This is listed as a Lodge when in fact it’s a caravan and a rather shabby one at that.

Badly fitted carpet, grubby furniture, dirty greasy and damaged cooking equipment and utensils, mould in the shower. The corners of the edging strips were all dirty. The duvet on the main bed wouldn’t fit properly into the duvet cover and was just a big bulk and very uncomfortable. There weren’t any pillow protectors on any pillow. There was a stale smell in the caravan on arrival. We left early. I would not recommend at all.

It was our second stay at "Beachcomber" and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

The accommodation is very well equipped and comfortable. It's a 5 minute walk to the beach over the footbridge and the views are stunning. Lovely walk along the coastal path to Pensarn .

Have used this static before very clean has everything you need well appointed throughout will book again very nice owner as well

What a lovely stay!

Although we didn’t get the best weather for our break we enjoyed all the comfort in the world, the caravan was lovely and homely. The site and the sister site had all the amenities we could need and travel to the nearby fairs and arcades couldn’t be easier. Thank you for our stay, we will be booking again.

We had a lovely week stay at Beachcomber.

The caravan was very well equipped and comfortable. Llandudno, Rhos On Sea and Rhyl are a short car journey away with lovely beach walks and facilities. Plenty of near by supermarkets too. The caravan site is very well maintained and secure (Fob access to barriers). Beachcomber is literally a few minutes walk to the footbridge to the coastal path and seafront. Lovely walk to Pensarn station which has great coffee shop & café.

Great place to stay, everything is how it is listed, the beach is 3 minutes away.

The caravan was lovely, clean and well equipped with everything needed for a weeks stay.

The beds were comfortable and the shower had good pressure. In a previous review it was mentioned about the trains. They do run from early in the morning to late on but there is only two within the hour. After the 1st couple you forget they are there. The caravan is well placed for access to the beach. You do have to climb some steps to walk over the bridge that takes you over the train line. The beach is stone but once the tide is out there is sand to go on. The caravan park had everything that was needed and the food provided in Jakes was lovely and good value for money when the offer was in place. While there we met a couple who suggested to try the local bakery which is a 20 minute walk along the beach path. They have some wonderful bread, batches baked fresh on the day and fantastic cakes well worth a visit. The bakery is close to Knightly’s that have a selection of arcades, rides and bar you can have breakfast in and other meals. We visited the castle where I’m a celebrity was filmed this is only a 10 minute drive away. There is lots of restoration taking place but the view was breathtaking and worth a visit to support the local community. No more than 10 minutes away is a Hungry Horse for good food and value for money and you can take a dog into. From there a further two minutes is an Aldi. We also visited Rhyl and Prestatyn all within a 30 minute drive. I would recommend a stay here you can have a couple of days of not needing to use a car as most places are in walking distance but also plenty to see and do within a 30 minute drive.

The caravan and holiday was perfect for me, my husband and mum.

I cannot fault the caravan either in cleanliness or facilities. It had everything we could wish for from utensils for cooking or entertainment with TVs DVDs. Whether you’ve got glorious weather or if you’re not so lucky and can’t visit the local towns, this caravan has everything you could need to enjoy your holiday. The owner Jean, must work very hard in keeping this caravan spick and span. She obviously cares very much that her guests have the best time. Lovely and comfy and feels like a home away from home. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. Will definitely be booking again. Loved it.

Thank you Jean for letting me stay in your lovely caravan I had a very enjoyable week, great weather great caravan and great countryside what more can you ask for , nice big caravan with plenty of facilities and a nice shower and best of all only 5 or 10 minutes from the coastal path So once again thank you I hope to revisit some time in the future

Enjoyed stay very clean everything you would need in static caravan will book again later

The caravan itself was very nice and mostly well-stocked.

The only trouble is the electric fire in the living room didn’t work properly as it only worked on the first heat setting but other than that everything else was great.

Excellent caravan, we didn't access any of the site facilities.

Jean was very helpful and easy to contact.

Very well equipped and clean.

Plenty of living room space but one of the smaller bedrooms I think would struggle with two adults. Secure site and close to the beach via a bridge. Had a good stay and quickly got used to the noise of the trains which ran close to the caravan. Parking for one car outside caravan and there was a large car park nearby for extra cars. Rubbish bins were some distance away - sort out into food waste, cardboard and tins, glass and general waste.

A lovely holiday home, loved the decor and entertainment options.

Very traditional caravan with plenty of room.

Provided with all the facilities one should need. Cooker, microwave, televisions, central heating, static heater and great internet access. The furnishings were brilliant. The washing facilities were good a small en-suite in the main bedroom and shower room in corridor. I was pleasantly surprised by the efficiency and flow of the shower although it was a bit difficult to turn fully off. As advertised it is near a railway track. This isn’t some quaint Welsh mountain system. It carries local commuting trains and Express trains. I like trains and wasn’t bothered about the rate of traffic. I don’t think it is 24 hr a day but not far off. Anyone considering a stay should bear this in mind. The site management receptionists were very polite and friendly. There are joint facilities nearby by. The accommodation had a good stock of cutlery, plates and glasses. Because we stayed in a colder time I would ideally have liked the premises warmed through and aired immediately prior to arrival. We enjoyed our stay and felt the price was competitive. Clean campsite where you can exercise dogs locally and easy access to the beach via a bridge. Great place

The booking process was a nightmare after being charged too much by Syke’s.

The price did not correlate with what was on VRBO. It took a lot of effort to sort this. And no apology. The caravan was nicely decorated and clean. The location was not very nice though. Very close to a noisy railway line. The swimming pool cost an extra £25 so we didn’t bother.

The caravan was dirty and cold the oven was filthy,crumbs on toaster and table.

radiator in sitting area not working electric fire wouldn’t stay on long enough to heat area. Ad stated internet available this was a major selling point for someone traveling with special need child.owner brought in a dongle it wouldn’t connect she said the site had problems however talking with other guest they were all working. ad said towels supplied there was one face towel on each bed 1 tea towel we had yo go buy towels. dvd player didn’t work loud Electrical buzzing sound when switched on couldn’t be used .Doors don’t close due to carpet been thrown down not trimmed or fitted properly. would have been nice to know we were so close to train line got no sleep.we had to eat out as cooker and oven were filthy with grease even after i had cleaned it couldn’t bring myself to actually cook there nor sit in the ice cold area to eat. We had to cut the holiday short leaving early hours Wednesday as the children were very unsettled at this caravan. we have never at anytime been in a caravan that was in this condition it should not be let out until all the necessary work is complete and caravan made safe and comfortable there was not any PAT tickets on any electrical items. Outside decking has not been cleaned since possibly last season mould growing. bbq rusty uncovered unfit for use. Owner said we were second hire of season disgraceful condition I cannot recommend this caravan. We lost 3 days holiday due the the terrible condition of this property not at all what we expected from a sykes booking We took a couple of photos on arrival as we couldn’t believe what we had walked into This could be a nice caravan but requires quite a bit off maintenance to make it like the ad. also the ad needs to reflect what you are actually getting I accept things can go wrong however this was not right from start.

Ideally situated for the beach and clubhouse and swimming pool.Felt like home.The Owner was so helpful.and made our Holiday enjoyable.Refreshments left a nice touch.Plenty of DVDs to watch. Thank you for a very enjoyable holiday. Arthur and Fiona.
