    “We arrived when storm Amy was at its height, got in the cottage and we were snug and warm.”

    The second bedroom was a bit tight, Ok for 2 children, but a squeeze for 2 adults, the kitchen was a good size, a few problems, dish washer needed salt, the washing machince, does not have any detergent/pods. Also no cling film or foil, no baking trays,or roasting tins, as we like to buy local produce, from small producers, and cook our meals, that said, it was a great location, lovely walks around, rock sands beach 30 min walk, even though there are 2 other holiday lets, you would not know they ...

The bustling harbour town of Porthmadog lies on the Glaslyn Estuary and enjoys a stunning setting. The gateway to the Snowdonia National Park, Porthmadog is full of individual shops and restaurants, and home to the Ffestiniog Railway and the Welsh Highland railway where you can travel by steam through spectacular Snowdonia scenery, to Blaenau Ffestiniog or Caerforn . The pretty village of Borth Y Gest, with its cliffs and coves, is a short walk or drive from the town. The well known and unique Italianate village of Portmeirion is just down the coast.
