Castle Cove

This was our 2nd visit ot Castle cove it was excellent as before, apart from on our 1st visit we had our dog Woody with us.

Unfortunately due to his ill health we had him put to sleep 3 weeks prior to our 2nd visit, so we missed him terribly .

Castle Cove is a very comfortable Bungalow.

This was our third visit to Castle Cove, we just wanted a bit of peace and quiet, which we got.

It's a comfortable and quiet bungalow, great park down the road for walking the dogs, not far to drive to Llandudno, Prestatyn etc. Neighbours very friendly, big Tesco just around the corner, another one at Llandudno junction which has a petrol station, or you can go to Asda on the way to Rhyl. Lovely beaches especially Rhos on sea. Brilliant shower!

Close to good walks in the nearby park very good for our dog. Weather very hot but nice and cool in bungalow. Would definitely like to revisit

Stayed in Apri and had a lovely time.

Property was clean and tidy and loved the enclosed garden for our dog. Close to shops and castle easy walk, and about a 5 minute drive to the beach. Enjoyed would stay again if visiting this area

A great bungalow on a lovely quiet estate within easy walking distance to the town, a large Tesco store, the beach (pebbles) and Pentre Mawr, a large park with great open spaces for off lead dog runs.

The bungalow is very comfortable with everything we needed and lots of space to relax. Perfect for my husband who has some mobility issues. Situated in a great place for travelling around North Wales. We would definitely book again.

Lovely cottage, we have stopped there before and would do so again.

Only one thing to mention was that the twin room could either do with having blinds or thicker curtains as the ones fitted let a lot of light in.

This was our second stay at the cottage, and it was just as wonderful as the first!

It's such a lovely place – really quiet with friendly neighbours, which makes for a truly relaxing break. We particularly appreciate how comfortable the beds are and the ample seating in the lounge; it's perfect for unwinding. The selection of books and board games is a fantastic touch, too! Our only minor puzzle was figuring out the recycling bins – a small detail in an otherwise perfect stay! A parasol for the outdoor table would be a lovely addition for sunny days (apologies if we missed one!). Overall, we had an amazing time and found the cottage perfectly located for all the amenities we needed. We can't wait to come back!

This was our 2nd visit.

The bungalow is ideally situated to visit everywhere. It's peaceful and there are plenty of places to walk the dog. The beds are comfortable and the shower was fabulous! The welcome flowers , coffee tea and milk are thoughtful. There are books and games for children and internet and basic sky TV. Lovely little garden round the back. Very happy to come back here.

Lovely holiday stay.

Very comfortable and in a great location, all that we could need within the property. Lots of lovely places to visit within a short distance and great dog walk area around us. We all had a very enjoyable stay. Thanks to the owners for your hospitality and the gifts left for us which was a lovely thought after our five hour drive. Highly recommended.

Had lovely relaxing week no stairs dog loved the garden and all the walks roundabout lovely and quiet comfortable beds and dark bedroom Wi-Fi was useful had beautiful weather the place was clean fresh flowers instructions of the way and key details we had a perfect holiday thanks to the owners credit to them

Very clean, warm and comfortable property.

We really enjoyed our holiday and we have rebooked for later in the year.

We have stayed here a few times since 2011, it must be good as we keep going to Castle cove and have always had a nice time.

We had a great week at Castle Cove the bungalow is clean and tidy.

Sofa and beds are comfy, garden is nice to sit out when the sun is shining. Quiet location with plenty of areas to walk your dog. There are books and DVD's if you don't want to go out. Good Beaches at Prestatyn, Colwyn Bay and Rhos on Sea. Can recommend the George and Dragon and the Abergele fish bar.

Lovely welcoming gifts of flowers, milk and biscuits.

Good folder prepared and box of leaflets on bookshelf with suggestions of place to go. Very calm atmosphere for a relaxing break. Nice neighbours.

Lovely bungalow, it had everything, an equipped kitchen, a lovely enclosed back garden for the dog, a nice place to relax after a long day out exploring the local area.

The welcome package was nice touch. I would highly recommend.

Lovely bungalow to stay in,has everything provided that you may need for your stay,even had milk and biscuits for your arrival and some fresh flowers.

Everything very clean and really comfy beds.Tesco only a 5 min walk away for anything youve forgotten.Beach about 15 min walk away.Very close to lots of places to visit,lots of local imformation left by the owner which was helpful,beautiful walks in the area,really enjoyed our time away.

We loved the bungalow, it was so peaceful, quiet and comfortable, in fact we didn't want to leave, it is the ideal place for visiting or just relaxing, plenty of walks for the dog too.

The number 12 bus is a godsend!

Lovely positioned property.

Easy to do short walk to town and beach. Well equipped though did have to wash cutlery and glasses before using. Beds comfy as was settee. Nice walks to park with dog. The Harp pub was very friendly and served good food especially Sunday roast. Would return.

Very clean and homely well presented, cosy sheets on bed which was good as we had wet cold weather good location everything that you would need would stay again.

well kept and very clean. nice small enclosed garden. lovely neighbours on a well kept estate. very peaceful. in the perfect place for exploring north wales. i would gladly have paid more if we had been left a welcome pack. it would give you the welcome feeling. but overall a great stay. highly recommended.

Excellent clean and comfortable property ideally located to explore North Wales.

Also discovered another gem of a beach which for many years just drove past, 5 mins from the property, Pensarth.

We had a brilliant holiday, loved the bungalow and the area, the transport links are a definite yes, from us.

The bungalow is in a really nice location, with a village, supermarket and beach close by.

The back garden is closed off and has a good size driveway. The bungalow was clean and tidy with ample space. The neighbours are really nice and happy to have a chat. Would happily stay here again.

We had really lovely stay at Castle cove, had everything we needed even few extras like washing up liquid and milk ready for us, the owners were really nice and super helpful, the information about local area, walks they had also very handy to have.

Overall great break.

the settee was uncomfortable to watch TV or get up from, you sank into the upright back support cushion and even though the seat position had been reinforced you still sank down.

Location is fantastic. Easy for beach, town/shops & other resorts along the Welsh North Coast. Lovely area for dog walking. The property was very comfortable. Loads of interior space. No freezer though, just under counter fridge (not even a freezer box at the top) Wasn't a major issue for us but as we were lucky enough to have hot weather it would have enhanced our stay. Good size back garden to sit out in, peg out any washing & for your dog to roam. (Very secure) Overall a great place to stay. We wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend.

Lovely bungalow nice and peaceful good base for exploring Wales

We had a very comfortable week at Castle Cove.

The location is perfect for exploring North Wales as it is close to the A55. It is a short walk to a large Tesco store and the Hight Street with its pubs and take-aways. The bungalow has everything you would expect with off street parking and was perfect for us and our dog. The property is in a very quiet residential area with no through traffic. The back garden is sheltered and I managed to have my breakfast outside on a couple of mornings. We would certainly return if we visited the area again.

It was spotlessly clean, well equipped and very peaceful. It is close to all amenities and we will definitely be booking again.

We felt very much at home at Castle Cove.

It is located in an exceptionally quiet location near to the town centre. It is ideal for 'walkies' as there are snickets and small wooded areas close by. We were also able to walk to Pensarn Beach, Pentre Mawr Park and Gwrych Castle. We were blessed with good weather all week so the suntrap (and enclosed) garden was an added bonus. The owners were friendly and approachable.

The property was as listed, a comfortable 2 bed dwelling within easy reach of most amenities.

The thoughtfulness of the owners to provide things such as cling film, foil etc and a very much enjoyed pack of dog treats for our little Casper was greatly appreciated. The beds and bedding was comfortable too. If there was one thing that we would have to comment negatively about, it would be the very comfortable looking sofas. Unfortunately they were very hard to get up from once we had sat in them. This did spoil the relaxation part of our holiday, as we had to sit mainly on the dining chairs from the kitchen. We had noted that this seemed to be a recurring theme in several of the comments left both online and in the visitor book, in the property. We were very pleased that the garden was as advertised, totally dog safe, so we could let our dog roam around without any worries. It was an all round lovely few days away. This property was absolutely wonderful, every little touch added to make us feel welcome and at home.

From the greeting of a bunch of flowers, to providing all those little touches including books for us to read. The property was spotless and was an ideal base for North Wales. The property is on a small estate consisting of bungalows and the people are really really friendly. I felt so at home at the property from day one, I would happily have stayed there forever. It is a little gem and I totally recommend staying at this lovely property.

We enjoyed our Christmas break in this lovely, comfortable, clean and warm property a special thankyou to the owners for the Christmas welcome pack including treats for our little dog, hopefully we will be going again.

Hi we found the cottage extremely clean and welcoming.

The description of the property was spot on. The cottage is well situated being in a very quiet area but also close enough for accessing all that north Wales has to offer, If there was one thing I would change would be the seating in the living room as they are very low and you tend to sink into the ends. This is by no way a criticism but a consideration of the older people. The beds were fantastic and we all slept well! I would definitely book this property again.

The cottage was well situated for travelling around the area.

It contained all that you would need while away from home. We kept finding more and more items every day. The garden was safe and enclosed for our dog. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The bungalow was just as described.

Clean and tidy, well provided with kitchen equipment, comfortable beds and ideally placed to explore north Wales. The only issue was that the sofa cushions did not support us at a height that enabled us to stand up again without a struggle.

The bungalow is in a good location in as far as exploring North Wales, if you are prepared to drive.

From opening the door on the first day to locking was a trouble free time. The bungalow is basic in some aspects, however, some aspects are above basic. We found the sofa’s were a little too welcoming, the double bed was very comfortable, pillows were amazing. The Fushia bush at the front door was really welcoming. Neighbours are also very friendly and are willing to assist with any local knowledge wanted. But most of all it’s a wonderful place to recharge, reboot and relax.

Had a lovely stay.

The neighbourhood is excellent and proximity to the beach is good. Local shops and other amenities are conveniently accessible, great options for food! A small table fan would have been nice to have for the very hot days, although not a must have! Overall a pleasant experience

We loved our stay at Castle Cove, the bungalow was so clean and welcoming, definitely a home from home feel, shame no freezer area in fridge for ice to enjoy a G&T in the garden.

A 5 min walk to the town of Abergele which has great pubs serving delicious food as well as a large Tesco, Looking forward to our next stay to visit family and friends.

Missed not having a freezer and the shower could do with resealing, everything else was good.
