Trem Y Wyddfa
Description
Trem Y Wyddfa is a welcoming single-storey cottage, set in seven acres of open countryside with panoramic views of the spectacular Snowdon Mountain Range, making it an extremely scenic base from which to explore this beautiful area of Wales as a couple, family, or a group of friends.
Sitting on the outskirts of Gaerwen, in easy reach of the village of Llanfairpwll too, it makes the perfect base for exploring the scenic and historic Isle of Anglesey.
Venture into the charming open-plan living space where an electric stove awaits to warm you up after your days of adventure, where you can rest within the contemporary space with the wall-mounted television against the characterful exposed stone wall providing your entertainment for the evening.
At the other end of the room rests the monochrome kitchen, hosting a good range of appliances for your self-catered stay, including an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and even a convenient washing machine, perfect for a holiday filled with outdoor exploration.
End each day within the comfort of one of the two beautiful bedrooms, choosing from the master double and a twin, offering a homely interior and a flexible sleeping arrangement no matter who you’re holidaying with.
The two bedrooms are served by a wonderful wet room, fit with a walk-in shower with a convenient shower chair and a free-standing toilet with raised toilet seat, suited to a variety of personal needs in this all-ground-floor abode.
Outside you will find a pleasant patio area where you can sit out beneath the evening sun and dine alfresco whilst making the most of your scenic views of the Snowdonia Mountains.
Resting outside of the village of Gaerwen where you can find a good host of amenities for your self-catered stay, the property is ideally located for visiting the many places of interest on the island and mainland Wales; explore the local village with its inviting pub, convenient stores and traditional fish and chip shop, or if you’re seeking even more amenities make your way into Llanfairpwllgwyngyll, abbreviated from one of the longest place names in the world, here you will find the National Trust wonder of Plas Newydd House and Gardens, boasting an impressive mansion, spring garden and Australisian arboretum with views across the Menai Straits over to the mountains, or choose to venture across the Menai Bridge yourself to explore the beauty of the National Park up close in mainland Wales, with ample opportunities for walking and cycling, the mountain peak of Carnedd Llewelyn lying within easy reach for those seeking adventure and scenery like no other.
Roam the 125-mile coastal path of Anglesey, with plenty of wonderful attractions and heritage spots to uncover along the way, with the Pili Palas Nature World, Foel Farm Park, Anglesey Model Village and so much more!
Trem Y Wyddfa is a wonderful place to enjoy what this part of North Wales has to offer at any time of the year.

What guests are saying
Really helpful & friendly husband & wife team run this series of well equipped cottages in North Wales.
Beautiful cottage close to Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogo railway station.
Driving access to Caernarfon for the all day steam train, Llandudno for tram, road train and cable car to Summit of Great Orme. Can’t fault the accommodation at all, beautiful views and a great base.
We had a lovely stay.
The property has a charming hostess who welcomed us on arrival and made sure that we were settled and knew useful information like the programmed central heating times. We were also welcomed to ask if we needed to change these during our stay. I am a wheelchair user with some limited mobility indoors, travelling with my husband, and the property met our needs perfectly. It is just right for two people wanting a small and cozy base from which to explore the beautiful Island of Mon (Anglesey).
