“Stepping into the bungalow for the first time there was an awful smell (damp ?”

? wet dogs ??) which after 2 days I had to complain about. This was immediately dealt with and at the end of my first week another clean was completed on the Saturday. However the smell did linger. There is a big water stain on the main bedroom ceiling. This property has been given a 4 tick rating probably because it is near the beautiful beaches, garage and shop nearby, washing machine, tumble drier however the bungalow has not been maintained in relation to the expensive price paid. This property has been given a 4 tick rating probably because it is near the beautiful beaches, garage and shop nearby, washing machine, tumble drier however the bungalow has not been maintained in relation to the expensive price paid. It is in need of a big refresh and deep clean during the winter period. The grass was long. Everything seemed uncared for. I would not book again.

We are sorry to hear that you were dissatisfied with your 2 weeks stay in Garth and will address your complaints. When you contacted Menai, they messaged myself and the cleaner Eirian who went over to the house within 30 minutes. Eirian could not detect any smells but took away the sofa covers, cushion covers and throws to be washed. She also sprayed the carpet. On the following Saturday the cleaners gave the house a full clean and could smell nothing and also this week when a full changeover was made. We are confused as no one apart from yourself can detect any smells! Dogs are welcomed in the property but we haven’t had one staying for 2 months apart from ours (at the end of May). He does not go into the house wet and is not allowed on the furniture. The water stain in the downstairs bedroom was caused last January when it was discovered that there was a crack in the roof leading. The lead was replaced but unfortunately, after allowing it to thoroughly dry out there was insufficient time to decorate before our first guests arrived. This will be addressed this winter as well as any other decorating needs. Our gardener usually cuts the grass fortnightly on Saturdays when no one is staying but as you were a 2-week stay this was delayed a week. The previous cut was a week before your arrival. I have further discussed the pricing with Menai and you will not find many cheaper properties that caters for 6 people in this area. Property Owner
