Location was excellent.

Booking was reliable and easy access to the property. Accommodation looked a bit tired and very outdated Internet didn’t work. Limited plugs around the property. Towels were not clean upon arrival. Felt like we were just staying in someone else’s house that hadn’t really been looked after for a while.

We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this Airbnb.

The location was superb, offering a peaceful setting with plenty to enjoy nearby. The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming, taking the time to introduce our children to the farm animals and even providing food so they could feed them. This was a real highlight of the trip, and our children absolutely loved the experience. The house itself was wonderful, and the outdoor facilities and animals made it even more special. It was the perfect place for a family getaway, and our children didn’t want to leave! The only suggestion I would make for families travelling with very young children is to be aware that there isn’t a baby gate provided, so it may be worth bringing your own if needed. Overall, a wonderful stay and we would happily return. Diolch yn fawr iawn!

Cottage was exactly as the pictures show - extremely clean, super dog friendly enclosed garden and in a fabulous location.

The cottage is really well positioned if you want to explore local walks, forests and beaches.

It is well appointed with a large kitchen / dining space, a comfortable lounge with smart TV, log burner and a couple of couches. All the bedrooms are clean and comfortable, albeit one single is downstairs which is worth noting with younger children. Bathrooms are spacious and everything worked well. The backroom opens up onto a safe and enclosed garden which is perfect to let the dog out! The owner is friendly, local and available to help with any issues! Our kids loved feeding the horses and goats that are on the other side of the fence. There are no sizeable shops nearby but there's a good coop, Asda and Waitrose all within 10miles so worth doing a decent shop beforehand or on arrival. All in all, we had a great week here and would highly recommend.

Really peaceful break away.

Cottage is lovely Views are wonderful out the back horses and goats , welsh hills. Stunning. Plenty room and home from home. Bit cold when arrived, ideally have fire made up in colder months would be appreciated. Would 100% return. Family loved if. Downstairs bedroom great for grandparent.

Cottage is in a perfect spot for the forest, the dunes and beach.

The house is really spacious and comfortable and the most dog friendly place we have ever stayed in. Really looking forward to coming back soon

We love staying at penllyn this as been our second time the host is lovely and always available if you have quistions regarding youre stay .

The garden is absolutely great very well secure the property was lovely and warm the kitche. Is set up with everything you need to use to cook and more we cant wait to come back in the summer

We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage is warm and comfortable with a large kitchen and master bedroom. It is in a peaceful location with nature and walks on the doorstep. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed our stay in this warm and comfortable cottage with lovely walks from the door and in a good location for visiting other parts of Anglesey and North Wales.

The horses, goats and chickens added interest. It is generally well equipped, but we'd have appreciated an indoor clothes airer (had to wait for a fine day to do my washing), and be aware that there is no salt, pepper, etc. provided (there were some tea bags and sugar), so maybe bring your own. However, the friendly owner gave us some lovely big fresh eggs on the morning we left, which we enjoyed when we got home. Hoping to return another time.

Lovely stay in a lovely location.

A home from home, very comfortable property . Loved the security to allow to let the dogs have a roam in the back garden with plenty of room for them to play. A good location to explore Anglesey or north Wales in general. Would love to return some time and explore a little more.

Lovely location. We were in the depths of winter but we were nevertheless warm and cosy. Owners were around but not intrusive. We hope to book again. Only possible improvement would be to have faster internet and a Smart tv. Otherwise it’s perfect.

This was a great place for 3 of us and our 2 dogs, loved the location.

A couple of minor issues were quickly sorted by the owner who is close by. Dog area was secure and it’s about a half hour walk, off road, to the beach. Storm Darragh hit after we arrived and power went down for a few hours but we had some logs for the fire to keep us going and when it came back on the house warmed up quickly and was great all day as we couldn’t leave the property safely. I believe the house instruction book is being updated, which will help with how everything works and hopefully contain local recommendations of shops and places to visit.

I made a very last minute booking and was accommodated by the lovely owners. Cottage was beautifully clean, warm and welcoming. Truly dog friendly as well. Definitely recommend.

Lots of space in the house, big living room, huge kitchen and a massive enclosed rear garden for our 2 greyhounds to run around in. We are already looking at booking for next year

We’ve just returned from a lovely 3 day stay at Penllyn with our 3 year old grandson.

What a beautiful property it was. The property is well situated to visit places in Anglesey and North Wales. The property is very clean and homely and the kitchen is very well equipped with everything you will need with the luxury additions of a washing machine and dishwasher. The beds were extremely comfy in all rooms and both upstairs and downstairs bathrooms had great showering and bath facilities. It was lovely to sit at the rear of the property watching the goats and horses graze and both our dogs really felt at home. Apologies to the owner for us leaving some bakery items in the cupboard which we forgot to pack on the day we were leaving. Will be definitely returning to Penllyn in the near future.

We found the mattress very hard in the two single room and no hanging space for clothes in single rooms, no so clean in some areas like corners and died flies on windows still light bulbs missing ask own fir light bulbs but give wrong one ask again still gone the wrong one.

We really enjoyed our stay .

we would love to return next year. Your property is set up just right for us inside and outside. Near to forest and beach thank you.

An lovely cottage, with views overlooking the paddock with goats and horses.

The beds are very comfortable. The sun lounge is a nice airey space to overlook the paddock and unwind. The cottage is in an ideal situation to explore Anglesey and North Wales.

Second visit to this lovely location to stay in this well equipped and comfortable cottage with lovely hosts.

Just as good as the first time with the lovely paddock view with horses, goats & chickens, roaming about.

This was our first stay and it certainly won’t be the last - already looking to book again!

The cottage was superbly located, very comfortable with lots of space both indoors and out. The back garden was a perfect size for the pooch. The horses and goats in the field were an added bonus and so lovely to sit and watch them. The owners were on hand to answer any questions and were lovely and friendly. The cottage is really a hidden gem and in a perfect location for local walks as well as exploring further afield on the island. We had a truly wonderful stay - it just wasn’t long enough! Already looking forward to our next stay!

We were looking for pet-friendly accommodation and this certainly ticks that box.

Our two dogs enjoyed the safe, enclosed back garden as well as the expansive front lawn were they could great all passers by. Our visiting grandchildren loved the horses & goats in the adjacent field whilst for me, it was the peace & tranquility of any early morning coffee whilst listening to the birds & farm animals greet the day. Just a 40 minute walk away, through a nature reserve, skirting a forest is one of the most beautiful beaches on the world. If that doesn’t take your fancy, deviate slightly and you find yourself in sand dunes and grassland with wild horses and rabbits for company before reaching the estuary with its views of Caernarfon Castle in the distance. They say it’s all about location, location, location and this property is testament to that maxim. One small niggle in this post covid world is the absence of hand soaps so pack some of your own.

Lovely cottage, secure large garden which was perfect the our 2 young children and dog to run around in.

Loved waking up to the goats and the horses each morning. Cosy living room with a log burner. No logs provided but that didn’t bother us as we always take our own anyway. We even took our own hoover (to keep on top of the messy children and dog!) as we usually find that there isn’t one when we’ve stayed at previous cottages but there was one already available in the cottage. Owner very friendly and available if needed but also not intrusive. We will be returning in the future.

We had a love stay at Penllyn cottage.

It was very clean and well equipped. The dogs loved the enclosed garden and were safe. They enjoyed the goats coming to see them over the fence. Would recommend. Remember to take a shower cap though as the shower is a fixed head.

A lovely cottage providing everything you need.

The beds are really comfortable. We are returning for a fortnight next June. A beautiful location and nice to wake up and see the horses and goats. Ŕeally quiet location. An ideal base for exploring Anglesey and North Wales.

The start of our holiday was ruined by the key being absent and the owner not answering any of his 3 phones and then turning up without notice 20 minutes later.

We had travelled for 3 hours and had our 2 dogs. When we gained entry there were no loo rolls. The access code for the wiki had faded and was illegible. It is advertised as having a wood burner but no logs. The heating didn't come on automatically. There were no waste bins in either bathroom to dispose of wipes etc There was a intermittent smell of drains sometimes quite strong. There were no cleaning products making leaving the place clean difficult. This has potential to be the perfect cottage with its enclosed garde and stunning views with easy access to the coast but it is poorly managed. Finally I know welcome packs are not obligatory but not even a tea bag

I booked this cottage because of the location.

We loved the second seating area in the sun room, looking out on to the garden and the field beyond. We would recommend to others, most definitely. Items we felt were missing and would make a difference to those staying at Penllyn: A small bin in each bathroom (only one dustbin in the kitchen). Handsoap and towel in the d/s toilet next to the back door.

Love it here , second visit , ideal location to travel around Anglesey, ideal having a downstairs bedroom and bathroom for my elderly mum Nice and clean, spacious with everything we needed , suits us but a decent walk to a shop , not an issue for us Lovely host and lovely surroundings

We had an amazing stay at Penllyn Cottage.

It was clean, very well equipped and comfortable. The garden was secure so our dog was safe with plenty of room for a run. The farmers were very friendly and informative. It was lovely to be able to sit out with a cuppa and see the views of the mountains. Very friendly horses and goats in the next field who loved a fuss. Also Ben the sheepdog loved to pop by and say hello. The cottage is in a great location for seeing Anglesey. There are also beautiful walks (all dog friendly) and beaches on the doorstep. I've stayed in several cottages and this is one of the best. The only negative was the Wi-Fi was a bit hit and miss, but it meant my teenager put his phone down and spoke to me instead

We loved the location and the cottage itself.

It was easy to get to lots of different parts of Anglesey to explore by car with good road links. There are great walks from the cottage itself. The sun room is a great place to relax in and the cottage felt spacious for 2 adults and our 15 and 11 year old sons.

We were perfectly happy with all the aspects of the property and its situation.

We loved staying at Penlynn, it was a relaxing home from home with all the facilities you could desire.

We will return here for a getaway holiday again.

Only tiny niggle was the poor WiFi connection in the property (you had to be on top of the box in the sun room!) Otherwise a fantastic stay and will definitely be booking again soon.

Wonderful cottage in a nice peaceful location near the beach.

The cottage was lovely and spacious for a family of four (plus dog), and had a nice sun room which was perfect for reading. The property owner (Gwyndaf) was very friendly and checked if everything was OK. We had a lovely week at the cottage and would recommend it wholeheartedly.

Lovely cottage for a winter break, cosy (even in storm Arwen), and with the views from the sun room, you can enjoy feeling "outdoors" indoors.

The cottage was well equipped with everything we needed. Also, as we are not pet owners, we were delighted with how clean it was, with no trace of previous pet occupants!

Lovely cottage in a great location within walking distance to Newborough forest.

Really enjoyed our stay. Could do with a lamp in the lounge as the spotlights are a bit intense in the evening. Also there were no oven gloves (not sure if this is a Covid thing but surely they could just be washed like the bedding) no soap, and no utensils or gloves for the woodburner. None of these would stop us going back but would be very easy to solve.

The property was nice and clean.

It was better than the write up from Skyes. Already booked for next year. The owners were very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

Had a great time, so peaceful and beautiful surroundings, lovely walks from the doorstep owners where friendly and offered support when needed a lot of the island had limited eating places and only served food during certain days and hours, easy to get around the island and plenty of lovely places to visit using your car approx 30 mins drive to most places so an ideal base if you want to travel around

Penllyn was just what we wanted and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Property was not ready for our 3pm check in, was closer to 4pm.

No mobile phone number provided for owner and struggled to contact them on landline prior to stay (to confirm cot & highchair). Nice property and location. Owners friendly enough without being intrusive. Wifi coverage is very poor, perhaps due to router being bizarrely located at an extreme corner of the cottage in the conservatory. Smart TV is not so smart, did not have apps (eg. Netflix, Iplayer). Curtains are awful in bedrooms and barely keep out any light. Not good for a stay during long summer daylight especially with young kids! The owners really need to get some blackout blinds fitted or blackout lined curtains. Final snag is that the downstairs bathroom/toilet has an internal door with see through glass panels. Not good for privacy - this really needs sorting. So, all these snags could be easily fixed and this would massively improve the experience.

We were told there was a back door but it was on the side quite awkward when you have two dogs to get through two doors and a gate garden ideal but for the way in.

We had fabulous time helped by the excellent weather.

The Cottage was absolutely lovely & we would love to book it again sometime. For anyone who needs to do bits of work- the wifi is not v strong (but 4G works fine).

Spacious, bright, warm, and good facilities, just enough hot water for a bath but would have been nice to have more hot water.
