    “We had a lovely stay at Ysgubor Barn.”

    The location was idyllic and it was very peaceful. The barn was with stocked everything you would need for a self catering stay. We also really enjoyed the hot tub. The only downside was the living room furniture wasn't very comfortable and could do with an upgrade. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and we would rebook.

The property

Ysgubor is the larger of the two semi-detached cottages and is suitable for six people.

There are three lovely bedrooms, comprising a king-size double, a double and twin room, with the benefits of a ground floor bedroom and shower room for the less mobile if required, as well as a first floor family bathroom.

The living space is bright, airy and open plan with a fitted kitchen and comfy corner seat sofa in the sitting area with a welcoming dining area and patio doors that open onto the enclosed patio.

The property is on a small holding.

This space offers a lovely sun trap to sit and relax enjoying the country views over pastureland before hopping in the hot tub for a relaxing soak.

Tyn Y Caeau Uchaf Cottages

Betws yn Rhos, 1.6 miles. These pretty semi-detached cottages are set in beautiful north Welsh countryside on the owner's working cattle and sheep farm near the village of Betws yn Rhos. Offering welcoming, open plan living accommodation the cottages are ideal for those looking to get away from it all in a lovely peaceful country environment, but with fantastic, exciting days out within easy reach. Both cottages have their own patio with a hot tub which is a fantastic place to relax after a day spent exploring the area. Due to their rural location, you can enjoy evenings star gazing and if you are lucky you may see the passing International Space Station which is frequently observed in its orbit above the cottage. There is an abundance of wildlife in the area. Nearby Betws yn Rhos is a peaceful village with all the local amenities you could need including a shop and a friendly village pub. These cottages are in an ideal location for visiting popular North Wales coastal villages and towns including Colwyn Bay, Llandudno and Abergele. With castles, fantastic walks and cycle routes and a number of other attractions nearby, this is an ideal base with something for everyone.

Betws yn Rhos is a peaceful Welsh village with a local village shop, Post Office and friendly village pub which offers quality dining, real ales, games room and dog-friendly beer garden. The Silver Birch golf course is a welcoming Pay and Play 18-hole course, which is also home to the first 18-hole Footgolf in Wales, suitable for all ages and skills. Within 4 miles you will find the sandy beaches and coastal path leading from Colwyn Bay, through Llanddulas and into Abergele, which is a pleasant seaside town on the lovely North Wales coastline and is ideally positioned between the stunning Vale of Clwyd and the lovely Conwy Valley. Renowned for the impressive Gwrych Castle which overlooks the town and its enormous sandy beach, the whole area offers safe bathing waters and excellent watersports facilities. There is also a coastal cycle path which runs along the Abergele seafront, and for walking enthusiasts, the Offa's Dyke pathway, the Clwydian Hill Range and beautiful Betws-y-Coed known as the "gateway to Snowdonia" with Zip World and Surf Snowdonia all within easy travelling distance. The beautiful castles of Rhuddlan, Bodelwyddan, Conwy and Caernarfon are not to be missed, and the delightful Victorian town of Llandudno, offering quality shops, restaurants, a fantastic dry ski slope and exciting cable car rides over the Great Orme is nearby.
