Another wonderful stay - our fourth - and what a fabulous week we had!

Gareth and Llinos are the perfect hosts. Lovely welcome basket once again , and everywhere is kept so clean and tidy. It is the ideal place to stay and explore the island in full, with everywhere pretty much within a half hour drive at most. Of course we will be back again next year!

Lost count now of how many great holidays we have had here now.

Be it a fortnight over summer, a week in autumn or an odd weekend this has become our go to. It's always clean, comfy, cosy and very well equipped with everything you need. There is always a great welcome pack accompanied by Llinos' fantastic fudge! It's such a great base allowing you to get to where ever you want on the island within 20mins. The cottage is just 2 mins drive outside Llangefni yet with the countryside feel. So it's easy to forget that you are so close to town. Llangefni has lots of shops plus a good sized Asda, Aldi and Lidl. With Gareth and Llinos on site if any problems do crop up they are quickly and efficiently sorted. So thanks again Gareth and Llinos for another fab hol we look forward to seeing you again next year. Marilyn and family.

a nice cool cottage in the hot weather with comfortable lounge and comfortable beds.

The fridge in the kitchen was working constantly and the wash hand basin in the main bathroom had a large crack in it but other than that we had a wonderful holiday.

Property was really nice and had all we needed for a great stay.

Games room was used, sitting areas in the garden to follow the sun, or shade were great. A central location at Llangefni was great for us. Having been to Angelsey many times we were glad to be able to pick up any necessaties in minutes owing to being so near the town centre. Friendly owners and a great welcome with delicious fudge as well as a loaf and some milk. We think we will be back to this one.

A very nice place to stay in.

Owners very helpful and the facilities and location were great. An enjoyable holiday.

We loved our stay in this property had everything you need for a break with the family and in case of bad weather the game room is so entertaining you won’t get bored.

The property owners were so friendly and left yummy fudge she herself made and other few things as a welcome gifts. I think the only thing that I had a bit of trouble with was the mattress, they were too soft for me and some other members of the family , I suffer from back problems and need them to be a little harder but that’s just us. Everything else was perfect and hope we can come back to this wonderful property some day Thank you!

This is such a beautiful and peaceful property which instantly felt like home with thoughtful touches throughout and a very warm welcome from the owners.

The location is also perfect for exploring Anglesey and has a lovely rural feel with the benefit of good amenities a short walk away. Thank you Gareth & Llinos for your amazing hosting. We would 100% recommend this stay to others and would love to return one day.

Once again our stay was fab.

Everything is always spotless and the cottage super cosy and comfortable with everything you need for however short or long your stay. The welcome pack always goes down a treat especially the homemade fudge. This is our home from home and the car could bring itself. It is in such a great position on the island with easy access anywhere in any direction. From beaches, country walks, art galleries, museums and the race track to name but a few. Plenty to cater for all ages. So close to Llangefni yet still in the quiet countryside. Llangefni itself has everything you need from little local shops to the bigger stores - Asda, Aldi, Lidl, Home Bargains and B and M all fairly close together. Once again thanks Gareth and Llinos for another brill stay. See you in Summer. Marilyn

Second visit for us, perfect location with some beautiful places to visit, eat out.

Feels remote even though its quite close to the local village. Even had nice neighbours very quiet...the sheep. Can't fault it, comfy bed, huge space great TV great hosts.

Well where do I start what a beautiful cottage A lovely welcome basket containing one off the best homemade fudge we have tasted ( we have tried a few in our time by the way) John and Llonis introduced themselves after we settled in and were there should we need them for anything The cottage layout is beautiful and plenty of room for us all The kitchen is well equipped although a dishwasher wouldn’t go amiss but it a necessity The games room is great for a change from the tv The fire was great and soon heated the room up and the heating on timer was more than enough to keep us warm on our return from days out The location of this cottage is also perfect for exploring the whole island over a few days It is also close to Asda which is within walking distance We will definitely return sometime as there is still areas we would like to discover Thanks both for letting us use your beautiful home

Beautiful property that is set back from the road and very private.

Welcome tray on arrival which included delicious homemade fudge. Hosts Llinos and Gareth were very welcoming but not intrusive and nothing too much trouble for them. The property is very well maintained with lovely decor, extremely clean, very comfortable furniture and excellent facilities. Ideally situated for days out or local amenities including 3 supermarkets that are a very short car journey away or a pleasant stroll into the town centre. We very much look forward to returning again next year.

Third time staying at Bwthyn Clai, and absolutely fantastic once again!

It is such a brilliant base to explore everything that the Island has to offer (and there is a huge amount to discover and enjoy). Llinos and Gareth are such wonderful hosts, and their warm and friendly nature makes you feel immediately at home. We have already booked to come back in 2026 - looking forward to it already!

A super, very well equipped and cosy cottage.

Close enough to town for the shops yet feels like you are out in the countryside. It's a haven of peace and tranquility. Only 20 mins drive to beautiful beaches. A great base for exploring on and off the island. The great welcome pack includes what must now be almost legendary homemade fudge. Owners Gareth and Llinos are there if you need them but otherwise they let you get on with your holiday. This was our fourth visit and yes we have booked again, it comes highly recomended. We would give it 10 stars if we could!! Thanks again Gareth and Llinos for a warm welcome and helping make a great holiday.

Excellent property in quiet location.

Home owners were fantastic & very friendly

As a family of 3 generations we stayed for a week at Bwthyn Clai late July.

The cottage is stunning with amazing outdoor space for our two girls to play. The cottage has everything you could wish for, and attention to detail was fabulous. Our king size bed was extremely comfortable. Everyone loved playing pool in the games room and the large TV in the sitting room had catch up and Sky. Outside there's a nice grassy area with lots of seating and gorgeous garden/flower pots all around. Being in a central location we were literally 15-20 minutes from a number of beaches. You can walk into the centre of Llangefni where there is a medium size Asda along with Aldi and Lidl close by. The property sits behind the owners cottage and they were perfect hosts, on hand when you needed them but gave space the rest of the time. They had thought of everything, fresh flowers on arrival, milk in the fridge along with home made fudge and cake. What a welcome! Would definitely visit again and would recommend to others as a great place to stay.

Bwthyn Clai is a really lovely property with everything you need for a lovely holiday in North Wales.

Many thanks to the owners for making us feel welcome on arrival and for the cake and chocolate fudge which were a lovely touch. The property itself is clean, private, spacious and very comfortable. Plenty of parking space, good WiFi connectivity and Sky TV and on top of all that, we loved having the pool table and table tennis table at the end of long days touring around the various beautiful locations the area has to offer. What else could you ask for. My family and I had a great time staying at Bwthyn Clai. Thank you. Highly recommended.

This is an amazing cottage and location.

Our hosts were wonderful. They came to introduce themselves when we arrived and gave us an amazing welcome basket. The cottage was spotless, extremely well equipped and very comfortable. We would definitely recommend this cottage.

The property is simply amazing and has everything you need. Situated in a fantastic spot with a walk into the local town or a short drive from so many wonderful places, beaches and eateries. For anyone staying be sure to visit Porth Diana beach Trearddur Bay and have a spot of Lunch at the Oystercatcher.

Exceptional property in great location for getting around the island.

Games room and outdoor seating area were particular favourites but all the facilities were of a very high standard. Welcome pack provided by the owners was also greatly appreciated. Would recommend and definitely go back.

Comfortable place to stay, we had a great time with family. We enjoyed it so while we still on holiday we booked again for September. Llinos and Gareth are very friendly people. The property was very clean, well equipped and spacious.

The 'welcome' hamper was a lovely surprise (especially the chocolate flavoured fudge), and the vases of roses were much appreciated. The friendly and welcoming owners kindly greeted our party upon arrival and were nearby if we needed them, but allowed us privacy during our stay. We all had a very comfortable and enjoyable time and thought the property was in an ideal location for exploring the island. We would love to return for another holiday.

What a beautiful property, located next to a cute little sheep field with fantastic views and peace and quiet.

We were welcomed with a basket of cakes, bread and homemade fudge along with some milk in the fridge. The place was spotless, and the beds were so comfy. The games room was a massive hit with my three children, my 6 year old now thinks he’s a pool shark. This is a generously sized property and really made our holiday. The location was ideal for us as we managed several great family days out, the Southslack lighthouse is a must! There’s a couple of great national trust places, Beaumaris with its boat trips and the castle. If you don’t mind a bit of a drive there’s zip world, and forest alpacas where you can take alpacas for a walk. There’s plenty of parking at the cottage, a handy porch area for coats and muddy shoes too. The owners live next door and welcomed us on arrival, but very much left us to enjoy our holiday in peace. If I’m being picky I’d have liked a dishwasher, otherwise the place was perfect. We would definitely return.

This was our third stay here and we have definately fallen in love with this lovely cottage (not to mention the fudge) and the island in general.

It's a well equipped, comfortable bungalow with the out in the countryside feel yet close to the town. It's a fantastic base for exploring all the delights that Anglesey has to offer. You are always guarenteed a warm welcome from Gareth and Llinos with a brill basket of treats including what must be rapidly becoming Llinos' famous fudge (loved the GF cakes too). So Thanks again Gareth and Llinos and we look forward to seeing you again in summer.

What can I say what hasn't already been said In other reviews.

We had a week just two of us, and we both loved our stay, very sad to come home. Perfect base for travelling around the Isle or not far from other attractions. We loved the big TV with sky & netflix, very thoughtful hosts with a loved bungalow which shows. A very private space to feel relaxed and tranquil with gorgeous natural sunlight through every window.. thankyou for an enjoyable stay see you again soon vickie & shaun

The house was brilliant, down to every detail.

There was a lovely welcome basket in the kitchen on arrival with local produce, and a pint of milk, which is often overlooked by some places we have stayed. Llangefni had everything that you need for essentials, three supermarkets is more than enough. Owners were lovely, definitely stay again. Recommended.

When we arrived we were welcomed with some lovely home baked goodies and given a second batch of homemade fudge ready for our journey home, very thoughtful thank you! It was handy to know that the owners live close by if we needed any help with anything.The cottage had all the home comforts and the kids especially enjoyed the games room. The house was gorgeous, warm and cosy with a great kitchen, lounge and games room. The owners were lovely and we loved the welcome pack - especially the fudge. It’s a great base from which to explore Anglesey and we enjoyed a trip to Beaumaris and Red Wharf Bay, as well as being lucky enough to see a party of red squirrels in the nearby woodland!

This is the ideal property to use as a base to explore the magnificent island of Anglesey.

Everything about the property is superb. The large and homely kitchen is fully equipped with more than enough cutlery, crockery, glassware etc. The large kitchen table is excellent too. The living room and games room are great spaces to relax and have fun. Having both a bathroom and shower room provides great options. All of the beds are very comfortable indeed. The owners, Gareth and Llinos, greeted us and gave us the most wonderful welcome in person, and the welcome basket was incredible (and especially the homemade fudge - thanks again Llinos!). Even lucky enough to see a Red Squirrel having a little visit to the garden. Overall, just a fantastic week - wish it could have been longer! We will most certainly be back in 2025.

Absolutely fantastic property.

All amenities catered for, above and beyond any property we've stayed in before and we have been booking through sykes for 7 years. Love that the owner checked in on us as we arrived and left a basket of yummy treats. We had the best week (even though the weather wasn't the kindest) lf we were to return to North Wales in the near future we would definitely look for this property. We loved it!

Our stay at Bwthyn Clai cottage in Anglesey was nothing short of perfect.

We were a group of four adults and one 12-year-old, and the experience exceeded all of our expectations. From the start, the communication was excellent. The directions sent via email were clear and easy to follow, ensuring we found the cottage without any hassle. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by the lovely hosts, who made us feel right at home. They had thoughtfully provided a large hamper filled with goodies from a local bakery, and the homemade chocolate fudge was absolutely delicious! The fresh flowers in the cottage were a lovely touch, and the flowers in the garden were a burst of color, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. The cottage itself was spotless and had everything we could have needed—it truly felt like a home away from home. The owners clearly put a lot of care into ensuring guests have a comfortable stay, providing a very generous selection of toiletries, including every variety of Radox. One of the highlights of our stay was the games room, where we spent most of our time. We had so much fun playing pool that we now consider ourselves professional pool players! The cozy log fire was a real treat, especially on those cold and windy summer days, making the evenings extra special. The cottage is surrounded by beautiful grounds with ample parking, and the outside seating area was a perfect spot to relax after our long walks. While the owners live next door, they give you complete privacy but are always available if you need anything. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can't wait to come back to this little slice of heaven in Anglesey. Highly recommend!

This was our second stay and have booked again as we love this cottage; As another person said the photos don't do it justice but then you can't show the kindness and loveliness of the owners, nor can you show how peaceful and serene the surroundings are in a photograph; Yes there is a main road running past but it is easy enough to ignore that as it's not very busy.

The photos don't show that it is surrounded on all sides by countryside yet it's close enough to walk into Llangefni. It's less then 10 minutes from the A55 so its easy to get to most places on and off the island. The photos also don't show the homeliness of the cottage, if a building could give you a hug as you walk in this one certainly would. It is comfortable and cosy with everything you need and much more. the new benches and tables next to the existing picnic table making a perfect addition. The welcome pack is great and the homemade fudge certainly adds to the uniqueness of this cottage So thanks again Gareth and Llinos for another fantastic stay,

The cottage was conveniently placed with plenty of parking.

Everything was very clean and comfortable. Our grandson particularly appreciated the pool and ping pong table, plus the table football. Our hosts called in to see if we had everything we needed and were very friendly. Highly recommended.

What an amazing stay at Bwthyn Clai!

A beautiful property and amazing location. The property had everything we needed and if anything the pictures did not do it justice. From the welcome pack on arrival, attention to detail around the home to a check in with the owners … it became a home from home. The location offers a picturesque escape from the town yet is still only a 10-15 minute walk to the shops, pubs and beyond. The stay really was perfect for our family of 5 and we certainly will be booking again ! Thank you !

Bwthyn Clai was absolutely brilliant, the whole family enjoyed the cottage, pool table was a big hit with the children.

We enjoyed a beautiful week in Anglesey in a beautiful cottage owned by lovely people.

The cottage is very spacious, extremely clean and well maintained, very comfortable and a home from home. With its central location it's easy to get to anywhere on the island or north Wales coast. The owners live next door but leave you to it but always willing to help if there's anything you need. Would we stay there again? Absolutely.

This was our second visit and we really enjoyed it.

Took along extra family members this time and they thought it was amazing. There was a lot of talk about what we could do to buy it! Ha,ha. It has everything you want for a self-catering holiday. The pool table, ping pong, football table game are all additional bonuses. It really doesn’t matter what the weather is, the home has a lovely way of making it pleasurable. The garden is lovely, well maintained and a real sun trap. The extra touch of a cake, home-made fudge, fresh flowers and Prosecco for a 60th wedding anniversary celebration was so very kind. I really can’t recommend this home enough. I have shared it with many friends. It is also very close to Asda and other big shops, aswell as numerous takeaways for a nice treat. Good Chinese from The Phoenix and curry from Sara Spice…..both 5min drive away. The Dingle nature reserve is beautiful and a 20min walk away. There is also an art gallery with a lovely cafe and outdoor space for dining up the hill, approx 10min drive.

Very enjoyable stay.

The accommodation was ideal, very comfortable and hit all of our requirements. Very peaceful and relaxing, with great scenery. It was also lovely to meet the owners who were very nice people. Would certainly recommend this premises to anyone.

Arrived excited and left happy and refreshed!

Ease of booking and communication with Gareth, providing clear directions, made for a warm welcome and gave us the perfect start to what turned out to be an unforgettable weekend. The house is very well equipped, comfortable and spotless. Even the toilet paper had been hinched! The kitchen provides cupboards and drawers galore and an abundance of useful equipment and crockery for every occasion - afternoon tea, picnics, cooking and baking. The games table was an absolute winner and the laughter it created was priceless. Precious family time spent in beautiful surroundings with wildlife on the doorstep. Sheep, pheasant, songbirds and a nice rural outlook on tap! A weekend is not long enough to take in the beauty of the island so we would love to return for a longer stay. Two unforgettable highlights - Llanddwyn Island and our amazing welcome basket. The fudge was devoured. Sleep is important too and the beds did not disappoint. Very comfortable, clean, everything you need. Home from home. Highly recommended. And great little touches when you arrive.

We liked it so much that within a hour of arriving we booked it for two weeks next year.

On arrival we were warmly greeted by Llinos & Gareth ,despite the fact it was after 9 pm, Gareth proceeded to give us a useful guided tour of the bungalow. There was a useful and tasty welcome hamper. The accommodation was without fault. Immaculate and very well equipped. Quietly located on the edge of town yet a 5 minute walk to the shops. Should we return to Anglesey we will have no hesitation in booking again.

What a lovely place to stay!

Bwthyn Clai was fantastic. Very spacious and clean. It’s situated in the middle of Anglesey which meant that we never had too far to drive to explore. Unfortunately we did not get the weather we had hoped for, so the games room saved the day multiple times. The children absolutely loved it and asked if we could live there forever! Gareth and Llinos were fantastic and very helpful with any questions we had. Highly recommended. Also, the chocolate fudge was the best we’ve ever had!!

Where do we start?

The moment we pulled into the drive we were wowed! Not sure the pictures do it justice! Stepped inside and fell in love with the home immediately. It was ideal for my parents with being on one level. Had everything you need. Also, the beds were very comfortable, the pillows and duvet were sumptuous. Really enjoyed using the pool table and playing some of the children’s games that we haven’t played for many years. A bonus have Sky sport so “the match” could be watched! We enjoyed sitting in the sun trap of a garden and admiring the beautiful views. It is an idyllic chill out holiday home that we enjoyed so much, that we booked to stay for a week next year! Sadly, we were only there for the weekend on this occasion. Thanks to Gareth & Llinos for being so friendly and the welcome goodies & fresh flowers were a lovely touch.

We can’t praise it enough!

!! The welcome hamper was so sweet and the fresh flowers. The home made chocolate fudge was absolutely delicious. My first worry is how clean will this place be where we’re going to stay at but I have no complaints about this cottage at all. All spick and spam. So much essentials were provided that I didn’t need to take anything with us. Having an Asda down the road and a halal takeaway was also really helpful. We were very pleased, it was just beautiful. The family that own this cottage were a very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Thank you guys we loved staying there

The cottage was gorgeous inside and out, with lots of lovely little touches - from the yummy home made chocolate fudge and welcome pack of local produce to having the everyday essentials to hand (like washing up liquid, foil, kitchen roll - which when are not there you feel like you are packing everything but the kitchen sink for a short stay). We would definitely stay again and most likely for longer as it was so lovely. It would make a lovely bolt hole to stay at if you were not busy out and about too.
