Ty Nant

Ty Nant was an amazing base for our stay, and we never had to travel far to discover some hidden gems.

The host was very welcoming, and the views from the cottage were absolutely stunning. It was so lovely falling asleep to the sound of the sheep! Ty Nant had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Our favourite part was relaxing in the garden after a day out and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. We did not want to leave. We would definitely recommend it!

The hosts were friendly, welcoming, and very helpful throughout our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. The owners of this property have thought of everything to make it a real home from home.

They are on hand to give advice on places to go to shop or eat out. The location is a perfect place to get out and about to discover what North Wales has to offer. Or if your not so adventurous you can just stay and relax with the beautiful views. The owner left a lovely welcome of milk,eggs,tea,coffee and Welsh cakes and when we phoned about the key advised that we could get a supermarket delivery which was very helpful.

Lovely cottage set in working farm but very quiet and lovely hosts.

Clean and comfortable with everything you would need and more, I don’t think the hosts have forgot anything! Lovely enclosed patio area to the rear of property so your dogs have a space to run around whilst you relax and very close to Betws Y Coed with all it’s facilities and walks.

Loved our stay, well equipped, very comfortable and cool in the heatwave for the dogs.

Have booked again for longer next year.

A lovely clean and homely cottage well equipped in an ideal location for exploring Snowdonia.

The owners and family are on hand to assist if needed and make you feel very welcome. It’s a busy working farm so enjoy the animals and the scenery a wonderful place to relax.

Ty Nant is a beautiful cottage on a working farm, with absolutely amazing views.

Upon arrival we had some lovely treats awaiting us, as well as fresh eggs and milk. Our hosts were welcoming and friendly and we loved learning about farm life, as well as meeting the adorable farm animals. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay, including some little extras with the bath robes and slippers. We loved spending time as a family in the evening either playing games or having pool competitions in the outbuilding. The cottage was a great base to explore the surrounding areas. Ty Nant had a lovely cosy feel and at the end of the week, none of us wanted to leave. It was our first time to Ty Nant but it won’t be our last.

On arrival the twinkling Christmas lights were beautiful and inside the fabulous Christmas tree and decorations were absolutely lovely! The home is so well equipped not only with essential items but many extras also, beautiful soft dressing gowns and slippers, bathbombs, and delicious homemade goodies, cupcakes, mince pies and delicious Christmas cake! The owners were on hand if needed and were the loveliest people you would ever hope to meet! We will definitely be back!! All I can say is ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! Thank you so much! Xx

Absolutely stunning home away from home.

Comfortable warm and everything you could need for an exceptional holiday. Linda and Arwel welcome you as if you were family and make sure you're all set before leaving you to enjoy the place. The cakes and roaring fire on arrival were greatly appreciated. Will hopefully be back.

Absolutely loved the stay at Ty Nant, it has everything you could need, the views are just wow, amd being on a working farm seeing the sheep and the cows we just loved.

The house was warm and cosy, on arrival we had milk and cakes which were very yummy. Lynda the host and her family were just up the road and were very helpful if we needed anything. Its a great location to lots of must see places, its in the middle of Betws-y-Coed and Llanrwst both about 10 mins away which have everything you need for a weeks stay, the bigger shops are about 30 mins away. I do recommend Bodnant Gardens which is only about 20 mins up the road. We loved it so much we are booking again next year.

Lovely cottage in a good location owners are brilliant and always make sure you have a good time.

You are made to feel welcome and the extra touches they make to make guests feel comfortable are most appreciated. It’s a working farm so expect to see and hear the farmer on his daily looking after his stock. An ideal place to unwind

A lovely well equipped cottage, spotlessly clean in a stunning location, The owners were very welcoming and helpful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ty Nant.

The cottage was well equipped with everything we could possibly need and felt very welcoming when we arrived, with freshly baked cakes and a highchair set up for our 14 month old grandson with eating utensils, bowls and beaker. It's a working farm but very peaceful and the hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend and am already thinking about when we can go back.

Amazing!

This was our first visit to Wales and it did not disappoint. The farmhouse is lovely, Lynda and Arwel are the most fabulous hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them. They were great with our two children, letting them roam around the farm collecting eggs, meeting the animals and nosing about. Arwel even took us on an evening trip in his truck to see the sunset and meet the animals. The house was spotless on arrival and Lynda has thought of everything that you could need. The fairy cakes and Welsh cake on arrival was gratefully received, as was the milk in the fridge and freshly laid eggs. We got to meet most of their family too which was lovely. The house is situated just a short drive from the very beautiful Betws-y-Coed and we certainly made the most of our ten days where we went paddleboarding, horse riding, mountain biking, visited Zipworld Fforest for the coasters but also the other Zipworld where we rode Velocity. We visited the beautiful beach at Black Rock Sands, the kids enjoyed splashing in the waterfalls at Fairy Falls and watching the water at Swallow Falls. Conwy was beautiful to visit, we didn't go in the Castle as we had the dog with us but had a lovely walk round to the small beach area before a picnic then popping into a pub for a drink. Oh and we also climbed Mount Snowdon with the kids (12 & 11) and Dave the Rottweiler. We loved it so much that we will definitely be back. Once again, Sykes didn't disappoint.

This is our 7th visit, so says it all.

We loved our stay at Ty Nant, it’s a real home from home.

Lynda is the most wonderful host, even providing freshly baked cake and fresh eggs for our arrival. The items in the property has been carefully thought about so you have everything you need, even down to cooking oil! The local area is a joy to explore and Ty Nant serves as the perfect base. We had a wonderful week and will definitely return.

The landlords are lovely people who have gone above and beyond to make your stay as perfect as possible. Easy to access plenty of things to do in close proximity. Can not recommend enough. Absolutely fantastic.

The welcome pack best ever with home baked barra brith, flapjacks. Fudge and a large bottle of sparkling wine. Fresh from the farm eggs. Yum yum. You arrive to a glowing fire and all the facilities you need and more. Have already booked again. Also not forgetting Arwel who never passed without a smile and a chat

The views across the countryside were beautiful and bonus that their were lambs in the fields behind the property Lovely to be greeted by Lynne and given a tour of the cottage and a welcoming log fire to walk into was very special.Oh and the homemade cakes and biscuits made by Lynda were delicious The house was beautiful decked out for Easter, my grandchildren loved doing an Easter egg hunt around the garden. It was a very special and enjoyable weekend and we will return Thank you

The cottage was beautifully presented, with a lovely welcome of home made treats. We were welcomed in person by the owner and given a tour which was a lovely touch. The cottage was extremely well equipped with a really well stocked kitchen making cooking easy. 3 beautiful bedrooms, comfortable beds, plenty of storage for clothes and lovely plush bedding. A nice big yet cosy living room with the open fire made for very enjoy evenings. Ty Nant is in a lovely location and easy to travel to all our favourite areas. Thank you so much for our stay, our only regret is we would have loved to have stayed longer.

This is the 4th time I have stayed at Ty Nant, In 2017 I left feedback stating that is probably one of the best holiday cottages I've stayed at, it still is.

Easily the best holiday cottage we've stayed at.

The location is fantastic for getting around Snowdonia, as well as being quiet and tucked away from the crowds. Couldn't believe how well the cottage was presented when we first walked in, felt like a real treat staying there. The owners obviously have a great talent for hospitality and take pride in their work. Thanks for a great holiday, hoping to come again next year.

Fantastic cottage.

Arwel and Linda were fantastic hosts, couldn't have been more helpful. Log store to fuel the real fire. Took my dog (Rotty) , Brother and my mother for a treat. More than enough space. It is hilly so a DD could be useful if you want to go for a night in Betws y Coed where I recommend the Gwydwr Hotel for food or the Eagle in Llanrws, both dog friendly. Great 4 night stay. Diolch

The owners are most friendly and make the cottage a very welcoming haven to arrive at. Everything one needs is at hand and the owners provide those extra little touches only usually found in much more expensive accommodation. It is a busy working farm and gives the pleasures of watching the cows and sheep being cared for close up. Rural magic !

Lovely spacious property with fully enclosed garden perfect for 2 dogs.

The most well equipped cottage we’ve stayed in with everything you could possibly need. Great views from all windows in property and good location for accessing lots of activities and walks close by. I would happily book to stay here again.

We received a warm welcome from Lynda on our arrival. Special touches included delicious home baked treats and farm eggs on arrival! A fabulous holiday cottage for our family of 5. Lovely bedrooms and well equipped kitchen and utility room. We enjoyed using the fireplace in the evenings and the BBQ in the garden. Very well thought out with several outdoor games for the children and a pool table in the out building. Wonderful waking up to the sounds of the sheep and cattle with stunning views down the valley. We timed our holiday perfectly with the exciting arrival of a litter of puppies on the farm! The children loved handling the puppies and the hosts were very welcoming and happy to show us around the farm. Our super holiday ended with a tour up to the top fields with even more breathtaking views! So much to do nearby including our hike up and down Snowdon, the Mountain Zoo and Zip World, plus many more attractions. We will be back! Thank you so much Ty Nant!

The hosts are so friendly and thought of everything you could possibly need even left us the most delicious cupcakes on arrival. We had the most fantastic stay and the kids loved it. We will definitely be booking again. :)

It isn't often that I write reviews but I really do feel that this holiday accommodation has earned it.

The property's location is great, very rural and high up for great views. You can witness all the comings and goings of a working farm. For us that including watching a sheep lick our car's underside with relish. Sheep walk around fairly freely and can come up to your door but I don't think they are interested in any of us really. You will hear the cows and obviously smell them a little, but what else can you expect from a working farm. The property was presented very well indeed, very clean and comfortable. I brought various items I thought I might need but this property really does cover everything you might need on your stay. It has been equipped to a very high standard which takes the pressure off of having to pack all the little extras. Very friendly hosts, there if you needed them but otherwise leave you to yourselves. The open fire was a real treat and unbelievably you could top up your wood whenever you needed to and it was free. (NOT something usually applied to open fires in holiday lets.) I cannot think of anything negative to say about this place and would definitely stay again and would most certainly recommend it to others. It was a real treat and a chance to recharge the batteries.

Excellent stay, comfortable and relaxing

We stayed at ty nant for a week in December, we arrived when it was getting dark so we were a little bit worried in case we couldn’t find the college but we found it easily!

! The lights in the cottage were already on and the fire was lit waiting. The cottage was also decorated for Christmas which was lovely!! We even had some chocolates which was a lovely surprise!! We had everything we needed and more, everything is so well thought of. We’ve had an amazing week!! The cottage is beautifully decorated and clean. The location and views are stunning, it’s in a perfect location. We also absolutely loved the animals here!! Owners are also absolutely lovely. Would recommend!! Absolutely perfect. Thank you!! Can’t wait to return.

Omg what an amazing cottage to stay in.

Well equipped, lovely decorated and very clean. The owners were very attentive when needed but left us alone to do our own thing. I would highly recommend staying here and we certainly will be back to stay again thank you so much for the hospitality

The fact that it is also located on a working farm adds to the charm and experience of this particular cottage. Open log fire and scenic views from virtually every window. We loved it here and so did the dog.

The cottage has everything you need for a home from home stay. It’s clean & spacious & none of us wanted to leave. Betws y Coed is the perfect base to visit nearby places such as Conwy, Llandudno, Snowdon, Harlech etc. Betws y Coed is such a pretty village & is a thriving tourist attraction. Not to be missed is Swallow Falls about 4 miles away. It will take your breath away with how awesome it is. We will definitely return to the cottage. I will miss waking up to the “moos” & “ baas”!! Can’t praise Ty Nant & Arwell & Lynda enough. Thank you for a wonderful stay

We have had an amazing stay at Ty Nant, the stunning views out of every window,the farm animals which you can hear in the background, the birds singing, I've never seen so many robin's,the peace and quiet,the friendly cats and kitten which followed the host Lynda up and down the lane,the chickens and of course the fresh eggs everyday,we have made so many wonderful memories, everything has been just perfect.

Been staying self catering for over 50 years and this is easily the best cottage I've ever stayed in .

Amazing location , great friendly hosts .cottage has everything you could possible need and more . Lovely home baking etc and blazing log fire to greet you . Cows, calves, sheep ,dogs and friendly .Very good location for touring Snowdonia and Zip world Fforest on door step ,what more could you ask . We all ( 3 generations) loved it and will definitely make a return visit .

The owners are very friendly and obviously take a lot of care to provide everything one might need for a very comfortable stay. A working farm so an added bonus of the sight and sounds of the livestock and wildlife to wake up to. An ideal location to just sit and unwind and escape the modern world.

The cottage was very clean and comfortable. Added bonus was fresh eggs and home bakes. Location suited us for walking locally and further afield. The sheep and lambs were wonderful to watch. Bird song and wild flowers beautiful.

Fabulous cottage.

Spotlessly clean with everything you need. Lovely real fire lit for our arrival. Gorgeous cake and shortbread left for us by Lynda, so much so that we ordered more to take home with us! Lovely peaceful location, wonderful spring break. Baby calf born outside our window on Easter Sunday. We will miss the little 'lamb gang' who played together in the field at the back of the cottage, providing us with hours of entertainment. Would definitely stay again.

The most welcoming and comfortable stay.

Wonderful, considerate and friendly hosts and a cosy, superbly equipped cottage. A lovely treat to have absolutely everything we could need and very thoughtful welcome cakes, Easter treats and milk plus robes and slippers - heaven. The location is ideal for travelling to so many brilliant places. The views are stunning and the ability to get a flavour of living on a working farm is a bonus, as were the eggs from the resident hens. Perfectly pet friendly, clean and well set out. No negatives whatsoever. Every need is catered for at Ty Nant.

It was not possible to get the hot water working during our stay, the owners were lovely, but were not able to get it working.

This did not spoil our stay and we would definitely wish to stay again. The welcome is excellent and the milk and cakes waiting for us was lovely. A beautiful location for a break anytime of the year.

Everything you needed for a relaxing comfortable stay. Spotlessly clean, homemade cakes and lovely open fire lit on arrival. Lynda and Arwen and family were lovely hosts, very welcoming. Great base for exploring the local area, would definitely visit again!

We stayed for 2 weeks at Ty Nant and we had an absolutely fantastic stay.

Cottage was spotless on arrival and is beautiful. It has everything you need and more. Beds are very comfy. Absolutely gorgeous master bedroom with tea and coffee facilities. Garden was lovely to sit in at the beginning or end of a busy day sightseeing for a bite to eat, really peaceful. Views from the doorstep are absolutely stunning! Lynda, Arwel and family (our hosts) were fantastic and very welcoming. A lovely assortment of treats were there when we arrived which was most welcome after a long drive. Our 14 year old also loved her time away which is saying something!! Cottage is perfectly placed within the area with so much to see and do within 30 min drive. Our dog was also welcomed and loved his stay, so much so we are still getting the silent treatment, he really didn't want to come home! We can't wait to return next year.

Would be very happy to return to the cottage if we holiday in the area in the future. Also a lovely touch with the treats on arrival, they were very tasty! I'm going to miss the cats, they were very loving especially one in particular. Loved a cuddle!!

A little Gem in the Welch countryside. The cottage was amazing, the best we have stayed in, with everything you could ask for, a very top standard cottage, extremely clean, with beautiful decor throughout. To have breakfast on the patio and watch the lambs hopping around is something I am going to miss so much. Thankyou for the delicious welch cakes and bara birth cake which we all enjoyed so much. A beautiful cottage which I have recommended to friends, and we will definately be back next year.

We loved our stay at Ty Nant.

The cottage was beautiful, clean and warm with plenty of space for 7 people. The kitchen was very well equipped and a nice place to sit and have a meal after a long day walking. Lynda was a perfect host, allowing the children to see the farm animals, leaving us freshly baked Easter cakes and answering any questions we had. It was one of the nicest cottages we have stayed in and we would love to return.

The cottage and inside everything was amazing.

Everything like in the 5 star hotel. But there was tiny issues. We knew than cottage is on the working farm and there was a bit of problem where we did not expect. The smell outside was horrible and the view wasn’t pleasant as well. From one side of houses was nice as in the picture but they forgot to make pictures all around.

Quiet, idyllic, stunning view of valley.

Beautiful surroundings and very close to Snowdon, Anglesey etc, A comfortable, clean and well stocked house. Very friendly owner and family.

The listing needs to be updated as one of the reasons we booked this particular cottage was that it said it had a games room, it didn’t though.

There was a derelict mess of where one used to be but this meant immediate disappointment on arrival for our children. Accommodation was great though and the owners were a delight. It’s on a working farm and to see all the animals was lovely, however barking dogs day & night woke us all up most mornings and during the night, they also made relaxing hard at times. All in all it’s a lovely place though run by lovely people, just not sure I’d return because of the barking.

The welcome was second to none,the cottage was spotless and extremely comfortable, the kitchen was very well equipped.

The owner even left a vase of tulips and some homemade cakes. They even found time in lambing season to help me cuddle a new born lamb,which was brilliant. The cottage was a really good base for exploring the local beauty spots.

Absolutely delightful stay.

We were greeted on arrival by the owner who had the fire lit and some delicious home made cakes on the table. The house is very well equipped, with toys for our young child, everything we needed and more in the kitchen and ample information on the local area on hand. We were really impressed with unexpected touches such as robes and slippers and a beautiful four post bed. This is a lovely part of the world to visit with lots to see and do. This was a great base and home to start our adventures from and we will visit again.

It is in a lovely area and is a perfect base for exploring Snowdonia and beyond. This is our third stay here and we hope to return somewhen soon. Thank you to Lynda and Arwel for a lovely stay and as always we didn't want to go home!

The cottage is situated in such a perfect area, there is so much to do.

The cottage has stunning views, excellent facilities and was perfectly situated for our outdoor week in Snowdonia. We have no hesitation in recommending Ty Nant to prospective holidaymakers.

We arrived to find our host Lynda waiting for us, there was a log fire burning in the lounge and home made scones and Welsh cakes in the kitchen.

The cottage was scrupulously clean, comfortable and fitted out with everything needed for a relaxed stay. I cannot rate the cottage highly enough and next time I stay in north Wales it will be the first place I check for availability. Thank you Lynda for helping make our holiday so perfect

We were greated by the owner on arrival, who baked a beautiful Easter cake , with lots of Easter eggs around the cottage for us to enjoy. The cottage is beautiful, the weather was amazing. Bettwys-y-coed is a beautiful area with lots to do and see . Hope to come back again. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

Ty Nant is a well equipped cottage that caters for every need.

From the Welsh cakes, scones and fresh eggs on arrival to the robes, slippers and tea/coffee making facilities in the master bedroom, the touches were lovely. It’s a great base for Snowdonia and the view down the valley is amazing and the new lambs were an added bonus. We would thoroughly recommend Ty Nant as a place to stay.

We have just returned from Ty Nant cottage.

We had an amazing stay over the christmas period. On arrival we were met by Lynda and her lovely festive homebakes. We were blown away with this cottage right from the start...the real christmas tree and all the christmas decoration around the house it was magical. We even bought the fresh turkey from the farm for christmas which was far the best turkey we have ever tasted...you can't get fresher than that. As a working farm it was lovely waking up to seeing sheep and chickens walking around.My daughter went daily to see the cows. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners we can't wait to go back. We didn't want to leave.

The house was perfect for our needs.

We especially loved all the extras, milk, sugar, tea and coffee and a cake stand full of delicious home baked cup cakes and mince pies! A lovely bouquet of flowers and two bathrobes and slippers provided in each bedroom, even for our toddler granddaughter. Arwel organised a tour of the farm to see all the animals and Lynda baked additional cakes to order. We have rented many cottages over the years but this cottage is the best ever thanks to the owners and their family. We recommend this cottage for anytime of the year.

Spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable cottage in all ways. Everything you could possibly need is there for you- plus little extras like Linda’s delicious home bakes on arrival! Lovely, peaceful location with lovely views - I slept brilliantly! Linda & Arwel are lovely friendly, welcoming people & readily available should you need them! Highly recommend this wonderful place!

We have stayed in this property 4 times now and always enjoy our stay; the property is very well kept and clean, we shall certainly be back in the future.

The cottage was excellently equipped and homely and easy to keep clean.

The friendly owners had thought of everything you would need for a family holiday. We were not aware when we booked the cottage that the parking area out front was next to a public lane, although traffic was minimal there was a blind corner that families should be made aware of. This would not put us off booking the cottage again.

Fantastic cottage, exceptionally well presented.

Clean, spacious with everything you need. Good quality furnishings, fittings and general finish makes for a very comfortable stay. The owners are very welcoming and the homemade Welsh cakes are delicious. Highly recommended.

Lovely and very accomodating hosts!

Even though we had a few people join our group last minute, everything was sorted out and ready for our full number on arrival, including some nice special touches like fresh cupcakes on arrival and individual bath robes/slippers.

I would like to say the house we stayed T this time was absolutely amazing.

We waned for nothing, everything you could asked this place had it and more. The location was great the welcoming. I can not recommend it highly enough

Week of beast from the East - Hosts were lovely, helped out with getting our van out the drive which was snowed in and offering to get supplies for us.

The cottage was by far the best equipped we've ever stayed in.

Lovely setting and very peaceful even though it's on a working farm. Friendly owners and a beautiful, very clean and comfortable cottage. The weather was also kind and we've had a fantastic week out exploring, with Conwy, Llandudno and The Welsh Mountain Zoo all being within easy reach. We were also very grateful for the homemade cakes which were waiting for us when we arrived - perfect after a long drive.

One of the best holidays we have ever had, i cannot find any fault with both Sykes Cottages and the owners of the property.

Thank you so much to them for making our holiday truly special. The kids loved every minute of their farm life, the owners were extremely patient with our kids and gave them some fantastic experiences during their time there.
