The Wellington is a delightful holiday cottage in Mynytho near Llanbedrog, Gwynedd, boasting six well-appointed bedrooms and spectacular views across the Welsh countryside.
It’s the perfect setting for families or friends looking to explore the region.
Begin your adventure by utilising the off-road parking before crossing the threshold to the first floor, where you can unwind in the welcoming sitting room in front of the Smart TV and a roaring woodburning stove tucked in the Inglenook fireplace.
Later, step into the kitchen to rustle up a hearty meal for the whole family, which can be enjoyed around the dining table or outside in the garden on the patio furniture.
The Wellington also features a first-floor conservatory, an ideal spot to enjoy a glass of your favourite tipple before heading to either the first-floor bathroom or one of the ground-floor shower rooms to wash off the day.
After freshening up, choose between six plush bedrooms; the first floor houses a king-size room, while the ground floor hosts a king-size with a sofa bed, a double, a twin, and two bunk rooms.
In the morning, step out to explore all that Gwynedd has to offer.
Venture to Llanbedrog to stock up on essentials at local shops or enjoy an evening away from the kitchen with a delicious meal at the Glyn y Weddw Arms.
While there, be sure to bask in the beauty of Llanbedrog Beach, which offers far-reaching views across the sea and is lined with colourful beach huts.
Alternatively, head to Abersoch, where you can test your swing at Abersoch Golf Club, indulge in local seafood at The Potted Lobster, or take to the open water with paddleboards, surfboards, and kayaks at Abersoch Beach.
Keen walkers can also delight in the Wales Coast Path, which is within reach and meanders through quaint seaside villages and towns such as Aberdaron and Pwllheli, offering exceptional views across the sea and towards Bear Grylls’ St Tudwal’s Island.

Garden was not prepared for children to play. Grass was not cut and broken glass. See images 2. No essentials were provided- handwash, dishwasher tablets, tissues, toilet rolls etc 3. there was no hot water sufficient for 12 people 4. the house had cobwebs and dust everywhere- images do not capture the dust 5. no instructions anywhere on how to turn the heating on, where to leave the rubbish etc 6. No cleaning products, cloths or mop was available.

The property is spacious, has beatiful views and is ideal for large groups such as ours.
However the property had not been prepared for rental as follows: The gutter was hanging down by 1m in front of the picture window Two of the three downstairs showers were inoperable There were no smoke alarms Windows were dirty inside and out Floor tiles were cracked or loose in some areas Bulbs and light fittings need to be reviewed in some rooms Gardens need some cutting back Maintenanced wasn't available until the third day of our stay, he came and was unable to repair anything, but would report it. My understanding was that some plumbing needed work beyond his brief. With all the above problems it would be hard to recommend this property
