Fell in love with this place and would Definitely come back again.

Ticked all my boxes and more , amazing location and amazing place to stay.Wished I had booked 2 weeks instead of one.My dogs were so sad to leave and I was too.

We enjoyed our stay in the lodge, the dogs had a lovely garden to run round.

The location was perfect, a few minutes from the Beach, Restaurant and Spar supermarket. The only problem was the en-suite and shower room need updating (especially the showers) All in all the living room, dining room/kitchen and bedrooms were comfortable.

This Bungalow is not as nice as the first time we went 4 years ago.

It’s mostly general maintenance that needs to be done. The basin in the master bedroom was chipped, the cups and mugs need a disinfectant and some were chipped. When we opened the blinds my wife couldn’t stop sneezing with the dust which was also apparent on the TV and stand. The master bedroom bed was really comfortable though. It wouldn’t stop us from going back though as it is in an ideal position for the beach and cafe’s and the Spar shop.

The accommodation was clean except the oven which we didn’t want to use because of its cleanliness.

The accommodation is looking tired and the carpet in the shower room was not what we think is suitable. One of the sun loungers was broken which fortunately due to the weather was not required. One of the sofas was very uncomfortable and clearly requires change or repair. The front door retaining catch was broken therefore if left open would close in a wind. This could be hazardous especially if children are there. The location was good however parking was an issue if more than one car was there. Generally this accommodation was average and requires some maintenance before let again.

This was our second visit and we'll return again.

Ken, the owner, is very friendly and welcoming. Property is ideal for beach. Garden is very secure for fur babies.

Owner was lovely to. Location was great . We had a great time and have already booked for next year. The shop was so convenient and had a great selection of sea food

The caravan was very comfortable and had everything we needed upon arrival, even down to a pint of fresh milk in the fridge!

The bed was very comfortable and large! The towels and bedding were high quality and we were toasty warm thanks to the central heating. Beautiful views of the mountains from the veranda, especially when the snow came! Close to all amenities and beach just across the road. The host was extremely helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble for him . I will definitely book again for summer so we can make use of the sun beds on the veranda. That will be a real sun trap in the summer months! 10 out of 10 from us ! Thank you

My wife and I had a really nice break of a week in the lodge.

It was comfy and had all amenities accept dishwasher which is understandable due to the amount of space. The decor was tasteful and the use of cupboard space was terrific. We often used the TV in the bedroom and shower next the where the boiler is situated. I would say the Lodge is fine accommodation for two adults although there are two single beds in the second bedroom, it could get a little cramped during breakfast times! After all said it is very close to the beach/bay which is only a short walk and the local spar shop attendants were extremely helpful.

We were very disappointed with the accommodation - as soon as we walked into the property there was a mouldy smell, we soon discovered one of the bathroom carpets were soaking wet as was the hall carpet and the main bedroom.

We didn’t use that bathroom our whole stay as we felt there must have been a leak either the toilet or shower! Fortunately we had good weather so we kept the windows and doors open all the time! We pointed this out to the owner - he was going to replace carpets after our stay, which didn’t help us. We were unable to use the main bathroom and were offered no compensation even though we had paid nearly £1,000 for the week! The position of the caravan/lodge was good and the enclosed garden but would we stay there again - no! When we booked through Sykes we expected a high standard and it was far from that! The carpets were that saturated my husbands socks had to be changed immediately he walked on them, this hadn’t happened in the previous week this had been happening for quite a while!

Happy to recommend this property and the owner Ken and his wife were absolutely lovely and friendly.

The lodge could do definitely with a spruce up but was spotlessly clean with everything you need for your holiday. The garden and location were absolutely fantastic for us and our dogs, we would definitely go again.

The best thing about this property is its location, literally walk across the road and you’re on the beach.

Also really close to restaurants/ bars, spar just next door, scarlets fish and chips 1 minute walk and the stores deli just down the road. As others have said, the lodge does need a bit of maintenance- a huge piece of wallpaper had been ripped off next to one of single beds, really big stains on carpet and it did smell a bit doggy at times. Nothing to spoil the holiday but I took photos as soon as I arrived as I didn’t want to be blamed for it especially as Sykes says there is a £250 charge on this property. I would also suggest a taller bin in the kitchen and the information folder could do with updating / more information eg I didn’t know there was a washing line outside until we spotted it on the last day, and there is a washing machine in the shed. Would return due to location though and owner was very friendly and contactable.

Really enjoyed our weekend away, excellent location, close to beach and restaurants and shops, our dog loved exploring the fully enclosed garden.

Lodge was clean and tidy with lots of little extras like milk, juice, cereals and Welsh cakes all very much appreciated. Will definitely be back again.

Great lodge for travelling with your pets in a beautiful part of Wales.

Many beautiful beaches and walking routes close by. The bay itself has everything you need: restaurants, take-aways and small shop. Large supermarkets only 10 minute drive away. The lodge is not new or pristine but very cosy and comfortable and perfect if you dont want to stress about having your pets on holiday with you. Nice size, fully enclosed garden and off road parking is great. The lodge has everything you need to stay comfortably- kitchen fully equipped if you fancy cooking meals, plenty of hot water and two bathrooms, comfortable beds, warm and cosy. The host was excellent when the heating went off and literally within minutes came round and fixed it. We had a lovely week.

Home from home x Had a brilliant stay.

Very comfortable. Had all the facilities needed for a great week. Just one little comment, a few stepping stones around the side of the grass to get to the lodge steps would be great, it rained when we stayed and it was quite muddy.

After initial trepidation of the location, we thoroughly, thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Loved the fire as a focal point, the heating soon warmed us up. The beach 2 minutes away. Hopefully we will be back next year. Thank you.

Fantastic location, easy parking and fenced in private garden which is fab for children and dogs.

Got everything you need and decent size accommodation. Ken the owner was really responsive and friendly, we had a lovely stay.

Lovely location close to beach and secure garden for children/dogs brilliant property getting tired and needs some tlc everything you could want is supplied including lovely welcome pack cereals milk orange juice etc.

we had a few issues, on arrival main toilet was constantly running due to faulty valve which owner was going to get fixed floor was soaking which owner said was down to over zealous cleaning, we found extractor light wasn’t working and lever on shower/bath which altered flow didn’t work so if you showered it was also running in bath and visa versa which is a shame as you could see with that with a bit of tlc would be wonderful.

Fabulous location straight over from beach.

Treardurr bay is stunning. Pubs, spar etc minutes away. Lodge has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Owner welcoming. Bed very comfortable, and use of outdoor furniture great. Place could do with a declutter in kitchen, had to shift stuff about to put our food in cupboards. Also glasses unit in kitchen needs dusting. Despite this I would still recommend.

This was our second time we have stayed here,the location is excellent and we love the secure generous garden for our dogs.

The shower and bathroom could do with some TLC and the plastic bath mat needs cleaning or changing.Overall we love staying here it was peaceful and quiet.

On arrival greeted by Ken the owner who showed us around and explained everything and was there within minutes during our stay when gas bottle needed changing.

The lodge was clean and fresh, no residual doggy smells from previous occupants. The main bed was very comfortable.Plenty of cooking utensils etc, everything we needed was supplied. Patio furniture was supplied. The enclosed garden was great for our two dogs. Location of the lodge was great, just across the road from the beach and cafes. Spar convenience store next door with very friendly staff. We had five very relaxing nights here and didn’t need the car. Would have happily stayed longer if we could have. Can highly recommend and would definitely return out of season when no doggy restrictions on beach ( May to September there are restrictions) All in all a lovely break in very comfortable accommodation.

Ideal for beach and restaurant opposite.

Clean and comfortable. Didn't realise shower cubicle was so small. The pots and pans are showing their age and are really ready for replacement as is the dishdrainer which is actually rusty. We were unfortunate with the weather, gales, torrential rain and even dog but still enjoyed our stay.

On arrival the caravan looks lovely, fantastic location , just a stroll over road and you’re at beach .

Slight smell of dog when you arrive, we have a dog but there is no need for dog smell , a good carpet clean would get rid of that . The single beds very uncomfortable , need replacing as you can feel springs. Double bd very comfortable . Hearing kept switching off which was sorted quite quick with a gas bottle change and ken( owner) was apologetic. With a bit of maintenance and tlc it would be lovely.

Overall the property is lovely but does need some repair in rooms like the ensuite, bathroom and living room.

Generally a bit tired looking. The property is well situated within the Bay and is comfortable and clean. The garden area is perfect for dogs.

Had an enjoyable stay the property owner was very helpful.

Did lots of walking with our dogs on the surrounding beaches as it’s a beautiful place only downside was we tried to speak to the local people but they completely ignored us which was a shame so sadly we will be not returning.

We enjoyed our stay at the lodge.

The enclosed garden is brilliant for children and also dogs. Need to be careful on the decking around the home though, our boys slipped a number of times. The lodge has very spacious living area, however the sofas are not very comfortable. It is very well equipped with everything you need pots, pans, cutlery etc. The bedrooms are comfortable and very warm! All in all we enjoyed our stay!

The central location was good.

Having somewhere to park was good. However, the photos on the site are not a good representation of the quality of the accommodation, which smelt very strongly of wet dog in every room. Also some of the fittings and amenities are old and tired with peeling paint, and mould. Also, quite afew lightbulbs did not work. But the dog smell in the carpets, beds and sofas was the main distraction, which is a shame for such a good location. It needs some tlc.

I was unable to stay due to a health issue but my best friend went with her son and two dogs and said Coed Llai was an absolute gem and everyone was so friendly and helpful!

My wife and I booked in on the 23 Sep for a week, however what we found in the lodge was not what the advert stated for the following reasons.

The general decore was very tired and long overdue for a makeover, the main bedroom stank of animals to the extent we could not use it, we appreciate that it was advertised as pet friendly but the general cleanliness was poor, which pointed to the poor cleaning standards after each use.Sykes gave it a 4 tick rating (when was this last revied??). We returned the keys after two nights and returned home, on a brighter note the staff in the Spar were very helpfull in getting the wifi code sorted. Overall very dissapointed.

A huge thanks to Ken and Jenny for the welcome we received, and for knowing that they would be on hand if we encountered any difficulties.

The caravan is ideally situated for all amenities, from shops and restaurants to wonderful coastal walks. The caravan is in need of a little TLC, but overall, it was comfortable and accommodating, beds and bed linens were excellent. Ken, don’t forget, if ever you decide to sell, please give me first refusal! Ha! Ha! Ken and Jenny - thank you both once again!

Fantastic place , superb position handy to all amenities, the owner very helpful.

We stayed here as a couple with 2 cocker spaniels for a week.

The lodge is lovely, very roomy inside and very clean. Bedding and towels were provided. Nice little touches from the owner with a selection of cereals,milk,coffee,tea and sugar so you could have your first breakfast without worrying about going out. Owner lives next door and is very approachable. The garden is enclosed so suitable for the dogs to run around and the beach is across the road. Spar shop next door. The Chinese restaurant in the village is lovely, highly recommend.

This was our second holiday in this property.

Lovely and clean and everything you need. Very private and in a good location, shop on the doorstep and beach just across the road. Any problems you have and the owner is on it in minutes. The only thing that could be doing with being replaced are the saucepans and frying pan. But we would definitely recommend this holiday home.

My wife and myself had a wonderful week at the lodge, along with our dog.

The lodge had everything we needed and was in a great location 100 yards to the beach. We will definitely return. Sorry we didn’t get to say goodbye to the owner Ken, we couldn’t see you when we left.

We love this lodge because it's brilliant for our 2 dogs with having an enclosed garden.

We also love the location just across the road from the beach, the sea shack & of course the shop. Unfortunately the lodge is now looking a little tired & needs some updates. However we would return in the future.

Had a lovely few days in Trearrdur Bay, the property was ideal for us and our 2 small dogs.

The garden was secure so we were able to let them off lead without any worries. The decking was an ideal place to enjoy the sun and watch the jets fly over. The owner Ken is a lovely gentleman who is very friendly and happy to help with any issues. The beach is right across the road with easy access and we had lovely walks there. We also had lunch in the Sea Shanty across the road, it was very dog friendly and served a good range of delicious food. The Spar also had a good range of stock and very friendly staff.

The location was fabulous and we enjoyed our stay.

The Lodge was lovely and cosy with a great layout and the Owner was very helpful and friendly. The Lodge was in need of a bit of TLC and could really do with some new bedding, towels and Pots and Pans etc. Saying that we would stay again .

Coed Llay lodge out stay wasn't the best the we left early.

The lodge was very tired and needed a deep clean in a lot of areas .The radiators are rusty and the shower unclean and the shower head just poured also a leaky toilet. Just attention to detail also was not able to use the washing machine as was mouldy . It's in an ideal location with everything to hand just a shame really as it wouldn't take much to put right .I think for the price it should be perfect

Ken was great, very quick in helping us when gas went out.

Lodge does need some maintenance but on the whole it was ok.

We had a great stay at the lodge, the location was 10/10.

The security for the dogs in the garden was second to none, they could run around without risk of getting on to the main road. All the facilities in the lodge were fantastic, everything you needed for your stay. The accommodation was really comfortable, bed and sofas. The lodge, which I fully recommend a stay in, is showing its age, but everything is useable. I would definitely use this accommodation again and the hosts were really friendly, helpful and very accommodating. Absolutely mint, thumbs up all round.

We have recently come back from a weeks stay at this holiday home, we visit the island regularly and this home was in the ideal spot for us especially with having dogs it was easy access to the beach with it just being over the road.

The property is very secure if you have dogs and had no issues in any of them getting out of the garden. However even though the lodge is very nice I did feel as though the carpets in the lounge could do with a clean and the property itself is clean but myself being a germ a fobe I would recommend a deep clean throughout as there was bits of the property that need some TLC… other than this we had a lovely stay for the week…

We had a wonderful stay here.

The owner greeted us on our arrival and was absolutely excellent during our stay. A nice welcome pack including milk,juice, cake and even bonio biscuits for our dog was left for our use. The lodge is set in its own garden which is secure and a good size. The location is superb and the area itself is beautiful with lovely coastal walking.

We really enjoyed this holiday, the lodge is ideally located near a very good restaurant and the beach, all within about 2 minutes walk.

We enjoyed it so much we have booked to return twice next year. The owner is very helpful.

Overall we had a lovely stay!

The location of the lodge is absolutely amazing - that we couldn’t fault at all. The lodge had everything we needed and more - including a little welcome gift with tea, coffee, milk & orange juice which was a lovely touch. The lodge definitely needs a freshen up in some areas but definitely didn’t effect our stay in anyway. I would definitely recommend. We were a family of 4 - 2 adults, 3 year old & 6 month old.

Location is lovely.

We spent most of our time at the beach that was beautiful. Shop and restaurants,costal path and cove activities were a stones throw. We had a lovely holiday.

A really lovely lodge, very secluded and comfortable, very safe for the dogs, everything you need in the property, loved the idea that they have sun loungers on the decking as well, loved the welcome pack of tea,coffee, sugar milk cakes etc, have already booked it for next year.

Perfect place for me and my family plus two dogs, very close to everything you need, shops, restaurants, beach, the cabin itself was nearly perfect, very clean and everything you need, the only slight issue is it needs a bit of TLC to twin bedroom, door frames, but don.

t let this put you off because over wise it is perfect, even the welcome treats the owners leave for you on arrival was a very nice touch, I would stay here again in a heartbeat, thank you for a great holiday.

We had a wonderful holiday at the Coed Llai Lodge.

Clean and bright with a very warm welcome, we were pleasantly surprised how comfortable it was. The double bed was one of the comfiest we have ever slept in, the gated garden was a bonus with us having our 2 dogs with us. The welcome pack was a lovely touch. Just one observation perhaps a new larger toaster 4 slices as opposed to 2 would be very welcome. We will certainly book again

19th Mar my wife and I spent a week at this property.

It was clean comfortable, great location. Owners Jenny & ken were brilliant nothing too much trouble , a fantastic holiday.looking forward to going again

Great location and totally dog friendly.

Owner was very friendly and helpful. WIFI and TV signal were a bit patchy at times. Very comfortable. We would stay there again.

Great lodge to holiday in.

Needs a few jobs doing. Curtains need changing in main bedroom mould stains on them also both shower pipes need a good clean not nice to look at. Overall great stay in a good location. Owner very friendly

Lovely owners, lodge is in the perfect position and is very much dog friendly.

Lovely place, needs new carpet in lounge lots of dog pee stains on lounge carpet, fridge not working properly even on high setting didn’t keep items cold milk kept going off.

This lodge/chalet is in a great location, quietly situated away from the road on its own secure plot.

A two minute walk has you on the beautiful Trearddur Bay beach. The owner lives above the adjacent (but totally unobtrusive) Spar shop and is on hand to give advice. It is fair to say that the lodge is showing some signs of wear and tear, but nothing that would seriously affect your enjoyment. Suitable for two adults only I would suggest (with possibly a couple of small children in the second bedroom). The internal layout is comfortable. The outside patio with furniture is a great bonus, as is the grassed garden.
