Description

Rhianfa is nestled in the very heart of the Welsh village of Newborough, this traditional semi-detached cottage dating back to 1859, boasting a sleek finish.

This quaint little property rests on the fringes of the forest and dunes of the south-west corner of Anglesey, with access to many beautiful beaches close by, the ideal retreat to bring family and friends.

Take the time to chill out in the sitting room, there is much to entertain you with a Smart TV, DVD player and BOSE Bluetooth speakers available, to be enjoyed in front of the woodburning stove on a cold wintry evening.

When it comes to preparing a meal, the kitchen is well-appointed with everything required to conveniently assist your holiday break.

Picnic sets and cool bags are also available for those adventurous days out to the beach or national parks.

Stroll through to the dining room from the kitchen, where the large table provides enough room for four with space for a highchair if you have little ones.

The two double bedrooms resting on the first floor are accompanied by a modern-style bathroom, with contemporary fixtures contrasting beautifully with the exposed stone wall, adding a touch of character and a nod to its heritage.

The exterior boasts a fully enclosed garden which extends out to the rear and occupies two lovely sitting areas for you to choose where to sit and relax, while the kids run around with the dogs.

The views from the garden are simply marvellous, and on a clear day you can see down to the Menai Strait and even Snowdonia in the far distance.

Perhaps enjoy your breakfast out here one sunshine-filled morning.

There are books and guide maps available inside the cottage to help you decide where to visit during your stay.

Nearby, Llanddwyn Bay and Newborough Warren promise alternative days out, with fabulous beach and glorious wildlife to be explored.

The fun is simply never ending with many attractions to suit all tastes.

An exquisite retreat to make the most of.

As soon as I walked in, Rhianfa felt warm and welcoming.

The heating was on and was easy to use (easier than mine at home). The log burner had been kindly made ready to use. But I found Rhianfa to be warm enough just with the central heating. In the well equipped, clean kitchen I found a nice welcome pack. Welsh cakes and a cuppa were much appreciated after my journey. I'd forgot my teabags, so the ones in the welcome pack were much appreciated. Even the dogs had a welcome pack including poopy bags and a selection of biscuits, treats and posh water bowls. The garden was safe and secure, even for a little sausage dog ! In the distance you can view the Snowdonia mountains. Everything was sparkly clean, including inside of the fridge, that's a biggy for me. The beds were very comfy. The linen and towels were all fresh and laundered. There was a hairdryer and the wardrobes had plenty of hangers. There was lots of drawer space too. Each room had an oil diffuser and the aroma was pleasant and not overpowering. Rhianfa was tastefully furnished with modern furniture that complimented the charm of the cottage. I am a light sleeper and Rhianfa is a semi detached property next to a road. And yet, I couldn't hear any outside noise. It felt safe, silent and cacooned. I had the phone number of the owner and he was most helpful and keen to know I was happy and had settled in OK. And I was !! Rhianfa was well positioned for places of interest to visit (leaflets available in the cottage). I love walking and left the car on the safe car park adjacent much of the time. Newborough beach is just over 2 miles walk away (I think nothing of doing 10 miles walking), so I walked to the beach. Ynys Island, positioned off the beach, is a must go see (at low tide). I can also recommend Aberffraw beach. You'll have it mostly to yourself. It is less than 5 miles drive away and easy to find. With free parking! If are looking for characterful accommodation with comfort, a friendly and helpful host and nearby places to go. Then Rhianfa offers it all. Thank you Nick and Sykes. Debs Parton, Nantwich, Cheshire. Great cottage for a perfect relaxing holiday.

Back from our second time in Rhianfa, wonderful clean, comfortable and warm cottage, really great comfortable bed and a great shower. The kitchen had everything you need to cook anything with a nice cosy dining room. The added bonus in the living room is a great log burner which creates a lovely atmosphere. The big bonus is the large enclosed garden and sitting areas which was ideal for our dog no worries where she might be. Lovely people in the area and a great pub just up the road, well worth a visit or two as they do great food and is very dog friendly Rhianfa is a great base to explore Anglesey as nowhere is too far to travel,Thank you so much Nick for a fabulous holiday, looking forward to returning next year

This little cottage is beautifully appointed , well equipped and extremely comfortable!

It is also spotlessly clean. It is well situated for travelling around Anglesey and further afield to Snowdonia. The only slight negative would be the bathroom- the shower is just about adequate . However, this did not impact upon our enjoyment of our stay at all. I highly recommend Rhianfa!
