Fabulous cottage, location to the whole of Anglesey was perfect.

The inside is a lovely open plan area with plenty of furniture and lovely cushions for the outside furniture. Two fridges is always very helpful. Love the fact it is tucked away from the main road, you feel like you are totally in the countryside. Great outdoor area to sit and chill in, perfect for the dog too as secure. Lovely field and orchard to walk the dog in too with very funny cow's saying hello in the morning. Plenty of Supermarkets within driving distance. Hosts were lovely and friendly, a cottage we will definitely use again.

Lovely cottage, spacious, well equipped and clean with very comfortable beds.

Nice welcome pack. Convenient parking directly outside. Properly enclosed garden was perfect for us with a small dog and additional green spaces, as well as a long driveway (with a useful waste bin at the end by the bus stop), was enough for morning and before bedtime walkies. Location is ideal for exploring Anglesey and Snowdonia, everywhere was within easy reach. Having read the previous comments we packed a lightweight patio umbrella and we were glad we did, as it was hot and sunny all week, and there is no shade in the garden. We also took a hook-over shower caddy as the lack of this had also been mentioned. Those two items would be good additions to the property, along with a full length mirror, but overall it was excellent. Would definitely recommend.

This was by far the best secure dog friendly property we have stayed in.

The secure field adjacent was also an added bonus albeit a rabbit haven!!. The lovely owners introduced themselves and then let us be unless we needed anything. We certainly didn't as it was a perfect home from home in every way. A lovely welcome pack awaited us , there was ample parking, it was very tastefully decorated and furnished and blissfully peaceful. I would definitely recommend.

1 Mountain View is the perfect base for exploring the island.

It was immaculate on arrival and the welcome pack with a bottle of bubbly was just the icing on the cake. Comfy beds and everything you could need is supplied. It's so quiet we had a fantastic rest. We could not recommend it more. Looking forward to going back. Scott and Karen.

Lovely property ideal for children or dog owners as fully enclosed garden, large field as well for burning off energy.

Deceptively large, plenty of kitchen gadgets, small built in fridge but also a large fridge freezer. Only criticism is the shower cubical, it is small. Excellent location for exploring Anglesey. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again

Wonderful stay overall at 1 Mountain View.

Our first time on Anglesey and definitely won't be our last. Centrally located cottage so furthest drive was 30 minutes away on relatively quiet roads. Cottage was impeccably clean and cosy and beds and bedding are high quality. Great WiFi reception. Enclosed large garden was great for our dog to be able to trot in and out. Welcome pack was great - no need for a shopping trip after journey, but not far from facilities at Llangefni. Just a few minor points, which would not stop us returning. The heating in the lounge makes very loud clunking noises when coming on and cooling down. Knife block only had 2 knives in. The shower is listed as 'walk in'. It is a shower cubicle and as others have mentioned is very small. There is no place to put shampoo etc so difficult to pick up from shower bottom with the limited room. Whilst I understand you cannot have a shower caddy on the glass because of the door openings (we have the same issue at home) it definitely needs a shelf or something hanging from the shower pole for bits and bobs. Such a shame as the bathroom is huge and could easily accommodate a larger shower tray. No problem with the water pressure, its great! Would also upgrade to bath sheets.

The cottage was great, very relaxing, lovely, cozy, and warm.

It's a nice little village, an ideal place to explore Wales. Great walks for the dogs. We will definitely be going back in the future.

Lovely cottage with plenty of character yet with modern fixtures and fittings.

It has a wood burning stove but was so warm we didn’t need to use it. The location is very good for visiting the sights on the island which are all within easy reach. The welcome pack was gratefully received and the cottage was very well equipped but could do with a hairdryer and maybe a few dishwasher tablets!

A beautiful property in a lovely location, The property was very clean,spacious and comfortable, the gardens were a joy because you could relax in the sun knowing your furbabies couldn't escape from the garden everything was enclosed.

As others have said it is deceptively big- 2 adults & 2 teenagers & plenty of space for us all to navigate around. A really helpful book with local walks & eating out tips & a great location for exploring the area. Beautiful views; modern facilities. All you could want for home away from home.

We enjoyed our stay at 1 Mount View, it is very well situated for exploring Anglesey.

The cottage was clean and comfortable with a lovely welcome pack. We met the owners who were friendly and helpful. The field was handy for playing with the dog and our granddaughter too. The garden was secure and it was nice to sit out on the sofas, (a bit of shade would have been appreciated as we had wonderful weather.)

Beautiful roomy two bedroom cottage in a quiet location but only 2 miles from Llangefni where shops and activities can be found.

Cottage has log burner and central heating if required. Comfy leather sofas, beautifully fitted kitchen, a double and twin bedrooms and spacious bathroom. Lovely welcome packing left by owners. A small pasture and secure field are available to walk your dog onsite which is perfect first thing in the morning and last thing at night. Also enclosed garden to cottage for your pet to use. This is my 4th visit to these cottages and I will certainly be back. Highly recommended.

Honestly there is nothing missing from this accommodation.

Situated in a quiet off the main road spot with a garden for the dog to roam and a bigger space for playing ball with him. Peaceful spot. Less than 10 minutes from Red Wharf Bay and around 20 to Beaumaris. The place had everything you need for the perfect break away. Clean and comfortable.

The cottage was spotlessly clean and very comfortable.

The welcome tray was very much appreciated and it was great having a secure garden for our two dogs. Will certainly book again.

What an incredibly beautiful well equipped cottage and a fantastic quiet spot.

We all loved it. The only gripe was the visitors book was full up, so we couldn’t tell the owners how amazing the whole experience was. Relaxing and tranquil, we even stayed in for most of one day, just happily comfortable. That’s something on gorgeous Anglesey. We did go out - eventually! Thank you to the owners, we think you thought of everything someone might need and what a time to visit with the cherry blossom.

Great location in close proximity to lots of attractions. This was a beautiful property to stay in with 3 children and the dog and was great value for a week in the Easter holidays. We will be booking again.

A gorgeous place to stay, lovely wood fire and huge sofa as well as a good sized kitchen and comfortable beds, very secure garden for the dogs, easy check in.

Good location for exploring Snowdon and Anglesey. We did find a lot of cobwebs high up and a lot of dirt behind the bedside tables, under the beds etc. However, we would still return.

We loved this cottage, it was a great base for exploring Anglesey.

There was a great welcome pack which was appreciated as it meant we didn’t need to rush out to the shops. I met the owners who were very friendly and welcoming. The cottage is one of the best we’ve stayed in, everything was spotless and looked new, the settee was different to the photos but was probably more comfortable than the originals, it was a large corner settee with recliners at each end. The garden was fully enclosed as described even for our 2 small dogs so we didn’t have to worry at all. There were a few cobwebs but the ceilings are so high it’s only to be expected. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone visiting Anglesey.

Very comfortable clean and well equipped. The new sofa is much comfier than the previous ones. Great location. We even spotted a red squirrel on the drive. Nice welcome pack.

This property is centrally located on Anglesey for all destinations across the island.

The description is as described on Sykes website. Very quiet and peaceful location ,extremely well appointed inside and out with all necessary amenities provided. The owners introduced themselves on arrival so we could ask a few questions which was a great help. Also appreciated the welcome pack on our day of arrival as it takes time to locate nearest store etc. Welcome packs are often mentioned in reviews for other cottages I have stayed at on Sykes site but this was the first time that this has been provided so a big thank you to the owners. The pack enabled us to settle in before going out shopping for some basic supplies the next day after a long drive to get there. Would recommend this cottage (1) in particular as the location is IMO the best of the 3 cottages for mountain views on a clear day and the enclosed space (especially as we had the dog with us). We also had access to an enclosed large paddock which was ideal for exercising a greyhound. Many thanks for an enjoyable break. Recommended and would certainly return .

Clean, comfortable and great location.

We had a wonderful stay at Mountain view, the cottage is beautiful, lovely hosts, very dog friendly and well situated on the island.

The only thing I would suggest is that the size of the shower needs to be in the cottage description (if it isn't already and I have missed it) it is very small and for a larger person this could be a real challenge, especially with no other bathing options.

Excellent holiday cottage, very clean, comfortable, peaceful, very well equipped and ideal for anyone with mobility issues.

The enclosed field for the dog to play in was great. Would not hesitate to recommend, and would certainly book again in the future if we were to visit Anglesey again. The treats were a lovely thought too. Thank you Sion.

2nd visit to Mountain View .

Would highly recommend this cozy cottage to anyone wanting a peaceful and rural setting on your doorstep . Plenty of beaches nearby to walk your dogs as well as places to eat or takeaway. Sion and Donna were the perfect hosts making you feel welcome with a personal visit on your arrival. The added extras of bread butter, milk, eggs and a bottle of Prosecco was a lovely surprise and much appreciated.

Had a fantastic week, the cottages are great and well located to access most of the island within 20 minutes or so.

Lovely quiet location and you couldn’t wish for better hosts, we will be going back.

The lovely hosts live next door yet only seen them once to welcome us. Very tranquil location and the most secure area for dogs as all gardens are totally enclosed. The cottage was very bright, fresh and clean with a lovely welcome pack. They have absolutely everything you could want for and I'm sure if you needed anything, they'd accommodate you as much as they could. Locally the dogs can go off lead if good at recall. Lovely village near by with all shops and usual supermarkets etc. We would highly recommend 1 Mountain View. Thanks for having us. We hope to be back. Fantastic stay ,great accommodation 10 out of ten,this was our second stay at mountain view.

The perfect property for our needs: modern yet comfortable decoration, well -appointed, great location and, most importantly for us, with a properly secure enclosed garden for our two dogs.

The owners introduced themselves and were helpful. The interior has been significantly upgraded since the photos which was a pleasant surprise - now has a lovely L-shaped sofa with two recliners and nicer oak bedroom furniture. Beds and sofa very comfy. Only slight niggle was intermittent wifi. Would come back again and highly recommend, especially to those with dogs as it is very hard to find a truly secure garden.

1 Mountain View is honestly one of the nicest holiday cottages we’ve stayed in with our dogs, the cottage was immaculate and so well presented when we arrived, we immediately knew we would enjoy our stay there.

The cottage is perfectly placed for exploring the beautiful island of Anglesey, and is the perfect place to retreat to of an evening for a comfortable and cosy night (or day if the weather is bad) relaxing time. The owners were so friendly and helpful but not at all intrusive. Having the secure garden space wrapped around the cottage was perfect for our two small dogs. Absolutely perfect in every way & we hope to return again in the future.

From the minute we arrived the hosts were fantastic.

They came to say hello and made themselves on hand if we needed anything. We didn’t because the cottage was immaculate and had everything we needed for a perfect holiday. The welcome pack was amazing too. Thank you.

I have to be honest here.

The property itself is lovely & in a fantastic position to explore Anglesey. Sadly that was as good as it got for us. •The furniture is extremely uncomfortable. The beds/mattresses are very poor (considering they are only 2 years old), they sag in the middle, so it was like trying to sleep on the side of a hill! We turned the mattresses but it didn't help. •The sofas are shiny plastic & far too small for 3 adults. If you sit on them you stick to them, and if you use the throws provided you slip straight off. We simply weren't comfortable. •There are no instructions on how to use any of the appliances (we spent half an hour trying to get the oven to work..it's not a case of simply turning it on). A basic user manual for the appliance's is required. •More crockery is also required as there's only 4 of most things, so you're constantly washing up. If those things were rectified it would be a lovely place to stay, but as it stands we wouldn't recommend.

Cottage was in a great location near to the town of llangefni, was made to feel welcome by the owners who were very friendly, the welcome pack was a nice touch.

Sion and Donna were most welcoming. Delightful welcome pack including a bottle of prosecco chilling in the fridge. A welcome start to our holiday. Cottage had everything you needed. Clean, comfortable and relaxing. We loved it and would highly recommend to any dog owners. The island itself is very dog friendly. NB we left a day early as was always our intention as we were at a wedding on Saturday.

As constructive feedback can I add, although not a necessity, a full length mirror would be an added touch, especially for us ladies. Something and nothing but if it was my property I would lower the TV so you are not straining your neck to watch it. That said i would highly recommend the accomodation and would stay again.

This is our third stay at this wonderful cottage.

The cottage is clean and cosy ,well laid out and has everything you need for a week away .Importantly for us it has a secure garden ,allowing us to relax and not worry about the dogs escaping! The location is peaceful and convenient for most places on the island.The owners are fabulous,on hand if you need them and provide a great welcome .One of the best welcome packs we have found too.

The location is perfect for exploring all areas of Anglesey. We loved returning after a day out and relaxing in the beautiful garden area with the gorgeous views of the mountains and watching the sun go down. Just a stunning location and beautiful cottage.

The welcome food package was a lovely surprise. Donna and Sion were the perfect hosts.

The position of mountain view is peaceful and perfect for exploring Anglesey.

Outside area is fully enclosed. Perfect if you have a dog or young children. Inside we found that it was tastefully decorated and the bed was reasonably comfortable. On entering the property we were delighted as it looked homely and welcoming. On closing the door we noticed what looked like coffee spilt down the back of the door which we thought was poor however quickly put it behind us. On putting things in the fridge there were crumbs and black hairs from the last occupants. The kitchen cupboards had greasy marks around the handles and hair was in the cutlery drawer. Decided to clean the kitchen and again put it behind us as the owners lived on site and were very friendly so we didn't want to appear that we were complaining and feel uncomfortable the rest of our stay. I thought perhaps they might have been unwell and couldn't clean it properly and just to be thankful. The shower in the evening is really what has prompted us to right this review. Drainage was so slow the tray quickly became full and water started to go over the top. I picked up the hair catcher and there must have been a good couple of months worth of hair stuck to the bottom.... it was disgusting , plus the area hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. Sludge was coming away from the bottom of the shower. I have taken photos so hopefully will be able to add further down. I cleaned the bottom of the shower but drew the line at removing months of other people hair. The shower was also too small for my husband. It was so tight, it was difficult bending down to pick up toiletries. A shower caddy would be useful. This is such a shame , as with a little more care with cleaning this cottage could be excellent. We now felt as if we needed to clean everything. We also had to go out and buy cereal bowls as there weren't any. They did have pasta bowls which we used on the first day but, far too large to use every day plus if you were eating pasta you then had to wash before having pudding. The welcome pack was excellent and really kind. Flowers greeted us on entering which was a lovely touch. It was great to have a vacuum/ ironing board and mop to keep the cottage clean. If it wasn't for the kitchen/bathroom this cottage would have been perfect. The floors were clean as was the outside area. We holiday a lot around the U.K., probably 10 weeks plus a year but wouldn't use this property again.

The cottage was lovely secure garden for our dogs,ideal position for exploring the island,the welcome pack was much appreciated and the host very welcoming,we look forward to having another holiday there in the future.

The cottage is lovely and has been finish to a high standard.

There are only three small criticisms, 1)there were only 4 knives, forks and spoons. I recognise that the accommodation is for 4 but when you have been cooking and using spoons or knives to butter toast and bread it is a pain to have to wash it before you can eat. 2)The sofas are very low and have no upper support which makes them uncomfortable. 3) the shower is so small that for my 6ft 4 husband to bend over to pick up a bottle of shampoo only resulted in him pushing against the glass. Lovely location, great standard and finish on the property. Beds really comfy and the fire was so hot and efficient that we have ordered one for our home.

Lovely place - would come again.

Few small quibbles only regarding the lighting - all of the bulbs quite dull. An option of a stronger light to read would be nice.

The cottage was comfortable and cosy It was ideal for our dogs due to the secure fencing.

..no worries about letting them out. Situated in the centre of Angelsey it was well placed to explore all the beaches . All facilities in the cottage were up to date and easy to use.It was beautifully furnished with style and taste .Would love to go back in summer to make full use of the garden

The accommodation was excellent.

The owners were very friendly and we felt completely at home. It was spotlessly clean and there was a lovely welcome pack including a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge and fresh flowers on the table. The Cottage is located in a quiet village but a perfect location to explore the whole of Anglesey. A very secure garden if you have a dog. We will definitely return here.
