    “The cracked cups were still there (as mentioned in a previous review) along with cracked and chipped champagne glasses .”

    The biggest dissapointment was no heat or lights in the conservatory , you supply an extension lead but no heater . Where were we suppose to eat our Xmas dinner ?

The property

Ael Y Fron is tucked away in the countryside just outside the picturesque village of Aberdaron, Gwynedd.

With its tranquil setting and proximity to the stunning Welsh countryside and the beautiful coastline and beaches of the Llŷn Peninsula, this wonderful, detached holiday home is the ideal base for families or groups of friends looking to explore the wonders of North Wales.

Arrive home to relax on the plush corner sofa in front of the Smart TV is ideal after a full day of exploration.

In the evening, use the fully-equipped kitchen to prepare a meal for the whole family, which you can then enjoy in the conservatory.

Step outside on warm evenings to enjoy a meal, a barbecue, or a pizza made in the outdoor pizza oven.

There are three bedrooms available for use when the day draws to a close: two king-sizes with en-suite showers and a family room with a single and a bunk bed, all of which share a bathroom and a ground-floor shower room.

If you can bear to leave this picture-perfect setting, head into Aberdaron to do stock up on essentials or to enjoy a break from the kitchen at The Ship Hotel.

The village is also home to the beautiful Traeth Aberdaron beach, where you can spend your days basking in the sun, playing in the water with your children, and taking in the breath-taking views.

Visit the National Trust's Plas yn Rhiw, a 16th-century manor house with formal gardens overlooking the bay, or travel inland to Eryri National Park, where you can partake in a wide variety of outdoor pursuits like swimming, rock climbing, mountain biking, and even an ascent of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), if you're feeling particularly adventurous.

ABERDARON

Abersoch 11 miles; Pwllheli 16 miles.

The seaside village of Aberdaron is peacefully situated around two streams, and facing the sea. Straggling up the hills are the buildings that give Aberdaron its character; the lime-washed fishermen's cottages, the cafes, shops, and hotels, and the church of St Hywyn. On each side of the river's mouth is the beach for walking and playing on, and a promenade where you can watch the sailing boats and regattas in the bay. There is also a National Trust visitor centre and car park. The popular resorts of Pwllheli and Abersoch are within easy reach. Discover fabulous castles and coves, or enjoy excellent fishing, watersports and golf opportunities, all available nearby. The dramatic scenery and abundance of superb walks at the Snowdonia National Park area are within easy driving distance, making an ideal base for a varied and enjoyable holiday, at any time of year.
