Penholm

Property was as shown with booking.

com Ideal for all ages. If it had rained, it didn’t! Play room brilliant for all ages. Bedrooms all themed. All good sizes. Near to a lovely beach. A very good basket of goodies, much appreciated. Garden safe for children and dogs.

Beautiful property, steeped in history which added to our stay.

We celebrated as a family in this excellent well equipped house. The grandchildren absolutely loved the games room, arcade games and cinema screen. The hot tub was also a hit. The weather was superb which added to our stay with use of the bbq. With our large group a few more seats outside would have been useful. Overall it was an excellent stay and we would love to return in the future.

This property is amazing.

13 adults and 3 small children went to celebrate my 60th birthday. We had an amazing time. The rooms are lovely and large. Everything you need is catered for. We had amazing weather so used the enclosed garden a lot. We really didn’t use the games room much as the weather was so good but the games room would be amazing if you don’t have the weather. I would definitely recommend this beautiful house. The location is brilliant too. The beach is beautiful and only a 10 minute walk. There’s a little cafe and splash park for the little ones. Plenty to do in the area. We had an amazing time. Very sad to go home

Wow what can I say Penholm is an absolutely stunning place.

The whole house is very well maintained and the different themes in each bedroom is fascinating. The house has a warm and friendly feel with everything you could ever need to make your break comfortable and amazing. I run a charity that supports adults who have mental, chronic and life limiting illnesses so we rented the house for a mindfulness retreat. The house over exceeded my expectations and the retreat was very successful. The views from the viewing post and the bedroom windows were something else. I would highly recommend Penholm what a beautiful place with a mesmerising feel. Thank you so much from all at Keira’s Kingdom xx

When we arrived at Penholm we were immediately amazed.

We had booked the house for my husbands 70th so family were coming also. The house was inviting and comfortable, the bedrooms were beautiful and tastefully decorated. We loved the hot tub and the kids had fun in the games room. Penholm had everything we needed for our family to enjoy. Thank you.

Wow what a wonderful property!

Absolutely fantastic! We had a lovely family gathering! A great hamper on arrival, everything you needed. would definitely recommend.

We booked this beautiful house for my husbands 60th birthday it was lovely we all had a relaxing time and used the entertainment room the house was well equipped with everything that you needed and the welcome basket was wonderful highly recommend this lovely house.

I booked a seven night stay at Penholm for 11 adults to relax for a week.

We loved the accommodation, there was so much to do from having a hot-tub to playing pool or just relaxing in one of the large lounges. The accommodation is close to Conwy and Llandudno as well as a number of other towns to visit for day’s out. The Kitchen was well equipped had everything you need to make lovely meals , there was a huge kitchen table where you could sit to eat and chat and put the world to right

Lovely, very spacious accomodation over 3 floors.

There were 17 of us but we all had our own space which was perfect. Very well equipped kitchen, lovely large living rooms and conseratory. The games room was a big hit and we enjoyed watching F1 on the huge cinema screen. The hot tub was lovely, even in the rain and plenty of seating outside when the sun put in an appearance. Fantastic views from all windows and ample parking. The property does need a bit of TLC in places. We had some contact with the owner who was always helpful with any problems we had. All in all a very nice house indeed.

Huge house & rooms Beautiful and very homely home.

Defiantly book again.

We are family of 19 which the Penholm suited us.

Bedrooms were spacious and some of the views were excellent. I talked to Cleo beforehand for a few queries and she left a welcome pack for a 50th wedding anniversary. There is an entertainment room for pool, darts, cinema. There is also a juke box. So plenty of things for all the family to. The hot tub was used quite frequently. There is also BBQ facilities either charcoal or gas. The property is ideal for walkers and is close to several walks for people of various abilities. Penmaenmawar is a village with a covered Victorian street. It has a unique charm of days gone by

Would have loved a floor plan so we could work out where to put each of our party beforehand.

It was a wonderful house to stay in with three generations - lots of separate rooms for relaxing, playing games etc and a great location between Conwy and Anglesey with Snowdonia behind you

This house was just perfect in every way.

The location was really good, with amazing views from every room. The house was a fantastic size for our party of 13, we had lots of space for us all to do the things we wanted to. Everything you could possibly need was available at the house and the children we had in the party loved the games room, actually so did the adults! The house was spotless, and every room was so nicely decorated and comfortable. The owner was so helpful and kind to us, and we would recommend this place to anyone looking for a wonderful break in a fabulous house. We have stayed in many houses for a similar type of short break, but this is the best by far, amazing!

We had a great stay and the weather made even better.

great space for a large group and the games room is a bonus. great location even out of season there is lots to do and see nearby. Great communication from the owner, thank you Loved it that much we’ve booked again

Fabulous family time.

Games and cinema room brilliant idea. Lots of relaxing time for the adults knowing the kids are safe playing together in cinema room. Welcome pack lovely idea. Rooms plenty big enough and comfortable. Everywhere spotless which shows the pride and care the owners take to make sure you have a fabulous time. We have never been able to have all our family together as no one has the room (17 of us ) this was the perfect place ample comfortable safe space. While the weather was a tad wet and windy (feb) it didnt spoil anything. Jason checked on us via txt to make sure everything was ok and welcome us another lovely idea. Would definitely return.

Beautiful house and done to a very high standard.

Each room is unique and has a lovely holiday theme. We were a group with a baby, children, oldies and dogs ! Everyone loved it , especially the games room for the children and dads! It had everything including a Duke Box. A lovely welcome pack filled with real treats awaited us on our arrival. It says parking for 4 cars but we actually fitted 7 in , parked behind one another as once we were in we were not using the vehicles again until we left. That inclued 2 lge vans. We wouldn't hesitate to go there again and it was also a perfect location for Conway station ,a short stroll away. Thanks for putting the lights on for us before we arrived, it was an absolutely marvellous place for our family and friends to stay.

Absolutely amazing property for our family stay.

The games room is fabulous for all ages. Thank you for the lovely welcome basket too. Well worth a visit

The property was fantastic.

We really enjoyed getting together as a family of 9+ Haven the dog the entertainment facilities were great. Jason was very helpful and responsive to our questions and queries a great host. I would say that the Customer Service by Sykes was debatable. It was impossible to contact them and I spent many hours on the phone trying to get pre-arrival information. It seemed that if I phoned the sales team I got straight through but customer supports was appalling.

Had a very nice time.

My only gripe is the bedroom for our disabled guests was less than adequate, very small and cramped. Our disabled guests left early because of this. It seems disabled facilities were an afterthought. This is a big house and there is plenty of room for a larger bedroom, shower. Please take people with disabilities into account. They cannot use all of the facilities on offer and the small comforts they get are very important

The home itself in its location is absolutely stunning, very, very beautiful indeed, we were all taken aback at it's size and space that it afforded us.

We had a most enjoyable week. The welcome pack was a lovely touch and helped us settle in very quickly. There were a few very minor janitorial/maintenance issues that arose that I plan to share with the property owner in private but these were expected from a property that has clearly been loved & used well over the years by it's guests, But nothing that would stop us booking again in the future. There was ample parking at the property for 4 large or maybe 5 or 6 smaller vehicles easily in the driveway. This was a home away from home for us and the location was just as special, we look forward to returning in a couple of years time to make more memories.

Had the most fabulous time celebrating a 60th birthday.

Family group ranging from ages 2 to 68 and there was something for everyone. Games/cinema room was a huge success, everyone loved it, House was wonderful and everything had been thought of. Welcome pack was much appreciated. Beach was walking distance which was great. Can't recommend this place highly enough.

This property was well equipped.

The welcome hamper was a very nice touch. Everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed the games room, and made great use of the hot tub although only one jet was working. We all had a great time.

Fantastic place for a family get together the owners are thoughtful the property was as it said - lovely welcome pack too Would definitely recommend

Only wish we would have booked it longer !

! Scaled snowdon whilst there and was the perfect place to come “home to “ . Two very minor niggles 1) mattress on top floor in front right of house as you look out mattress could be better 2) in an ideal world a cover over hot tub so it could be used in the drizzle , 2-3 times we got in and it began to rain so we got back out again as no cover offerred . I’m pretty sure we will visit again in the future as it was perfect for all 15 of us . Many thanks for allowing us to stay at your lovely venue

Lots of room for our family get together for my husbands 70th birthday.

Plenty of toys and facilities to keep young to 70 year olds happy. Plenty of places to visit, conwy castle, steam trains, kayaking, playparks. Needed longer to appreciate this area and a nice garden to. Would definitely recommend to large families with a wide age range. Would love to return and hopefully have warmer weather, but as I said plenty to do indoors and out and about. Thank you

The property and our stay were both delightful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and appreciated all the amenities that were provided. The thoughtful touches, such as the hamper, hand soap, and washing up liquid, that were provided upon our arrival were very helpful, as we had not considered those items. Whenever we required assistance, the management was prompt in their response, which was greatly appreciated. We did encounter a slight challenge with parking when resident cars were parked opposite the driveway, making it a bit difficult to turn in. Perhaps widening the driveway entrance could alleviate this issue. Overall, we had a wonderful time and hope to return again in the future.

Really lovely house which we all felt comfortable in.

Our 6 grandkids ranging from 1 to 12, loved the facilities & were never bored. Appreciated the welcome pack enjoyed by all. Sadly only one problem but we managed. Opposite the gate on the road cars were parked making it very difficult to get cars in & out. Someone pulled up opposite gate & went to the house leaving the car there all day, I pointed out to her the difficulty with cars, but she ignored me, never said anything & walked off, which I found very rude & disrespectful. We didn’t let it spoil our holiday but maybe get the council to put a line on the road opposite the gate. There was masses of space on the road to park so no need to do what they did. Again our holiday was great but just felt like I needed to mention the idiots lack of common sense.

This house is absolute amazing, we had a party of 12 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs, we were there to celebrate my 60th birthday, the bedrooms here are amazing, everybody loved the cinema and games room too, they owners have thought of everything, we managed to squeeze our 5 cars on the drive too, Penmaenmawr is lovely too, great beach for the dogs too, would recommend this lovely house to anyone!

Just come back from a wonderful week at penholm.

A beautiful house situated in a picturesque village with lots of other areas in easy reach. 5 minute walk in to the village. 10 minutes of that to the beach. The house had everything we needed and more and the welcome basket was a lovely unexpected touch. Perfect week away

This is a lovely house.

Bedrooms and lounges all look newly decorated. The kitchen is a little dated (but perfectly acceptable) but I understand from Jason, the owner, that this is to be completely overhauled shortly. The hot-tub was a nice touch which was very well received by our group. The house is nicely positioned about 5 minutes from the beach and, for those who don't want to drive everywhere there is a terrific bus service along the coast between Bangor and Llandudno which runs every 20 minutes or so. We would happily stay here again and can recommend it to anyone looking for a large holiday home in this area.

We had a fabulous week’s stay.

18 in the company all found it fantastic, plenty of room for everyone, pool & darts competitions what a laugh. Great comfortable beds, everyone slept well. We met the owner who could not have been more helpful. I would recommend for any large party.

Such a lovely house we went to celebrate my 60th Birthday 16 Adults & 5 children.

The accomodation & cleanliness were outstanding. The views were amazing. Everything you need was available even all kitchen equipment they have thought of everything. Cinema & games room was a great added bonus plus the hottub. The village & beach is nice 15 min walk ...lovely chippy...I would definately recommend this house it is perfect for any occasion.

Plenty of room for the whole family.

Beds were clean and really comfortable. Games room enjoyed by everyone. Hot tub was great fun for the children. Enough to keep everyone happy with the poor weather. Kitchen well equipped and a lovely welcome pack. Would recommend.

What a beautiful house!

Everything you could possibly need was provided for. When we needed to contact the owner he replied immediately. Would 100% recommend.

One of the best houses we have stayed in

Fantastic property for family/friends gatherings.

Bedrooms all beautiful and comfortable. Kitchen has everything you need. Games/cinema room was great along with hot tub. Second time we’ve been and will no doubt be coming back.

Lovely house with everything needed to enjoy a great week.

Spent 7 days at Penholm and there wasn’t anything lacking, everything you needed was there.

Games room and cinema was a big hit with the grandchildren and mums and dads. Owners were easy to communicate with. The welcome hamper was a nice touch, would definitely go again.

Wow, what a property!

My husband and I booked Penholm for a joint big birthday celebration with family and friends. There were 19 people in our group with an age range of 16 months to 71. There was something to do and somewhere to go for everyone. The rooms were spotless and the welcome pack and flowers that were left in the kitchen table were a lovely surprise. Stunning property with stunning views! Emma, the supervisor was only a quick text away if we needed to contact her. What a memorable time we had and we all absolutely loved it. Penholm, you svore 10/10!

The good weather and tremendous scenery made it a great week for our "experienced" walking group of 12.

Penholm was a great base and we were very comfortable there and the small number of glitches were rectified immediately.Well equipped accommodation and entertainment facilities second to none.

Wonder week with friends.

Everything we needed was available within the home , which was very cosy. Totally recommend

Penholm was a lovely home for the whole group and we enjoyed it to be so close to Llandudno and Anglesey.

So we could do a lot of things in a short distance. We arrived very early, but the cleaning crew was very friendly and gave us space in the living room. That was perfect after a 12 h journey. Many thanks for that.

We recently held our wedding at Penholm House with our nearest and dearest and it was perfect from start to finish.

We held the ceremony on the roof terrace with views of the mountains and sea. It really is the most stunning property, the themed bedrooms were amazing and were to be our wet weather photography backdrops but the sun came out for us on the day & stayed for the week! We had photographs in & around the house & garden as well as at the Sychnant Pass and on the beach, the local area is beautiful. Our family & friends had a perfect week with us, there is something for everyone at Penholm, the cinema and games room were a real plus. Jason the owner was very helpful beforehand, sending us extra photos to help with planning and he also recommended an amazing local caterer. We will definitely back to celebrate future anniversaries in what has become one of our favourite places. Highly recommended.

This was a last minute trip as our original trip got cancelled.

Trying to find a property for 14 people and Penholme came up. Wow what a place. It had everything you needed. So clean and the bedrooms were beautiful. It smelt nice everywhere. The games/cinema room was a great added touch and kept everyone entertained. The owner kept in touch all week and answered any questions we had. Thank you so much, we will be back.

We had a fantastic stay at Penholm House.

We were a mixture of ages from 22 months up to 73 years old. The bedrooms were large and beautifully decorated. Everywhere throughout the house was lovely and clean. The cinema room and play room kept everyone entertained. I would definitely like to return to Penholm House and recommend this to all.

Beautiful holiday home.

Lovely people. Thank you.

The Hagan family party 17th March - 24th March 2023 Our holiday at penholme was brilliant the children was amazed at the facilities in the games room, Jason was really helpful, the rooms were very comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we would not hesitate to recommend this property to others.

Fantastic long weekend at this cottage, will certainly come back if we get the chance.

Fantastic and attentive hosts.

The house was everything we had imagined and much more. Already looking at our return visit

We stayed at Penholm over New Year as a group of 17 with ages ranging from 1-70.

The house is very big with so many different areas and a lovely choice of bedrooms. It was spotless throughout and had every amenity you could possibly need during your stay. The games room was a huge hit with children and adults alike. Jason our host was quick to respond to queries before our stay and helpful throughout. We enjoyed our stay so much that we have already booked for next year. Highly recommended.

Beautiful house and had best games room we’ve had in previous homes.

Bedrooms are all themed and very comfortable. Kitchen very well equipped and spacious. I cannot fault the house at all. Hope to be back next year!

Great holiday in a great location plenty of places to visit and excellent accommodation in this lovely big house for us .

especially enjoyed the big kitchen and cinema to watch the world Cup games thanks mark

y celebrations perfectly thank you.

We would only make one comment, concerning the dining room, where 18 of us had difficulty in fitting into the space around the table. However, overall, we were absolutely delighted with the property, its location and its comfort. Thank you

This is a fabulous house, full of history, and it is also in a delightful position with wonderful views of the sea and surrounding mountains.

It is very comfortable and well maintained, with every amenity. It is perfect for a group holiday such as ours. The owners were more than pleasant, helpful and accommodating. We had a great time!

A wonderful week enjoyed at Penholm with family.

We enjoyed the space, the games room and the jacuzzi very much. It’s very well equipped, had everything we needed and was in a great location.

Tremendous property in a stunning location.

Everything was perfect for our visit, including the weather! Was made even more special as one of our party realised her mother once worked there when it was a factory making dolls.

Really happy with the property and its great location, such a fantastic house with many areas to relax either with your groups company or on your own.

The games room provided an excellent retreat with many activities to keep the whole group occupied but also together. We also appreciated the prompt response regarding the drain on our arrival along with the advice on what is in the area etc. We would definitely stay here again.

The house catered exceptionally well for the needs of 4 generations .

We all had a wonderful holiday. The hosts pay huge attention to detail to ensure your time is well spent. There is plenty to do 24/7whatever the weather. (As an aside note for future guests Tesco and Asda deliver to the property, but I would recommend you currently don’t use Tesco. They didn’t turn up when supposed to on Saturday evening. With no communication from them either, order eventually turned up following afternoon with half of order missing). I wholeheartedly recommend this property in north wales.

The house was beautiful set in a scenic area .

. The games room ideal for all ages There was a couple of areas that a bit of TLC...such as the garden .

A great stay for all family, will definitely look into booking in future as it was so good.

Variety of things to do for all of family, only suggestion that was brought up was the garden possibly being cleaned up+fresh coat of paint of outside stairs, but overall a great stay!

We had a fabulous week at Penholm.

What can I say other than absolutely superb.

We stayed for a family 60th. There was 19 of us & ages ranged from 5-83 plus 2 dogs. Penholm caters for everyone. Rooms are amazing, games room is amazing, loved the balcony & hot tub. Superb welcome pack. The owners have truly made it a home from home & thought of everything. Will be returning xx

Fantastic stay at this lovely family friendly house , something for everyone and exceptionally well-equipped.

The house provided great accommodation for our family get together.

The facilities are first rate and there are lots of activities provided in the house if you are unable to go outside because of the weather.

Penholm is an outstanding house, beautifully appointed and has all the amenities & more for the perfect holiday for family & friends

The house was lovely it was very clean and everything we needed was provided, the hamper was a very nice touch and very welcome, also the owner text me on arrival to make sure we had gained entry which was nice - only issues we had was the showers - some were difficult to maintain temperature and if few showers were used at same time the water flow stopped for a while .

Also the flooring under the pool table is damaged causing me to trip up and resulting in a very nasty bruised leg

Lovely property everything thought of.

We were a group of women and we used the facilities. The bedrooms are large and the beds and bedding was top class.

What a week what a house.

.. Amazing rooms with amazing views.. Every year we go Away as a large group and this house tops them all.. Had it all cozy lounges and amazing games and cinema room.. Everything was very clean and everything there you would ever need..

Beautiful and well appointed property in a lovely area with lots to do.

Very helpful host. Such a great big family holiday!

The pictures on the website don’t do the property justice the house was lovely and spacious for our large family stay.

Great place to stay for large groups of people, very clean and hot tub was fabulous.

Beds comfortable and owner Jason who lives in next town brought us a gas bottle for bbq immediately after we asked. Very helpful and lovely. Lots of things to do nearby and great beaches. House is well maintained and fenced in for dogs. Very nicely decorated.

Absolutely first class holiday, the house was immaculate and really well laid out for a large party with kids.

We had a BBQ every night, chilled in the hot tub, and the owner Jason told us about so many cool spots to visit. We will DEFINITELY be back to north Wales

We were celebrating aour 40 years wedding anniversary , & our family group was between the ages of 6 to 60 , party of 16 altogether , The comfort of the rooms were outstanding , the games room was equipped with everything you could imagine for all age groups , the scenic decor of all rooms were amazing , kitchen was great & fully equipped , Roof top terrace amazing for Sunset , & garden a great size for barbecue’s and Hot tub a Bonus , Well impressed , Great Location for mountains , waterfalls , beaches , all local .

Absolutely stunning property with everything you could possibly wish for an enjoyable stay.

Clean, comfortable, very spacious and with lots of details to make your stay a great one. The games room was definitely a big plus, and the hot tub was a perfect add on. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Penholm and looking forward to coming back again. Aneta

Spent a week at this house for my dad's 60th.

What an amazing time had by all. 12 adults 7 children. Highlight of the men's week was the games room! So much space. Rooms are amazing. Beds really comfy. Kitchen very spacious. Everything there that we needed. Would 100% recommend. Owner was very good at communicating with us re places to get cakes balloons from, places to visit.

Our family of 20 had the best time in this gorgeous home.

The communication from the owner was fantastic, he helped with everything we needed. The home is fully equipped with everything a large family needs from the pots and pans to walking sticks and pushchairs. The children (and adults) thoroughly enjoyed the games room which had everything a child dreams of! The hot tub was lovely and clean and the garden space was perfect for the children to play in. The house itself was incredibly clean, the bedrooms were decorated In different themes and done to a really high standard. The bed linen was soft and the towels fluffy, couldn’t ask for more. We took short walks to the beach, which is really close to the house but also took a 20 minute drive to the mountains. There is a lot to do and see! We had our shopping for the trip delivered but there was a few takeaway places in the town 5 minutes walk from the house. The owners left us a lovely welcome hamper which was really appreciated! All in all a wonderful stay, would definitely book again!

Penholm was clean extremely comfortable and had all we needed as a family.

The owner was helpful and very responsive to our enquires. The views were spectacular from the property in every direction and we joined the Welsh walking trail from the house. The ground floor bedroom was perfect for my elderly father, the game’s room and dinning area accommodated us all. Fabulous venue

Penholm House is amazing excellent facilities.

Ideal property for large groups of people. We had 14 adults 4 children and a baby... The cinema and games room kept the children occupied and property big enough to socialise without being in each others way. The hamper was a nice touch and appreciated the fact Christmas tree and decorations were up.

Fantastic house, excellent facilities, perfect for a large group of people

The house was absolutely perfect for our party of 20 ranging in age from 2 to 80+ everyone was able to have their own space, bedrooms we're all very good sizes and the living rooms, kitchen and games/cinema room were ideal for when we were all together.

The house is spotless and the hamper was a warm welcome even something in there for the four legged members of our party. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are considering booking for next summer.

Just amazing!

The property has everything you might need in terms of facilities and space, couple that with amazing views of the sunset over the sea and its a 10/10. We had 20 people staying at the property and it didn't feel crowded at all, 2 living rooms, big kitchen & dining, garden and games room had plenty of space for communal activities. The bedrooms all had different themes and were very comfortable. We all had the most amazing time. Would most definitely book again.

Great holiday, lovely house with lots of facilities, but could do with hanging spaces in bedrooms, as some bedrooms have no wardrobes.

We have had a wonderful time.

The two living rooms so that the adults had one and the children another then the separate games room. There was everything we could have needed and more. We will definitely be booking again. Close to lots of fun things to do.

Outstanding property.

Great facilities. Good location. The only downstairs toilet was in the ensuite of the downstairs bedroom. A communal downstairs toilet, maybe in the utility room, would be convenient.
