Enjoy the breathtaking countryside at your own pace whilst you marvel at the stunning summits of Snowdonia National Park from the windows, explore scenic trails and stunning local wildlife. If you don’t fancy cooking, head to one of the nearby eateries such as the Giler Arms or a selection in Betws-y-coed whilst you indulge in some retail therapy. For a lunch time snack or to satisfy your caffeine fix there are a choice of local cafes such as the Fisheries, Brenig visitor centre or Country cooks. The choice is endless as you explore local towns such as Ruthin, Llanrwst, and Llandudno or visit the impressive castles of Caernarfon and Harlech. You can also enjoy iconic steam train rides in Llangollen or the West Highland railway. The village of Cerrigydrudion (also known as Cerrig-y-Drudion) is to be found on the high moorlands in the county of Conwy in North Wales. Cerrigydrudion is perfectly situated between the lakeside town of Bala and charming Betws-y-Coed, which is known as the gateway to the Snowdonia National Park. Boasting Lakes Brenig and Alwen within a few miles, this peaceful village offers superb walking, cycling and wildlife watching opportunities amidst the surrounding countryside.
