Wonder along the lake side of the spectacular Trawsfynydd Lake, or go a little further and do the eight-mile circular walk and cycle path.

The lake offers boating and fishing opportunities and there is even a lake side cafe.This splendid cottage is centrally positioned to enjoy the delights that Snowdonia and the North Wales coastline has to offer.Within only a short drive, you can be at one of the beautiful beaches, visit Portmeirion Italianate Village, or if you fancy something a little more exhilarating, then nearby Blaenau Ffestiniog is home to Zip World Titan, the Zip Caverns and Bounce Below.

Surf Snowdonia is within easy reach, and the popular mountain biking center at Coed Y Brenin is only a few miles away, offering fantastic mounting biking for all levels, and wonderful woodland walks.

For those looking for a more extreme bike ride, Antur Stiniog downhill mountain biking is just a short drive away.

Take a tour around Llechwedd Slate Caverns, a ride on the famous Ffestiniog Railway, or simply admire the stunning mountain views.

Porthmadog 12 miles; Dolgellau 13 miles; Harlech 14 miles.

This traditional Welsh village lies in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park, and is surrounded by the Rhinog, Moelwyn and Arenig mountains. The impressive Trawsfynydd Lake, which is only a short walk from the village, is renowned for its fishing and offers a recently completed walking and cycling route around the entire lake. The village itself boasts a small variety of shops. This area is a mecca for outdoor activities including excellent water sports, climbing, walking, fishing, golf and mountain biking. The beautiful beaches at Black Rock Sands, Harlech and Barmouth are close by, as are the bustling towns of Dolgellau and Porthmadog. Visit castles, narrow gauge railways, slate and copper mines and the famous Portmeirion Italianate Village.
