A delightful, stone-built, detached barn conversion set on a 320-acre working sheep and cattle farm, within driving distance of the historic market town of Ruthin in North Wales.

This country cottage near Ruthin sits in an elevated position, boasting superb views across the picturesque River Clwyd Valley.

Beautifully restored to balance its original character, this cosy cottage near Ruthin presents very comfortable holiday accommodation for groups looking to explore this rich and varied area.

Guests will find three comfortable bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchen with dining area and a stylish sitting room boasting leather sofas, exposed beams, solid oak flooring and a cosy woodburning stove, as well as a conservatory.

Outside this quaint Ruthin cottage is a private, enclosed garden with furniture, guests can settle here on a summer's evening, light the barbecue and get lost in the stunning views over the valley.

The owners are happy to let you visit the farm animals and if you're lucky, you might have the chance to feed the adorable lambs during springtime.

The surrounding countryside is a delight, and with numerous footpaths close by, this is a perfect base for walkers.

There is also a nearby, open lake, just five minutes' walk from the cottage where guests can enjoy fishing or perhaps even a bracing early morning swim to start off the day before venturing out to explore this fantastic area.

This Ruthin cottage is located mid-point between Ruthin, Corwen and Cerrigydrudion, and offers a superb touring base to access Llyn Derwen for fishing, Bala for sailing and white water rafting as well as the Clocaenog Forest for magical woodland walks and cycling routes.

For fun-filled exhilarating days out, there are lots of options in the direction of the Snowdonia National Park.

Within easy reach is Surf Snowdonia in Dolgarrog, the world’s first inland surf lagoon, Zip World Velocity in Bangor and Zip World Titan and Bounce Below in Blaenau Ffestiniog.

Surrounded by the wonders of North Wales, this lovely Ruthin cottage is central to Bala, Llangollen and Betws-y-Coed and offers an exciting holiday for all.

Corwen 8 miles; Ruthin 10 miles; Bala 14 miles.

This hamlet is set on the River Clwyd between Ruthin and Corwen in North Wales. Within a 30 minute drive is Bala’s famous lake, the largest natural lake in Wales, which is renowned as a centre for great watersports including fishing, sailing, canoeing, windsurfing and whitewater rafting. Bala is also the headquarters of the narrow gauge Bala Lake Railway. The town itself is steeped in history and has a range of interesting shops, inns and restaurants, and an historical Town Walk. Beautiful countryside is all around with Lake Brenig, Moel Famau Country Park and Clocaenog Forest close by. Corwen features a range of shops, walks, the River Dee and a station opened in 2010 to access the latest extension to the Llangollen Railway. Ruthin is steeped in history and offers excellent dining, shopping and outstanding views. Further afield, but still within easy touring distance, are the coast, Snowdonia National Park and historic Chester. A truly wonderful part of Wales catering for all interests.
