The Yatt

We had a great stay at the Yatt, the house is ideally positioned to explore the whole of the North coast.

Plenty of room on the driveway for parking of 2 cars which is a bonus The house is very spacious with ample room for our party of 6. The kitchen is well equipped for preparation of family meals with plenty of storage. There were some areas of the house that could do with some maintenance and updating but it did not detract from our lovely stay. If we were ever coming back to the area we would certainly book the Yatt again.

We had a wonderful stay at the Yatt, downstairs bed was amazing!

A beautiful property. However sadly the main oven didn't work and is in need of a major clean. The recycling bins were very full and stuff in the wrong order I know this is obviously previous guests but it made it difficult for us to recycle. I was very surprised there was no welcome gift or pack. And we only just managed to get our VW through the concrete post and on to the drive. I hope you will find this as constructive information.

It wasn't very clean.

Dusty - someone with bad asthma could have a problem. There were no toilet brushes or cleaner in either bathroom. Very liitle space to put one's toiletries. In the shower, there was only the floor. We bought special bleach for the kitchen drain/sink. Apparently the owner is "remote". The cleaners are taking advantage of this and basically just giving it a hoover and wipe a round. The cleanliness fell way below the standards of other Sykes cottages we have rented in Somerset, Yorkshire and Cornwall.

Brilliant holiday cottage!

Had a super time and booked for next year! Very clean and had all the amenities we could need for family and two young children. Location great and loved walking/jogging on the front into Rhos on sea. Also loved watching the golfers.

Lucky with weather, what a great house, I do think some previous guests have been a little unfair with reviews.

Yes, like any large house, a few small problems, fridge door handle useless but can still open it, downstairs toilet seat very loose but fine with care, just enjoy the space, bedrooms fine, downstairs one is perfect for anyone. Outside rear garden fine, again, like most rentals weather helps. A great little cove just to the left, tide permitting, easy level walks to Rhos centre and Colwyn Bay, and to Llandudno, though a good 80 min walk, worth it, what a massive Promenade that is, with kids, take advantage of the huge outdoor pool as you enter Llandudno, weather helps obviously! Please do walk from house to Angel Bay along the beach, 25 min ish, above the cove watching the seals, brilliant. All in all, well pleased with the property, oh, Sunday lunch at the Golf Club 2 min walk, book for around 1pm, was quiet then, great carvery.

Great location - close to stony beach but not far to a sandy one.

Nice pub close by. Suited our whole family group with bedroom and facilities downstairs as well as up, and cot included in the family room. Lovely big hallway, great when initially bringing in all your luggage. Nice bit of garden next to the golf course.

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at The Yatt when we came to visit family who live in the Rhos on Sea area.

We were a family of six adults and two children and there was plenty of space. The beds are very comfortable. Plenty of space in the lounge and kitchen for all of us. I would definitely book The Yatt again and the only reason I have marked the 'cleanliness' down is that when we arrived there was a fridge full of old food from the previous occupants and also a big plea to sort out the recycling bins which were full when we arrived and therefore we found it difficult to recycle our own waste. The instructions for recycling need updating.

Lovely property, but needs some TLC.

Light bulbs need to be replaced. Light in the fridge didn't work, carpet very dirty covered in long black hairs, Mix up with the cleaning crew. Walked in to find my bed had been slept in, dirty towels in the bathtub, bins full, windowsils covered in a wet mold, pee in the loo. Downstairs toilet fills very slowly. Takes almost 20 minutes to refill. In a house fitted for 8 people that can cause a problem. After a phone call the cleaner came in to clean the downstairsbathroom. I stripped and made my own bed. We cleaned out the kitchen ourselves before the cleaner came. It is a wonderful house which needs a deepclean. Maybe if you book it early in the season tou'll find it in pristene condition.

The location of the property is great but it needs some tlc.

It was rated outstanding which was very misleading. There didn't appear to be a washing line only a rusty clothes airer in the garage. There was nowhere to hang wet coats. I couldn't find a teapot. The shower head in the upstairs bathroom was held on with electrical tape. The was peeling wallpaper in the lounge. It's been a while since the skirting boards or under the twin beds were given a good clean. Having said that the beds were comfortable and it is a very spacious house. I feel slightly cheated by the ratings. I've been a customer of Sykes for decades now and feel that this is one of the less well equipped places we have stayed.

This is our second time at this property.

Last year I raised the issue of the door handle on the shower room coming off on the inside and one of our party almost getting locked in. Disappointed that the problem had not been resolved. Apart from that the usual niggles that the pillows were hard and flat, the bottom sheet on the bed downstairs was too small to fit under. Also one of our party is allergic to feathers, so it would have been useful to have been warned that the duvet was feather and down. The week before our holiday I phoned the owner and asked about an iron and clothes dryer. I was told that there was an iron, but couldn’t find it and the washing machine in the kitchen was also a dryer, it isn’t. There is a tumble dryer in the garage but did not look very clean or in good condition. Besides that our holiday was good.

Great location & well equipped house for an extended family or group of friends.

We had a great time celebrating NYE & all being together. A couple of things would have made things even better: •a few sachets of coffee/tea bags & a pint of milk to have a hot drink on arrival - it is dark at this time of year at 4 pm & the weather was horrendous so this would have been welcoming & appreciated- I have never stayed in a rental property ever where tea/coffee has not been provided & many properties even provide a welcome pack or cake etc •readily visible instructions for heating/gas fire/TV in lounge & practical info on nearest shop etc would have been appreciated •bins were overflowing from previous guests & we ended up tidying up their mess outside which had been blown around by the wind & bin had not been put back on its holder •bathroom door handle inside upstairs needs replacing as it comes off in your hand every time & rug in lounge curling up at each end and dangerous trip hazard for elderly guests Other than these few observations, we had a great time! Thank you!

Good location, good size accommodation, and would highly recommend.

Loved this property.

Nice and spacious. Nice sized downstairs bedroom for my disabled grandfather. Only negative was no walk in shower in the downstairs bathroom for him, but this did not spoil our time. We'll equipped properly with good views. Had everything we needed for our stay. We couldn't have asked for more. The property it situated well to many tourist attractions. We would all highly recommend staying at the Yatt if you are looking for accommodation in the area.

3rd time at the Yatt, has everything we need for a great family holiday

The property was very good just had a few problems.

The kettle leaked and could have caused an electric problem so let the owner know while we were there. Kitchen tap continuously dripped again the owner was informed. Perhaps a notice should be put on the sink waste disposal not to be used. We found it but didn’t use it. The door knobs on the upstairs doors need to be looked at. The one on the shower door came off and could have trapped my nephew inside. Could not get sky on TV and could not get any station on TV in downstairs bedroom. We still had a good holiday. Thanks.

The cottage was spacious for a large family or a number of couples.

The views over the golf course and the beach were wonderful. The position of the cottage was easily accessible to a umber of attractions. Despite being on a main road,it was quiet and peaceful. An excellent place for a holiday.

2nd time at this property,ideal for a family holiday, great bedrooms and kitchen, good having bathrooms on both levels, only slight negative is the garden furniture could do with updating.

Lovely and spacious, just as described.

A perfect space for family time. The beach is a 30-50 minute level walk down the sea front and the Rhos on Sea crazy golf, cafes and pretty harbour 30 minutes. If you are just looking for views, the other direction is even nearer to a lovely lookout seat and also a cafe. Inside the ground floor is all on the level, two small steps into the garden and two even smaller steps into the house - all manageable by wheelchair or zimmer (we took a ramp for the back steps.) Person needs to walk (with zimmer if needed) from ground floor bed to ground floor bathroom which is across the large hallway. Groundfloor bathroom not really spacious enough for a wheelchair but a portable commode would be all you need to make the property manageable for someone who could transfer only. My parents viewed the golf course like it was a massive movie screen! :)

We had a wonderful stay.

The house is spacious, very comfortable and it has a lovely outlook. If anything the photos in the listing dont do the house justice.

The Yatt is a lovely property with really large rooms and is really well equipped; the owner was very friendly and accommodating.

The only points I'd mark it down on is the lack of shaver/electric toothbrush points in the bathrooms and I feel it's worth mentioning that the beach opposite isn't a sandy beach and is full of large boulders, presumably as a sea defence. The property is walking distance from Rhos on Sea and it's only a few miles drive to Llandudno, Conwy and Bodnant Gardens which are all worth a visit.

The Yatt was the perfect holiday home for our family , myself, husband , daughter, son-in-law , 7yr granddaughter and 21mths grandson.

Being disabled having a downstairs bedroom and bathroom was ideal. The house was very clean and had everything we needed, our beds were extremely comfortable and all rooms were quite spacious. It was also very conveniently situated. We were not far from Llandudno for a lovely beach. We went on several trips, the scenery around Mount Snowdonia is stunning and worth a visit. Highly recommend the Beach cafe bar within walking distance but need to book! We would definitely book The Yatt again.

Super place for a family seaside holiday - one or two minor problems but all sorted quickly with the friendly owner

The Yatt is ideally located for travelling in North Wales.

The outlook to the front was out to sea and the rear over the golf course. All rooms were well appointed. In the price range the property would benefit from a welcome pack as local shops are not easy to find.

The property and the location are wonderful, easy walk into Rhos-on-Sea because it's nice and flat and just a 10 minute drive to Llandudno.

There were 6 adults staying in the property and there was plenty of room. The views from the front and back of the property are stunning, I wanted to pick the house up and bring it home. The back garden which overlooks the golf course is a proper sun trap even in mid April. Maybe could do with a bigger toaster and some comfier chairs, but everything else was perfect. Will definitely be returning in the future as we love the area.

We really enjoyed our stay.

It didn’t seem clear that the (Orange ) General Waste bin goes out every week so we didn’t put it out. The listing says the property has WiFi. Although this is true the listing should say that its not very good WiFi. With download speeds of 1.0mbps this is really poor in this day and age and frankly if I’d have known I wouldn’t have booked this property. This is the reason for 4 and not 5 stars.

The Yatt is a lovely relaxing, very spacious house, it is very well equipped, clean and comfortable.

The location is perfect with lovely views front and back. We would definitely stay here again.

The Yatt is a beautiful property, ideally situated facing the sea in the pretty coastal village of Rhos on Sea.

Rhos is a bustling village with a large variety of shops and eateries but also has beautiful scenery, fabulous walks and lots of amenities to suit everybody. The property has spectacular views to the front and rear. The kitchen is the hub of the house, is well resourced, comfortable and the perfect place to catch up with family. The spacious lounge has stunning views and is well equipped with additional family games. There is lots of space for children to play safely inside and out. The beds are very comfortable and bathrooms bright and modern. It's the perfect place to enjoy a family holiday, long weekend or for family to just get together. I would recommend the property, however, Sykes customer service and efficiency require a considerable amount of work

THE STAY AT THE YATT WAS VERY GOOD, VERY SPACIOUS AND THE VIEWS WERE GREAT.

OUT OF THE DOWN STAIRS LOUNGE AND BEDROOM, THE VIEWS OF THE GOLF COURSE WERE LOVELY, AND FROM UPSTAIRS THE VIEW OF THE SEA WAS GREAT.WE HAD A LOVELY TIME AT THE YATT. THERE WERE A COUPLE OF HIC-UPS, BUT THE LADY I SPOKE TOO WAS VERY HELPFUL, AND GOT THINGS SORTED. IT WAS A PITY SHE COULD NOT SORT THE WEATHER OUT, AS IT WAS DREADFUL AT TIMES.STILL WE ENJOYED OUR STAY,IT WAS VERY COMFORTABLE.

This property's amazing so much room and everything you need for a great holiday

The house had the best equipped kitchen of any I have ever stayed in.

Alongside all the usual appliances/white goods there was a slowcooker and coffee machine etc. Tea towels and oven gloves were also provided though we had brought our own and there were cleaning products under the sink also provided. (Again we brought our own )lots of cutlery, pans, baking trays, prep tools provided. They had thought of everything even spare lightbulbs. The bedrooms were beautiful and very spacious with fantastic views. My only complaint is that there were no blinds in the 2 bathrooms. Very handy location only a few minutes from Llandudno or Colwyn Bay.

Location, lovely bungelow have stopped here last year and also booked for 2022.

Unfortunately the previous occupants missed the recycling green bins on Friday, all items were mixed and not in proper trays.

we had to flatten numerous aluminium cans to make space for our recycling and shuffle items into proper allocation of glass, cardboard and paper. Not a big problem but perhaps a better clearer explanation of times to put bins onto front i.e. the night before collection day would help. Also no hairdryer provided but again no problem as we had brought our own, someone else may not do that. No two pin plug point to recharge electric shaver. A bit picky points but may help next occupants. A nice holiday though!

the house is in a lovely position with views over the golf course and hills and the sea from the front upstairs windows.

it is a very spacious home however there were some difficulties. the quilts on the beds are far too thick, impossible to use in the summer months, although the beds are comfortable. the fridge in the kitchen is small, but also not fastened in correctly, so moves about and sometimes it is difficult to shut the door, resulting in it being left ajar and wet shelves, plus the food not being as cold as it should be. the back up table top fridge in the garage was unusable, due to it being mouldy inside. when we arrived the door knob came off the bathroom upstairs, with a child inside. we had to fix it. the table in the lounge, which should unfold, has a broken leg, so was unusable and we would have liked to use it for a jigsaw. there was no large pan, and for a group of 7, it made cooking difficult. it was nice to have the slow cooker however. there was also a lack of basic utensils, whisk, mixing bowl and knives weren't sharp. pegs were provided but no washing line, so we had to dry clothes indoors. the hoover was broken when we arrived, but we let the owners know and they replaced it within 2 days. we did enjoy the holiday, but it would be great to fix the issues we mentioned.

The holiday house is nice and spacious and comfortable.

One thing to be aware of though is that the beach which is across the road from it is not sandy, but rocky with some very big rocks to negotiate if you want to go down onto it, which made it unsuitable to take our three year old on. Further on around the coast past the town of Rhos on Sea the beach gets sandy, but it is too far to walk to if you have young children in the party that need a lot of support equipment.

It has spacious rooms, all the required facilities and it is in a great location.

Immaculately refurbished house, amazingly large hall which gives access to lounge, kitchen, downstairs bedroom and bathroom - all large, as well as 3 further bedrooms and toilet/shower room upstairs.

Views of golf course from back garden. Everything necessary in kitchen including tea, coffee, washing up liquid etc. More than adequate for eight of us. Wish we could have taken the house home with us

Had a lovely holiday.

We had to leave early due to local lockdown but would certainly stay here again.

The yattt was perfect for us, spacious, clean, welcoming and very comfortable.

We followed advice re COVID about bringing additional items but everything was there that we needed.
