22 Gwel Yr Wyddfa
Description
22 Gwel Yr Wyddfa is a recently refurbished three-bedroom property, less than a mile from the centre of Menai Bridge and its many attractions and amenities. 22 Gwel Yr Wyddfa is the ideal base for families exploring this beautiful part of North Wales. As you walk through the front door, you’ll find a fully renovated kitchen with high-quality amenities, including a dishwasher, washing machine, gas hob and oven, fridge/freezer and all the cooking utensils you'll need to create a culinary feast. Continue on through the hallway into the large living room, where an inviting sofa and arm chair provide the perfect spot to unwind in front of the widescreen TV after a day exploring the sights of North Wales. Enjoy a meal together in the dining room, which opens straight into the enclosed south-facing patio garden area with plenty of seating to enjoy the warm, afternoon sunshine while your four-legged friends stretch their legs. The spacious ground-floor double bedroom boasts plenty of storage space and overlooks the patio area, benefitting from access to the cloakroom, with a basin and WC, where you can freshen up. Head up the stairs to discover two further bedrooms, consisting of a large twin room which gets lots of natural light from the Velux window, along with a single room that would be ideal for a child. The contemporary family bathroom completes the layout; decorated to a high standard in neutral colours, with a bath and shower over, so you can enjoy a relaxing soak or a quick rinse to prepare for each new day.
Just a short walk away from this quiet neighbourhood is a number of pubs and restaurants in the centre of Menai Bridge, including popular seafront restaurant Dylan’s Menai Bridge, where you can enjoy local produce whist taking in the views across the spectacular Menai Straight. There’s plenty of activities to enjoy in the local area to suit everyone; for thrill seekers, enjoy a rib ride on the Menai Strait, taking in the beautiful coastline of North Wales whilst travelling up to 50mph on a rigid inflatable boat. If you’re more interested in keeping on dry land, take a walk to the Menai Heritage Exhibition at the Thomas Telford Centre, where you can find out more about the local history and Menai Suspension Bridge. Just over 30 minutes' drive away will take you into the heart of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with its mountains, lakes and nature trails. The National Trust's Bodnant Gardens comprises an 80-acre collection of plants collected over a century ago and is within easy reach, along with the butterfly palace of Pili Palas and the astounding Plas Cadnant Hidden Gardens, all of which are ideal days out for families and well worth exploring. For a beach day out, head to Beaumaris, where you can stroll along the pier and enjoy the coastal scenery, discover its imposing 13th century castle and hop on a boat tour over to Puffin Island to see these beautiful birds in their protected habitat. The beautiful beaches at Colwyn Bay and the popular seaside resort of Llandudno are also worth visiting. 22 Gwel Yr Wyddfa is the perfect location to explore the beauty of North Wales with the whole family.
The property is also located in very close proximity to Bangor University and its campus facilities and provides an ideal base for families of students studying at the establishment

What guests are saying
The bungalow is in a residential area about a 10 minute walk from Menai where there are shops and plenty of eateries to choose from.
However, be prepared for a hilly walk on the way back up. Unfortunately it was too much for our older dog so we had to drive down each time. The property itself is very tidy but in need of redecoration. Upstairs is lovely but the living room and master bedroom could do with a refresh and a lick of paint. Saying that, the bed was very comfortable and whoever cleans the property does an excellent job. The kitchen is very good with some top end appliances and everything you could need for your stay. Decor apart we had a lovely stay at this property.
A lovely bungalow,very well equipped,great welcome pack,would highly recommend
A very clean home, David and Nia sent an email containing lots of information about property and how to get there.
Contacted them during the stay about a small issue, resolved quickly. Thank you
