Kick-start your evenings with a drink at the bar, before taking your seats at the ornate table that decorates the dining room, and indulging in a fabulous family feast.
Retire to the peaceful snug with your favourite book and a warm cup of coffee, or spend your evenings down in the lower-ground-floor games room playing entertaining board games with loved ones.
Feel the heat of the summer sunshine as it beams through the attractive sunroom, before making your way out onto the patio and enjoying a refreshing glass of wine with lunch alfresco at the contemporary outdoor seating area.
Back inside, a light and airy shower room completes the first floor, whilst a smart bathroom hosting both a roll top bath and separate walk-in shower lies just at the top of the staircase.
Also on the first floor, five well-appointed bedrooms comprised of a super-king-size with en-suite shower, a super-king-size with dressing room, an additional super-king-size, a king-size and a twin, provide an abundance of space for the whole family.
Make the most of your time in North Wales, with days spent hiking along the coast crossing the sugary sands of Traeth Llanddwyn to Goleudy Tŵr Bach, or losing yourself in the glorious sand dunes of Newborough Warren.
Spend the day in the town of Beaumaris, home to imposing landmarks and attractions such as Beaumaris Castle, the Victorian Prison of Beaumaris Gaol, and The Old Court House Museum.
Head out to sea with a tour of Puffin island or a trip on the RibRide, or visit Pili Palas Nature World and the Anglesey Sea Zoo, a real hit with those travelling with children.

We had no hot water upstairs for the last 2 days.
No lights in the games room for the last day. Paid a lot of money for this property so feel let down by you.
Thank you for your feedback. We were genuinely disappointed to read that you felt let down by your stay. When you contacted us regarding the hot water, we responded immediately and the issue was resolved that same day. I subsequently spoke with you and asked whether you were enjoying your stay, and you told me that you very much were. I also asked you to let me know if you experienced any further issues, but unfortunately we did not hear from you again. We were therefore surprised to learn from your review that there had been an issue with the games-room lighting, as this was never mentioned to us during your stay. Had we been made aware, this could have been very easily resolved with a simple reset of the trip switch. We take great pride in the property and always try to resolve any problems as quickly as possible when they are brought to our attention. We are sorry that you nevertheless came away feeling disappointed.

We have just returned from an amazing long weekend at Tal Gwynedd.
It’s a stunning property in a beautiful location. We received a warm welcome from Sharon, who helpfully resolved a slight issue with the water heating. Perfect for three generations.Fabulous location with a view across the Menai Straits. Extremely comfortable house with so many added extras..fresh flowers, fires laid, and a welcome basket . The house is very well equipped, the owners are delightful and even howling gales while we there couldn’t spoil our holiday. We had a really lovely time again and hope to return soon.

Beautiful views and as the children said its decorated like the Home Alone house so very cute vintage.
It doesn't mention when we booked the house is attached to the owners there office faces the kitchen the courtyard isn't private. The getaway from it all wasn't there but the beach is a few mins away the house is amazing for all extended family to getaway. The original sash windows and open fireplaces Beautiful fireplace and no TV in main living room, with 4 sofas yet in snug with TV had to make half of us sit on floor. WIFI not amazing but your in the country so signal isn't great the teens affected by this the most. Just bits I wish we had knew beforehand but overall a house big enough for 3 families in Anglesey in half term is rare with that view we would go again as making memories in a stunning house the WIFI blip made all the kids play games talk and even bake together. Our stay at Tal Gwynedd was absolutely perfect.
We stayed as a family of 10 to celebrate my partners 40th birthday together. The house itself is magnificent, immaculate, cosy and had everything we could possibly need and more. The beds were soo comfy! The whole family was in awe of such a beautiful house - from grandparents to our 11 year old son. The location is ideal, a short walk to a little beach with incredible views and close enough to drive to a local shop and takeaways are available too. We took advantage of the surrounding area with trips to both newborough and red wharf bay. After driving in the storm, we arrived to a warm welcome at the house to a lit fire and candles as well as the radio on which set the perfect atmosphere for a family get together. My mother in law was so in awe of the house that she cried! Saying she had never stayed somewhere so beautiful. The piano was a real treat as we had a few piano players amongst us.Thank you Sharon for the most wonderful stay, "absolutely magical" is how my partner described it and we can't wait to return. Our weekend was full of laughter and we made incredible memories. We left feeling so relaxed and would highly recommend the property!

Fantastic family break - 3 months to 60yrs, plus dogs.
Plenty of space for socialising, and peace and quiet. Nice enclosed grounds for the dogs to explore. Would definitely recommend.

Had a wonderful recent stay with family and friends.
Beautiful house, very comfortable with everything you could need. Such beautiful bedrooms and super comfy beds. The welcome basket, lit candles and radio on upon entering the kitchen was lovely. So homely. We enjoyed our stay so much that we are planning a return visit to celebrate significant birthdays.

Tal Gwynedd is a fabulous find.
We were attending a track day at Trac Mons and needed somewhere secure to leave trailers and other paraphernalia. The house has a country house hotel/long established family home feel and is vast. Most rooms have panoramic views across the Menai Straight to the mountains beyond and with so little other properties around it was perfectly peaceful. Highly recommended!

Amazing place to stay.
We were made very welcome by the owner who had provided goodie baskets for us and our dogs too which was so lovely. Without a doubt a magnificent home.
Everything you could possibly need is provided and top quality. The bedding, towels and kitchenware is better than we have a home! Our host was so friendly and welcoming, she had provided a beautiful welcome basket with milk, bread and a selection of delicious Welsh biscuits. The location is perfect for sightseeing and it is a ten minute walk to the beach. 10/10 from our guests and ourselves

This is our third visit here, Tal Gwynedd is a wonderful place to stay.
Three generations of our family celebrated my birthday with me and there was plenty of room for us all to have a bit of peace, if necessary. The house is beautiful and very well equipped. Sharon, the owner is exceptionally welcoming but never intrusive. The views are lovely and there are plenty of places to visit in the area. A very short stroll takes you down to the banks of the Menaii Straits and the amazing Anglesey beaches are only a short drive away. The beds are really comfortable, the furnishings are delightful. I couldn’t wish for a better place to stay and we certainly hope to return. Thank you.

We had a wonderful weekend at Tal Gwenedd celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary with our family.
The house is beautiful, extremely comfortable.Our Grandchildren enjoyed riding their bikes up and down the grand drive and playing on the swing. The views from every room are amazing.We hope to return sometime. Sharon the owner was there to welcome us when we arrived and had lit a fire which was very welcoming. Very clean and well equipped. Plenty of rooms to sit and relax in. The view from our bedroom window across the Menai Straits to Caernarfon Castle was stunning every morning. Lovely short walk down the lane to the shoreline. So peaceful and quiet . We enjoyed it so much that we didn’t want to go home ! This property is unique and very special- it is very grand and extremely well proportioned and is more than fully equipped for a perfect break away.
The setting is stunning, the grounds beautifully kept and full of wildlife all around. The owners are very lovely and on hand with local information and recommendations. Sitting out on the front lawn watching the changing tides of the Menai with Caernarfon Castle beyond, the peace and tranquillity of this beautiful country home provided a most perfect escape.

Great place to stay - spectacular location and unique property.
Perfect for a family celebration of a significant Birthday. Everything was there that we needed and the hosts were friendly and very helpful. The beds were wonderfully comfortable and each of the 5 Bedrooms were furnished to a very high standard. The grounds were great and safe for 2 x engertic dogs and it was a lovely 5 mins walk to the shore. We are planning to return in the near future and can’t recommend this stunning property highly enough.

A beautiful property with stunning views.
All 4 generations enjoyed the stay, especially our grandson. Who enjoyed the games room and the freedom of playing in the grounds. My mum and dad wanted to stay another week but, unfortunately, the house was booked. The owners were friendly and there if you needed anything, but did not intrude. Would definitely recommend, especially if you enjoy the history of the house. Janette & Stephen

We had an amazing time at Tal Gwynedd.
The house is fabulous, perfect for a a special family occasion, very spacious, very clean and very comfortable. The views are wonderful, you can see over the Menai Straits to Caernarfon Castle and it is a 5 minute stroll done to the banks of the Straits. The location is very handy for visiting places in Anglesey. We went to Newborough, Aberffraw, Rhosneigr, Plas Newydd and Plas Cadnant….we could have visited more places but we wanted to get back and enjoy the delights of the house. The owner, Sharon and her family, were unobtrusive but instantly available if needed. It was a magical holiday and we can’t wait to return.

Tal Gwynedd has everything to make it a perfect holiday home.
Not only is it situated in a beautiful spot overlooking the Menai Straits and the Snowdonian range with clear views of Caernafon castle in the foreground but it is also very near sandy beaches which Anglesey is famed for. The house itself is beautifully furnished and spacious with comfortable sitting rooms, a large roomy kitchen and apart from the formal dining room, one could eat in the conservatory or outside on the patio. Families could share this house in harmony without getting under one another’s feet. A welcome addition was the piano which was well used by the youngest to the oldest as was the bar , though not by the youngest! Outside the grounds were extensive and evening games of family cricket or football were enjoyed by all. Fresh flowers were a very welcoming and thoughtful touch and the lilies imparted a beautiful aroma throughout the house. This was indicative of the care and thoughtfulness of our hosts Sharon and Chris who were available to iron out any problems which occurred. I would thoroughly recommend Tal Gwynedd.
Fantastic property in a great location on Anglesey.
Very spacious rooms, one with an en-suite and amazing views of the Menai/Wales. The garden is massive, easily big enough for a kick around with young kids, and the house overlooks a field with horses /sheep in. We had a slight concern about the delicate china/glassware around given a small toddler was with us and 3 kids between 9 and 12, but nothing was damaged and we stayed out of the very elegant living room for the whole trip. The Wi-Fi did not work for us most of the time so we were on 4G (which is fairly slow) but no internet is not always a bad thing for kids/adults alike. The host was very helpful throughout the holiday. We hope we can stay there again sometime. Kids review “Best holiday ever” Grand parent’s review “like a 5 star hotel where I can cook”

The house is absolutelly beautiful, and the state is enormous and the children enjoyed exploring and playing around. The owner was very kind and we felt really welcomed and looked after. We will definitelly come back!
We had a wonderful family holiday in Tal Gwynedd and enjoyed the comfort and spaciousness of this beautiful house.
The owner was a great help with some minor problems and she recommended local places to visit. The views across the Menai Straits were magnificent and even in the wind and ferocious rain , we all felt comfortable and cosy - especially when we lit the fires, drew the curtains and had a cocktail at the bar.
The property had an atmosphere of love and had been a family home.
It was very cosy despite its size in a perfect location. Sharon was a delight and nothing was too much trouble. We arrived exhausted from life and left revived. A privilege to be allowed to stay in this immaculate property. Fires were laid ready ,there was a weloome basket of Welsh food items and these touches were appreciated.

A wonderful older house which had an enormous amount of space and rooms furnished to a high standard keeping the character of this home which felt very warm and welcoming.
Hosts Sharon and Chris were very friendly and ensured our stay was a pleasant one even giving local area information on places to visit. We will definitely return at some stage.

What a find. It is a beautiful family house and, from the moment you step through the door, you feel totally at home in the luxurious surroundings. We enjoyed the games room, the gardens and walks down to the sea (we saw a seal) and the stunning views across the Menai straits to Snowdonia. Can’t recommend it highly enough and the hosts Sharon and Chris made our young family feel so welcome. Definitely would love to come back.

Perfect location to explore Anglesey and the most amazing house. Really enjoyed waking up to the beautiful views and feeling like Lord & Lady of the manor for the weekend. Will be booking again soon!

5* It has been a real treat, living in a house we could never afford to buy.
Waking up every morning to the Menai and Caernarfon Castle. House provided everything we needed and more. It has been a privilege.
The house has everything you need for a holiday, the rooms are well kept, and the house is also child friendly.
The Cat was lovely so was the dog. The views were a bonus. We really enjoyed staying here. Diolch am gadael ni mewn i'ch cartref.
