Pen Y Graig was a lovely cosy cottage with the most beautiful views!

It was comfortable and clean and a perfect spot for exploring the Llyn peninsula, Eryri, and Anglesey.

Property was ok as a base and provided all the basic facilities but could do with a spring clean especially the Oven.

Thoughtful and helpful owner available nearby if anything needed, location great with lovely views.

This is a lovely little cottage with lots of character and charm.

This was my second stay at Pen Y Graig and it was perfect for my needs. I was here on my own, but it would be perfect for a couple with one child. The main bedroom is open plan which makes it light and spacious. The small second bedroom is accessed through the main bedroom, as too is the small bathroom with shower. So it is more of an en-suite room with access to another small room that I used as my dressing room. There are stunning views out the front windows across the valley toward the Pwllheli Mountains. You can see for miles and watch the sun setting. Talysarn is also a wonderful location often overlooked. It is steeped in history from the local slate mines with some wonderful walks straight from the doorstep. It is also perfectly located for exploring the North Wales coast, Anglesey, the Lynn Peninsular and Snowdon. All are just a short drive away. I can't wait to come back for a real hoiliday here one day instead of only visiting for work.

Lovely little cottage, with plenty of room for a family of 3 and a dog.

Lovely location near the west coast beaches and Carnarvon with great views from the main bedroom, lounge area and front garden. We were unlucky with the weather but the little heater was very effective at taking away the chill in the evening.

We loved the place!

It had everything we needed for a week's stay, an excellent view, and is perfectly located with many interesting spots within reach. Great collection of dvds and books, too. Only thing to ask for is some more basic kitchen material, ie, a few spices, something to make coffee. Had some raspberries from the garden instead :-)

Pen-y-Graig was a lovely cosy holiday cottage, which provided an ideal base to explore the local area.

Its location gave us wonderful views of the landscape and the mountains in the distance. Also it had easy access to Caernarfon and other attractions such as Snowdon, Betws-y-Coed. Thank you.

What a great location for investigating the area, we had day trips to the Llyn Peninsula, Snowdonia and Anglesey.

We saw a lot of varied wildlife, great for nature spotters! Accommodation was lovely and had everything we needed. The view from the property was great, we even got to see a Tawney Owl perching most evenings! The host was very approachable and had great knowledge of the area. He took time to advise on the best places to visit. Great holiday!

Excellently situated in the heart of Snowdonia for easy access to the mountains or the seaside.

Shops available in the village and a vineyard next door! A short car ride to Caernarvon, Porthmadoc and Beddgelert. Beautiful views across the valley for a peaceful, lovely stay.

Lots of good walks from the property or within a short drive. A visit to the vineyard cafe and to the quarry is a must. We will definitely return and use this property again.

Lovely and clean cottage with quirky driftwood features.

Cosy open plan downstairs with terraced garden. TV reception was good only for BBC 1 and 2, but not an issue as the Olympics was on. Most comfortable sofa in the world. Lovely walks from the door with lots to explore only 30 mins drive to start of Snowdon paths. Great for us and our dog. Only drawback was a dirty oven.

The location was fabulous, perfectly placed for quiet walks and bike rides.

The cottage was well equipped, including a large selection of books, local information regarding walks etc. and DVDs. The hosts were very welcoming and we enjoyed the stunning views lots.

We had a lovely week in this beautiful cottage, mr Parry was very welcoming, the cottage was spotlessly clean and comfortable.

We loved the house, spotless and very comfortable, but no good for anyone with walking difficulties.

Steep outside steps leading to small but nice garden. And open plan staircase. Lovely people who owned the place, never bothered us but we knew we could call on them if we needed them. Very cosy place central heating superb, and well equipped with everything you needed. Yes I'm quite fussy but I would say it's one of the best properties we have stated in if not THE BEST. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THUS PROPERTY 100% VERY PLEASED.

We've just returned from a relaxing week away at Pen Y Graig.

A beautiful cottage in a beautiful part of the world! The views from the windows are breathtaking. The cottage itself is stunning with beautiful wood work and attention to detail. It's really cosy and was absolutely perfect for the two of us and our dog. We enjoyed walking and exploring the surrounding countryside - a great location. We would love to return in the future.

Great experience and fabulous cottage.

We were reluctant to go away due to COVID but the place was clean and super comfortable. Location is superb, close to the beaches and also Snowdonia National Park. There is a very nice vineyard with a cafe nearby (within walking distance). The owner is friendly and helpful. Couldn't ask for more.

Our stay at Pen-y-Graig was a good choice, nice clean quirky place, central to everywhere we wanted to visit.

Lots of information on the surrounding area & lovely views to wake up to. Could have done with a few extra pillows was our only gripe.

Internet signal was intermittent, probably due to the thickness of the walls or the position of the router The owners Mr&Mrs Parry were very helpful and accommodating.

A charming cottage perfect for my friend and I.

Easy access to western Snowdonia with amazing views from the upper window. Plus close access to beach. Very comfy accommodation, warm and cosy on not so good days. Would definitely stay again.

The view out of the windows was absolutely stunning and much nicer than we could have imagined.

We loved the personalised bits throughout the place too, driftwood and artwork etc. The location was perfect too, nice and quiet but near to beautiful walks. We will be back.

Gwen and his family were extremely excellent especially when the TV broke.

They replaced the TV the next day, and left us some cake as a lovely gesture and inconvenience it caused. It is a peaceful area with beautiful views. We are looking forward to going back next year.

It was perfect place for us.

We used it as a base to discover North Wales. Very Comfortable with great scenery from sitting room.

We found it was a little off the beaton track , the approach unexpected !

! However the accommodation was clean , lots of hot water, comfortable and quiet. The views over the valley were lovely and we walked the two recommended walks in the visitors folder, so glad the weather improved which made the mountain walk amazing ! Only one thing missing from our stay..... no egg cups !! Chris Fabian.

Gwyn was an extremely welcoming host.

There was a problem with the boiler not coming on which he got fixed immediately. Only real complaint is that, with the heating on, the house gets very warm upstairs, and only just warm enough downstairs. Could really do with a thermostat upstairs, we'd suggest. But this was a minor point and didn't spoil our stay at all. Lovely cottage in a fantastic setting.

I spent seven wonderful days here and felt completely at home.

The cottage is close to so many great places and is a real gem.

Mooi uitzicht vanuit de cottage en ideale plek van waaruit de prachtige omgeving goed te bezichtigen is, waaronder Snowdonia. Ook direct vanuit de cottage mooie wandelroutes. Zeer goede prijs / kwaliteit verhouding.

Lovely friendly owner great house with everything you could want in it great location and the views are spectacular

The owner was very helpful and friendly.

Under cover space to store bikes. Comfortable bed - steep staircase that could do with a handrail. Unusual and interesting decor. Good base for Caernarfon and Snowdonia - close to cycle route 8, offering a traffic-free way into Caernarfon centre. Nearest place to eat out was Rhyd Ddu - the Cwellyn Arms. Good meal there, but a bit of a 'foodie' establishment.

Had a lovely time staying at this cottage, it was nice and cosy, clean throughout.

Convenient location for Snowdon, also the beach is only a 15 minute drive away. Only negative is that the steps are quite high if you have a pet I would advise keeping them on a lead as there is a high drop from front of cottage. This is also a positive as the views from the cottage are amazing, especially at sunset. Would definitely recommend this cottage.
