What guests are saying
Joyce and Bryn were lovely hosts - very kind, helpful and caring.
The cottage was beautifully clean, unfussy and quiet, having everything you needed. Lovely place to stay. WiFi was a little intermittent. Would most definitely re-book.
Comfortable, warm and a perfect size for two.
A very friendly welcome from the owners who were very helpful with suggestions of where to eat.
Thank you so much for this lovely feedback. We are very glad you enjoyed your stay, and we hope to see you again sometime. Best wishes Joyce and Bryn
Beautiful idyllic cottage stay in a great location - rural with great sea views, yet still a short drive away from all the amenities you could want.
The cottage was clean and cosy, private parking and an incredible rainforest shower head. Perfect for a couples retreat. The owners Joyce and Bryn are a delight - so welcoming and pleasant. 100% would stay here again. Could not have asked for anything more.
Diolch. Thank you so much for the wonderful feedback. It was great to meet you both, and we’re so glad you enjoyed your stay. We hope that we will see you again soon. Good luck to you both. Joyce and Bryn

Thank you so much for this great feedback. We’re so glad you enjoyed your stay and we hope to see you again sometime. We enjoyed our chats as well.
We had a lovely holiday and really enjoyed our stay.
The house was very nice, comfortable and had everything we needed for an enjoyable break. There were just a couple of small things that we feel would make the stay even better. We would have appreciated a little more privacy during our stay, and we think putting a curtain on the kitchen door would be a great addition and would give guests a little more privacy. It would also be useful to have a fixed broom and dustpan available, as this would make it easier to quickly sweep up and keep the house tidy during the stay. These are only small suggestions, as overall we had a really enjoyable holiday and appreciated the lovely accommodation. With a few little improvements, we think it would be even better.
Thank you for the lovely feedback. We are actually looking at getting new doors fitted in the near future, which would help with privacy. There is actually a dustpan and brush provided, it is under the sink. We hope we can make improvements as we go along. Best wishes Bryn and Joyce
Joyces and Bryn are warm and welcoming and always there for their guests, without being intrusive.
The cottage and its garden make for a cosy and inviting holiday home with all the comforts you could wish for. The kitchen is equipped more in line with English habits (no coffee machine), but that’s no problem at all. We’d like to thank our hosts once again for a wonderful stay.
Thank you for the lovely feedback. Sorry there is no coffee machine, but, as you say we cater mostly for British guests. It was lovely to meet you both, and we are so glad you enjoyed your stay. Best wishes Joyce and Bryn.
The Cottage @ Picton is a lovely holiday home.
Everything is absolutely spotless and the hosts are lovely and extremely helpful. The cottage has everything you would need, for two people. While we stayed the weather was very warm so we had the door open, but once we were asked to not have the door open as the mice and spiders would get in it felt a bit stuffy. hosts did provide a fan which helped. I had hoped to do some remote working but the wifi was very intermittent and extremely slow, hosts are aware but didn't make that clear in the writeup. if you don't want wifi this is a really nice place to stay and the hosts really do everything they can for you.
Thanks for the lovely feedback. We are sorry you were disappointed with the speed of the WiFi. We did explain that we are still on copper WiFi and therefore the speed is slow, especially as we are the furthest property from the exchange, and if lots of others are using it, it slows further. This is also explained in our information booklet. This is not a problem for most people, as many want a break from work. On a more positive note, we have been promised by BT that we will be going over to High Speed broadband later this summer. The situation should improve then.
*Beautiful little cottage* We had a lovely stay at Upper Picton Farm over Easter; everything was perfect in the cottage, and the views from it were stunning.
Some lovely day trips too, and gorgeous beaches nearby. Thanks so much for such a relaxing few days, with the loveliest hosts, Joyce and Bryn!
Thank you both so very much for the lovely feedback. It was a pleasure to meet you both, and I am sorry that you couldn’t have stayed longer. Please come and visit us again sometime. With best wishes to you both Joyce and Bryn
I had the most wonderful relaxing few days over Easter at the cottage.
The views are stunning and it’s so peaceful. The cottage is very cosy, absolutely spotless, has an excellent shower and the bed is extremely comfortable. I cooked while I was there and there’s plenty of space in the kitchen along with a good cooker and hob. I liked the fact that the kitchen is separate and has a kitchen table. Joyce and Bryn are lovely and the perfect hosts. Not intrusive but there if you need them or just to have a chat!
Thank you so very much for this lovely feedback. It was a delight to meet you. We hope you will visit again in the future. Very best wishes from Joyce and Bryn.

Lovely cottage, great location and amazing, stunning views.
We both thoroughly enjoyed our weeks stay here, and would really like to come back. There is nothing negative to say. Joyce and Bryn are two of the most loveliest people we have ever met, and you both also helped make the week the most relaxing, and enjoyable break away from our busy, stressful lives. Thankyou both so much.

Very comfortable accommodation. Friendly hosts Joyce and Bryn. Fantastic views across the estuary. Just a few minutes to the coast road and the beaches and facilities at Prestatyn. Highly recommended.

This is a beautiful little cottage, with sea views and very cosy.
The cottage is very well maintained by the owners Joyce and Bryn who gave us such a warm welcome when we arrived. The cottage has a well equipped kitchen, decent size bathroom with walk in shower, very comfortable bed with plenty of wardrobe and drawers. The cottage also has a lovely well kept garden with seating looking over the sea. We had a much needed restful week away staying at the cottage, we HIGHLY RECOMMEND this property and will be back again next year.

We really enjoyed our week's stay at this cottage, which is very cosy and well-equipped, enjoys splendid views out to sea and is so peaceful.
Joyce and Bryn are very warm and friendly hosts. The cottage is well positioned for trips to all the attractions along the north Wales coast, including Anglesey, Caernarfon and Snowdonia to the west and Chester to the east.
Thank you so much for the wonderful feedback. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay with us, and we hope we will see you both again sometime, it was a pleasure to meet you. Best wishes Joyce and Bryn
A real home from home that I would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat.
The property is very comfortable, well equipped and with excellent views out to the Dee Estuary and coastline. Joyce and Bryn are very attentive and helpful owners...always on hand if you need them. I used the property as a base for walking the first part of the Welsh Coast path from Chester to Conwy and it is also close to Offa's Dyke. The nearby beaches are remarkably quiet. Overall it really was a great place to escape from the intensity of modern life
Thank you for your lovely feedback, Peter. It was a pleasure to meet you. We’re only sorry that the weather wasn’t as kind as it could be and we hope it didn’t spoil your walking. We do hope that you’ll visit us again sometime, maybe to walk the Northern end of Offa’s Dyke? Best wishes Joyce and Bryn
Wow!
What a beautiful little cottage. It was so comfortable and cosy. The photos do not do it justice, especially of the sparkly shower. Plenty of storage space in the kitchen for shopping and the wardrobe ample enough to store clothes for two people. As a solo traveller, I made the most of the room in the comfortable bed. The views are just incredible, even on a cloudy day. Joyce and Bryn, thank you for your warm welcome. I hope to see you both again soon. (I hope you like the hats!) x
Sarah, it was a pleasure to meet you. We’re so delighted that you enjoyed your stay. We would love to see you again, and we sincerely hope that Bethany will be with you. The hats are lovely, you’re so clever with your knitting. Thank you so much. Best wishes Joyce and Bryn
We were delighted by the accommodation at the Cottage.
It has been carefully and lovingly prepared for visitors, and meets the highest standards. All mod cons, but with the feel of something more traditional: they have got the balance perfectly right. Joyce and Bryn are lovely people, friendly welcoming and unfailingly helpful. Local people, their love for the local area is infectious: and it has to be said it is a stunningly beautiful area. It was an absolute delight to spend a week there.
Thank you so much for your feedback. It was a delight to meet you both. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay, and that you managed to see some of the lovely area that we are fortunate enough to live in. Best wishes Joyce and Bryn

Used booking.
com and Sykes numerous of times over the last 15 years….This is the best stay out of the lot. Cleanliness was spotless, the description and photos perhaps don’t even give it justice. Then there is the hosts, who not only were happy to go out their way but also show their horse twice to my 4 year old son. They even have their own Netflix set up good to use for the likes of children or even yourselves. If you are reading this considering whether to book it, then genuinely stop searching and grab this while you can. Thank you so much to both of you, me and Reggie were going to get you a bottle of wine but ran short on time, we’ll have one for you next time. Wish you all there best Terry and Reggie-Ray (Not Chris
Thank you so much for the lovely feedback. It was a pleasure to meet you and Reggie-Ray, he’s a delightful little boy, a credit to his family. We’d love to see you both again. Sid says neigh

It was the perfect base to visit north wales and we enjoyed visiting both the local areas such as Talacre beach and Prestatyn, as well as Conwy and Snowdonia. It was a really beautiful scenic area and perfect place to relax and unwind. We went on some lovely hikes during our visit and there were plenty of local places to eat which were a short drive away.
