“It was a lovely cottage, it was very handy having 2 bathrooms.”

There were plenty plates and glasses but no scissors. You will need to bring your own washing up liquid, coffee, tea etc. I know some cottages have supplied these items when we have stopped in other cottages. Apart from that we had a great stay.

“We enjoyed our time here in the Cottage.”

The beds and pillows were so comfortable. The Swallows flying around were amazing, quiet and peaceful setting. Had a problem with Cooker, in 15 minutes it was resolved by Lynsey the Owner. It would help if in the Welcome pack, there was instructions for using 1. The Cooker, 2, The Washer, 3, dishwasher, although we don't use one, and 4 The Shower. This is a suggestion by no means a criticism. Basic equipment, we needed a colander, roasting tin, shower mat ( we brought one, after finding that people took them home), Husband has a foot injury, so was frightened of slipping. I cannot do without a washing up bowl, personal preference. We would certainly go back to this Cottage, beautiful area, lovely farm and best of all, friendly welcoming owners. Lynsey you were amazing. Hope to see you soon.

The extractor in the front bathroom did not work . Curtains in front bedroom need hanging corrctly one end was fastned on with the string as hooks into rings were missing Also there was a mop but no bucket Floors needed a good sweep especially the stairs and under the beds

“Good position for visiting North Wales.”

Property clean and comfortable. Could do with a little maintenance in places. Anyone booking this property bring all the essentials and you won't be dissapointed as it is lacking in what we have been provided with in other properties. A shelf in the en-suites to put your toiletries would be useful and somewhere in the shower for your shampoo and shower gel. Would also be useful to have more than 4 mugs.

Lovely thoughtful hosts The views are overwhelming I’m originally from North Wales moved to Canada in 1982 come back every few years And this time with my daughter and I’ve never been happier. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, however there were a few niggles; the travel cot (which we requested) was missing from the property when we arrived, the tv remote was not working so we couldn’t use the tv for a day until it was replaced, and we discovered that one of the bedside draws had been left full of used tissues.

In the past we have had oven cloth and teatowel provided, so didn't take any, luckily we don't do any cooking while away, just have breakfast. Was also looking forward to the little food basket that we have got in the past, but the wine was a nice touch. Thank you for a lovely stay and we will be back soon.

It is very well equipped, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Everyone on the farm is very friendly too. It’s an excellent base for exploring North Wales with easy access to the A55 Expressway and there is plenty to do in the area. We will definitely return sometime, we really love our holidays here.

“Lovely stay!”

We left having had a brilliant week in a fantastic rural property. A few small bits of feedback. (1) Wi-Fi was very intermittent with none of the smart TV services connecting (2) The showers were incredibly noisy downstairs (3) Not enough glasses (4) Very blunt knives in the kitchen - an accident waiting to happen (5) No instructions for the appliances - we worked them out through trial and error but instructions would have been easier. None of the above affected our stay very much at all.

No trays or oven proof dishes to use the oven kettle burnt your hand as it leaked steam. Through the handle. Some doors had warped so didn’t close. One bedroom had a skylight with no shade so room was full of light at 5 in the morning Had leak on first morning reported this but next they I’m mopping this up before breakfast Final straw was ants all over the living room With a small baby this is not acceptable when I informed the landlord we were leaving there was no sorry just I will have to have a look at it.

We enjoyed walks up Great & Little Orme, Aber Falls, around Betws-y-coed, Conwy Castle & of course Llandudno prom. The cottage itself was ‘home from home’, perfect for 2 friends to enjoy peace & quiet, each with our own personal space of double bedroom with en-suite, a well equipped kitchen & dining area and a cosy sitting room with a large TV (for the football!). The supermarket in Abergele was perfect to stock the week’s supply. A surprise basket of goodies was so appreciated on arrival. We would certainly recommend these cottages for families, two couples or like us two friends wanting to visit the area. Thankyou for our ‘chilled out’ stay in your lovely home.

The rate was extremely competitive, the rooms/bathrooms were very clean and all of the required amenities were in place. I would certainly use Bwthyn Y Wennol again, highly recommended!

“General cleanliness excellent and good showers.”

Decent t.v. Cooker etc very good. Lacks a little in pots and pans but we coped ok. After we bought a chopping board and a baking tray. So the cottage has those now. Could do with a frying pan as the existing one is small and for some reason I never fathomed doesn’t conduct heat on the electric hob . All in all a lovely place to stay. The flying displays from the swallows was delightful and so nice to see the calf’s in the paddock.

The owners provided us with a lovely Christmas basket of goodies and milk, tea etc was provided as well. The only issues were there was a leak from the shower pump and a dripping tap in the kitchen and it wasn't possible to link up to the smart TV. However, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone.

Kitchen well stocked with utensils etc and a very useful welcome basket kindly left for us. The only reason it didn’t score top marks was that the mattresses were very uncomfortable, particularly the one in the back bedroom. Take your own mattress topper and you won’t go wrong.

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.”

The location itself is beautiful, set on the farm and being able to walk around with the children to see the animals in the fields was just lovely. The views for miles were gorgeous. Thankfully we had some lovely warm evenings and were able to sit outside to eat and enjoy the scenery. The cottage itself was very homely and spacious for a family of 4. Very nicely decorated and the bedrooms were perfect and a good size. The location is perfect distance from beaches, many tourist attractions and lots of countryside walks. The only slight niggles we have are that the sky light in one of the bedrooms did not have a blind which made the room very bright and difficult for the children to sleep and woke very early. The window was far too high to attach a travel blind. The sofas were also quite uncomfortable and the WiFi was very intermittent. Communication with the owners via the mobile number in the welcome book was poor as we texted for a fresh bed sheet due to one of us becoming ill, and had no response. The store room could also do with an update as the Children’s games were incomplete and the tumble dryer hard to get to due to too much in its way. Like I said these were only slight niggles for us as we loved our stay here and will definitely consider returning. It’s an ideal place to rent all 4 cottages for large family gatherings which is what we would consider next. We had a brilliant time, thank you!

Absolutely loved the shower but not the oven (didn't seem to warm up well). We had a lovely time and found our property very comfortable - the only thing I'd say is that we had a sky light in our bedroom with no blind/curtain (possibly as it was very high) the early morning light streamed into our room at 5am ish and we just didn't sleep well as a result. When I reported it, the owners said they would look into a blind but that no one else had ever complained.

The inside decor is excellent and it was great to have an ensuite for each bedroom. The outside area was also lovely. Very clean and tidy considering it is a farm. Although it was a long way travel for us down in Wiltshire, our friends coming from Leicester it was worth it and we had a super holiday. Thank You.

“The countryside surrounding this property was beautiful.”

The owners were helpful and friendly as were the neighbours. Although the property was on a farm it was very peaceful. There was a small village nearby with a small shop . Next to the shop was the local chippy which we used on our last evening. The location is within easy reach of the beach and only a few miles to various other attractions.

The property

This well-equipped cottage has been converted from traditional barns into a tastefully furnished, character holiday cottage, providing couples and small families with a stylish homely base from which to enjoy the surrounding countryside and coast.

The living room is spacious and airy with an open plan kitchen and dining room, split by an inviting breakfast bar.

The comfortable sitting room with corner sofa and oak beam ceiling joists offers a lovely place to sit and relax into the evening.

The bedrooms are both first floor, with two double rooms each enjoying the luxury of private en-suite facilities and character sloping ceilings studded with original beams.

Picnic tables outside offer a relaxing space to enjoy the surrounding countryside and get to know the neighbouring guests.

This charming cottage is a superb destination from which to explore the delights of the North Wales Coast.

Bryn Ffanigl Ganol Cottages

Abergele 3 miles. A selection of stone-built, fully converted farm stables, part of a row of four cottages, set behind the owners’ livestock farm in Dolwen, 3 miles from Abergele on the Colwyn Bay coast in North Wales. All of these cottages have been renovated to a very good standard, yet retain a traditional, farmhouse character feel throughout, with exposed beams and stable doors. They share a communal front courtyard with private patio area and furniture and are in a great touring location, ideal for exploring the beautiful North Wales coastline and the many activities on offer in the area. There is ample walking and cycling in this peaceful location, and within a short drive are the beautiful sandy beaches at Colwyn Bay and Abergele. There is access to a golf course only 4 minutes' away, and several good riding schools in the vicinity, plus you are ideally placed for discovering the Welsh Mountain Zoo, Bodnant Gardens and the Snowdonia National Park. These cottages really are in an ideal location to explore North Wales at its best.

ABERGELE

Colwyn Bay 6 miles; Llandudno 12 miles; Conwy 12 miles.

The pleasant seaside town of Abergele stands on the lovely North Wales coastline and is ideally positioned between the stunning Vale of Clwyd and the lovely Conwy Valley. Renowned for the impressive Gwrych Castle which overlooks the town, and its enormous sandy beach, the whole area offers safe bathing waters and excellent watersports facilities. There is also a coastal cycle path which runs along the Abergele seafront, and for walking enthusiasts, the Offa's Dyke pathway, the Clwydian Hill Range and beautiful Betws-y-Coed known as the "Gateway to Snowdonia" are all nearby. The beautiful castles of Rhuddlan, Bodelwyddan, Conwy and Caernarfon are not to be missed, and the delightful award-winning Victorian town of Llandudno, offering quality shops, restaurants, a fantastic dry ski slope and exciting cable car rides over the Great Orme, is within easy driving distance. There is plenty to do in this wonderful region at any time of the year!
