“The cabin was not finished; it was just painted plyboard.”

There were not enough utensils in the cabin, and there were cobwebs everywhere. The hot tub had a bad leak. There was no cold water in the bathroom, and we later found out that the bathroom taps did not work. The outside space was okay. We could not find the “fishing round the corner” or the walks “around the corner”.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback following your stay. Our cabins are intentionally finished in this style, with the wall coverings designed to create a rustic, cabin-style feel, and this has generally been well received by other guests. However, we do appreciate that this may not have met your expectations on this occasion. All utensils across our properties were fully replaced around three weeks ago. If anything was missing during your stay, we would have been very happy to provide a replacement, but we will carry out further checks to ensure everything is fully stocked. We’re sorry to hear about the cobwebs; these can appear quite quickly in countryside settings, but we can assure you the property was thoroughly cleaned prior to your arrival. We have since checked the hot tub and have not identified any leaks. Had this been raised during your stay, we would have arranged for it to be inspected at the time. Thank you for bringing the issue with the bathroom tap to our attention during your stay — we’re pleased we were able to arrange for a plumber to attend and resolve this promptly. There is fishing available close to the site, and being in North Wales, there are also plenty of walks accessible nearby. The site itself is spacious, with a number of green areas and pathways for guests to enjoy. We do appreciate your feedback, as it helps us continue to improve the experience for future guests. About the location

ST ASAPH

Denbigh 6 miles; Chester 28 miles.

St Asaph, though small, was awarded city status in 2012, even though it boasts a population of little over 3500 occupants. Lying in the Vale of Clwyd, six miles between Denbigh and the coastal town of Rhyl, in North Wales, St Asaph enjoys a strategic location overlooking the rivers Clwyd and Elwy. The city offers delightful riverside parkland and a children’s play area with picturesque river walks where you may see kingfishers, sparrow hawks and buzzards. St Asaph is home to a historic cathedral, dating back 1400 years in areas and holding the reputation of being the smallest, ancient cathedral in Britain. It is also renowned as the location where the Bible was translated into Welsh in the 16th century. In September, the city comes alive with the arrival of the North Wales International Music festival, which takes place across numerous locations, culminating for the last few years in a television finale, broadcast from the cathedral. St Asaph offers numerous amenities and activities, from traditional pubs, to gastronomic dining experiences, numerous craft and gift shops and local clubs offering a 9-hole golf course, horse riding, angling, and crown green bowling, as well as a thriving leisure centre and the Tweedmill Retail Outlet.
