This is a spacious, yet cosy and spotlessly clean cottage.

The property and grounds are extremely well maintained and in a quiet, rural location. However, the cottage is also quite centrally located within Anglesey and therefore only a short drive from all which this lovely island has to offer. Julie and Alan are the perfect hosts, welcoming and helpful without being being intrusive. In fact we enjoyed our stay so much that we have rebooked for next year!

What a lovely apartment.

Very clean, comfortable and warm with cosy log burner and very comfortable bed. The enclosed garden great for our dog. Quiet and peaceful area not far from facilities. Thank you Julie and Alan for making our stay very enjoyable.

Not exactly dog friendly as listed.

Restricted areas. There was inadequate seating. Would have liked a comfy chair not just one sofa. It was well worn and not too comfy.

Property outstanding, owners very polite and very friendly, also informative about local area and history.

Hafod Wen is truly a little gem/ Beautiful location and easy to travel round/ Never used a wood burning stove before, after Julie’s guidance was nearly a pro.

Really clean and spacious place with lovely garden/ After a bit of a scary start with my vehicle, Julie and Alan went above and beyond to help me to get it sorted so I could enjoy the rest of my holiday.

Lovely accommodation which was spotless on our arrival.

The garden was ideal for the dogs and lovely for a BBQ in the sun. Very quiet area but pretty close to shops, pub and public transport. We have already booked for the same week next year.

Spacious property, comfortable, quiet and well located for exploring Anglesey.

We enjoyed our stay as did our two Labradors and we will definitely book this property again. Lovely hosts and there if you need them. Secure garden for the dogs, fab sun trap. The only addition I’d make would be a coat stand or coat hooks on a wall, purely as somewhere to hang your wet weather gear indoors to dry after a rainy day.

We had a lovely stay, very Clean, very comfortable, Garden was lovely for our Dog.

Julie and Alan left us to our own devises, but they were always on hand if needed. Definitely recommend this for a relaxing and peace and quiet break.

Everything we needed was provided and the enclosed secure garden was beautifully kept and a safe and secure place for our dog and us to sit in and enjoy The annexe was of a very high standard and immaculate and very comfortable Our hosts provided us with milk and wine in thefridge which was very much appreciated and we will definitely return. Everything we needed, peace, quiet and lovely walks. Would certainly recommend the accommodation and hope to return. On arrival milk and wine in the fridge, which was very welcome. Alan went above and beyond when he changed our flat tyre for us and pointed us in the right direction to get a new one. Thank you so much Julie & Alan.

Had a lovely weeks stay at Hafod Wen.

The accommodation was finished to an extremely high standard and the garden was beautiful and very secure for our little dog Basil. Julie and Alan have thought of everything you might need and more!! Couldn’t fault it and will definitely be back.

Luna (the small dog) had a lovely time in a very safe enclosed garden and the property itself has everything you humans need .An extra nice touch was the flowers and wine. Julie and Allan lovely helpful hosts Red wharf bay nearby ( which allows dogs) and a Texaco garage with spar a few minutes away I would highly recommend

What a beautiful holiday home, everything to such a high standard and immaculate throughout .

We had a wonderful holiday and will be certainly returning next year . From the moment we arrived Julie and Alan made us so welcome and reassured us anything we needed help with not to hesitate asking. We messaged them a couple of times for recommendations on the island . A messaged came back straight away and never to disappoint. Wonderful stay and an absolute credit to Julie and Alan.

We have stayed at Hafod Wen several times with our dogs Prince & Rex , the enclosed garden gives peace of mind and the Annex is spotless with the added bonus of a log fire ,we always look forward to returning

A lovely luxury apartment located in rural Anglesey close to Pentraeth and Red Wharf Bay.

The garden is well kept and very secure for dogs. Many thanks to Alan and Julie for their welcome and support. Also the wine, milk and flowers were a lovely thought.

Hafod Wen is like a home from home, so comfortable and cosy.

The area is so peaceful and the night sky was amazing. The hosts were lovely and attentive, but not intrusive. We shall be back for many more visits.

A perfect home from home with everything we wanted in the annexe so we had a great weeks stay.

The owners Julie & Alan were friendly & helpful & the gift of wine was lovely thankyou. The annexe was lovely & cosy, spacious, quiet, clean & comfortable. The garden was great to sit in a sunny sheltered spot with a glass of wine & for the dog to have a wander. It was the perfect place for a quiet cosy stay to explore Anglesey.

Lovely clean and quiet, dogs were safe to go out in the garden.

Only two very small items missing. A cleaning option for tiled floor especially with dog paw marks and a pair of scissors in kitchen drawer. Alan and Julie plesent and on hand should you need any information. If your looking for a quite holiday ideal place to stay. Thanks.

The studio is very well equipped and spotlessly clean.

The bed is very comfortable and the log burner makes it very cosy (and romantic). The owners are on site and available if needed but don't interfere. We had a lovely break and plan on returning.

The studio was perfect, they made it very festive aswell and we fell in love with the log burner.

Just returned from 2 weeks at Hanford Wen feeling very relaxed.

Super clean and relaxing place to stay. Hosts are on hand (but not intrusive) and happy to help with anything you need and have a wealth of local knowledge to help you find the places you want to visit. Enclosed garden was wonderful to eat out in and out dog enjoyed the secure outdoor space. Would highly recommend this property.

This property is outstanding in every aspect facilities,cleanliness,comfort and the owners go out of there way to make your stay extremely enjoyable.

This is a beautiful property with everything that we could have possibly needed for a week.

The garden is a great size and really well enclosed for smaller dogs. Really friendly owners and a great location for visiting Anglesey and North Wales.

Immaculately clean, and everything we needed was catered for. Garden was great for the dog as it was so secure we didn’t need to worry about him. Owners are really friendly, and while close by, not intrusive. Best nights sleep we’ve had for a long time. Highly recommended. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Superb accommodation!

We took our fur baby and the enclosed garden was perfect. Nice location to explore the coastline and the cottage had everything we needed... even a dog tag with the temporary address of the holiday home x

Brilliant!

A perfect little studio for two, and our dogs. Spotlessly clean, cosy and everything you could need. Has it's own private, secure garden and parking. Just a few minutes drive from the beach and garage with shop. Very friendly and helpful hosts.

The cottage is spotlessly clean, well appointed and comfortable.

The owners are friendly, helpful but don't intrude. The log burner made the cottage very cosy, we joked about having to turn the thermostat up on our arrival home as we'd been so cosy all week. The enclosed garden was great for our dog, she was able to mooch round without us worrying she could get out. The request not to allow your dog into the bedroom is in our opinion standard and didn't worry us in the slightest, our dog slept on her bed outside the bedroom quite happily. There was a bottle of wine waiting for us in the fridge on our arrival, a lovely thought. We'll be back at some point in the future.

The one thing, I think, should be made clear in their advert is that dogs are not allowed in the bedroom.

Many of my friends actually sleep with their dogs and would have been disappointed with a night of dog protest!

This is a lovley annexe close to the beautiful dog friendly beach at Pentraeth.

when I arrived first I thought, it is very close to the owners (obviously, being an annexe!) and I wondered if I would feel private enough. But in fact I was totally able to get on with my own thing. The sound proofing is excellent, I didn't hear anything from the house next door and felt I had the lovely quiet retreat I was looking for. At the same time, when I needed help with something they were available. They were the perfect hosts.

Cleanliness was 100% All the comforts of home and more, Our Hosts were spot on ,So friendly and helpful, Carnt fault anything , will defo go back .

Immaculately clean and perfectly appointed annex, in a quiet setting but perfectly situated for exploring Anglesey and the north Wales coast.

Accommodation was perfect could not be faulted would definitely go back again.

This is a very comfortable, well equipped and cosy place to stay with a lovely suntrap, dog proof garden.

Everything is clean and new with a brilliant shower. It is ideal for touring the area and there are two good dog friendly pubs in the village. There is also a good Spar shop (as long as you don't look at the prices!) My only complaint is that there are no footpaths suitable for dog walking straight from the property. Accommodation is perfect for two people with one clean, well behaved dog.

The accommodation is of high quality and well appointed.

The comfortable garden furniture enabled us to soak up unaccustomed afternoon sun! Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. Our bicycles were housed in a secure garage. The location in a quiet hamlet gave us immediate access to quiet lanes for walking or cycling and yet the magnificent beach at Red Wharf Bay was barely three miles away and the Waitrose at Menai Bridge about 5 miles maximum. We had a truly memorable stay and not just from escaping the cabin fever of lock-down!

We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Anglesey in this superbly appointed studio.

Thank you Julie and Alan for your friendly welcome, all the thoughtful goodies left for us (especially the delicious Bara Brith) and treats for the dogs. The weather was mostly very kind to us and we did a lot of great circular walks: Holyhead mountain and South Stack;, Ynis Llanddwyn, Newborough Forest and dunes with stunning Snowdonia backdrop; Point Lynas where we sat and were rewarded with a priceless, magical display of dolphins; Lliggwy and Moelfre where we enjoyed scrumptious scones at Ann’s Pantry; Cemaes bay to Llanbadrig little church and Porth Wen. We found it the most dramatic and remote coastal scenery with high, steep cliffs and sometimes challenging paths. On our last day in Beaumaris, it was sadly raining heavily and we thought the best option was to go back “home” earlier and sit by the log burner with a good book. The dog friendly and accommodating Panton Arms in Pentraeth served some good, reasonably priced food and the Spar supermarket opposite is useful. They stock the very good Cook frozen dishes for a lazy evening dinner at home. Anglesey is a little gem and we certainly recommend Hafod Wen for its modern comfort and peaceful location.

The place was so spotless & comfortable , the people that owns were so kind always asking if there anything we need.

Superb accommodation in a peaceful setting.

This one bedroom studio apartment is immaculate. The owners live next door and are available if required and very helpful. A basket containing a welcome pack was left for us with treats for our dog too. Lovely white bedding and fluffy white towels, the shower is amazing! The log burner is fast to warm up if needed and underfloor heating keeps your feet warm. Parking space and a safe enclosed garden for our dog. Dogs tags with accommodation details also provided by the owners which is a brilliant idea. Close to all attractions in Anglesey and lovely to return to after a busy day. Great nights sleep too.

Fantastic surprise that garden was fully secure for our dogs. Parking immediately outside the gate which was convenient. The owner had kindly left fresh cake and butter which was delicious. Wonderful stay.

Brilliant luxury accommodation.

Lovely welcome pack plus a bottle of bubbly as it was our honeymoon. Hosts were at hand if we needed them but didn’t. Fantastic enclosed garden for our dogs. Situated out of Pentraeth in the countryside but good base for days outs and shops/pubs not too far away. Only down side....we had to leave. Would visit again.

Everything at the apartment was top class and our hosts Julie and Alan went out of their way to make our holiday perfect this included a welcome pack with lots of essentials like milk, butter and sachets of various sauces, a beautiful cake and even a treat for our dog.

The enclosed garden was safe for the dog and there were places to sit and eat out side too. Having access to the internet at the apartment was also a bonus. Anglesey has some fantastic beaches and places to visit, we had a great holiday and would highly recommend using Sykes cottages to all our friends and anyone else for that matter who would prefer a relaxing holiday in great accommodation.

We had the most perfect week in Anglesey, the cottage was beautiful, spotlessly clean and very well equipped.

The location was central to all nearby visitor locations and the owners was so accommodating and couldn't do enough for us, they even gave us a lift to the pub one night, we would 100% recommend and will defiantly be back.

This accommodation is 5 star, the owners are very friendly and just next door if you need anything.

Pet friendly with an enclosed garden so no worries. Lovely white bedding and fluffy white towels, powerful shower is great. A welcome pack is supplied along with treats for the dog. There are beautifully clean dog friendly beaches and great walks. Booking again very soon.

Modern, stylish and comfortable with everything we needed. Most importantly the garden was totally enclosed so we could relax and not have to worry about the dog escaping. The location was great - near good dog friendly beaches, the places we like to eat, a garage and local supermarkets. The owners were very friendly and helpful if we needed anything like extra wood. The welcome basket was a nice touch with treats for humans and dogs. We have been going to Anglesey for years and this is the best place we have stayed in.
