Absolutely stunning cottage, so clean, comfortable and cosy.

They have thought of everything, it felt like home from home. The views from the conservatory are beautiful, it was relaxing to sit and watch the sheep in the field - so peaceful. The beds are very comfortable, we slept very well. Our Frenchie had a great time too, he was safe in the outside area, and he loved Black Rock Sands beach. The cottage is in a perfect spot, secluded but also close to shops, harbour and other places to visit if needed. We would highly recommend staying here, we will definitely return - thank you for a wonderful break!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We arrived when storm Amy was at its height, got in the cottage and we were snug and warm.

The second bedroom was a bit tight, Ok for 2 children, but a squeeze for 2 adults, the kitchen was a good size, a few problems, dish washer needed salt, the washing machince, does not have any detergent/pods. Also no cling film or foil, no baking trays,or roasting tins, as we like to buy local produce, from small producers, and cook our meals, that said, it was a great location, lovely walks around, rock sands beach 30 min walk, even though there are 2 other holiday lets, you would not know they are there, a lovely place to stay, just take your own washing powder/pods, cling film foil and baking trays!!!!, you will have a great time, if there are 4 adults best to book one of the other two cattages

One of the nicest holiday cottages we have stayed in.

Well-equipped kitchen. The downstairs shower room was nicely done—lovely peaceful location, short drive down to Black Rock Sands and well placed for exploring North Wales. We liked the spacious conservatory, which led out to the patio, both sunspots and the games room would be a bonus for families. The cottage would be cosy in the autumn and winter. Porthamdog is a short drive and has major supermarkets, etc. I would highly recommend this property and would return again.

We enjoyed our week at Garth Morthin.

The cottage has everything you need for your stay. The large conservatory and extensive patio was a real bonus. The location is quiet and secluded down a country lane. The beach is at one end of this lane. Not too busy on weekdays, but much more traffic on what was a hot sunny weekend.

.near Porthmadog is a perfect get away venue it contains everything you need should you stay in and cook , ample eating establishments are very near , the conservatory makes the cottage , a huge area of light relaxing space , its spotlessly clean , and I never found time to really use the aladens cave of the games room , would I return very much so ...two bathrooms just perfect ....please don't book when I want to return 5 star

We had a wonderful stay at Garth Morthin The stables we loved the sun room and the fabulous view from the patio area… it was just like a moving painting!

We could have watched the sheep with their lambs for hours including my little Frenchie! Such a peaceful retreat and we had amazing weather. I can only say that when our week came to end we didn’t want to leave.. we were moving to another property but just wanted to spend another week in such an idyllic location.

We had a great time and would definitely return.

All three cottages in the complex were booked for our sons wedding in Criccieth, a lovely way to relax & meet our new family in peaceful surroundings yet close to beautiful beaches, Porthmadog for shops , cafes, & local tourist attractions.

Cottage was clean, comfortable, very well equipped with a beautiful conservatory & outdoor enclosed patio area for my Jack Russell , would love to return again.

Great property in a lovely quiet situation with easy access to walking in Snowdonia.

As we were very lucky to have good weather, the patio area and conservatory were highlights. Would love to return.

Just spent our 8th week at Garth Morfyn and have another 3 weeks booked.

Fantastic stay.

The cottage had more than enough of everything. The only thing I would say is that the lights kept dimming on its own.

Absolutley loved our holiday, so peaceful and relaxing.

The weather although cloudy was warm and we got no rain, so made our stay even better. Road to the cottage was narrow but if you drove carefully no problem.

We had a lovely time and were really sad to leave.

The location, log burner and conservatory were amazing. The beds very comfy. It was quiet with loads of wildlife and stunning walks and views. We absolutely loved it and will be booking again. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

Lovely property with everything we needed.

Wish we could have stayed longer! Games room ideal for us as a family with teenagers - had lots of fun and adds another option on a rain afternoon. When we had an issue with the pool table the owner was very responsive immediately helping us resolve it - thank you. Couldn’t have asked for more.

The only downside wS the very basic TV.

My disabled son was hoping fir a modern one that allows him to access his apps. Other than that it was fabulous

Exceptional.

Views breath taking. Near to everything. Games room brilliant. Overwhelmed by the location. We usually holiday in South Wales. Definitely consider the north. Ffestiniog railway breathtaking at Xmas. Northern Welsh very hospitable. Beaches wonderful. The cottage was to die for.

Our 3rd time at The Stables.

We love the place and love the area. We had a very wet fortnight, but the conservatory is so nice that it didn't matter. The sheep in the field opposite kept the dogs amused. In between the showers we were on the magnificent Black Rock sands (20 min walk or 5 min drive). where the dogs ran off their energy. Normally we would be walking in the Eryri (Snowdonia) mountains but with the weather, so just had a relaxing time. Can't wait until next time

After our third visit to this property we continue to be highly satisfied.

We feel like it's a home from home and intend coming back early next year.

Lovely accommodation and we particularly like the new conservatory and downstairs bathroom. We will no doubt be back for a fourth visit.

We had a fabulous stay at The Stables.

The cottage was clean and comfortable. The only (very) minor issues I had was that there were not enough dinner plates for us (we were a family of 3 - there were only 2 dinner plates!), and there was no bottle-opener/ corkscrew. The boys loved the games room and I was taken aback by how large the conservatory and patio area were! Much more spacious than I had expected. We would definitely consider coming back! Location-wise, it is also excellent, tucked away amongst fields and sheep but not far from the beach. Thank you so much for accommodating us!

Best holiday ever in Wales, we absolutely loved the accommodation we are definitely planning on going back.

We stayed here a few years ago.

The removal of the spiral staircase, the downstairs bathroom and the conservatory have turned The Stables from a good place to a great place to stay. We found it very relaxing and we will be returning again and again

Fabulous cottage .

Very clean and tidy . Good views. As the property was dog friendly we took out two dogs . The garden area was not fenced in , so there was a narrow road , which was fairly busy with cars , walkers , bikes sheep across the road ( which were stock proofed). The only are for the dogs was a slate terrace which one dog could get through the fencing and at both ends . This ruined our holiday as we could not relax. The cottage was very clean until it did a ' four in a bed' and looked beneath the top sheet , the mattress topper and its cover were stained with bodily fluids. We left early due to a family emergency.

The upstairs accomodation is a little cramped but there is plenty of space downstairs.

Overall we enjoyed the stay and we all (four adults) agreed we would stay there again.

We have enjoyed the stay at this relaxing, beautiful, spacious little cottage !

I’ve seen a couple of reviews about parking but we were in a 3.5T horsebox with our dogs and it was absolutely fine coming down the lane, just a little tight at the entry that’s all but if we managed then any car would be able to. It was windy and rained most of the days we’ve stayed but we spent the time we were in at the conservatory so we didn’t feel like we were trapped in the house because of the bad weather. 7-8 mins drive to a very quiet beach with dogs so we had pretty much the whole beach to ourselves, dogs absolutely loved it. 5 mins away from the supermarkets, petrol stations, take aways and there are few nice restaurants so very convenient. The only thing is the garden - there’s only patio area / (no pebbles at all ) led from the conservatory is enclosed, the grass areas at the side of the house aren’t fenced off at all and it’s a 6 foot drop / wall from the grass to the road. There isn’t enough lighting around that area and we arrived in the dark, our dog fell down the drop / wall. Luckily he is a big lab, he was fine but we thought he broke his legs to start with. We had to watch our dogs every time we let them out so that’s inconvenient and a bit worrying for us but manageable as long as you are aware of the drop and your dog listens. Wish they have a king size bed instead of double but that’s just us as I have a snoring fidgety boyfriend at night

The location was outstanding with beautiful scenery and very peaceful quiet and tranquil setting. The stables really set our holiday off wow we couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay . We have recommended the stables to family and friends already . There was everything available for us all amenities. We will definitely be coming back loved it . We had a second wonderful stay in the Stables at Garth Morthin.

It now has the addition of a conservatory and a lovely downstairs bathroom. Peace and quiet in an idyllic setting, hope to visit again

Excellent for the dogs too. Everything really well thought out.

this cottage was a delight the kitchin was well equiped the living space was ideal,only down side was the spiral staircase which we knew about before booking but did not like the lack of a handrail.

parking was perfect and on the whole the property was well maintained would recomend

On arrival the oven did not work and a lot of time could have been saved if detailed instructions were left.

under the beds were very dirty and there were lots of dogs hairs on the carpet and furniture which we had to thoroughly clean as we have allergies. The lights above the dining table were faulty and could not be used during Christmas dinner which was rather irritating. Also there are insufficient bin storage outside.

The cottage was really cosy and a great place to come back to after a walk in Snowdonia.

The upstairs was a bit limiting with the sloping ceilings but we were warned about that anyway. Great location for walking in Snowdonia and the beach is just down the road.

Lovely comfortable cottage.

There was everything one would expect for an enjoyable holiday. My only complaint was the toilet in the bathroom was not as clean as one would expect. Apart from that everything was comfortable fir an enjoyable holiday.

Fantastic holiday, cottage brilliant, everything was great, would highly recommend to everyone, owners have gone above & beyond to make you feel welcomed, will definitely return this time for 2 weeks, love the area, central to snowdonia & all the attractions, cottage secluded/ set back so you can just be chilled if that's want you, 5 * star accommodation.

Added bonus is the games room which is packed full. The only minor grumble is no hot tub PLEASE Sykes cottages Would highly recommend for a great holiday experience thankyou

This was our second visit to The Stables and we will certainly be going again.

It’s, beautiful and in a stunning and peaceful location. You couldn’t ask for anything more.

Garth morthin the stables was a lovely comfortable cottage which met all our needs for a relaxing holiday and I'd go back there tomorrow perfect location to explore the surrounding area.

Close to a good selection of beaches.

Quiet unspoilt location. Covid regulations met many places were shut.

The houses are ideally situated in a quite location near to a wonderful old oakwoodland and not too far from Black Rock Sands beach.

The houses are surrounded by wildlife, wounderful trees and associated bord life. We really appreciated the owners work and effort to ensure nature has a home at Garth Morthin. Would highly recommend a stay at any of the cottages and look forward to returing one day.

The stables is a lovely cosy cottage in the most perfect location, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, so much so we have booked again for next year (well we have booked the barn for next year but would happily stay in the stables again) Only comment would be there was nothing to light the log burner with so make sure you take a lighter/matches with you

Cottage is in a perfect location.

Cottage it's self has good modern facilities and was clean and comfortable. Patio area was fab especially given the great weather we got . Only niggle would be the mattress on the double bed could do with upgrading for a firmer one , but that's nit picking.

This was our third stay at the stables.

It is in the most perfect location and yet so peaceful and relaxing. We had a minor problem with the boiler on this stay but within an hour of contacting the owner it was fixed and working again! Outstanding customer service. I'm sure we will be back for a fourth time...perfect break away

We had a fantastic stay in the cottage for a week over the New Year.

It was very homely & had every thing we needed in a beautiful place. There are some lovely walks. The owner Vivian was lovely when l contacted her too.

Excellent cottages

A great cottage to be able to relax and a good base to explore North Wales.

Our holiday was brilliant from start to finish.

Sykes were so easy to deal with and the emails, messages regarding countdown to our stay were enjoyed and appreciated by our 2 very excited children. The property was exactly as described. It was beautiful inside and out. The owner was so helpful. The Sykes app was so useful when I downloaded with information about the area, tours, amenities and even the weather forecast. We had never done a holiday like this before, we either went to apart hotels in Europe or stayed in hotels in Ireland, but without doubt, we would rent a house/cottage again and would use Sykes again. I have already recommended this agency and this property to 2 other families. Thank you for all your help. Couldn't br happier!!

We had such a great time. Very remote, no noise, good to read books, sometimes you can hear the sheep. We only thought the bathroom was a little small. Otherwise great. All you need, was available.

Over all the holiday was great just that when we arrived there was no extra toilet paper and there was dog hair all over the beds.

Way surpassed our expectations the scenery around the area is fantastic and convenient location to get to Mount Snowdon, Ogwen Valley etc.

This is a Tranquil cottage set in an ideal location.

Stables cottage is clean, practical & homely exactly what we needed for our mini break. Beware of the steep, spiral staircase if you struggle with mobility and the bathroom is a bit compact but what a great find. Ms H. (Wiltshire) Please don’t publish my name thank you

Bed lovely and comfortable.

Might advise to bring slippers as slate floor is cool to touch. Tea cosy would have been great but we remembered and brought own. Also reminder not to get rid of the key box code as need it when leave.

We could not ask for more, great place to stay, very relaxing, wife loved it dog loved it I loved it.
