Traeth Ora

Traeth Ora really is one of the best holiday lets we have stayed in.

Idyllic location only a hundreds metres from one of the best and quietist beaches in the UK. The kitchen dining area is spectacular and really well equipped with all the mod cons you’d expect and even a great set of sharp knives! We’ve returned year after year and simply love it.

Great house, great location, great weather what’s not to like

Lovely welcome pack on arrival & both houses ready & inviting as always. Amazing location for the beach & breathtaking views. A short walk down the coastal path for pizza & refreshments at Lligwy beach. Already booked for a return trip next year!

An exceptional cottage in a peaceful and beautiful location.

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left it felt like a special place to be.

We had a wonderful stay at Traeth Ora.

The cottage is beautiful, very comfortable with all the amenities you need. The beach was a very short walk and it was amazing, our dog loved it. It’s a great base to get out and explore. The weather wasn’t great but I’m sure the garden would be glorious in the summer.

What a wonderful cottage, beautifully converted & extremely well maintained.

The furnishing are of a high quality, everything picked to add a real sense of style to the cottage. Great location, stunning coastline & beach near by, what more could you ask for…

We had a lovely week away, the cottage which was an excellent base and provided everything we required for access to the beach and the coastal path walkways We visited Plas Newydd and Plas Newydd National trust properties.

And walked many miles back and to to Moelfre where we had breakfast at Ann's Pantry. Circular path walks around Bull Bay, Newborough Forest, Beaumaris and around the house were all excellent if a little scary when the wind got up. Also recommend a visit to Melin Llynon Windmill and the Monuts!

Lovely cottage in a beautiful setting and just a 5 minute walk to the beach, which is virtually empty of anyone else.

Comfortable beds and we all slept extremely well. Sofa was a bit of a challenge to sit comfortably but with rearranging of cushions it was ok. Shame there was no condiments for cooking etc but we bought some the following day. Finally, we all have fridge envy - it's fantastic! We hope to return again for another great break

Lovely cottage and location.

A few issues with cleaning and re stocking of toilet paper and black bags. Wasn’t very clean, one cupboard upstairs was full of used bottles and crisp packets. Couple of cold mornings in the main living area, and you can’t over ride it. Ended up having to put the oven on. The big blue sofa isn’t that comfortable. It was 16 degrees. Would recommend the cottage, great location. I think a few extra seating areas around the gardens would be great to take in the different areas.

Great walks from the house and nearby.

We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed the peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

The natural surroundings were beautiful and relaxing. However, the cottage could use a bit more attention to cleanliness – we noticed some dust and cobwebs in places, and there were crumbs in the gaps of the sofa bed. A bath mat in the bathroom would have also been appreciated. With a few small improvements, the stay could be even more enjoyable.

A beautiful house in an amazing location.

Perfectly equipped for our family Easter holiday with adult children. A great space for celebrating a birthday with everything we needed for catering. Having the beach on the doorstep for our 4 legged friend was an added bonus & we barely met anyone else down there. The only thing missing was tea towels! Already looking to book again for next year.

What a wonderful place to celebrate a 70th birthday and Mother's Day with three generations of our family.

This is our 2nd visit to the property and it was every bit as memorable as last time. We all love the cottage and its beautiful surroundings, having been holidaying in the area for the past 30 years. It is lovely to introduce our little grandsons to Traeth Yr Ora and all its delights. The weather has been glorious, ideal for the boys to play on the nearby beach and some of the braver grown ups to go swimming in the sea (although with full wetsuits as only 8.5C in the water!). We hope to come back for another celebration next year. Many thanks to everyone who cares for the cottage - it is everything we could wish for - so clean, comfortable and well equipped in a beautiful, tranquil setting. Best wishes The Dunkerleys.

I visited with my little boy for a relaxing break during half term and it was perfect.

Just as described. The cottage was stunningly beautiful with an amazing open plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The added bonus of our own private beach was amazing and was enjoyed by us all. I have recommended this beautiful gem to all my friends......although on reflection I should have maybe kept this as a little secret retreat for us!!! Will definitely be returning soon, hopefully in the warmer months so we can really enjoy the beach and surrounding area.

A lovely house to have Christmas in.

Enjoyed the stillness on the beach and Estuary. House beautifully clean, warm and comfortable. Saw a red squirrel but no seals. Some of us went in the sea on Christmas Day!

Not negative comments but the property was cold and needed the heating turning up at a time of year that needed it.

Drying towels was hard with radiator only on an hour a day and the underfloor heating was insufficient. A few high level cobwebs need sorting. Need more night lighting outside at this time of year. Really good place and nice views in a quiet location. We have rented a lot of nearby properties from sykes.

Beautiful property with lovely coordinated furnishings and artwork!

Very luxurious!. Superbly presented - the housekeeping team are doing a fantastic job! We asked about logs as we couldn't locate them and the reply was instant and helpful. All sorted. The setting is amazing with access to the most peaceful beach. And there is so much to do in the area - Moelfre and Anne's Pantry, Beaumaris castle and gift shops, lighthouses, model village and endless walks. We actually had a red squirrel visit on the patio - and seals in the bay! Wonderful! Thank you - an absolute gem of a place! ☺️

A very well appointed property, nicely located for beaches and coastal paths.

My issue was with the ambient temperature in the main living area. Although we were advised that the underfloor heating was working for our stay it was not at an adequate temperature to keep the space comfortably warm throughout the week. There is a log burner in place but that shouldn’t need to be relied on. Underfloor heating was advertised as an amenity at the property and it should be maintained at a decent temperature. The zone thermostats were locked and couldn’t be adjusted by the guests. I noticed other feedback making the same point about this issue. During our stay the outside temperature dropped by about 8 - 10 degrees ( from start to finish of the week) and some flexibility needs to be in place to ensure the heating performs accordingly.

Excellent accommodation and facilities, comfortable furnishings and clean throughout.

The only minor snag we had was promptly rectified the next day. The proximity of the beach made the holiday for the children as we were very fortunate to have lovely weather all week. Thanks for a great holiday.

Traeth yr ora was very well equipped and great location but one of the selling points was wifi but there was no internet connection for which I think we should be compensated.

The other selling point was underfloor heating, there was none in fact we were cold the whole time I think the heating was based on time of year not as it should be on temperature I'm sorry for negative review but I feel these things should be pointed out

We have had an amazing time in this cottage, the cottage itself is so beautiful and we have never been somewhere that is so close to the beach, the children thought it was amazing.

We have created so many memories here and would love to come back again. Thank you for letting us stay. We have had the best time.

Our family had an amazing time at the cottage at the beginning of May celebrating my husband's 70th birthday.

The cottage surpassed our expectations and it is ideal for a multi generational family gathering. A lot of thought and care has gone into making it such a comfortable, relaxing place to stay. It is in such a beautiful, peaceful setting with gorgeous views of the estuary and the sea. We know the area very well as many holidays were spent nearby when the children were younger. We were so happy to return and make more memories at Traeth Ora. Thank you to Kevin in the office and Richard the estate manager for sorting out a minor problem so professionally. Wow stunning! What a fantastic cottage. It was pure luxury! Beautifully decorated throughout, with gorgeous furnishings, everything was of the highest quality and so clean, you have thought of everything. The bedding was so comfortable and cosy. We all had the best sleep ever! We absolutely loved our stay. It was so relaxing, with stunning views and such a beautiful beach close by we definitely didn't want to leave. The saying 'hidden gem' would only half apply to Traeth Yr Ora cottage. You will want for nothing from this unique place. Clean, comfortable and cosy, with privileged access to a super private beach. We have had such a relaxing week here, that we do not actually want to leave. All the best and thank you

Luxury, Peaceful & Perfectly positioned.

That's what we loved about Traeth Yr Ora cottage, all in equal measure. thank you for the most relaxing, fun & lovely week away bringing family back together from the Netherlands and Scotland. Couldn't have wanted for any more. We will most certainly be back.

What a beautiful, peaceful and relaxing cottage.

It has been tastefully decorated with quality furniture and accessories, everything you need for the family. We have had a wonderful week here. The weather has been on our side. Many walks down to the stunning beach and coastal walk to Moelfre (the best ice cream). Days out to the sea zoo, Beaumaris, Benllech (finneys is the best chip shop) Stone science is a fascinating place. The bay view restauraunt + bar in Cemaes is lovely food and play area. Very dog friendly everywhere! Loved the swingball, hamper was yummy. Thanks for having us, we will most definetely be back

What a beautiful house!! Stunning beach, perfect for a swim. The most comfortable beds, super showers and very well equipped .... love the fridge! Can recommend - The Tavern on the bay, excellent food. And superb view, also , recommend the boat house (Red Wharf Bay) for a good breakfast. Loads to see and do on Anglesey , even after 30 years of coming! Hopefully be back soon !!! P.S thanks for our treats upon arrival & for allowing us to stay in our new favorite cottage - we love it!!!

What a very special place!

A wonderful spot, a short walk to the beach on the coastal path. Great for individuals, couples families and dogs. Spacious and beautifully decorated. Incredibly comfortable beds, sofas and chairs. I look forward to coming back.

Have so enjoyed spending several days here with family.

What a wonderful spot this is. A lovely home to visit and lots to think about on dark winter nights. The quarry at Amlwch is on the of the wonders of the world John and Hillary What a fabulous fun week we have all had. 2nd time here and it is just as wonderful as the first. Mixed week weather wise but we made the most of each day. We are going to miss this stunning location and the house is really comfortable. Thank you so much for having us. We have had a fabulous stay at the cottage.

The location is stunning and the home is beautiful. Lovely waking up to the amazing sea views and wildlife sightings... We saw a stoat!! We hope to return soon but for now back home to our mediocre fridge!

We have had the most relaxing and enjoyable fortnight at Traeth Ora.

The Cottage is just stunning, beautifully appointed and really well equipped; and it's proximity to the most gorgeous beach gives it a real sense of escapism. We enjoyed some great breakfasts at Ann's Pantry Moelfre, and delicious dinner at the Boathouse in Red Wharf Bay. The fish and chips from Finney's in Benllech were the best! It's also been a great place to explore the area from - We had some lovely days in Beaumaris, Caernarfon, Cemaes, Rhosneigr and Llandudno. Thank you so much for allowing us to get away from it all in this gorgeous property in such a stunning location. We will be back!

Fantastic views, close to the beach - what more do you want? Saw the stoat, many birds, bunnies, owl, Pheasants. Can highly recommend the ice-cream place on the front at Moelfre. We thoroughly enjoyed the peace of the beach, Beaumaris Castle and Anne's pantry at Moelfre. The coastline here is stunning. We were lucky enough to see a red squirrel & seals. I personally couldn't get over the absolute stillness on the private beach - the weather was unbelievably mild for November. Thank you - for your hard work in presenting such a great holiday home! Stunning location with amazing access to walks and beach perfect for rounders, frisbee and swimming. The house is superbly appointed with a kitchen you can actually cook in. Amazing stay!

Lovely house clean and very well equipped.

Simply wonderful - glorious coastal walking & great food (Dylan's, Ann's Pantry & Finneys). Exhilarating Ribride from Menai Bridge, Plas Cadnant Hidden gardens were lovely (as was it's cafe), but do check the opening times (limited) before you go. Almost forgot! Really excellent food at Catch 22 Brasserie - well worth the trip to Valley for.

5 min walk to the beach, which usually empty! Worth a visit to the 'Stone Museum' in Anglesey and the Kinmel Arms in Moelfre - great food & beer garden, both places dog friendly.

So lovely to come back to Traeth Ora again - we will never tire of this location and the amazing beach.

The house is such a home from home and the kitchen fantastically equipped. We even got to make cakes and cookies! We discovered places we didn't get time to visit last year - the beautiful Newborough Forest, a lovely day at Foel Farm, a little potter round the harbour at Amlwch (we hardly saw another soul!), a fantastic day on the Welsh Highland Railway from Caernarfon to Porthmadog and back, and a trip slightly further afield to Conwy which was well worth the visit. For meals we couldn't find a better than the Boat House in Red Wharf Bay, Anne's Pantry (Moelfre) for breakfast, and Finney's fish and chips from Benllech. We feel totally refreshed after our stay, and are taking home fond memories of many a chilled evening on the patio or beach - the weather has been very kind. Thank you so much

Why would you want to be anywhere else?

Lovely cottage, well-equiped with quality items. Beach was a dream for Fergal the fox red Labrador who returns to a very mundane existence. Funnily enough, we loved it too!!

We've stayed in multiple cotttages over the years, and can honestly say that Traeth Ora is 'Simply The Best'!

Wonderfully equiped, superb location, virtual private deserted beach, which Bella our lab/collie cross requested 3 times a day! What's not to like?

We have had a wonderful week in this amazing cottage, fabulous beach and coastal walks.

We went swimming in the sea most days and everytime a seal came swimming very close to us to check us out, it was such an amazing experience. We had one really rainy afternoon when we didn't go out but we were treated to seeing a red squirrel it was on the table outside the cottage and running around the chairs. We will definitely recommend this place to others for it's location and well equipt cottage. We have all loved it.

We've had a lovely week here, a beautiful house in an unspoilt bit of nature.

Despite some interesting weather we still managed some long walks, swims in the sea and some moon gazing. The house is amongst the best we've stayed in. Thank you.

A beautiful cottage in a stunning location. Rain was forecast for most of our trip but it thankful stayed dry. Even a chance for a refreshing sea dip - a chilly 8 degrees celsius in the water! We will certainly be back!

Third time staying at Traeth Ora and it just feels like home for us.

Such a comfortable place, so peaceful and the beach is on our doorstep. We did our usuals, Sea Zoo, Stone Science, Beaumairs, can recommend the Oyster Catcher and Dylans for lunch/ dinner. Visited Plas Newydd and our 10yo daughter was pleased to see Jellycats there in their gift shop. Plenty of fresh air and walks. Much needed week! Thank so much.

Three generations of Hunters spent a truly lovely week here making so many special memories.

We loved the peace & quiet, walks on the beach, the wildlife surrounding the cottage and the home comforts offered. (The Red Squirrel came to visit early morning, which delighted my granddaughter!). The coastal path walks are beautiful & full of wildflowers. A perfect place for a family retreat from a busy life. The weather exceptional. If we ventured out, we loved returning in the evenings. Ate outside most of the week. Thank you

What an amazing house in the most perfect location!

We had a wonderful time and enjoyed every second of it. One week with 20c, swimming and playing at the nearby beach, going for walks and the perfect starting point to explore Anglesey. We loved everything about Traeth Ora and we'll certainly be back one day! It's simply perfect here.

The cottage was an ideal base for us to explore Anglesey but also as a perfectly positioned beach hut for essentially our own private, sandy beach.

The bedrooms gave privacy when needed but the lovely communal room was super place to hangout together. We also appreciated the high quality furnishings and appliances. All in all it has been an unforgettable week.

Our favourite places were The Beach. Our cottage was great and we enjoyed every bit of it and we are hoping that we can come back soon. Top places visited - Beaumaris Castle, Borth Wen Beach & White Eagle restaurant, Snowdonia, Traeth Ora Beach, Ribride beat trip to puffin island, South stack lighthouse, Newborough nature reserve & Llandwyn tidal island.

We can only add to all the superlatives which previous guests have recommended.

Having enjoyed a stay at the west coast some years ago, it is good to discover the east/north coast and this wonderful island. Locally good beach - a deep blue sea, cloudless and just a quiet breezze.

Absolutely agree this is a gorgeous cottage set in a fantastic location.

We loved having a beach so near and that the garden was safe to let our dry out at night. We had two lovely meals at Dylan's in Menai Bridge. I would recommend it. The Ship Inn in Red Wharf Bay in Pentraeth was also good - very friendly & no loud music. Both were happy to have dogs. We've had a week of coastal walking & seal spotting where we'll never forget. We hope to come back soon.
