Seaview Apartment 5

Upon entering the property through the patio doors, the stairwell absolutely stunk.

I can’t describe the smell, dirt, damp, stale air. Whatever the smell was awful. This smell was in the apartment, but not as bad. Contrary to the advert, there was no wi-fi connection in the apartment. There was a password to join wi-fi but there was no wi-fi name to select. I asked the manager and was given a name, but it didn’t work. The towels and bed linen were clean. Overall I would say the whole place needed ripping out and refreshing, it is very tired. The wooden part of the staircase up to the roof top apartment was absolutely treacherous, because we had a lot of rain and the stairs were very slippy. The rooftop patio was unusable because of the weather, if the weather would have been good, we wouldn’t have used it anyway as it was filthy. The good thing was the view from the apartment, splendid!

A comfortable, spacious, relaxing apartment with an amazing view.

The surrounding area was peaceful too and close to amenities as described. The property initially had a strange smell in two of the wardrobes, the sliding door on one of the bathrooms is in need of some tlc to help it slide easier and the blinds could do with replacing. Non of this would stop us returning. This property is actually on the second floor with no lift.

Overall, this was a good apartment for our needs as a family of 6 with plenty of space.

Without doubt the best feature was the view from the apartment. An absolutely stunning view over the harbour and close proximity to a lovely pub for burgers in the evening whilst sitting alongside the waterfront. The only downside was the apartment (and hotel as a whole) needs a lot of maintenance and appears very tired. The balcony area in particular could do with a good clean and sprucing up. But then, this is also reflected in the price of the apartment and you get a sense of this from the photos. The hosts were wonderful - very responsive and even brought around fans without prompting when the temperatures started to soar. Many thanks!
