Berth

This is our second visit to Berth and we have already booked for next summer!

The grandchildren love it here with the games room and the hot tub being a firm favourite. The property is spotlessly clean and has everything you could need for a holiday. It’s light and spacious with a private garden area. The owners are close by but in no way intrusive . Thank you John and Linda for the thoughtful welcome pack.

Beautifully clean and well organised property .

Lots of cooking utensils, something not all properties have. The air fryer was a nice touch. The fans in each bedroom were great especially at the moment. We all enjoyed the games room. Thank you so much

A great house, so nice we would leave the beach early to get back to it!

Berth cottage is beautiful, very clean and everything you need for a self catering holiday is provided.

The hot tub is so relaxing after a day out. The game room with a pool table is a bonus. A comprehensive information folder is provided to organise a day out. I definitely recommend Berth for a great holiday.

The property is in a quiet location and everything was spotlessly clean.

The hot tub was ready for us on arrival and in a private sheltered garden surrounded by astro turf. We have no complaints at all. The owners kept in touch with us but didn't intrude. There are stunning walks and beaches in the area and we also enjoyed the large games room.

This was a wonderful place to stay, it was clean, bright, comfortable and with everything you could need.

The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped, and with plenty of space . The games room was a real plus in the wet weather and the garden was a sun trap when it did appear! Beds were very comfortable. The owners made us feel very welcome, even before we arrived. The beach is a short walk away and you may be lucky to spot dolphins as we did. Highly recommend this lovely house.

A fabulous stay at Berth, so comfortable with great facilities in superb location

I stayed with my daughters at the end of August.

The property is brilliantly well presented, and equipped with all that you need in the kitchen, bedrooms...and a pool table with no scuffs!! The main living room was spacious, although got very warm. That's a minor quibble as the windows make for a great vista. The kitchen was beautiful, all the stuff you need. Maybe need another saucepan for the hob. Again, minor. The air fryer was a good touch. The garden is simple, but spot on. The hot tub was warm, clean and easy to operate. There was a lovely big table for morning weetabix coffee and contemplation before the teens arose. Easy parking too. Lovely area to explore and I even did the local Park Run (on the beach

Berth was amazing!

So much bigger than it looks in the pictures. The kitchen has all the appliances you could need - even an air-fryer! And of course the hot tub is fantastic!! Linda gave us some brilliant tips on local beaches and it was lovely to be able to walk over to one of them. The cottage is well positioned so you can get to some lovely places without having to travel too far. Perfect holiday destination!

This cottage was perfect for our party of 5, which included two young children and one other person with limited mobility.

The property itself was spacious, with room to spread out if desired, and the games room downstairs and open plan kitchen/dining area were both especially welcome when keeping the children occupied. The outside space was also perfect for our needs, with plenty of space for the children to play safely in the enclosed garden area which had AstroTurf to help keep everything neat and tidy. There was also a hot tub which we didn't use, a large dining table with chairs and a BBQ. The owners really have considered every possibility when it comes to the facilities and equipment provided at Berth. Having brought a few items with us in case we needed them, absolutely everything we needed was in hand. Other cottages we have stayed in simply don't compare when it comes to small things like this. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Berth very much, and would like to thank Linda and Jon for making it a very happy few days in Wales.

Our second stay at Berth and just as brilliant as the first.

Gorgeous welcome basket - we loved the Bara brith and butter! The house was spotlessly clean -and this comes from a clean freak! Our kids loved the games room and we all loved the hot tub. Great location with beautiful views across to the sea. Thank you to the owners for our fabulous stay.

What a beautiful, clean property located in a lovely area it’s so peaceful and loving sun rise and sun set view.

Excellent location.

Quiet with lots of nice places to visit a short drive in every direction . Property felt exceptionally clean with great amenities. We booked this property for the games room to escape the rain . We were blessed with great weather so didn’t rely on it but a nice room to escape with the kids in the evening before a dip in the hot tub . The photos don’t do this place justice it’s very spacious .We will be booking again

Berth is a lovely holiday house in a beautiful location.

It was spotlessly clean, furnished to a high standard and decor was beautifully co-ordinated. The added extras throughout the property such as the very well equipped kitchen, the supply of games, puzzles, toys etc in games room as well as the Wi-fi and x-box made for a relaxing and stress free holiday. The garden was very well maintained and the hot tub was well used. The welcome hamper for us on arrival was lovely and much appreciated. Will happily recommend to family and friends.

Lovely, spacious house.

Well maintained, plenty of kitchenware, and immaculately clean - I don't think I've ever stayed anywhere as clean! Fantastic location, amazing area to explore and lovely to be able to walk to the coastal path from the property. The hot tub, the fab games room and wood burning fire were great additions. Everything is catered for in such a lovely location.

We loved our stay at Berth.

The house was better than we expected and the pictures online don’t do it justice. The views around the cottage were beautiful and the location was great. The house was very very clean! I’m a clean freak and I couldn’t fault it. The garden was great and everyone loved the hot tub. Our 4 kids spent lots of time in the games room and they were sad to leave. The only thing we missed was a tumble dryer. With mixed weather it was hard to get our towels dry between hot tub uses. The main bedroom could also use a little table or unit by the long mirror. I had my hair styling products on the floor and it made things a bit difficult. We loved our stay and would highly recommend this cottage.

I would highly recommend this property for either families or friends.

The information and welcome packs were great on arrival as we could have a lovely cup of coffee before unpacking. The property both inside and out was immaulate, with the garden furniture and hot tub beingan added bonus. Three generations of my family stayed here ages ranging from 13 to 65 years old and we all enjoyed our stay. The games room was great for children at night before bedtime, (adults enjoyed it aswell).

Pleasant, large cottage, tastefully modernised, well equipped.

We have stayed in many different holiday cottages over the years and this was one of the best.

A lovely welcome pack from the owners, spotlessly clean, spacious and really well-equipped. A really comfortable home in a great position, being close to both Pwllheli and Criccieth. Both towns have some lovely shops and restaurants. Will definitely visit again.

Absolutely love this place.

The owners are soo lovely and helpful. This is our 2nd stay here this year. We love it! The only reason I dropped a point on comfort is the mattress in the master bedroom wasn’t comfortable this time. Apart from that…Perfect, furnished beautifully, great location, fantastic games room downstairs, well equipped as I said we love it here! We will still be back.

Brilliant holiday home will definitely stay again

We had a fantastic stay at Berth and it's a great base for exploring North Wales.

The property was very spacious, clean and had everything that you could possibly need. The welcome pack and card was a lovely touch and we particularly enjoyed the Bara Brith! Couple of small things for the owners to consider - the double bed is a little creaky and hooks on the backs of the doors in the bathroom and en-suite would have been useful. Great location for visiting North Wales.

We absolutely loved this holiday cottage.

As a young family it was perfect for us, the children enjoyed playing in the games room and we all loved the hot tub. The cottage has everything you might need, including children’s cutlery, high chair, stair gates etc. the garden is enclosed and super safe. We found the location perfect for exploring the area. Can’t wait to return.

Fantastic holiday accommodation!

Warm and welcoming owners . House is home from home with every detail taken care of to make stay as enjoyable as possible. Location is great .. walking distance to beautiful beach. Only down side is that it is just off the road so one does hear traffic … Would definitely return !

The accomodation was excellent.

All the the facilities needed were there, the place was spotlessly clean, it was a very quiet peaceful location. Berth is airy and modern and beautifully decorated. The bathroom and ensuite are brilliantly appointed, the games room is a god send for both rainy days or for kids waiting while food is being prepared. The wifi signal is strong and easily supported 5 devices all at once. The jacuzzi spotlessly clean and very relaxing for evening dips which we used every day. The owners very kindly emptied our bins (Welsh recycling bins take some getting used to.) Excellent base to explore Llyn. Thank you for a great week.

Its a really lovely property with fantastic facilities, the location is great, with a beach within easy walking distance, and local towns just a ten minute drive away. The owners could not be more helpful, the welcome gift is a lovely touch & much needed when you arrive after a long drive. The property is modern & spotlessly clean, inside & out with comfortable beds & furniture. I cant fault it & would highly recommend it. Many thanks to the owners for a lovely stay, we will definitely be back!

Location is great for both coast and mountains, but the cottage is perfect. Spacious, cosy, clean and well maintained. Hosts are welcoming and friendly, games room is ideal for kids/teenagers. Equipped with everything and more. Absolutely 5 star property

Even better than we hoped for!

Spacious, comfortable with modern high quality fittings everywhere. The cool basement was welcome in the very hot weather and the pool table is an excellent one (balls do get stuck in the pockets but just put your hand in rather than tilt the heavy table). Criccieth is a very pleasant visit nearby although Pwllheli would probably suit young people better. Perfectly placed for touring the peninsula or visiting Portmadog, Portmeiron or Harlech Castle. Very friendly and helpful owners close by. Perfect.

The property was perfect for our needs for a relaxing stay.

All furnishings were of high quality and the property was nicely decorated. We had a warm welcome from our hosts who promptly came to our help to get the x box working. If you are staying with teens the games room will be a massive hit… great hub for family fun on wet days.. thanks for having us .

We were really impressed with this property.

Thank you for the welcome pack and card. They were very much appreciated. The property was spotless and had everything you needed. The showers were very powerful and there was always hot water. We loved the space inside and out. We used the pool table far more than we expected and were pleased the facility was there. We didn’t use the hot tub but only because it was quite windy. We thoroughly recommend this property for its facilities and location. We loved Criccieth and Llanbedrog beach. Afon Wen beach is a short walk away and would be quieter than Criccieth. We visited NT Plas yn Riew which is absolutely beautiful and definitely worth a visit.

We had a wonderful stay at Berth, the property is pretty perfect.

We used the hot tub every day as the weather was lovely and managed to eat al fresco in the garden. Thank you for the welcome pack and card that was a very nice personal touch. The beds were comfortable and the showers were very powerful :) We used the games room more than I thought we would, only criticism is we couldn't get the xbox to work, some instructions might have helped but the tv just wouldn't pick it up for some reason. Kitchen was well equipped and spotlessly clean as was the rest of the house. There was one chair that was a little bit wobbly so that might need looking at but there were only 4 of us so it wasn't an issue! We toured all around the area, our favourite places were Abersoch, Aberdaron, Whistling Sands and last but certainly not least, in fact our absolute favourite was Morfa Nefyn that blew us away!! We also visited the I'm a Celebrity castle (Gwrych castle at Abergele) on the way home which we can also recommend! Thanks for a truly memorable holiday in a beautiful part of the country, we hope to be back sometime!

What a gem of a property.

Only a short walk from a beach, has a games room, toys and a safe garden for children. Very clean and great facilities, we will be returning soon.

We absolutely loved our stay the property was fantastic, spacious, clean the games room was a real selling point for us as the children were amazed by it and spent quite a lot of time in there we also enjoyed the hot tub which was all clean for when we arrived, you have everything you need in the kitchen, the only thing we couldn't find was a masher for our roast dinner but apart from that everything was tip top, we will definitely be coming back here.

Gorgeous home to stay in, spotlessly clean, wonderful welcome basket with delicious Welsh products.

Beds very comfy and showers great. Games room great fun and absolutely loved looking up at the starry sky with a glass (plastic) of sparkly with my husband. Greeted by the neighbouring sheep every morning. Very handy for Pwllheli, Criccieth, Porthmadog, Abersoch etc. 5 min walk to the beach. Loved it.

A delightful place to stay.

Excellent facilities and well located to visit the coast as well as Snowdon. The house is finished to a really high standard. The kitchen is particularly well equipped and in awful stormy weather, we were able to enjoy the games room, the hot tub and the wood burner whilst cooking delicious food. The owners are easily contactable and very helpful and friendly. We had a great week staying at Berth and left feeling very relaxed, and hopeful to return again soon.

Had an amazing stay at Berth it had everything you needed for your stay the beds were very comfy the linen was very Crisp and clean it’s a very light and refreshing cottage the showers were excellent hot water and heating all day if you need to use it ,there is plenty off road parking which is good the only thing I would have liked to have in property is drawers in the bedrooms that’s my personal opinion would definitely stay at this property again

Very, very clean and comfortable. Excellent location for exploring the Llyn Peninsula and Snowdonia. An impressive welcome pack and Linda, the owner, was very helpful and welcoming. Would highly recommend and hope to return soon.

Amazing holiday rental.

Immaculate house, even better than the photos. Son very pleased with Xbox one X and games in games room. Owner lovely and very helpful, lives next door so on hand if any issues. Welcome basket of essentials and goodies very much appreciated.

There is loads of space, it was immaculately clean, it has great views (lovely to see the sea in the distance) and the games room is a real bonus for the kids when it’s raining. The kitchen is well-stocked and the owners have really thought about what utensils and cookware you might need. The garden is lovely and the house is situated so conveniently to beaches, places to see etc. The owners left us a generous welcome pack with milk, butter, bread, jam, cakes and a bottle of fizz which was so kind and gratefully received after a long journey. Book this cottage - you really won’t be disappointed.

The photos of Berth don't do it the justice it deserves, it's a beautiful holiday home with everything you could need.

It's very spacious and easily accommodated the 6 of us. The games room went down a storm with our grown up sons and the beautiful garden was perfect to sit out in while the sun was shining. The beds were all very comfortable and there's plenty of hanging space in each room, the showers are powerful and both had a cady inside for your toiletries. There are little stools and mirrors located next to plug sockets in each room for getting ready and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you'd need to cook a home meal. There's ample parking for 3 cars outside and the door into the games room makes easy access to the house from the carpark. The location is perfect, you have pwllheli to one side of you and Porthmadog to the other. A tiny downside was the noise of lorries going past early of a morning, it can only be heard from the double bedroom and if the bedroom window is closed you can't hear anything, we just opened the ensuit window and it made all the difference, you could take a little fan with you during the summer. It wouldn't put us off staying there again in a heartbeat. Linda and John were on hand if we needed anything at all and we were welcomed by a lovely welcome package and milk and butter in the fridge. We had a fantastic week and will definitely book to go back and stay.

Idyllic location, modern and comfortable accommodation.

The place is beautifuly designed, and have extremely welcoming hosts. Definitely deserves a 5 star review, I'd recommend this to anyone that is looking for a peaceful getaway.
