“I tried to change the date of my holiday due to my husband being called away urgently but to no avail even though the week I requested was free.”

So I went alone. The cottage itself was superb highest quality and cleanliness one of the best I have been to. However I found the surrounding area to be drab, dreary, rundown and very cluttered. So I went alone. The cottage itself was superb highest quality and cleanliness one of the best I have been to. However I found the surrounding area to be drab, dreary, rundown and very cluttered. Very clever photos 0n website showing off the property but giving s false impression of area. I left after an hour and a half did not like the area at all. Felt very uncomfortable on my own. I have used Sykes cottages for holiday booking for years but I will not be using them anymore I am extremely disappointed and upset that my request for a new date was not entertained and I had no chance to explain why. The cottage was overpriced bearing in mind the rough area it was situated in.
