    “Even though we were not blessed with good weather we had a lovely family holiday.”

    Our party consisted of nine adults and one child and the spacious, well equipped house was perfect for our needs. The bedrooms were all very comfortable and the two lounges also comfortable and very useful in the evening when some watched TV and others could read in the other lounge. The kitchen is equipped to a very high standard and the conservatory a lovely place to eat. The garden is huge and had the weather allowed is a lovely place to eat, we were even lucky enough to see a red ...

The bedrooms were all very comfortable and the two lounges also comfortable and very useful in the evening when some watched TV and others could read in the other lounge. The kitchen is equipped to a very high standard and the conservatory a lovely place to eat. The garden is huge and had the weather allowed is a lovely place to eat, we were even lucky enough to see a red squirrel right outside the patio doors. Within a few miles there are some very good places to eat, in particular the White Eagle at Rhoscolyn and Sandy Mount House in Rhosneigr. On the way home we had breakfast at the Swellies at Port Dinorwic Marina which rounded off our holiday perfectly before heading in different directions home. I would have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending this lovely property for a family holiday or get together for friends.

The property

This late Victorian detached property is set over three floors in the village of Newborough on the fabulous Isle of Anglesey just two miles from the nearest sandy beach.

Set in a fantastic location, ideal for those looking to explore the outdoors, this cottage is the perfect base to return to at the end of the day.

With a well-equipped kitchen and utility which is great for washing the sand off after a day on the beach, the cottage is built around your needs.

Both the sitting room and the dining room have an open fire which makes these spaces warm and welcoming on the cooler evenings and provide plenty of space for entertaining the whole party.

The bedrooms are set across the first and second floor to offer flexible arrangements to suit a variety of groups and with three shower rooms there won't be any queues in the mornings!

The spacious lawned garden has plenty of room for ball games and enjoying the sunny weather while just two miles away is Llanddwyn beach and island.

There are opportunities for a variety of watersports including kayaking, canoeing, kite surfing and wind surfing.

The cottage is ideally suited for cyclists which is a popular local and active competitive sport.

For a more relaxing day, Newborough Warren is perfect for birdwatching.

Bangor 9 miles.

The small village of Newborough (Welsh spelling: Niwbwrch) lies on the edge of forests and dunes at the south west corner of Anglesey. Close by is Llanddwyn Bay, renowned as one of the finest beaches in Britain, ideal for swimming, canoeing, beachcombing and birdwatching or just relaxing! Behind the beach, the 1500 acre sand dune system of Newborough Warren is home to skylarks, meadow pipits and oyster catchers as well as toads and lizards and is protected as a National Nature Reserve. The Tan y Foel horse riding centre is within 3 miles of the village centre and Anglesey Sea Zoo, Foel Farm and the Anglesey Sea Salt are only a short drive away and make a fun day out for the whole family. Nearby Aberffraw is the home of the Anglesey racing track and will offer an exciting day.
