Lovely flat, with everything you need, including great parking.

Perfectly situated in easy walk of pubs, shops, railway and longer walks along the coast. great for going out and about further afield too. Never been to Porthmadog before and we loved it. Mum can't walk too far so it was perfect for us as she was happy to sit looking over the harbour (at all the crabbing activity)whilst I went for longer walks.

What can I say just great accommodation.

From walking into the apartment to the moment we left it could not have been any better. We will definitely return soon.

The Harbour View was exactly as described and spotlessly clean, the parking facilities were excellent and the whole area was well maintained and very secure.

The Kitchen was the best equipped we have ever stayed in, warm cosy excellent lounge, and the beds to die for very comfortable, good WIFI and TV Channels.

It was a clean comfortable apartment with an excellent harbour view and ample designated parking spaces. It also had the best, most powerful shower we have experienced, you almost needed to strap yourself in. Brilliant.

We liked this Apartment overall the best of the 3 that we have stayed at in the Oakley's.

Will definitely be returning. As we love the Area due to the glorious views of both the coast and mountains.

The property is wonderful.

It is in the perfect location to explore North Wales as well as enjoying Porthmadog itself. We spent a couple of days just staying locally as there was so much to do and nice long walks along the path next to the railway. Our children also spent time crabbing in the harbour which was about 50m from the front door. The apartment itself is maintained to a high standard with furnishings mirroring this. The owners clearly take pride in making sure you have a wonderful stay and that’s exactly what we had!

The accommodation was excellent clean, tidy and very comfortable, one small negative, there was no outside space to sit in the sun beside the accommodation There is plenty of space to sit out at the harbour but that is not private, however we really enjoyed our stay we went on the narrow gauge railway to Caernarvon and visited Portmerrian The Italian and a couple of pubs local to the harbour were all excellent Alastair and Malcolm, father and son

Love this apartment but although I can climb stairs I found these a bit difficult as the winding stairs the steps were a little higher, so anyone who do find stairs difficult would struggle, but the apartment was lovely

We have stayed at this property many times it is in a lovely position and has everything you could possibly need to enjoy a brilliant holiday

We have stayed here twice before and it feels like home to us we have booked two more times for next year we can not fault this property at all

Lovely spacious apartment with fantastic views over the harbour and estuary towards Portmerion.

Apartment is centrally located very close to many restaurants, cafes and shops, as well as the railway station (for Ffestiniog and Welsh Highlands Steam Railways). Apartment was very well equipped to a high standard and was spotlessly clean throughout. An excellent base for exploring Snowdonia and the of NW Wales.

Comfortable and well appointed.

Great location and nice harbour view. Welcome basket a nice touch and appreciated. Wife suggests lowering the mirror in the double room as, when seated at the dressing table, it was too high. Biggest issue was the size of the fridge & freezer box. We were a group of three adults and a four year old boy who were on a self catering holiday but had to visit the supermarkets regularly as there was insufficient chilled / frozen storage space. There’s definitely room in the kitchen to have a decent sized fridge / freezer which would allow more holiday - and less shopping - time. However, overall, Harbour View was a lovely place to stay and we would certainly recommend it to anyone travelling to Porthmadog.

What a wonderful find, the apartment was spotless, a perfect location for us and lovely to sit and watch the boats in the harbour from the sitting room.

The parking was also a great benefit. The host had gone above and beyond to accommodate us as we were staying with our young child and they fitted a stair gate and left a bed guard and cot for us. Such a wonderful stay and can’t recommend enough. Thank you for helping make our stay so wonderful.

Very nice clean apartment .

enjoyed the stay. the only negative thing l can say is. The second bedroom is all very tight with no wardrobe. Ok for children but not adequate for adults

What a beautiful apartment. Cleanliness second to none. Fantastic view of the estuary/harbour. We stayed with our elderly parents and their dog Misty. Such a relaxing stay for them as well as ourselves, and thoroughly enjoyed the goodies on arrival. We will be back

From the moment you step through the door, the apartment is warm, cosy and inviting. Furnished in light, airy colours. Welcome pack for hot drinks, milk and Welsh sweet treats was unexpected but very much appreciated after a long drive. Spotlessly clean with everything that we wanted for a short family break in November for 3 generations. Super views across the harbour, next door to the Maritime Museum, opposite the Heritage Railway - what more is there to say? A couple of minutes from the coastal path to Borth y Gest and onwards to Morfa Bychan and Criccieth. 5 minutes drive to Tesco for shopping needs. Well equipped kitchen and parking for 2 cars. A much needed and relaxing, stress -free break. Thank you.

The apartment was in every way perfect, all the facilities of Porthmadog were steps away, and we had a great view of the harbour.

The property was spotlessly clean and had everything you need for your stay. We stayed a week and loved every minute of it, we will be back

Lovely 1st floor apartment.

The photos don’t do it justice to be honest, really well equipped and comfy bed also. Would definitely recommend it as a base for exploring Snowdonia.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this beautiful apartment.

It was very clean, well equipped and the under floor heating was wonderful, at this time of year! (Feb '23). Everything was of excellent quality with attention to detail. From fluffy white towels, lovely bed linen, welcome basket (inc chocolate, Welsch cakes, milk, tea & coffees). Sorry to say, there are a couple of negatives. We arrived at night and struggled to find the flat as it was dark (maybe a sign in the lit under pass, where the gates are, would help? We eventually found it, but walking on pebbles to get to the flat, was cumbersome with luggage and noisy. We felt there was lack of privacy in the evening, when the lights were on, due to only voiles at the balcony door & kitchen windows. Other than that, fabulous!

This holiday home was one of the best that we have stayed in,it was exceptionally clean had everything you needed for a great stay.

We had a lovely stay, although I did struggle without a washing machine or clothes airer.

The location is great and yet still quiet. Really close to the play park, which was a bonus.

Generally the apartment was ok.

Would benefit from a washing machine which we found disappointing. Also outside looking quite dated, neighbouring apartments were quite run down. We also found the apartment quite small and beds too soft and uncomfortable. Neighbourhood shops had very early loadings and unloading. The apartment backed onto these. Also lots of dogs around hence barking. It didn’t impact on our stay too much as we were out most of the time. Just thought the cost didn’t really fit the apartment.

Home from home, everything you need is there. All products of a high standard. Well positioned with Borth Y Gest close by. A lovely walk past the marina takes you to the beach there. You will find nice bar/ restaurants, cafes overlooking the bay. I would highly recommend this wonderful apartment to family and friends.

We really enjoyed our short break at The Oakley, the accommodation was to a high standard with views over the harbour, we could not fault anything and will try to stay here again when we return.

We found the apartment clean and we had all that we needed too enjoy our stay.

The apartment is very well kept and equipped. The beds are comfortable, the shower is powerful and we found everything we needed for a really comfortable stay. The apartment is very close to the harbour and all the town facilities. The owners ethos is that they really want their guests to enjoy their holiday and this shows. They couldn’t have been more helpful in a difficult situation with our car, definitely above and beyond. Porthmadog is lovely and full of places to explore. Crabbing on the harbour, walks to Borth y Gest, steam train rides, and lovely places to eat. A great place to stay.

The Oakleys was great.

Would definitely stay there again. Ramona was so friendly, helpful and accommodating. I have sensitivity to perfumes and cleaning products and she did everything to accommodate this. She reassured me by phone before arrival about the product situation at the accommodation. Although there is no way of totally avoiding all this stuff (such as residue from washing powder on the beds and soft furnishings - this stuff really clings!) it was as good as I was going to get anywhere. More places should adopt her eco-friendly approach. I was so pleased to have found this place as several others I had contacted used a cocktail of toxic products. It was great there was no washing machine too, so no previous occupants using washing powder. Though we overran our departure time (although we had been up since 7am packing up!), this was not a problem for her when she arrived. Thank you Ramona.

Perfect location overlooking a port and railway. A few steps away from high street and a playground is two mins walk away, perfect if you have a toddler. We loved our stay and highly recommend this apartment! Thanks to Ramona and Bob!!

Location was excellent being within a couple of minutes walk of the high street but in a very quiet position. Views of the harbour, the hills and the steam train were a bonus.

A great location for the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway, for Caernarfon, Portmerion and the beautiful surroundings of North Wales.

Highly recommended. Reserved parking in secured area a real bonus.

It’s nice to find somewhere where we don’t have to wait until a ridiculous hour to check in and lose nearly a day of our holiday.

We stayed in The Oakleys and the flat was clean on arrival with some lovely homely touches including welsh cakes and chocolate (a lovely surprise) There was hand gel to use on arrival which was good.

The position is ideal for local walks and sightseeing around the Snowdonia National Parks. Thank you to the owners who obviously work hard to keep it clean and to a good standard.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The apartment was so well equipped and literally a home from home. It’s location is perfect for walks; watching the steam trains come and go, or relaxing with the harbour view. We appreciated the care and thought that the owners had put into the decor and in making us feel so welcome - even leaving a sweet little bunch of fresh flowers tastefully arranged. A couple of points to note - the stairs are quite steep (but have a good handrail) and there was loud early morning noise on a couple of days from deliveries to the restaurant whose yard is next to the apartments. Minor issues for us and we loved it here.

The Oakleys is a great apartment

This is a well appointed, comfortable flat in an ideal location with a pleasant view of the harbour.

Close to the town it also offers easy access to the coastal path. We would thoroughly recommend it.

! The standard at The Oakleys was superb. We stayed at number 12. It was tastefully furnished, well equipped & spotlessly clean. There was nothing that hadn’t been thought of. Some lovely touches too, including chocolate, Welsh cakes & milk already in the fridge. The view from the living area looked over the harbour, which couldn’t have been lovelier. The location of these apartments was perfect for exploring the area too. Couldn’t recommended The Oakleys enough.

Wonderful accommodation in great location.

Very clean and comfortable. Only 2 points of improvement- it got quite hot at night so a fan to put in the bedroom may have been nice. Secondly, the drainage of the shower is not very good and could spill over if not careful. We had to keep turning shower off to let it drain and turn back on again. We also noticed in the living room when we arrived that some of the windows were cracked and not sure if owner is aware. We would definitely consider coming back though and wish we could have stayed longer.

We had a wonderful holiday and the flat position, with a view of the estuary, was truly delightful.

I have rated 'facilities' as 3 because there was no washing machine and, if we had children with us, one would be very useful.

Great apartment, well equipped & with nice detail & welcome touches.

Only a couple of things would improve it. There is No charging point in the bathroom for toothbrush or shaver & the bed frame has hard corners, which caused my wife & I to bump our knees & toes on a couple of occasions.

The apartment is in a very convenient position and with two secure parking spaces allowed us several days of no driving, what a bonus.

So close to wonderful beaches and attractions we will definitely be returning to discover more. The owners have provided everything required, good quality furniture, bedding, towels, kitchen ware, it was a pleasure to stay at this delightful property, it was also spotlessly clean, thank you to the owners for their welcoming gifts. Don’t hesitate to book you will not be disappointed the photos don’t do it justice.

This flat was exceptionallly comfortable and really clean.

We had a really lovely stay there and it was the perfect base for our walking holiday. One minor criticism is that the ceiling lights were very bright and we would have appreciated some softer lights around the sitting area. Other than that, it was perfect. Thank you very much to the owners :)

A first class accommodation , 5 star location.

The apartment really had everything we could possibly need, everything was so well thought out.

The location is perfect for exploring, we went along the coast on the Wales coast path and absolutely gorgeous beaches and views are less than a 20 minute walk away. We loved the stay at the Oakleys, with it being an apartment we wondered if there would be noise from other apartments but it was really quiet and peaceful the entire time. Views of the harbour were lovely and the check in and check out process was really easy. We would absolutely come back and stay again, hopefully more of the local restaurants will be open the next time we visit :)
