Hafan Deg

An excellent property in a lovely location - very peaceful at all times.

The house was very well equipped with everything you might need and very well cleaned before our arrival. We were regular visitors to the Aqua Bar on Llanbedrog beach a 5 minute stroll around the corner for both drinks and food - the breakfasts were particularly good and the staff very welcoming. Also had a couple of nice pub meals at the Glyn Y Weddw Arms. We enjoyed some spectacular sunrises during our stay and fantastic night skies when weather permitted ( wonderful dark skies with the Milky Way very clear). We had a fabulous week in a fabulous house and location.

We are a family of 5 adults and 3 children under 3 years.

We enjoyed a very comfortable stay - for the second year running - and hope to return. The house is spacious . In particular the upstairs bedrooms with their children's sections give generous space and have individual bathrooms. The location and garden with sea views is wonderful. The one drawback I had was with the booking agent where they just couldn't accommodate a request to extend the stay for a few days despite the website showing vacancy. In the end the owner contacted me and sorted it out in no time (Thank you!)

Hafen Deg was the perfect stay for our extended family holiday.

Grandparents, parents and three small children. It was spacious, clean and very well equipped. The location is perfect. A short walk to the beach, small supermarket, pub, beach bar and cafe at the art gallery. Having Abersoch nearby was an added bonus. The children loved playing in the safe garden and enjoyed the books and toys available. The adults enjoyed the dining area that overlooked a glorious view.

We loved Hafan Deg from the minute we walked through the door and were very sorry to leave at the end of the week.

The open plan ground floor is spacious and flows well, from hall to kitchen to dining area to a very comfortable lounge. From there the large picture windows look onto a meadow, the sea and the headland. The beach is below and can be reached, on foot, within 7-8 minutes. A sheltered area of patio, with garden furniture, is a lovely place to sit with a drink or a meal. A gate from this area and steps lead to a large field with a goal post and a bat and ball game and plenty of space for energetic children to run off steam. The conservatory proved a good place to be, for sitting, or playing indoor games, when the weather was not so good. The kitchen is well-equipped and there is a washing machine and drying rack in the garage, as well as a second fridge and plenty of storage space. Upstairs, there is a master bedroom and a double. Off each of these is a small room, with a door. There is a single bed off the master bedroom and a cot off the double room There are 3 showers in the property - one in the main bathroom, one en-suite and one downstairs, which is a wet room. The 2 bedrooms downstairs are a small double and a twin-bedded room. We really appreciated the proximity to the beach, on a quiet road. The owners have provided a comprehensive handbook and instructions for appliances. Books and games have been left for tenants to enjoy. There are 2 TV sets. The owners were very quick to respond and deal with to a couple of problems, which arose. They made us feel very welcome in what has been a happy family home. We are very grateful that they are willing to share it and we hope to return, before too long.

A spacious and comfortable house in a great location.

The kitchens and bathrooms have been recently upgraded as part of a whole house update. We were there off-season and it was extremely quiet. The house is very close to the beach with easy access. We received a welcome message from the owner after check-in and whilst we didn't need to contact them for anything, it was nice to know they were there to help.

Loved it everything we needed and more despite the wet weather.

Owners so friendly and answered our questions promptly. A little more attention to the "corners" from the cleaners needed. We will look to book again when sunny weather returns.

Nicely situated property.

Quiet and peaceful. Interior a little tired in places but good overall. Kitchen facilities excellent. Really enjoyed our stay.

It’s a lovely house in a brilliant location. Facilities and comfort within the property were excellent. Overall cleanliness was good, albeit some rooms were a little dusty in places - but nothing too much to worry about. A great house in a beautiful location, with lovely unspoilt views.

The outdoor space is huge and my boys enjoyed playing on it when not on the beach! The house is very well equipped and comfortable with everything you could need. No need to go far if you don't want to with the beach on hand, the nearby gallery (definitely worth a visit) and the coastal footpath. We enjoyed a walk up to the tin man and round the headland to Abersoch. Would definitely return.

We had a wonderful holiday in Llanbedrog staying at Hafan Deg the house is beautiful very well appointed and the lovely kitchen is well equipped.

We were able to walk to the beach which was a real bonus and collect a coffee on the way from Aqua the cafe just steps from the sand I would highly recommend this property and hope to stay there again

The location was superb, just a short stroll to a lovely beach and beach bar serving great food. There are fabulous sea views from the cottage which is peaceful, with good off street parking and a large garden. The kitchen is very well equipped and we liked the open plan kitchen dining and lounge area.

My sister and I who are both teachers were able to spend the week with our 4 children whilst caring for our elderly parents.

Wonderful week, the house is perfect for mobility issues with bedrooms and wet rooms downstairs. A lovely feel to the property, with fantastic sea views.

The beautiful house and it's stunning location, overlooking the beach and sea in Llanbedrog, with the Snowdonia mountains across the Bay, was perfect for our holiday. We all said we would definitely be back and would highly recommend it. Give it a go, you won't be dissapointed.

Lovely house (obviously much loved by the owners) in a great position with beautiful, ever changing, views across Cardigan Bay.

Easy access to beach and coastal path and lots of other walking possibilities within a short drive, including from Aberdaron and Porthor.

We had a fabulous time at Hafan Deg.

The house is gorgeous with the most amazing views and location. You can walk to the lovely beach of Llanbedrog as well as the beach bar, tea room, pubs and shop. This was particularly helpful for us as my son is a wheelchair user. The house is great for access too. Open plan with 2 downstairs bedrooms and shower room !! It has all the amenities you could want inside, a lovely kitchen and beautiful garden for the kids to play. I highly recommend and can’t wait to visit again. X

The location was ideal and the views were stunning. The house is fully equipped for families and it was the perfect layout. The homeowner was extremely helpful too. Thank you for a fabulous stay!

We found this a beauifully designed and equipped house with stunning views and lovely,safe outdoor spaces for adults to relax and the children to play.

We also felt that being midway along the penisula, the house provided good access to the towns to the east and the beaches to the west.We have stayed on LLyn for many years, and I can safely say that this is among the best - probably THE best of the accommodation we have encountered.

Generally, everything was fine with this property; well equipped and comfort standard was good.

One thing which could be very much improved on would be an extra fridge in the garage. The house fridge is really not big enough for a house which can realistically accommodate 9 adults. We could have done with an extra fridge for cooling drinks. It would be helpful to note what is actually included in the house description, e.g. bin bags, dishwasher tablets, salt & pepper, foil, cling film, oil, etc - all things which needn't be packed unnecessarily, or can otherwise be ordered for delivery. Also, when it comes to outdoor games, it would have been helpful to know there was already a football, cricket bat & balls, windbreak. We had packed these and needn't have done so. All in all, a welcoming house with lovely views, great outdoor furniture, which was very much appreciated, and good bathroom facilities. Nice and friendly obliging owners.
