings. The cottage was ideally situated to explore the area. We would love to return and would recommend to others.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Shipton.

It was perfect. Eddy and Barney had fun too ..our two dogs had lots of free time in the big field . The Barn was warm and welcoming, very clean and homey. Such a beautiful and peaceful place. We couldn't recommend it highly enough. Thank you for the generous log basket. Only one tiny thing to say ..the rugs side of the bed are very slippy. Just a tiny comment. We came away rested and relaxed. Thank you.

Perfect for taking your dogs, fabulous outside space, quiet, secluded and beautifully kept outside area.

Having just spent a week at the shippon I would recommend it as it was a really relaxing place to stay .

The property was beautiful, really clean and comfortable. Sarah and Andrew are nice, helpful people and if you needed any advice they were there to help you . Couldn’t ask for a better place to stay and having Duggie come to see us most mornings for a biscuit was a bonus .

Very comfy and cozy cottage in a very nice location.

This was our first stay at The Shippon and I hope to return.

The cottage is well positioned to explore North Wales, Anglesey and Snowdonia. Whilst feeling remote it is close to shops and restaurants. The cottage itself is lovely and very comfortable, for taller people beware of the low ceilings but at 6ft I found I managed fine.

The Shippon was lovely and peaceful just what you need for a break.

We had a wonderful stay at the shippon.

The paddock was a great asset for walking our dog, the accommodation was really comfortable and warm . Andrew was really helpful and friendly. Can't wait until next year when we will be back again.

Although the mattress was old .

..it was very comfortable.. the mattress protector was slightly stained looked like an old urine stain The kitchen was very well stocked and functional but the large frying pan was unusable ...for health and safety needs to be replaced Otherwise a beautiful barn conversion in a beautiful place

Andrew and Sarah were wonderful and generous hosts.

The cottage was great though we did bump our heads a good few times!! The garden was lovely - shared with sheep at times. Woodburner worked well - needed sometimes because of the mixed weather.

The shippon is absolutely amazing , really comfortable and such a lovely place to stay .

The owners of the shippon Andrew and Sarah are so lovely and welcoming when you arrive . We cannot think of a better place to stay , it is well placed for things to do and places to go . Absolutely fantastic we will certainly be going back to the shippon .

The Shippon is like a piece of paradise.

The cottage is comfortable & well equipped. The surrounding are breathtaking - Andrew & Sarah(andDougieDog)are wonderful hosts. We had a wonderful well needed break & only wish we had stayed longer. Had a brilliant week's stay at the Shippon.

Weather was amazing and there were a pair of garden loungers to use. The shippon is in a brilliant location and was extremely well equipped. The only downside for us was the tricky stairs up to the mezzanine bedroom which if you have mobility issues of any sort are not suitable. Every thing else was superb with excellent hosts. Peace and Tranquility this is the place to be.

This is a wonderful cottage, set in beautiful countryside and very peaceful.

It is well equipped and very comfortable. It is also extremely well located for exploring Snowdonia and the North Wales coast.

Really enjoyed our stay and dogs had fenced field to play in.

Stairs to bedroom narrow and steep and with bathroom toilet down stairs not an option for very elderly or infirm. Cosy wood burner and we would like to go back. Owner very helpful and attentive..

Lovely old cottage, beautiful scenery and various walks.

Provided just what we needed, some well earned peace and quiet. Even in February the cottage warmed up quickly. The property was clean and well maintained. Helpful and friendly owners.

We had a lovely, relaxing stay at the Shippon the cottage is very cosy and the views are amazing, only a 5 minute drive into beautiful conwy, we took our two dogs and they absolutely loved it, especially the field next too the cottage which they had all too themselves.

Wow absolutely brilliant , what a totally perfect place to stay in .

The views from the barn are out standing . Andrew and Sarah are really lovely and give you a wonderful welcome . Dougie there dog visited the barn almost daily so much so he has got a new girlfriend with our dog dulcie . Amazing and fantastic place to stay ,the barn is really comfortable and cosy, really relaxing and we loved it so much we have booked to go back twice next year . Thankyou Jon and Julie Shipston xxx

Spent a week at this lovely cottage in a great location. It was very cosy, great log burner and had everything we needed. Very comfy bed. The views are stunning. The pictures do t really do it justice.

Truly a perfect idyllic ‘getaway’ location for my husband and I to relax and have fun with our dogs. Loved the cottage’s interior, garden and flower meadow.

We enjoyed our stay but as two more senior folk we would have enjoyed a second hand rail on the stair and a more efficient lighting on the stair facilities ok Beautiful location

A gem of a cottage.

Tastefully furnished and well equipped with a log fire. The location is so peaceful,away from the hustle of modern day life and a good location to visit North Wales visitors attractions . The owners Andrew and Sarah made us feel very welcome and at home in their lovely cottage.

The cottage is lovely and very cosy with excellent facilities, everything that you need for your stay. The location is perfect for outdoor activities, and the host was really helpful on giving us some tips for local walks and visits. Everything was very clean and well organised. Our holiday at the Shippon was just perfect and I cannot recommend this cottage and excellent hosts enough. We really hope to come back in the future.

We spent 7 wonderful days at the cottage, the remote location provided peace and tranquillity, yet close enough to Conwy castle, harbour, marine, town and Morfa beach for days out.

The cottage it’s self is cozy, log burner and fabulous bath to soak in by candle light. High recommend a stay at the cottage.

We had an absolutely brilliant time at the Shippon.

This charming little cottage was very well equipped and felt remote whilst also having easy access to the local area. The Shippon proved to be a great base for day trips to Snowdonia and Anglesey, although it is well worth exploring the hills which are right on the doorstep of the Shippon! Our hosts Andrew and Sarah were very friendly and happy to give us information on the local area. We also brought two horses with us, and we couldn't have asked for better equestrian facilities! Stables with yard, tack room, paddock, all right outside the cottage! Andrew was even kind enough to lend us some equipment such as wheel barrows, buckets, spades etc to help look after the horses :) This beautiful location is really special and we will definitely be returning!

A beautiful cottage with delightful hosts

The kindness of the hosts and access to a meadow for our beloved Archie, a cocker spaniel who LOVED the location.

This is a perfect cottage for 2 with wonderful space for the dogs to roam.

The cottage is situated in fabulous scenery but within a short time you can be in Conwy or Llandudno. The owners are extremely helpful and friendly but not intrusive.

Incredibly idyllic setting and really helpful hosts who recommended a couple of great walks and lent us some kit that we had left behind.

Great location close to Conwy to pop and get food but nice and remote and surrounded by sheep and farms. Would love to come and stay again.

The Shippon was brilliant, in a beautiful setting and within easy reach of any amenities we required.

The evenings were special with the woodburner lite and the lights turned down and just music playing. It had all you needed to stay very comfortable in all types of weather conditions, the sheep in the garden each morning was an extra bonus, in just watching them going about there morning breakfast. Excellent position for touring around North Wales, would go back any time.

Lovely Christmas break at this tranquil cottage.

Conwy is 5 mins away and a beautiful village. The cottage was lovely and warm on arrival and even had a bottle of white from their vines. Hosts were lovely and even met Dougie the dog. Cottage is very well equipped and the bed was so comfy. Roaring fire each night and just a lovely location. Perfect chilled place!

the cottage is quaint, quirky, cute, cosy and nicely isolated but only 2.

3 miles from Conwyn, Andrew (the owner) was very helpful. It is an ideal location for dogs. I felt a picture of the stairs to the bedroom should be included in the description. They are a challenge.

The WiFi was very poor, I accept that this is probably due to the rural nature of the area but feel that it would have been better not advertised.

Also the steps up to the bedroom are very steep, again j think this should have been highlighted. If we had realised this we wouldn’t have booked it, even tho we enjoyed our stay The owner was very pleasant and helpful, it is ideal for a romantic hideaway for young couples but not for creaking pensioners like us

We loved the accommodation.

The owners were friendly and the location perfect. We were however informed that we had paid for 7 nights by the owners who wondered why we were only staying until Tuesday. We thought we had paid for 3 nights, selecting 3 in the menu. I am dissapointed to know that Sykes charged us for the full week when it clearly stated we were to check out after 3. There should be a lower price surely for less nights and we were under the impression that this would be the case. If not it should clearly state it. The owners kindly offered us the Shippon for the full week but we had not packed for this etc. but did stay an extra night. Therefore we feel that we are out of pocket for 3 nights that we did not know we had bought.

Lovely cottage will definitely recommend.

When we arrived at the start of February, during one of the colder spells of the winter, we found the cottage to be very cold due to the fact that the previous rental had been 5 weeks earlier over Christmas.

The building itself is an old building with very thick walls so took a couple of days to warm up properly. The central heating itself was unfortunately not set quite right but the owners who were to hand immediately got this sorted and the logs and coal supplied certainly got the property warmed up during the second and subsequent days. The cottage ended up being a lovely a cosy place to spend time. The property was a great place to be, the owners incredibly helpful and the area a wonderful place to explore. Highly recommended.

The Shippon was beautiful and the owners provided lots of little extras to make the experience wonderful- fire lighters, kindling, wood even dishwasher tablets.

Great accommodation in a lovely part of Wales

The cottage was lovely, nice and clean.

Very spacious even though it looked smaller on the outside. Everything you would need was included in the Shippon.

We had a wonderful holiday at the Shippon.

We were made very welcome as were our dogs. It is in a beautiful secluded place surrounded by hills but within 5/10 minutes of Conwy. There are plenty of places within easy reach to visit and a number of places providing excellent food. The cottage is comfortably furnished with everything you require for your stay. Just a comment - if you are very tall you have to watch your head against the beams. This is a perfect place for a quiet getaway.

I felt that it should be made clear about the staircase, it's not suitable for anyone with a disability I myself had some difficulties getting up and down.

The Shippon is a small cosy cottage full of character.

Superb location accessed along a small very narrow lane which can be challenging at times. The owners are very welcoming and are on hand to assist with any queries either regarding the cottage or the local area. Great area for walking, mountain biking, sight seeing and the beach. Dogs are very welcome with good walks from the door step. The cottage is well equipped, clean and comfortable. The bedroom is on a mezzanine floor accessed by a short flight of narrow and quite steep steps which could be a challenge for anyone with mobility issues. All in all, a super cottage set in a tranquil area overlooking countryside.

we had no television or radio .for two days smelt damp walls are black in the kitchen.my husband at to clean cooker hob. cobwebs on beams

Tranquil and cosy cottage with great views and friendly owners, wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

The peace and quiet and wonderful hosts a fabulous time if you require peace and quiet to chill kick back and enjoy a glass of wine or 2 I highly recommend The Shippon Or chill on the quay in Conway with a Mr Whippy and explore all the great town has to offer or just a walk in the countryside fill your lungs with clean air and soak up the breathtaking views available , what more could you ask for go on just book into the Shippon

The owners Andrew and Sarhra were nice and very polite, we had a lovely quite and relaxing time at the cottage with our dogs.

The only downside was the steepness of the stairs to the bed area( not shown in any pictures). However, this did not stop us from enjoying the holiday in this quant cottage, the bathroom was spotless as was the kitchen and the rest of the rooms. A perfect time was had by all. Thanks you!

I couldn't recommend The Shippon more highly.

We had such a relaxing time with no noise except for the bleating of the lambs! Andrew was a really generous host and we loved the use of the woodshed for the firepit and the woodburner! Great location for exploring the beautiful countryside and we had terrific fun at Surf Snowdonia, Anglesey equestrian centre and Conwy golf club. We also enjoyed our visits from Dougie the dog!!

Had a lovely break at the Shippon.

Beautiful, peaceful location. It was bitterly cold on the first night with snow overnight. We used a lot of logs on the stove and got the cottage nice and cosy. Forty five minute walk into Conwy and close to Bodnant gardens and Llandudno. Sarah was very helpful and quick to respond to sort a couple of things out.

There are beautiful country views, and sheep as neighbours, very relaxing. We would stay again.

the roads are small and narrow so drive carefully please, some cars drive to fast and don't give way,we had lots fun loads to see and do.

Our cottage was so quite we loved it.
